Cosy cottage in beautiful Branxton

Our lovely holiday home, Mary's Cottage, is set in the beautiful North Northumberland countryside just a few miles from the Scottish Borders. In the peaceful village of Branxton, it offers country walks from the door and combines tranquility & style with warmth & comfort. It’s the perfect romantic, rural retreat at any time of the year.

Private, spacious, comfortable annex in a rural setting with south facing views overlooking unspoilt countryside. Perfect for 2/4 people, the Den features a fully fitted kitchen and dining area downstairs, along with a comfortable lounge and bedroom with 2 single beds and ensuite toilet / shower. The upstairs bedroom boasts a double bed in a large room with built in wardrobes & ensuite toilet / shower. The Den has a private entrance and enclosed garden, safe for children. A space to rest and relax in the Scottish Borders

Part of a Steading (barn) sympathetically converted in 2006, overlooking woods and fields from its own enclosed garden. The cottage is ideaI for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. One hour by car from Edinburgh, 35 mins from Lindisfarne and 45 mins from Bamburgh. If you'd like to leave the car at home and cycle to us it is 13 miles from the station at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Tucked away down a small lane, you can walk or cycle from the door or simply sit and watch the wildlife.

The Black Triangle Cabin

The Black Triangle Cabin is a peaceful getaway situated on our property just outside of Jedburgh, a historic town in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The Cabin sleeps 2 people in a king size bed, with a separate living/kitchen space boasting views through the woods and across the fields. If you keep an eye out, you may see the deer that pass through regularly, or even hear our resident owl. Ideally located only an hour from Edinburgh, Newcastle and the St Abbs coastline.

Unwind in a stunning rustic woodland cabin

The Woodland Cabin is set on the edge of a forest near the beautiful small village of Abbey St Bathans, just 1 hour south of Edinburgh. Come and relax in the woods with a book or grab your hiking boots or bikes and explore the surrounding countryside. We're a 20 minute drive from the coast which has stunning cliff top walks and beautiful little bays and fishing villages. Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Bread Oven Cottage - a cosy slice of history

Characterful self-contained accommodation offering two bedrooms and two shower rooms in a pretty 17th century cottage. VisitScotland 4star graded. Master bedroom featuring a superking zip-link double bed (can also be a twin) and en-suite shower room. Second bedroom with a king size double bed and private shower room. The Bothy at Dod Mill is a studio-style barn conversion for 1-4 guests, near the Royal Burgh of Lauder in the Scottish Borders. The property has been interior-designed with modern, rustic styling. The Bothy has its own walled-garden area with views to rivers, woodland, an orchard and rare-breed sheep. Cosy-in with a woodburning stove (unlimited logs!), drink good coffee, cook, bake, read, or simply relax in the space around you. WiFi, tea & Nespresso coffee included.

This is an ideal location to explore East Berwickshire, with Coldingham Bay and beautiful St. Abbs nearby. Edinburgh is one hour away, famous for its Castle and festivals.
