Great place in an excellent location. The description says not a party house, which is understandable, but if you want to have a fun time with friends and family this is the place to go. The garden is great for playing games like boules and Mölkky on the astro turf area. The games room with pool table and TV has a great feel for all ages and the hot tub and bbq top if off! The house itself is bright and spacious with perhaps the only downside being the lack of any en suite bathroom(s). However, you could argue that this makes it more flexible for different groups. The local area is perfectly semi-rural and we tried some of Julia's recommendations for trips and dining out and all were great. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely go back for another visit!

Everything about our stay has been utterly perfect. Having stayed in many Airbnb’s, this is certainly one of the best. All of the little details have been thought through, from the lovely and generous welcome package, to having plenty of logs available for the hot tub and even extra hot tub towels provided. The outside area is so well looked after that we just wanted to stay in the garden. We didn’t feel the need to leave the cottage at all! What made our experience even better was just how lovely, friendly and helpful Amy has been. I think this will be an annual trip for our family. Thanks so much again 😊

Absolutely beautiful home. Everything you need there and immaculately presented. Great for easy access to local hotspots and walks too. Hot tub was lovely with towels provided. Lots of helpful information and host was really responsive with my questions before arrival. We used for a girls (over 50’s!) weekend but would be perfect for families too.

I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

From a question before we booked to the morning we pulled away to come home the whole experience was superb. Deborah was super attentive from start to finish but totally respected our privacy. The quality of the finish and detail on the actual building cannot be praised highly enough, the facilities, fittings are to the same exceptionally high standard. Spotlessly clean, modern & everything you need for some time away. The silence, but for the birds singing was beautiful, you get way more for your money than you realise. If you are looking then stop and book, you wont be disappointed 👌

Had such a lovely stay here for the bank holiday weekend. Host was so kind and thoughtful, easily contactable and gave us a lovely welcome pack. Would absolutely recommend this property to others. Very peaceful and the wood fired hot tub was amazing! Snowdon within an easy drive under an hour, Llandudno, Colwyn bay etc. perfect location. Thank you Sarah for a wonderful stay we will definitely be returning!

The cottage was easy to find from Derek's instructions which we didn't expect with how rural the area was. The house was beautiful and had extra amenities we didn't expect including a guest account for Netflix on the TV and a fancy fridge with an ice maker. Our dog enjoyed the garden (especially the ducks!) And absolutely loved the private field and river areas. She had a great run off the lead around here and a paddle in the river. With how rural the area was, it was a very quiet and peaceful area but we also visited the Beacon Fell nature reserve which was only a short 15 minute drive which was beautiful. The hosts were very helpful and were happy to answer any questions we had, even if we had already asked the question and just forgotten what they said!

Such a great find this was, in the middle of nowhere , gorgeous in the days and even better at night. So many walks to do round there but most afternoons we were in the house and would definitely go again

We stayed here for a few days whilst visiting. Although we knew the Wirral, we were less familiar with the old village side of Heswall. With beautiful views over the Dee to North Wales, this property is comfortable and well presented, as well as being spotlessly clean. There is a pub literally across the road, and local village shops a few minutes' walk away. There are good walks along the Wirral Way ( a disused railway line) within a few minutes of the house. We lived our stay there and would thoroughly recommend the property and Lisa's hosting.

We had a fabulous few days at Garth Mill. Dan messaged to give us location/check in details & we were also offered an early check in which was perfect. The house is even better than described - pristine and decorated with immaculate taste. The only think I feel would improve it is a larger fridge - but that’s a minor quibble. There is so much history to the house and it is great to see all the old photos dotted about. Dan checked to see we had arrived safely and to make sure we knew he was available for any questions. Would highly recommend!

The downstairs is so well planned, with a lovely kitchen/ conservatory space, and the lounge doors fully open to extend the space if needed. Very airy and spacious, yet snug too! Clever. Front room gets the sun later in day, and sunset views over the field are beautiful. Downstairs bathroom is large and shower is fantastic! Beds are very comfortable and duvet covers etc are soft and good quality, with additional throws and pillows if needed. Upstairs has 2 very good size double bedrooms, plenty of space for luggage and another good bathroom. Several velux windows that can be opened, and the only sound to hear is birds. The kitchen is very well stocked with pans/ utensils etc, central island hob is great for sitting and watching the chef at work! The garden is beautiful, and very private. Wysteria was in full bloom, and all shrubs are well established. Fully fenced in too, so pets can roam without worry. Definitely recommend this beautiful tranquil haven.

This is our third stay at Emma's place and we always love it and the village with our dogs. looking forward to coming back if she'll have us!

Welch Cottage was the perfect holiday home. The property was spacious, exceptionally clean and located off a pretty, leafy lane. The kitchen was a joy for a large family to prepare meals together. Lytham St Anne's was forty minutes away and had everything a young family needed for fun days at the beach and was remarkably free of litter. The Forest of Bowland was peaceful, beautiful and unspoilt. Thank you, we hope to return.

Peaceful spot, makes a nice change to open the door and see chickens and ducks. Our dog was fine with the resident dogs and loved walks on the canal and catching a ball in the field. Would love to stay again.

Really nice peaceful quiet place to stay, Very comfortable house with all you need for a relaxing stay. Walking distance to shops bars bistros and local attractions. Loads to do in the local area and little further afield. Really clean and comfortable place to stay really cosy with great views from the private decking area at the rear. Off road parking too. I would recommend to anyone or a group visiting the area to stay here. Lorraine was really nice great communication and really accommodating.

We stayed for 3 months and Andrew was great throughout. Felt like home, while our own home was being refurbished. Great setting with an abundance of places to eat out and beautiful walks. Thank you Andrew you are too guy, we are extremely grateful

A beautiful find! We stayed for the weekend for a local wedding and the place felt just like home. Really cosy but spacious, very clean and tidy too. Easy to find with the directions, parking easy and super peaceful! Can’t recommend enough!

Top marks on all counts. Beautiful property, in a great location for exploring in Blackpool and Fylde direction or the countryside. We particularly liked the garden which was great for an Easter egg hunt and kickabouts. We also especially liked the big farmhouse kitchen and very comfortable beds.

We had a wonderful time staying at Margaret’s cottage with our 2 young children. The cottage is so well designed with lots of lovely touches and was spotlessly clean throughout. John and Karen were wonderful hosts, communication was excellent and we would definitely recommend them, we can’t wait to return!

Diane is an amazing host and this Airbnb is truly a gem. The location is beautiful, quiet and the views from the cottage our over the fields are amazing. The cottage is luxurious spacious and incredibly well equipped. The kitchen had everything we could want including a proper espresso machine. The local towns are good and have plenty of restaurants and shops, our host also shared several amazing local dog walks with us.

We had a lovely stay, visiting our family, and found the cottage really warm and cosy. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Rodney and Sheila were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you.
