  • Our first experience with Airbnb was very positive. Our Host support us in all questions and provide us there nice Nook. Many thanks to April and Ken. Because of the central and well-situated location we could reaching all locations in New Orleans with bike. The flat is very nice colored and furnished. We had good vacations there.

  • April and Ken's place was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Loved that it was a short walk to the French Quarter. Will definitely recommend staying here as an alternative to a hotel.

  • April and Ken let you be, they want you to have your vacation. My husband and I are "people" people.. lol We WANTED the interaction with Ken and April and we let them know that. You can have as little or as much contact with them as you want. I would say before you go get supplies or snacks.... check the cottage we went and picked up a few things that we didn't want to pack only to find they already had it! So we like previous guests left some things as well. The cottage was awesome, beautiful just like the pictures. We spent time in the pool which was very necessary when we there with the heat! The Magnolia tree in the backyard was so cool and huge gave us great shade. It's a beast to keep up with in the fall with all those leaves. I would love to see the beautiful white flowers next time we go! You are missing a great opportunity if you pass up this place. Wonderful people, Esplanade a great street, we felt very safe walking all the way to the French quarter, met some locals a few blocks down at the corner store who helped us out a lot with places to go see and where to stay away from. I forgot the name of the store ask Ken and April where we went they know. Have fun, feel safe, stay here. !!!

  • We had a great stay at this location. April and Ken were easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. The place is a good walking distance from the French quarter and very nicely furnished. Great tips for restaurants as well!

  • Whether it's your first time in the Big Easy or another visit, make sure you book this place for your stay. Great location, plus all the amenities you could ask for. April and Ken also provide a wonderful list of places to see and tips on getting around. I would definitely book this place again.

  • My wife & I had a great stay here, April & Ken are wonderful hosts! The place is exactly as described, and a short 15 min walk to the French Quarter. Clean & comfortable, recommended!

  • We were in a cottage behind the main house. It was fine. The bed is a bit to small for 2 big guys and the sofa is very uncomfortable. The WIFI didn't work constantly and the shower switched from warm to cold watwr immediately, which was pretty annoying. But overall a good place to stay. We had better appartments for less money during our trip through the US. But as I said, it's ok overall.

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • Great location and great accommodations. Really enjoyed our stay!

    Andrea2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • My 3 friends and I had a great stay at Mark's place! We visited NOLA for Mardi Gra and were pleasantly surprised with how walkable the house's location was to the center of the French Quarter while still being in a very residential area. The house was pleasantly clean, fully furnished and had everything we needed during our stay right down to the soap, towels and condiments in the refrigerator. The pull out couch could have been a little more comfortable, but we all had a good nights sleep nonetheless. We'd stay here again!

  • Lovely spot for a stay in New Orleans

    Jane2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great Location! Great Space ! Nice Friendly neighborhood! Would definitely stay again, Communication with owner was five star !

    Jeff2018-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Make sure to find out before arriving that all of the listing amenities are actually working. Our group had 4 people and Mark’s listing said there were two beds to sleep 4 people. However, when we arrived, the pull out couch was broken and it was not able to be fixed while we were in New Orleans. Therefore, 2 people in our group did not have a place to sleep and slept on the floor. Mark has been very unreasonable to deal with when trying to resolve this issue with a partial refund. The listing is priced for 4 places to sleep, so I only believe it is fair to receive a partial refund for the 2 people who had a very uncomfortable stay on the floor. Other than this issue, Mark’s place was clean and walkable to the French Quarter.

    Rachel2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay couldn't have been better as first timers in New Orleans. Mark and Truedell responded very promptly and gave us incredible recommendations around the area. The space itself is clean and beautiful, best of all, it was in a great location that allowed for us to explore what New Orleans had to offer. Would love to stay here again!

  • It was our first time in New Orleans. Mark's place worked out great. We explored the French Quarter with our 2 and 4 year olds.

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • Great room - clean and tidy and looks just like the picture online. The hosts were easy to get in touch with and gave a folder of tips and recommendations which was helpful.

