*HOT TUB INCLUDED IN RATE The Stables is a beautiful 17th century cottage apartment which is located in the picturesque village of Georgeham, Croyde. Some of the best beaches in the UK only 5 mins drive. The accommodation got it's name from originally being the stables of the village where the horses were stored, of course you won't find any horses but a beautiful living area Outside there is a cobbled courtyard area with Swedish style covered hot tub area with hot shower and outdoor seating.

The interior retains the original features such as bread ovens, inglenook and beamed ceilings and is full of charm, but it has all the comforts of a modern fully equipped kitchen and stylish bathrooms. This is a perfect escape for families, couples and friends. The cottage comes with a free car pass for Putsborough Sands.

You will be staying in a beautiful green oak outbuilding with 4 dormer windows and a glass gable end offering delightful Devon countryside views. Access is via a private door into the front of the building. From the upstairs living area, a door leads to your own private garden. There is a decking area with a bench and table for outside dining and a barbecue in season. There is a wooden gazebo at the top of the garden also with a table and seating for outside dining with more lovely views.

Brookside is a purposely developed self-contained studio, part of a period thatched cottage located in the centre of the village of Georgeham. The village has two great pubs and Putsborough, Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe beaches are very close. Skirr Cottage was the home of the acclaimed writer Henry Williamson who is best known as the author of Tarka the Otter. With its pretty whitewashed exterior the cottage is set next to a trickling stream next to the historic Norman church of St. George in the heart of Georgeham village. Putsborough surfing beach is a 25 minute walk via fields or via a lane. or 5 minute drive. The Kings Arms and 17th century Rock Inn serving gastro pub food are 1 minute and a 4 minute walk away.

The Retreat is surrounded by all the things we love. A 5 minute walk from Croyde village, Croyde beach and a 15 minute walk to Putsborough beach. We hope that you maybe able to park your car on arrival and not need to use it again during your stay. Access up the lane next to the house to wonderful panoramic walks and views of Baggy Point. We hope its a perfect place to rest those sandy feet and unwind after a full day of sea air.
