A very nice place to be still permeated with the charm of the former family home it had once been. Original woodwork on the Verandas & the floors incl the furniture. A peaceful and tranquil inner court where very good Indian food is served. Staff is really very friendly & keen on taking care of everyrhing one might need. One is right in the center of Fort Kochi but enjoys the calm of a mansion in the countryside.

Manajaly Backwater Resort is a wonderful place to stay! It's VERY clean and quiet, and the view of the backwaters is stunning. Bird life abounds; so if, like me, you wish to be awakened by bird song, this is the place for you. Boat rides are easily available and provide glimpses of the wonderful scenery all around. There is an excellent taxi service available -- ask for either Nias or Ajmal. Both men are extremely knowledgeable about the area and will take good care of you. Praveen's assistant Chandra is a sweet, fantastic guy! He's very smart and efficient, and will provide you with everything you need. I had an excellent time. This is a place for people who want to get away from the crowds in Kochi and enjoy the flavor of local life. I wish Praveen every success! With all good wishes, Minakshi

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Eighth Bastion, and I must say, it was a splendid experience. The hotel and rooms are exquisitely decorated, exuding both charm and elegance. The location is ideal, being merely a 3-5 minute walk from the beach. Breakfast was a delight, with fresh fruits that I couldn't get enough of. I also recommend having dinner at the in-house restaurant. The staff were exceptionally friendly, competent, and always willing to assist. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a refined and enjoyable stay.

Our family totally enjoyed the stay, the place was beautiful and worth for the money. Just six minutes drive to airport which is great, Gopalakrishnan was very helpful and friendly and provided all the required information clearly. Excellent communication and friendly staff. I would always choose this place. Definitely recommend for others too

I cannot recommend staying at this little gem enough. Very close to the airport so if you’re thinking about staying somewhere to tackle your jet lag this place is definitely worth checking out! Very clean, comfy beds, big shower room, private and surrounded by a beautiful nature. The host is incredibly sweet and attentive. We had to extend our stay by one night due to my partners sickness and the host went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Wonderful place and a wonderful host. 5*