    Ali2015-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy check in. The location is fantastic. quite neighborhood. Very clean room. Feels like your staying in your own home because the room is attached to the house but separated by a door so you never have to go into the main house.

    Sydney2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great room. Great host. Great location. Easy parking. Easy check in and check out. Can't beat the overall experience for the price. Would definitely book again.

  • This was my first time in NOLA and first time using airbnb, Erin's room was beautiful, comfortable, clean, and she clearly put a lot of effort into making it a nice place to stay. She communicated with us and answered any questions we had. The stocked mini-fridge and snacks were great, as were the toiletries. The fuzzy robes made it feel really luxurious. It was great having a TV with HBO too. If it had been a little warmer we would have sat outside on the patio, I loved the cat that sat outside there during the day, he/she was very sweet. The only negative things I could say are that the neighborhood didn't feel the safest (then again, it's a big city and all big cities are similar in that regard), and noise from the rest of the house does travel. The first night it was completely quiet, but the second was not. We had gone to bed early due to leaving the next day, but couldn't fall asleep until 12 AM. If you're a heavy sleeper or plan on staying out really late it probably won't be a problem for you. Still a great room, much better than any hotel at the same price.

    Robin2013-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The reviewers below are not exagerating; Erin's place is amazing! Beautiful, unique and well equiped. And Erin is absolutely lovely. Highly, highly recommended!

  • Erin was an amazing host! She greeted us upon arrival and gave us some tips for our stay in NOLA. She was available for questions and concerns. We had a great time and felt very safe and comfortable in her home. Highly recommended!

    Stephanie2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our first experience with Airbnb was great! Much better than a hotel! The room was cozy, sophisticated and the bed was really comfortable. The only issue we had was our dog hearing voices/noises but we turned the white noise machine and the fan on and she was fine, and we wouldn't have heard anything if it wasn't for her. The neighborhood is quiet as well.

    Megan2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time in this adorable historical cozy space. Everything was hotel-style clean, conveniently close to so many delicious places to eat and a quick ride to the touristy parts (French Quarter) and Magazine Street. We fell in love with New Orleans in just a couple days, our only complaint -- we couldn't stay longer!

  • We liked the studio being in a safe neighborhood close to public transportation. 4 blocks to the bus stop and 3 more to st charles street car. Street car takes a little longer but you get to see beautiful old houses. Walgreens is across the street from the street car. Riding the street car on St charles street, you can jump off at Trolley Stop Cafe, we ordered fried shrimp and oysters. Unbelievabley good. Rose was our favorite waitress. The studio was comfortable, clean and private. Matt is professional yet personable with a sense of humor. He made it clear to text him if we needed anything. One morning he texted to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. What hotel does that?! The next time we go to new Orleans, I hope Matt has an opening for us.

    Carol2016-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for an interview. The hosts were very kind and the studio is absolutely adorable! I felt very safe and would definitely recommend this place :)

  • If I could give Matthew and his Belfast studio 6 stars, I would ! We loved our time in NOLA made even better by staying in this lovely, clean space and great neighborhood that was convenient to all of our activities, yet quiet and peaceful outside of the crush of people and traffic in the French Quarter. The studio is very well appointed and spacious with a full kitchen, large shower with good water pressure, washer and dryer, closet, iron, hair dryer, parking space in driveway, literally everything you need . Matthew was phenomenal host giving info and help that made our trip easy and fun. We even used his bikes the last day for a great ride to brunch. If you have the opportunity to stay here, book it now... we are sure to coming back!!

    Kate2016-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was a wonderful host and the location was perfect for us! Only about a 5-10 min walk to the streetcars that took you right into the heart of the city! The studio was very clean, quaint and a perfect size for us! Would book again in a heartbeat!

    Christine2017-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough good things about this place! The location is great, convenient to everything! The studio is very spacious and comfy. It's very private and easy to access, will be back for sure!

