Wir haben unsere Zeit in dem Haus sehr genossen. Wir konnten viele Tiere beobachten und haben nachts dem Dschungel gelauscht. Von unserer Terasse aus haben wir unter anderem Spinnenaffen, Kolibris, Tukane und Agutis gesehen. Nancy ist eine sehr aufmerksame und hilfsbereit Gastgeberin.

Durman’s place is located at the center of Puerto Jimenez; 5-minute walk to the airport. The place was really confortable and spacious. This is a great place for a couple or couple with 2 children. It has a separate area to work remotely and the internet is fast and reliable. You feel like at home. You can find restaurants, drugstores, banks and markets close by. You can park your car in the premises and get to visit all the beautiful places in the OSA Peninsula. I would definitely stay again at Durman’s if I am visiting the peninsula again.

This was an extraordinary experience; one of our favorite spaces and trips that we have ever had. The nature is unbeatable. Monkeys and macaws are your close neighbors. The jungle is home, and the energy it provides is nurturing and deeply spiritual. The layout of the house is spacious and open. The beach is private and a beautiful 5 minute walk. Super schönes und großes Haus 5 Minuten entfernt von Puerto Jiminez. Haben hier 2 Tage verbracht und und sehr wohl gefühlt. WLan und Netflix funktionieren super und auch die Küche hat alles was man brauchen könnte. Janina ist immer sofort erreichbar und hat mit Josh jemanden in der Nähe der helfen kann, falls es Probleme gibt. Wir konnten früher einchecken und später auschecken, sowie Flaschen ausleihen. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

The location is absolutely amazing. If you surf you’re only about a 8 minute walk to the surf spot. You can walk to many different restaurants, grocery store. Every morning we were woken by different kinds of birds singing. The place itself is very nice. I do have a few negative things, the pillows are super thin, there was not any soap or shampoo (not a problem the store was close), the bathroom is on the first floor and if your wife is like mine who has to pee 6 million times during the night, I got tired of going up and down the stairs with her! The only other thing and it is in the description was no hot water, I thought my wife was joking when she told me this before booking the place. Nope! No hot water, the shower outside water is hotter! Other than these little items, the place is amazing, the host replied really fast when we needed anything, the location is amazing. We felt really safe! The price was great for this place. Just pack an extra pillow and soap!

Juan was very helpful and responsive. The place was clean and had everything we needed, a really lovely place to stay.

Guiselle was extremely kind to take my last minute one night reservation and to let me check in early. The place is bright and comfortable. I didn’t use any of the small kitchen appliances (coffee maker, rice cooker, panini heater…) The fridge was clean and in good working order, as were the 3 fans. Guiselle was welcoming and efficient, and her place is well suited to anyone wanting to spend a few days in Puerto Jiménez. Thank you Guiselle!

je ne sais pas par où commencer tant l'expérience à été belle à vivre ! tous les commentaires positifs lus précédemment sont exacts c'est une maison incroyable dans un environnement si paisible Luis nous a fait découvrir plein de coins merveilleux . Raquel et sa sœur nous ont fait de très bon repas et la maison est super bien entretenue . franchement n'hésitez pas à réserver à finca manglar , vous ne le regretterez pas De bons souvenirs garantis Merci Lia de proposer ce genre d'endroit à louer et un grand merci à Luis et sa famille d'être des personnes si sympathiques et avenantes . plutôt que de louer chez des grosses compagnies avec 40 personnes pour un guide , ici vous avez votre guide Luis disponible rien que pour vous et d'une extrême gentillesse pour info , cascade superbe , bateau dans la mangrove ( caïmans, serpents , singes, toucans , perroquets etc....) et plage privé en bateau ( magnifique plage ) cherchez pas , venez ....

Absolutely loved our stay! The space was clean, quiet, and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing surf weekend. Just a short walk to the beach, we were able to paddle out for a few sessions each day. The casita had everything we needed, including an outdoor shower by the pool and plenty of hang out areas with hammocks and chairs. We felt the property was safe and secure. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and stay close to Pavones Point (but definitely the quieter side of Rio Claro).

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Raquel’s place during our trip to Drake Bay. The upstairs sitting area was ideal to see the lapas flying around the surroundings and the pool helped in cooling off. Bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Hope to stay here again.

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great setup for our visit and we look forward to using this location again!

This was our second stay with Nannette. The first time we stayed in the bungalow and this time we stayed in the villa. Both are wonderful!! We really loved the extra space inside and outside at the villa, and the pool was a welcome addition. There are so many great touches to discover here... the outdoor shower, an amazing indoor shower, several seating areas to linger and enjoy the property, beautiful artwork, a fully equipped kitchen, I could go on and on. The grounds are maintained beautifully and wild life is visible daily without having to go anywhere. Nannette and her team are great hosts, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We are already plotting our return. We have traveled all over Costa Rica and have found we prefer the laid back and uncrowded vibe of the Osa. Thank you Nannette for sharing your paradise with us!!

