We had a wonderful short stay at the Wee Housie! We were warmly welcomed by Jenny and felt comfy right from the beginning. The little home had everything we needed. The location is stunning – we loved the close distance to the sandy beach of Talmine Bay and had a wonderful hike right from the front door along the coast of Tongue Bay.

Great stay at this fantastic house. Party of nine with dog. Three generations all enjoyed the space and the beautiful surroundings. Perfect that each room has an en-suite. Plenty of room for cooking in kitchen and two fridges. Selection of spaces to socialise or have time to yourself. Everyone found the house very relaxing and great to be able to bring dog.

Our third stay in this wonderful house . Homely and cosy with a great log burner and everything you need . Stunning views and great access to the beautiful north coast . Bring a head torch if you arrive after dark . Logs are available at Bettyhill cafe and the Wee Shop on the way to Thurso . Can’t recommend highly enough as a great ‘getaway from it all ‘ place to relax and unwind .

Amazing pod on a magnificent location. We loved our stay. The pod is beautiful, modern and cozy. Everything we needed for a 5 day stay was there. Great kitchen in the pod with everything you need to cook lovely meals, including an oven. Comfy couch, lovely shower. Pod has underfloor heating which is amazing to warm up after a rainy day. We enjoyed walking towards the beach and alongside the shore at sunset. Would highly recommend.

Location couldnt be better. Stunning views, sunsets, a few steps to the beach. Comfortable and well equipped house, within walking distance of excellent pub (drinks and food), shop (groceries) and community café (weekday lunches). Would highly recommend and hope to return many times.

The location was perfect. It’s quite hard to find a place if you don’t make reservations in advance (even in April) so keep that in mind. The place was lovely. And Fiona was very responsive.

We really loved staying at the cottage - after every long hike, it was amazing coming “home”! It is located super close to Portree so very practical but calm and peaceful as there are only two houses at the end of a long drive. The cottage has been renovated very luxuriously with lots of space (eg separate dressing room and office) and there is great attention to detail (eg the map in the office with pins which matched the description in the book). The bed and towels were better than a lot of hotels we stayed in! The kitchen and bathroom (bath and shower!) were fab. It really was a gorgeous home away from home. Juliet was great and always available. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely few days away very relaxing Charlette was a great host. We hope to go back sometime.

My wife and our 2 little boys stayed at Gemma’s place for 3 nights. Instructions were great, check-in was easy, the place was spotless and within 50m walk of the beach. Helpfully, all of the things that you need for a short stay but don’t wish to buy especially were also there (eg buckets and spades, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, olive oil, soap, tea coffee etc) a great stay - thank you!

Lovely stay at Shirley’s lodge. Caravan was really clean, beds super comfy and lots of games was a bonus. Great to have the bath, washing machine and dishwasher. Place was spotless and loved the decor. One row back from the beach and huge bit of grass at the front for the kids. Great communication from Shirley and we all had a fab time

Amazing place! It was great stay. We had nice and peaceful vacation in this place. I want to highlight the detailed instructions for each and every utility in this house. It was very helpful. Thank you to our host for the opportunity to recharge in that nice house.

Last minute get away, the pod it’s self was absolutely beautiful, warm and well equipped. Easy check in, the private hot tub was a lovely. Shower wasn’t that powerful but it absolutely did the job! Check the safety information if you are allergic to horses. 🫣 it does state that there will be horses close (I clearly didn’t check this before booking, ooops) Although they were no problem at all!! They were far enough away from the pod apart from a blink in the morning so it was absolutely no issue for us really. Overall it is a beautiful place and we highly recommend staying here!! Thanks for a brilliant stay! xx

It was such a delight to stay in the lovely yurt, and the wood-burning stove was an additional treat. Shieldaig is a lovely peaceful place with fantastic views. We spent a fine few days of relaxing holiday.

When booking a family reunion I wanted something very special and memorable. This holiday home is set within the most beautiful bay, 2 minutes walk from the beach at Clachtoll. Our Easter week was glorious with sunshine every day. We walked, enjoyed picnics, ate lovely meals out at Delilah’s and the Lochinver Pie shop. A wildlife boat trip out of Lochinver with Skipper Tony is great fun for young and old alike. For any ornithologists a trip to Handa will be joyous…..we were lucky to see puffin!! The layout of the holiday home is excellent with lots of space and importantly there are two bedrooms on the ground floor ideal for elderly or anyone with mobility issues. Thank you, Lisa and Guy for giving us the most wonderful memories of such a special holiday together. Heather