    Kati2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew was very organized, answered all of our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed before we arrived. The apartment looks exactly as pictured and was perfect for two people. It was clean and incredibly comfortable (especially the bed)! The neighborhood felt very safe (it's right by the end of the St. Charles trolley line, which takes you straight through the gorgeous garden district and into the French Quarter) and the apartment is totally private, nestled in behind the main house. We had everything we needed and he even left a couple local beers in the fridge for us to enjoy when we arrived. He also had coffee and tea for the Keurig. We loved chatting with him and his girlfriend when we ran into them on our way back one afternoon. They gave us great suggestions for places to eat nearby. On top of all that, he gave us a ride to the airport when we left. If I ever make it back to New Orleans, I will absolutely stay here again!

    Kristin2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Truly felt like a home away from home. Matt's place is great, well decorated and very spacious! Really nice host, he included some snacks and local beer for us while we stayed at his place. • We were very pleased with the apartment! Beautifully set up with large open spaces, nice bathrooms with rain showers and a perfect location to visit New Orleans. We walked everywhere. Parking was a little challenging but if you are willing to pay for a lot it is fine.. we felt safe the whole time. Go to the Hilton's restaurant around there corner for 75cent oyster happy hour along with half priced drinks. Also, very easy arrival and departure with keyless code entry so no waiting to meet up with the host. We are very happy with our choice to stay in the Airbnb

    Marita2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great! It was only a 5-10 minute walk to stores and/or Bourbon Street. The place was big, it was perfect for our group of 8. The bathrooms were stocked with basic bathroom necessities. The kitchen was also nice. I wish it had more kitchen supplies. There was only one towel and no hot pads. We made a couple of meals and when we needed to do dishes we had to lay them on the counter to dry, there was no drying rack. Trying to make anything in the oven was slightly difficult because we had to use the towel as a hot pad. Brad was quick to respond to any questions I had and was able to help with anything we may needed. Overall great stay, just wish the kitchen had a few more items that would have made cooking and cleaning easier.

    Jennifer2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and spacious apartment. The beds were very comfortable and the balcony and sun room were great. Excellent location and within walking distance to transportation and Bourbon Street. Brad was very helpful and attentive. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

  • The place was beautiful. The pictures and specifications left me a little unsure, but after talking with the renter I found that this unit had two queen size beds, a pull out couch, and a bunk bed in one of the rooms with a queen. There was also an air mattress that we didn't use. Great location, great shower. Wish I had stayed longer and utilized the kitchen.

    Stephen2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent condo. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and more than enough room for a family of four with two teenagers. This condo suited us perfectly and had everything we needed, really appreciated the washer and dryer and having two bathrooms. Location of this condo is fabulous, We walked everywhere and always felt safe even at night. Bourbon St was a short walk away. Hosts were very accomodating and replied to emails almost immediately. I would stay here again if ever back in NOLA.

  • This lovely spot was the perfect location for easily enjoying the French Quarter while being somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle. We especially appreciated the patio each evening and liked having an upstairs to retreat when others in the group wanted to paint the town. We did not use the kitchen, but it appeared to be equipped with the basics. This delightful residence is the ideal local for savoring all The Big Easy has to offer.

  • The Gem was exactly what we were hoping it would be. Our experiences matched the photos and the listing to a T. The Gem is located in a courtyard and neighborhood swimming in character. While we had a short stay, we maximized our time by walking to fantastic meals and soaking in the architecture and culture. Next time I make it to New Orleans this will be the spot to stay.

    Justin2016-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • DeeDee was an awesome host. She answered all my questions quickly throughout our stay. The condo was beautiful and was located in the residential portion of Bourbon Street. It was located away from the party scene, but close enough to walk to. The listing looks exactly like the pictures posted. We had come for a bachelorette party and the space was large enough for our group. We had an issue with the bathroom upstairs, but overall the experience was great.

  • What a charming and perfect place for our first trip to NOLA! The location was near everything but in a lovely quiet space to unwind after the fun. Dee Dee was most responsive and really cared about our total experience.

