We will start with an introduction to the ranch and the animals, go over basic safety and any questions you may have.
First, we will get to know Buddy the pony and Lily the BLM burro (donkey), who were recently rescued. We will spend some time grooming them and learning basic horsemanship.
After meeting Buddy and Lily, we can visit with Bogie and Cherry, two miniature horses that love human attention. We can brush and visit with them, or take them for a walk around the property.
When guests are ready to move on to the big horses, we will go over safety and handling, then form a connection with a gentled mustang in the round pen....learning about body language and communication. We can also groom and get to know the other gentled mustangs...each of them have been out of the wild for different amounts of time and they have very unique personalities to experience. These special horses are trained for riding as well as participation in equine assisted therapy sessions.
We will conclude with Q&A and saying goodbye to the animals.
At certain times of the year, I will have a wild horse at the property for training. If that is the case, I can do a demonstration about how to gain a wild mustang's trust in a gentle way. If it is safe, adult guests may interact with the wild horse as well.
