Tranquility & Vistas on the Farm in the Guest Barn

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.

The Bridge View Studio

Perfect getaway and a perfect location to get to know Elkader with it’s coffee shops, antique mall, shops, opera house and beautiful Turkey River. Property was homesteaded in 1841 and sits directly across from the courthouse and looks over the famous Keystone Bridge and downtown. Come stay awhile. ***NOTE: Because we are located across from the court house the clock tower bells can be heard from our location. Main part of the house is our residence, Airb&b has separate entrance on the side.

Glenwood Getaway

1860's log cabin, remodeled into a modern house. Located 8 miles east of Decorah on 5 acres of woods. Cell service is weak (Verizon, US Cell) or not available (others). WiFi is available. TV with local BluRay/DVD/VHS only - No TV channel service. Come here to get away. The last mile to the house is a gravel road. Main entry is on the 1st (lowest) floor. One bedroom on the 2nd floor. Two bedrooms on the 3rd floor. There is one bathroom on each floor. Stairs to the 3rd floor are steep.

Create and tell stories while sitting under the stars next to the crackling campfire. Do your morning yoga by the babbling stream. Hike the trails. Soak up the sun on the sandy beach while listening to the waterfall. Laugh and splash your kiddos in our pond. Beach chairs, sand toys, floaties, kayaks, and more.

Cushions Cabins West

Very private, secluded and relaxing spot within 30 yards of walking or biking trail. Enjoy wildlife, plenty of deer and eagles to watch off the large open front porch. Fire pits for each cabin with firewood provided. Grill provided in front yard. Two private bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Kitchen included microwave, 2-burner stove and full size refrigerator. Coffee make and toaster also provided. River for canoeing and kayaking within walking distance.

The Bluffside Retreat is an ideal location for the adventure seekers who want a unique and private experience that is still close to all the action. The home is situated alongside the bluff on a private & partially wooded lot within walking distance of the Mississippi River, historic downtown McGregor and a Pikes Peak State Park TrailHead. It is a charming “home away from home” that has all the amenities for a memorable vacation stay.

Main unit on N. 2nd Street

The Stone Home on N 2nd Street is a historic limestone building. We are 1/2 block from the Mississippi River with views of both the river and BlackHawk bridge. Across the street is the local ice cream shop. We are 1 block from main street and easy walking to restaurants/bars and shops. This is the main street level unit which features a ramp for zero step entry. There is an upper unit above this one.

Acorn Cabin

Acorn Cabin sits perched on a lovely family farm just 3 minutes from downtown Decorah. The Cabin is a restored granary dating back to 1912 and has been crafted with love and attention to detail. Perfect for couples and small families. Enjoy this opportunity to stay on a working Icelandic Sheep farm with quiet, peaceful evenings, and glorious views of the surrounding countryside.

Yellow River Getaway

2 Bedroom cabin with Queen Beds and Queen Sofa sleeper with comfortable mattress if you want to pitch a tent in the yard feel free. One mile from trout fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding and 8500 acres of Yellow River State Forest.