  • An amazing and quite residential location on Bourbon street with only a 5-10 min walk to all that the Nightlife New Orleans has to offer. Also, really close to Frenchmen Street where many of the locals gather. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a cool place to hangout in the city with a buffer from all the craziness when you need it. Thank You, Barry

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
UPDATE SUMMER 2018: This summer we are making some additional updates to the house, including adding one additional queen bed (upstairs), remodeling three bathrooms, adding a new half bathroom downstairs, and doubling the size of the kitchen. New floor plans are already available online and photos will be updated by the end of September. ----- We have been working to renovate the house over the past several years, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combination. Unfortunately, the caretaker's cottage is no longer available for rent.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • Let me start by saying the house was absolutely gorgeous, exactly as you see in the pictures. Each room was decorated so beautifully. Kevin was so quick to respond to our requests, which were very few by the way. We were in town celebrating my daughters 21st birthday and upon arrival we found yummy cannolis and a bottle of champagne in the fridge for us, so thoughtful! The beds were so comfy, the backyard perfect for relaxing at night by the fire or sipping your morning coffee, the huge couch was roomy and so comfortable for walking tv. We also found lots of games, indoor and out, in the hall cabinet. We walked to several great bakeries/cafes for breakfast each morning, Bywater Bakery & Samsuta were our favorites. The Joint has amazing bbq and Pizza Delicious has New York style thin crust, both are located in the neighborhood and within walking distance and both are definitely worth trying! We will DEFINITELY be staying here again when we return to New Orleans!

  • We had a great time staying at Jeff's place! We had a party of 13 people staying together and did not feel crowded at all. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, including a great yard & fire pit. It was possible to walk to the French Quarter, but we ended up taking Ubers most of the time. The house is also just a few blocks from both The Joint and Elizabeth's, two amazing restaurants we had fantastic meals at. I would definitely recommend Jeff's place for any large parties traveling together.

  • Wow. This place was perfect for our 15 lady bachelorette destination weekend. From the moment you arrive, you're going to be impressed; and you might think that that feeling would subside after walking through the house 3 times with your mouth hanging open, but it won't--you will be impressed from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The house is stately, beautifully renovated with thoughtful decor, and has so many things to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed: the upstairs porch (yoga in the morning with local coffee made in the keep-15-people-easily-caffeinated Bunn coffee maker!); the firepit, grill and outdoor table (post-FQ s'mores, afternoon naps on the lawn, morning breakfasts in the sunshine); the formal dining room for our special last night feast; the hand soap (I'm not kidding, at least 4 girls have already purchased it online); the well equipped kitchen and bedrooms (real beds in beautiful rooms for everyone), and the abundance of bathrooms (I don't think I waited for a shower once all weekend). We also enjoyed the surround sound, easy temp control, and quietness of being just far enough from the quarter, but close enough to enjoy a walk along the river to the French Market (and streetcar stop). Jeff was very responsive to my questions before we arrived and provided great recommendations for the neighborhood--I'd say he went above and beyond to help make our stay feel special (I'll leave you to discover some of those surprises yourself--just delightful!). Jeff, and Kevin (the house manager) were also very accommodating in regards to check in and check out, which made my life so much easier (coordinating arrivals and departures for 15 people!). I can't wait to plan another trip, in part just to stay in this beautiful home again.

  • This is a great place for a group to stay and foray into the city at will. All the beds were comfortable the kitchen functional - and we even had a wine fridge with wine the last guest had left. We left a couple bottles for the next guest to, you know pay it forward! There is outside seating for dinners and a fire pit to chat around in the evening. Some of the family loved sitting on the balcony to catch the breeze and others enjoyed the TV room to wind down after a busy day in the city. Jeff, the host, checked in the day after we arrived and the day before we left just to make sure we had everything we needed. We had no problems at all but it was nice to know he was there if we needed him. While we spent most of our time outside of Bywater, A couple in our party had checked out the neighborhood and we found some really fun local places to walk to in the evening to unwind a bit, or grab a quick breakfast before we headed out. We had a lovely stay and all of us would be happy to stay here again!

