Чем вы займетесь
Experience the idyllic beauty of Bali and help us keep it that way. I will escort you to the rural village of Tangkas, where we will be welcomed by Pak Darmawan and his wife, Puspa. They will serve tea, coffee, and snacks sitting on the family bale as everyone introduces themselves and gets comfortable. Darmawan, with Puji translating, will brief us on the day’s activities. This includes a visit to Watu Klotok temple for a traditional Balinese ceremony, a short beach cleanup activity, and a visit to the village recycling center that Darmawan founded. Finally, we'll have a Balinese meal for lunch. Darmawan will also discuss the theme of this experience—how he and his village are working to Keep Bali Beautiful. We will discuss the Balinese Hindu idea of Tri Hita Karena, which is harmony with nature, harmony with the community, and harmony with the Gods. We will learn how the introduction of plastic and modernism has diverted from the path of Tri Hita Karena and has created a major pollution problem for Bali and Tangkas Village. Finally, Darmawan will introduce how his village has come together to return to harmony with nature by launching a waste management and recycling program.
Puji From Keep Bali Beautiful
Hi, my name is Darmawan from Tangkas Village in eastern Bali. My family have been farmers here for five generations. I combine working on my family farm with my job as an agricultural expert for the regional government. I am married and have two young children. About five years ago, with the help of Keep Bali Beautiful, I launched a recycling program to solve the problem of plastic pollution that was harming my village. I hope you will come and join us for a tour of my village, meet the leaders of the village and have lunch with my family.
Keep Bali Beautiful
The island of Bali is drowning in plastic pollution and it is killing our land, sea, and wildlife. Keep Bali Beautiful is a project of Ahimsa in Action—a US nonprofit organization that supports community projects primarily in Indonesia.
Это благотворительный проект, все средства от которого будут направлены в организацию Keep Bali Beautiful .

Где вы побываете
We’ll begin at Pak Darmawan’s house in Tangkas Village, Klungkung. Tangkas is a farming village and Darmawan’s family has worked the land here for many generations. From here, we will take a short drive to the beachfront temple of Watu Klotok for a traditional Balinese ceremony, and a quick beach cleanup activity. Afterwards, we will return to the village to visit the recycling center that Darmawan founded, and finally have lunch at his house.
