What is Mindfully Eating?
Mindfully Eating a tool to help transform your life and the way you interact with food.
Each workshop begins with an explanation of Mindfully Eating and what I hope you will take away from it. My aim is to help you:
- Build focus and concentration
-  Allow the mind to slow down
-  Help recharge both physical and mental energy
-  Provides a creative boost
-  And create a Trigger so that one can reach this state at any meal
During the Food Program, we will be tasting a spinach and arugula salad, a cauliflower and potato curry, white rice, naan bread, salt and lemon, rice pudding with mango and green tea.

We will be focusing on The First Five: Texture, mouthfeel, taste, savoriness, and the whole experience.

After a sip of water, we’ll work our way around the plate, bringing mindfulness to every dish. We’ll also be adding lemon and salt to our plates, to experience how those additions change how the dishes feel and taste.

You will be taking notes as we go about the visual, aromas, mouth experience, temperature and tasting areas of your individual palate. Did you taste bitter where no one else did? Are you sensitive to salt? This is you chance to learn how you react to food on a personal level.

Following our meal, there will be discussion and a sharing of notes, along with a Q & A session with Chef Ranjan.

Chef Ranjan Dey of New Delhi Restaurant likes to say that his passion is "to infect everyone with India". His talks focus on the topics of nutrition and healthy eating, historic dishes and recipes, culinary cultural travel adventures, eating "mindfully," corporate team building, and the planning of social events.

We will be at the legacy business and oldest Indian Restaurant in San Francisco, New Delhi Restaurant, 160 Ellis St - one block from Union Square. It is located in a 100 year old former hotel ballroom, built in 1914, and decorated like a Maharajah's private banquet room.
