The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). I do have a 50.00 pet fee per dog up to 2 dogs only. It is located just above the entrance to the Smoke Hole Canyon with great fishing, beautiful scenery along the paved country curvy road. You can drive through the canyon and come out on Rt 28 just below the Smoke Hole caverns and gift shop. Then continue to Seneca Rocks and hike the rocks or drive to Nelson Rocks for zip lining.

The house is 20 minutes West of Harrisonburg VA and JMU.

Two bedroom, 1 bath cabin nestled in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains beside Waggy's Creek. The cabin, originally built as a mountain family getaway, has recently been renovated as an Airbnb for those seeking outdoor activities and tranquility. The rustic cabin is also accompanied by a picnic shelter with a working rock fireplace, loft, and an additional outdoor bathroom (in season). Approximately 2 acres of field and partially wooded property are available to guests. NO PETS.

You will be able to enjoy relaxing on the screened in back porch that is high up in the trees. Listen to the sounds of the babbling brook, bird calls, and breath in the fresh air of the forest. The tin roof creates a cozy sound on rainy days while you can cuddle up on a comfy couch and nap or watch a favorite movie. Not to mention wonderful hiking trails all around!

A brand new cozy cabin located in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley just outside of Harrisonburg VA. We are located next to several National Parks with great hiking opportunities. The cabin in located at the bottom of the mountain along the trout stocked Dry River. This cabin is equipped with all the amenities to make you feel right at home. You will be able to leave all your worries behind, have a beautiful bonfire while listening to the river run down the beautiful mountain side.

Tiny Tree House

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This brand new, 550 square foot tiny house in the trees has everything you need, and is designed with a local feel. Minutes from George Washington National Forest and dry river. The cabin is only 20 minutes from downtown Harrisonburg. Note that this cabin has one bedroom downstairs, and one bed upstairs in the loft area accessible by ship ladder style steps. The loft is a sleeping area but does not have it’s own door.

The Roost in Lower Rawley

Newly rebuilt, quaint cabin in the heart of Lower Rawley Springs, ten miles west of Harrisonburg, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. This lovely cabin is a short walk to the hiking trails of The George Washington National Forest, within walking distance of Dry River and Gum Run Stream, and a quick drive to the college town of Harrisonburg. Little Cabin in the Woods is quiet and secluded!

Enjoy our rustic, cozy, historic log cabin in the woods on 21 acres with two streams and a little meadow. The logs, from the 1800's, were reconfigured 17 years ago combining a rich history with high speed internet and modern amenities. Sink into the luscious bed with totally organic sheets, mattress topper, and pillows. Take a walk on the original wagon train road down to a stream or bath your senses in the majestic view of Jump Mountain from the meadow.
