fantastic place to stay in Ballarat. we've stayed in and around Ballarat a few times over the years and this is by far one of the best spots. 1min walk from a good pub, very close by to cafes and best part, the house itself was so cosy and homey. will definitely stay again when we are back in town.

Dean's place is comfortable, and well set up. Dean is a very considerate and welcoming host and adaptable for his guests. I thoroughly recommend this budget stay which is also in a lovely central location in Ballarat and very handy as well for anyone who might be going to Sovereign Hill or taking a course at the Rare Trades Centre.

We had a lovely stay at peel cottage. Lots of charming character and our kids had a ball exploring the house and garden area. Convenient location with the drive cafe just up the road and local supermarkets and playgrounds a 10-15min walk. Also so close to sovereign hill!

Cosy house in a lovely quiet location. The chickens are gorgeous. Neat and tidy. Very easy walk into town.

It was a pleasure getting to know Michelle and her son George while staying in their very comfortable and spacious Ballarat home. Thanks to their kindness, openess and friendly communicatilon, along with their adorable toy poodle and cat I felt very welcome and enjoyed living there across the 9 days. We stayed at The Botanist's House for the Ballarat Marathon weekend. Location was great with only a short 600m walk to the main course intersection so it was easy for family to spectate. There's also an IGA supermarket conveniently located nearby with a huge selection of gluten free foods, which was a welcome find. The house itself was beautiful and felt like a home away from home. Cheryl provided all the amenities we could possibly need for our weekend away including home baked bread. Overall one of our best Airbnb experiences and we wouldn't hesitate to return. The perfect location for my family including 3 young boys on get away. Lots of adventuring options either at the accommodation or close by, lots of lovely wineries in surrounding towns and the accommodation itself was so calming. Mel was such an inviting host but so respectful of our privacy

We are so glad we chose this property for our getaway! Kate was an absolutely amazing host — warm, proactive, and super responsive from the very beginning. The property itself is stunning and has so much to offer. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and you can tell how much care has gone into making it feel like a home away from home. We instantly fell in love with the space and surroundings. Everything was just perfect for our two-night stay. We truly didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to come back again!

We stayed 3 nights at Batesford Lodge and were immediately taken aback by the peaceful surroundings. The host Michael is very friendly and welcoming. Our room and ensuite were large and comfortable. We experienced a great sunset at Dog Rocks and wandered through Michael's established garden. Nothing was too much trouble and he gave us some foldaway chairs for the airshow to borrow. Continental breakfast was supplied which was an added touch. Jedi and Trixie are gorgeous dogs who love people. We loved our stay there thanks Michael.

I really enjoyed my stay at Leon's Homestead, The places are clean and tidy.

Lovely quaint cottage for a restful getaway. We particularly enjoyed a soak in the spa with some wine after a long walk. Very comfy bed and thoughtful touches.

We were truly grateful for our experience at Colin’s place. Colin radiates warmth and friendliness—the kind that genuinely touches your heart. When he said, “you are my guests,” he meant it, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our stay. We arrived late on a chilly night, but the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the cozy warmth of the fireplace that Colin had kindly lit in advance. Despite the late hour, he took the time to show us around the accommodation and chatted with us, making a real effort to connect. We had to leave very early the next morning, and without hesitation, Colin said breakfast would be ready whenever we needed it—including his delicious homemade bread, even at such an early hour! That thoughtful gesture meant a lot to us. Even though our encounter was short, my family learned so much from Colin, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you again, Colin!
