We thoroughly enjoyed our homes and would be more than happy to stay here again. We enjoyed the farmhouse and annex with our family of 8 adults and three children. Both, but especially the farmhouse, were well stocked and equipped. The homes were very clean and spacious and the hosts were very communicative and helpful. We had a nice walk through the forest to Hall Park and then food on the high street (6 mins walk to nice selection of places)- so a really well located place.

Fantastic quite relaxing place, very comfortable. Directions to find the place were good, but perhaps a sign at the end of the little lane might have helped, we drove past twice before finding it.

There is a gate to get on the property and we were unable to call Miranda when at the gate due to poor reception. I imagine this was because we are from the US and ATT is our carrier and I suppose England does not have a lot of ATT towers for cellular. We were unable to make phone contact at the gate and drove about 5 or so minutes into town to get good phone coverage and drove back. The house was clean and in a pleasant area. Miranda was most helpful.

Rose Cottage was just lovely and Colette was a fabulous host! We loved getting to know her, their sweet doggies and beautiful horses! (And one morning, the hens sent us a nice breakfast!) The cottage has 2 nice sized bedrooms on the ground floor, so no lugging suitcases upstairs. Two full baths, one with a claw foot tub that was perfect for soaking after a day of sightseeing. Fully stocked kitchen and comfy family room upstairs to relax and unwind. It really was the perfect landing place for my husband, son, and I to take day trips to Hever Castle, Hampton Court, Syon House and Windsor Castle. All are within an hour; however, this was my first time driving on the "wrong" side of the road so I may have taken a little longer to get to places! And I have to make mention of the Black Swan Pub, just a hop, skip, and jump from the property. We spent many evenings there! Fantastic food and drinks and very friendly staff. A short stay but a lovely place to relax after work. There is plenty of space and an amazing fireplace and it has everything you need. Danielle was very helpful and friendly. Recommended!

We had a lovely weekend. The house was perfect for us. Location for us was great and it was lovely and private. The en-suites in each room made a very comfortable experience for us, our daughter and my son,daughter-in-law with their 6month old baby. Would definitely book again. Thank you

We had an enchanting stay at this festive cottage in Essex! The cozy ambiance truly captured the holiday spirit, making our experience magical. The cottage was smaller than we expected and the ceiling in the living room was very low, however, what it lacked in space it was made up in the charming character of the cottage. The host's attentiveness added an extra layer of comfort to our stay. From thoughtful touches to prompt communication. If you're seeking a charming and festive retreat with a host who cares about your experience, this cottage in Essex is a good choice.

I have already booked to go back again for two weeks in June, that's how lovely this place is. Beautiful location, set on its own, on a farm, lovely and quiet with stunning outlook. The wood burner was very popular, Christine had already set it up ready for our arrival. Didn't get around to using the BBQ or Firepit Very comfy bed made it difficult to get up in the morning zzzz Thanks Christine and Mark for making us welcome.

The accomodation is in a peaceful, secure rural location. It is very well equipped and comfortable. Although I was staying by myself, it would have been very comfortable for a couple. I would certainly stay here again if I was visiting the area.