    Deb2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for my sisters bachelorette party and the house was absolutely amazing! There were 11 of us girls and there was plenty of space - even an extra room! The place was clean and perfect for hosting a party. The hosts were very hospitable, they left a nice note with champagne, beer, and cake in the fridge when we checked in! Highly recommend this place!

  • Superb, fabulously stylish

    Robin2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic house located in a unique neighborhood. Out of the french Quarter and a few blocks from the Marigny, Jeff's home was just what we were looking for. Bacchanal wine and the Joint BBQ are a must. Thank you for accommodating our families.

    Paul2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect property!! Great for large groups and a quick Uber ride to the French quarter. Lots of great restaurants near by in the area. Well maintained and clean. We would love to stay again!

  • Staying here was fantastic! Even though this was a shared space I barely saw anyone. The bed was super comfortable. They provided towels and wash cloths. And there was a super handy booklet with all kinds of things to do and places to eat. The bikes were a bonus too!!!!

    Lexy2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew always helps me, and was welcoming. It was my first time to use Air BnB, but I had no problems. It was clean and nice location. The bike was so fun to go around NOLA. I would definitely recommend to spend your vacation there!

    Masashige2015-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Gold Room couldn't have been more perfect. Location and amenities were wonderful of course, but more interesting was the room itself. Every detail was thought-of, and the room itself was unbelievably pleasant. The Gold Room was a key factor in our amazing trip to New Orleans!

    Olivia2014-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay. It was affordable and within (longish) walking distance of a lot of major attractions, including the French Quarter and City Park. The guide Andrew left was very helpful. The Peach Parlor, is, indeed, not quite private, but sleeping there felt very private and my encounters with the housemate here were occasional and friendly. I got a lot for a really reasonable price. I only took a bike out once but that was also easy.

    Lauren2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew was kind and flexible. He kept my suitcase after the check-out. His guide book is very helpful. I had wonderful days in New Orleans because of it.

    Kaori2015-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • I literally stayed here for a night (slept there all of 3 hours - NoLa nightlife!) but incredibly cozy and easy to navigate. Andrew is an AirBnB pro! Instructions for everything - how to get into the house, set the temperature; the pamphlet on things to do in NoLa was perfect and chock-full of things off the touristy path (or on, depending on what you want) - also appreciated wise words on how to be a respectful neighbor. Beautiful, quiet, peaceful home - perfect place to lay my head. Didn't get to spend much time in the neighborhood but quiet and peaceful by what I experienced. Thank you!

    Sophie2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the guidebook so much. Found it very helpful for activities and food. We ended up walking to the French Quarter and Marigny during the day and taking an uber home at night for under $10 dollars. It was very convenient overall and I'm really happy we had the chance to stay there.

    Ellen2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Le Peach Parlor was an excellent space and perfect place for my partner and I to stay at. I was in New Orleans for a week and had a couple days that I wanted to venture off the beaten path and Le Peach Parlor was perfect. It is a cozy little room and it reminds me of a lovely tiny house room with everything you need in one space. Andrew provided house rules, perfect directions and wonderful places to stop at and enjoy in and around the neighborhood. We even used the bikes to ride to the French Quarter and breezing down Esplanade Avenue was a treat. We did a lot of walking around the neighborhood and loved seeing the colorful houses and friendly neighbors that welcomed us for the short stay. I was able to communicate with Andrew's friend Alicia when needed as well! We got to meet Alex and Vivian very briefly and they were super kind and the house smelled lovely with Alex's excellent cooking! We hope to be back! Thank you for a great stay!

  • Nick and Lindsay were very nice and welcoming. Their house was really cool and in a great location. The rooms were nice and clean and everything was perfect. Had a great experience in New Orleans. Thanks!

