Te Ara Cottage Tranquil Retreat

Beautiful charming cottage with fantastic view. The cottage has a queen bed, a sitting room, shower, bath and toilet with own deck. Not self-contained but has gas burners, bbq set outside on the deck and microwave, mini fridge, kettle and toaster inside. Tea/Plunger coffee are provided. There is a walking track below the cottage and also more walks around here. We are located in Diamond Harbour, 20min walk to jetty that you can catch a ferry to Lyttelton, only 10min ride, beautiful journey

Relax and unwind in our cozy fully furnished barn, on our tranquil 10 Acre property in Motukarara, the gateway to Banks Peninsula. The cottage was extensively refurbished in 2025 and offers a high standard of clean, beautifully presented self contained accommodation, with uninterrupted views of farm paddocks and rolling hills. Hang up a hammock, and enjoy the sun, or enjoy a scenic walk. Enjoy breakfast on the front deck, and drinks on the patio in the private garden to watch the sunset!

This lovely character home has two double rooms, one king, one queen, and has the option of a sleepout which can host up to six more people on a combination of bunks and a pull out couch. The sun soaked deck boasts a hot tub, and the barn has been remodeled in to the coolest private bar you have ever seen.
