We have stayed here several times and we love it more with each visit. Mike and Amy have invested in their property and there are new updates with each year. There is newer furniture than what is pictured. The lake is so nice for swimming!!! And having access to all the kayaks, paddle boat, etc makes the stay so much more fun and relaxing. Sitting on the deck listening to the loons and star gazing is the perfect end to the day!

Absolutely a beautiful place to stay. We were a group of coworkers, but the house is definitely a place for a family. I will try to make time to come back with the family.

We had the best time staying in this house. It was clean and spacious and so cozy and comfortable. The host was fantastic and super helpful and we would definitely love to return.

We highly recommend this place. All went very smooth throughout the reservation, check-in and check-out process. The house is set-up to enjoy the easy access lake view. Lots of comfortable outdoor furniture, too. The kitchen is full stocked with all the pots, pan, etc. you could need…including a crockpot. Coffee pot tip…don’t pull more than 8 cups of water in the pot or 2 scoops (1/2 cup) grounds - or the water stops flowing through or you end up with a lot of grounds in the pot. We would be very happy to return here!

My wife and I had a few days off for a fall break. Dennis' place was a perfect spot. The drive there and the surrounding woods were vibrant with color. The place was comfortable, well-suited for a short or long stay, and was stocked with plenty to do. The short path to the lake is great, and the dock provides a lovely view. We spent hours just sitting on the dock chairs reading. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny days. We took the short drive into Traverse City to go to Trattoria Stella, one of our very favorite restaurants. We also took a short hike out back to connect to the Mt Minnie trail and thoroughly enjoyed that hike. Being minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire, and Franfort was a perfect location. Our last evening, we went 15 minutes to Peterson Beach and watched the sun set and stayed to watch all the stars emerge in the darkness. It was amazing! We didn't, but we could have built a fire there on the beach.. We hope to return. Thanks Dennis!

First time experience at a lake house and it was very pleasant. Stayed with a 11 member group including kids from age 1 to 13 and everyone liked the place. Access to Pontoon was an added attraction and was very easy to learn and operate. Scott responds to texts within minutes and always accessible, place is easy to find and the location is serene.

The cabin was right on a lake with kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe. The fire pit was located lakeside as well. It was beautiful and peaceful at all hours of the day. Our kids loved it! The house is clean and fully stocked. Perfect space for our family of six. Connections are spotty in the area which allowed us to more readily unplug from the world. Host was communicative and responsive to our questions and gave clear instructions for arrival and departure. Very happy with our decision to stay at this location! Highly recommend.

Beautiful huge cabin on the lake! Comfortable bed and linens. Aaaand pet friendly. My little family and I really enjoyed our time in Iron River and did a lot of exploring. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped save our weekend.

The location was great for us. The space was prefect, exactly as described. Would most definitely stay again!!

We loved the idea of converting an old motel into a more comfortable and spacious place right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable, "living" room space with table, microwave and fridge were just what we needed, and folks we met were very friendly. We'd stay here again!

Danielle’s place was absolutely adorable and in a perfect location. Communication was excellent, the bed was super comfortable and she had everything you could ever need. We are excited to stay there again in the future!

We very much enjoyed our getaway on Stevens Lake. The setting of this house is peaceful, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. We loved listening to the loon on the lake and our son had a great time down by the lake. The house itself was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. We arrived late at night on a foggy night, but Jane's directions were perfectly clear so we had no trouble locating this out of the way spot. Would highly recommend.

We've stayed a few times with Dave and always love our time here. He is very responsive to questions, makes excellent suggestions, and even provides a holiday touch. We love staying here with access to the kayaks on Portage Lake in the summer and the beautiful views year-round.

I have stayed here before back in 2022 and really enjoyed it. The size was nice and everyone was easy to work with. For the cost, this is comparable to a hotel with much less room. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks...

I stayed at the Flip Flop Inn in October 2024 with my husband and 2 year old son. The Flip Flop Inn was exactly as described and a great place for a family to stay. Stacey even had a baby gate and child lock on the cabinets. The tub worked well for bathing a toddler and for adult shower. The space was very clean, warm on cold nights, and was a nice private space. Not sharing a wall with anyone else meant we did not have to worry about toddler noise waking others. The area was very quiet and we slept well. The host was very responsive when we had questions. The Airbnb is about a 10-15 minute walk or short drive to Beulah restaurants and the town public beach. US 31 is very close and it's within 45 minutes of Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes, 10 minutes from Frankfort and Lake Michigan, and 10 miles from Crystal Mountain. Accessibility note: the Airbnb is located up one flight of stairs and the 6 foot long path from parking to the door is slightly uneven.

My family and I came up to this area to visit Door County. It was about 25 minutes to the Door County area, but we went up two days in a row and enjoyed the drive both days. As far as the condo itself, it was great. Very comfortable and roomy and had everything we needed. My 12 year old daughter was sad when we had to leave because she enjoyed it so much. It was a true gem!! Thanks for giving us what felt like a home away from home!!!

This was our second time staying at Blair's cottage and we would absolutely stay here again on our next Door County trip. The cottage feels so peaceful and private with stunning views of Lake Michigan. We loved hearing the lake (and nothing else) from inside the cottage. And it was a 15 minute drive to Sister Bay when we wanted to go out to eat. This is a special place!

The cottage was cute and spotless. The beds were comfortable, including nice sheets and it had everything that we needed. We stayed during the winter so didn’t get to utilize the lake but it’s close to the house and looks like it would be awesome during the summer. It’s only a 17 min drive to Crystal Mtn.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! From the booking to anything we needed and Larry is an awesome host! The lake, the camp fire and the cabin, is all very nice and welcoming. Infinite stars from us! My family loved it! You can stay by the lake all day and hang out and you’ll never get bored. Creed (our four legged child), loved the place as well and he was happy as a clam the whole time. We couldn’t ask for a better lake house to go to and we are definitely coming back! Larry, thank you so much! You are truly and an amazing host!

We loved this rental… it was early season so the only thing we missed was the dock and kayaks for fishing were not available yet. We also weren’t able to have a fire as there weren’t any outdoor seating available. Again early season and totally understood. The view from the rental is amazing and pictures do not do it justice. They have a wonderful piece of heaven.

Enjoyed a spectacular 4 day weekend with 3 generations at this beautiful property and would come back. For those who had concerns about the “stairs,” they are more like terraces and most can be avoided with a short detour. We enjoyed 2 fishing piers, kayaks, aluminum boat and the paddle boat. Highly recommended.

We had a great time staying overnight at the UP Sunrise Cottages. The host, Angie, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, even when we had late-night, last-minute questions about checking in. The house was on a beautiful lakeside group of properties, and it was fully stocked with amenities, clear instructions, and super clean, comfy spaces.

We stayed here for the NFL draft. This place was everything we needed and more. Great proximity to the highway- straight shot to Lambeau field. Stephanie was responsive and the house was very cozy. I would highly recommend this place, whether you are going to see a game or just need a relaxing getaway! Thank you again!
