Had a fabulous (and alas, all-too-brief) stay at this architectural gem, located in a quiet and tranquil setting just a few minutes from the centre of Owen Sound. Sim was a wonderful host -- communicative and with lots of tips for things to see and do in the district. We aim to return as soon as possible!

This was our second stay at this home in Desboro. It is the perfect retreat - quiet, space, an extremely cozy (but not small) home. We were happy to be there in a snow storm with a fire, snowshoes, and pingpong!

My 3rd time staying here - fantastic as always!

The farmhouse is absolutely beautiful and picturesque. We were there during the biggest snow storm of the year and it felt like we had our own private winter wonderland. She had arranged for a plow to clear the driveway and everything went very smoothly despite getting over a meter of snow in 3-4 days. The house itself is beautiful and is a great mix of old timey charm and character as well as modern amenities (new kitchen, bedroom and bathroom). We especially enjoyed sitting in the living room with the fireplace going while relaxing and riding out the snowfall. This was one of the most relaxing stays we have had with plenty of privacy and beautiful views. It is also close enough for short trips to Collingwood/Blue Mountain. Johanna is also a great host. Although we did not meet face to face, she was very responsive and provided lots of information and local recommendations. She even checked in on us to make sure we didn't get completely snowed in. Overall a great experience!

We completely enjoyed our stay at Capelle Huis. It is a beautiful old farmhouse with unique touches that is very well maintained. We liked everything from the pets, the property, the view, our rooms and the relaxing fire pit at night. All of this, and to have John as our amazing host made the weekend with our family there a very memorable one. We will be back.

Great place to get-away and relax with family of 4. Beautiful views of the lake surrounded by nature. Very friendly and quiet community. Would come back again for a stay. Andrea great at communicating and prompt responses.

Devan and Taylor, Thank You very much - we had a great family mini-vacation! From booking of the place to us leaving, communications were great, quick and clear. Location is great, 10-minute drive from center of Owen Sound, walkable to the nearest grocery store, many things to do nearby and in the area. The house itself is in a very private area, between trees with a beautiful view from a hill to the field and forest. Very quiet with millions of stars above at night. The house feels recently renovated, clean, fresh, very well equipped for daily family life. We enjoyed every moment of staying here, felt really like home. We are definitely looking to come back!

The cabin is absolutely adorable. It’s perfectly secluded In nature while being within a couple of minutes of all the action/amenities. It was cozy and the perfect spot to detach from the busy city life. Strongly recommend, we will be back.

This country home was an absolute gem—peaceful, beautifully decorated, and spotless. It was the perfect retreat for a relaxing stay. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and the atmosphere was incredibly serene. Highly recommend! Perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our mom's birthday. We will be back and for longer next time!

We had a great stay here for a bachelorette party. The place has been beautifully renovated and had lots to do. This place is perfect in every season. We really enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, use of golf cart, and the private lake. Would definitely love to come back.

One of the best stays we've ever experienced! Alex and Dixie were super responsive, and very accommodating with our very last minute additions to our trip. From the moment we arrived at the property, we felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. Alex and Dixie were proactive in making sure we could contact them when needed and ensured that we checked in and out easily. Lots of entertainment provided on site, and multiple hang out spots throughout the house. As the 13 year old said, "the beds were super comfy", and it's definitely hard to impress a 13 year old. Would recommend to anyone who wants a farmhouse experience with a large group of friends/family - a stunning home that has that personal touch you want during your stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Catherine’s property! The house was beautifully maintained, clean, and incredibly comfortable for our group. Everything was so thoughtfully arranged, we found all the essentials and more, which made our stay easy and enjoyable. The outdoor space was lovely, and there was plenty to keep both the kids and adults entertained. Catherine was an exceptional host, very prompt, responsive, and genuinely caring. Her attention to detail and hospitality really made a difference. We’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped getaway, and we’d definitely love to visit again!

Emily was a great host. She responded to questions and concerns right away! The house and yard was beautiful and the hot tub was crystal clear. The house being right by the falls was nice and not far from blue moutian was amazing! The only down fall was issues with the hot water but Emily tried actively to get the proproblem resresolved even on a Holiday! Will definitely be back.

Was a perfect spot to stay at while I took a weekend course. Heidi, Rudy and Max were great hosts and their place made me feel right at home. I’d definitely stay with them again if I make it back to the area.

We had an incredible time staying at Aden and Mark’s farmhouse! Despite the snowstorm, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere made it feel like a perfect winter retreat. The farmhouse was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was ideal, just a short distance from Blue Mountain, making it easy to enjoy skiing and the beautiful snow-covered scenery. Aden and Mark were fantastic hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed and going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with easy access to outdoor fun!

The house was very spacious with lots of room very everyone to spread out. There were so many toys for the toddler in our group to play with, she was always occupied. The hot tub was very clean. Craig was very quick to respond to any questions and provided lots of information regarding the property and amenities.

Amazing vacation rental, fully equipped so cozy, warm with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Beautiful view of the mountains with big windows, spacious bedrooms and all the amenities we needed. Zehra was amazing and gave us great pointers on what to visit and it was all worth it. We are returning home with great souvenirs 🧡

We stayed here as a group of 8 friends, 3 of us being couples, for a couple of nights to go skiing in Blue Mountain. The cottage had everything we could have possibly needed, even things we wouldn't have thought we would need. It really felt like a family home, and I can see myself coming here with my family one day! It was VERY clean, super spacious, everyone had sufficient privacy and room to roam around. I stayed in all day while the others went to Blue Mountain as I am pregnant, and had a very lovely and cozy time. The manual for the home was very thorough, and I loved how every room had its own AC unit so everyone could adjust their own temperature. Amy has been very responsive and helpful throughout, from even before booking. The location is also wonderful, so quiet and private, yet very close to BM village. Can't recommend this place enough, and I look forward to coming some day in the summer to take advantage of the huge property!

From the moment we arrived at Ladybank school house we felt the world lift off our shoulders , what a joyous place to have found . The school house is truly gorgeous, the grounds so beautiful ( a secret little fairy garden for yoga, reading and cloud watching was my favourite) and the surrounding area was so very pleasant to drive around , the general store in Feversham is like something from a movie set lol and you can buy EVERYTHING ! Peter , well what to say! we have designated him Super Duper Host , we were provided with an enormous basket of just picked vegetables of EVERY variety and oodles of fresh herbs , dropped at the curb so we were never disturbed . We spent a glorious rainy day just cooking delicious recipes in the very well stocked ‘ chef style ‘ kitchen and 10 days home are still enjoying them . The generosity of the Ladybank farm was unparalleled. We will be back ….

Lovely stay! We enjoyed our stay at Christine’s place for girls trip of 5 and a close drive to Thornbury and Blue Mountains. The communication was great and responsive. The house itself was clean, spacious and very peaceful for a summer trip. Would stay again in this beautiful home!

The place was beautiful and it was exactly like the pictures. The exterior area was also pretty. The house had all amenities and also complimentary stuff from the host which elevated the house to next level. The sleeping mattresses are also strong and good for the back. The only small thing happened was the dining area couch had a weak leg and it broke. I feel bad for the host but it seemed that the couch was on the verge of breaking anytime and we avoided sitting also but by mistake someone forgot. The person was fine with only few scratches on the knee as it was a low fall! Other than this the house is perfect getaway and I would definitely visit again. The warm welcome was highly appreciated and we enjoyed the entire time.

Elisa was a gracious and welcoming host. Very responsive and flexible; accommodated us with a late check-out which made our final morning that much more relaxing. The spa (a modest extra cost) was beautiful and very relaxing - far exceeded expectations! A great location in Grey Highlands