If this home is available, you should definitely book it! My family and I stayed at this home for one week and enjoyed everything about it. The home is very private, safe and located on a spacious, beautifully landscaped property. The pool is a wonderful addition, especially for children. We loved the awning over the pool for shade, and sun. The outside terrace area is great for BBQing and relaxing in the hammocks. We loved the quirkiness of the home. It's an older Costa Rican home, but it has everything you need with hot water, AC, and solar panels - so even when the power went out all over Pavones we still had lights and AC. We slept very well in these beds (the room upstairs is bright, but the downstairs room is black-out). The kitchen is fully equipped, easy for cooking meals. The location was top-notch, easy to drive down to Pavones or Pilon for surfing. Last but not least, Valentine is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond. We definitely want to come back! 5 stars!

Great spot for an adventure! The beaches were challenging to swim but the river and the dipping pool was a nice place for us to all cool off. It was definitely hot sleeping but the small fans helped keep the air moving. We saw monkeys from the porch and even had a few crabs and frogs say hello in the shower. I was very pleasantly surprised with how few bugs there were, even in the evenings with the lights on. It was great spot for us to disconnect and unwind. Would certainly come again!

Elise’s home was lovely and new! You can tell she cares a lot about her home and her guests in both her kind responses and by the little things - filtered water, plenty of hooks to hang items, fully stocked kitchen , even spices! She and her property manager Meredith were so helpful and generous, they responded timely whenever we had any questions. It’s close to the beach and I will definitely try to stay here every time we visit Pavones!

First we were a bit worried by the previous rather negative reviews, but it was totally fine after all. The couch had been repaired and the pots and pans are new. The place is quite remote and the driveway really long and steep, so we totally recommend to have a good car (ideally 4x4). With the remoteness comes a lot of wildlife - we saw so many birds, two types of monkeys and other animals right next to the perch. We brought good binoculars, which made it even better. Later on we did a jungle tour on the Osa peninsula and we were astounded by how many animals we already had seen on the perch in Pavones. The place is quite small. We looked at the pictures again and they don’t give a wrong impression, but for whatever reason we had expected a bigger place. Not the hosts fault. Looking back on our trip to Costa Rica, our stay at the Bird Perch was definitely a high light!

This is such a special place. The place is exactly as described and included all the expected amenities. The outdoor living spaces were unique and lovely and the air-conditioning in the bedroom ensure a great night's sleep. What was phenomenal (although this was also accurate described, but maybe not believable), was the wildlife!! Each afternoon we out bananas on the fruit stand and were royally entertained by the squirrel monkeys. We were also serenaded by toucans, scarlet macaws, and howler monkeys. We saw other birds and reptiles. We just loved this!!

Perfect place for surfers, excellent condos, everything you need and you can watch the beauty of Pavones breaking while having your morning coffee. Would stay again 100%

Non potevamo desiderare di meglio! Co siamo anche molto affezionati come se fossimo in questa casa da sempre.. confortevole, accogliente, perfetta in ogni dettaglio. Ho amato far colazione nell’ampio soggiorno esterno, con uccelli di ogni colore e suono e le ormai amiche iguana di ogni forma e grandezza. Ho osservato il tramonto dalla riva del fiume e riposato serenamente anche quando e’ piovuto di notte.. siamo arrivato stanchi e andiamo via rigenerati e già con nostalgia.. tutto pulitissimo, accessoriato, e’ davvero tutto perfetto! Grazie a Simone per i consigli sui tour vicini, per cortesia e immediatezza. E ad Erica per averci fatto trovare la casa pulitissima e piena di fiori 🌺 consiglio con il cuore di venire in questo luogo magico.

Nice and comfortable for exploring Volcan. Simple but everything you need for a quiet and peaceful stay.

Ce logement est très bien situé, tout près de la plage mais à la fois très calme. Nous avons pu nous rendre à pied et voir le plancton bioluminescent, ce fut magique! Nous voyons des singes de notre terrasse le matin et avons même observé des toucans du confort de la maison. Il n'y a pas de fenêtres mais il n'y a pas de moustiques ni de mouches! Les lits sont confortables et l'internet étonnamment rapide pour un endroit loin de la capitale. Nous avons profité de la rivière à 5 minutes de marche pour nous rafraichir en milieu de journée et Ana Maria nous a montré un caiman dans son milieu naturel. Pour une expérience nature et authentique, je vous recommande.

Es la segunda vez que nos quedamos en el alojamiento de Idys , nos gusta mucho, la tranquilidad del lugar, la casa limpia y la amabilidad de la anfitriona. Sin duda volveremos nuevamente.
