Чем вы займетесь

During this hands-on class, you will be introduced to sourdough bread techniques and skills. First, you will be introduced to a sourdough starter and we will discuss how to keep one. We will mix a bread dough together so you can learn through texture, sight and your sense of time, helping you build a baker's intuition about bread. We will go over the science behind what is happening in a sourdough bread recipe. You will learn about shaping your bread for good oven spring. We will bake off a loaf of bread and when it is ready, there will be a tasting with the fresh loaf from the oven and several spreads and snacks. You will go home with a sourdough bread recipe, a dried sourdough starter you can use in your home, and a full tummy!

The class will be conducted in my home, also the location of my micro-bakery, in the Tangletown neighborhood of Minneapolis. It's close to several of the city's finest bakeries and parks.
