Buttercup cottage lies right in the heart of Coln St Aldwyns; one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds. Peacefully situated just off, but within easy reach of, the main tourist trails it’s the ideal starting point to explore all that the Cotswolds have to offer from glorious walks, the network of quaint villages (Bibury, Eastleach) to trout farms and country pubs. Enjoy far-reaching views, from every bedroom, across a sweeping meadow to the river Coln and unspoiled countryside beyond.

Alice's Cottage, Fairford

The cottage was built in the 19 Century as a 2 up and 2 down and we have extended it with an internal bathroom on the ground floor. The rooms on the ground floor have electric underfloor heating and the living room also has a wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage is only a short walk from the High street and parking is free on the street outside the front door.

Drovers Cottage is a spacious terraced cottage with on street free parking. It has a log burner for cosy winter evenings and a garden well stocked with cottage garden favourites. The kitchen has French doors onto a secluded terrace surrounded by wild strawberries and ferns and steps up to a lawned area with borders and a flower bed. For evenings in, there is a smart TV. There is a good size desk in the kitchen. My home is not suitable for babies, infants or children.

We are a few minutes’ walk away from The Old Spotted Cow pub. The cottage is full of country character and the interiors reflect our love of travel. Due to the character features of the cottage, it is unsuitable for very young toddlers and those unsteady on their feet.
