Чем вы займетесь

Learn to live mindfully among towering treetops

During this intimate meditation journey, we will explore a new way of being—using our bodies, breath, and senses. We’ll start in my cozy Amsterdam apartment, conveniently located alongside a quiet canal in the city center. I will give a scientific perspective based on research of how meditation shapes and changes our brain. We will learn how to mindfully eat and walk, and I'll share easy mindfulness tips you can use in your daily life. We will then practice a simple but effective meditation based on the research of MBSR—Mind Based Stress Reduction. After the meditation, we will go across the street to the Hortus Botanicus, where we can practice our mindfulness in a setting of towering plants, trees, and treetop walkways. The greenhouse is one of the world’s oldest and it creates the feeling that you are walking through a tropical paradise. It boasts a warm climate all year round, perfect for rainy days and the cold winter. If weather permits, we can also enjoy the intimate outdoor gardens. We will end in the cozy cafe, where you can purchase organic coffee and snacks. You will be able to stay within the Hortus for as long as it is open.

I am a Vietnamese American, born to refugee parents who immigrated to the United States after the Vietnam War. After 10 years in data-driven marketing work in the US, including working at Google and co-founding an education startup, I traveled to the coast of Spain, where I became a certified mindfulness MBSR teacher. I now reside in Amsterdam and I continue to deepen my practice through 100-hour, 10-day Vipassana meditations. Meditation has saved my life and I’m passionate about sharing its potential.
