Situated 96km outside Cape Town, it is an ideal getaway right on the beach with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a small mezzanine with a sofa-bed for kids (accessed by a wall ladder), a fully equipped kitchen (including dish washer and washing machine), open plan dining and lounge and a deck with barbecue. This is one of Cape Town's environmental and historic treasures. It is a candle-lit hideaway with stunning views of mountain and sea. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

For the outdoor enthusiasts Helderberg provide trails for hiking and mtbiking and our dam covers swimming, rowing and sundowners.

The open plan bathroom faces onto an enclosed secret garden which includes a frame-less glass shower. The unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and is serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.