    Jake2016-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Both Nick and Lindsay were very friendly and welcoming to us into their home. Access to your room(s) is quick and easy after you enter the house and very private. Even if the two of you are sharing a room, having the empty bedroom on the other side of the bathroom is nice to spread out or rest. Know that it is a pleasant 15 min walk through the neighborhood to get to the French Quarter. The trade off is that you are closer to exploring Frenchman St... I cannot believe we have never ventured here in all our trips to NOLA. This was a favorite for us with jazz, street food and artists. We pretty much only slept here with full days walking the town and a short nap late afternoons. Nick and Lindsay were home on some of our passings to share in our outings and offer local advice to breakfasts and excursions. The room is comfortable, the bathroom neat and supplied, and the bedroom balconies offer the quiet morning sounds of the neighborhood. Much better than staying in a hotel. Thank you Nick and Lindsay for your hospitality.

  • Nick and Lindsay are the most amazing hosts you can expect! They made our stay in New Orleans unforgettable...they were so kind, nice, friendly that we did not want to leave!!! we'll be back for sure!!! I would recommend anyone going to new orleans to stay with them: best location and atmosphere ever!

    Elena2013-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nick & Lindsay are very welcoming, give great recommendations and have an awesome place in a fantastic neighbourhood in NOLA! When I go back to NOLA I'll definitely check their availability.

    Anders2013-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome hosts. We had atypical check-in and check-out times, and Nick & Lindsey were great about it. Would stay here again in a second! Walking distance to all of the best that New Orleans has to offer.

    Brett2014-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Lindsay are wonderful hosts and their home is very beautiful. Nick greeted my friend and I with King Cake and all the tips we needed to make the most of our trip. The location of their home is perfect. It's within 15 mins of everywhere you want to be in the French Quarter. The walk to bourbon street brings you through the prettiest neighborhoods where you see beautiful homes and pass all the amenities you need. Also, Verti Marte (best po' boys!) seemed to be on the way home every night as we headed back from the city center. I highly recommend a stay at Nick and Lindsay's!

    Michael2014-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was easily one of the coolest decorated homes I’ve ever been in, plus both Nick and Lindsay were super warm and welcoming and had a lot of good recommendations for places to go. The WiFi was really good and the location was perfect for walking around and exploring — we loved it and would absolutely recommend staying here!

This free standing casita, tucked away in a tropical garden, includes a small refrigerator with refreshments, jazz records, New Orleans literature, and a clawfoot tub. Off of Esplanade Avenue, it is halfway between the French Quarter and City Park.
The casita is located in the backyard of a side-gallery shotgun cottage. I have been renting it through Airbnb for two years but recently changed to my on profile. The main house was built as part of a series of shotguns developed by two brother from Cienfuegos, Cuba in the early 1860s. The casita is its own building, built in a modern design in 2010. You can come and go as you please through our lush side garden. Inside, there is a very comfortable queen sized bed and bathroom with a clawfoot tub. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer and there is a small refrigerator and kettle. We include some local snacks as part of your stay. We also have a record player with music from New Orleans and books from the region and my own nonprofit publishing organization, the Neighborhood Story Project, for you to enjoy while you are here.
This old Creole neighborhood, in the heart of downtown New Orleans, is in between the French Quarter and City Park. Just a block and a half off Esplanade Avenue, a beautiful boulevard canopied in live oak trees, it is also very close to Bayou Road, the first road in New Orleans! From the house, you can walk to this street, where there is a wonderful collection of shops, including the Pagoda Cafe with the best coffee in town and wonderful breakfast and lunch (located in an old Chinese laundry building), the King and Queen's Emporium (which sells handmade soaps in one of the city's first public market buildings), the CocoHut (New Orleans/Jamaican food), and Domino Sounds Record Shop, which has been featured in national publications as one of the best record stores in the country.
  • Great house, great AC (the best part) I would definitely use come back to relax again!!

    Ana2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This casita was exactly what my husband and I needed when we visited New Orleans for a long weekend. The casita was simple, comfortable and in a great location for us. We LOVED Treme - it was real, friendly, and close to downtown but not in the direct mix of tourists. We walked everywhere - having only needed a taxi to and from the airport. We logged many miles on our legs! We went to Pagoda Cafe twice at the suggestion of Rachel - we would highly recommend it. Would suggest this lovely tiny home to anyone visiting NOLA interested in having a real experience away from Bourbon Street.

    Caitlin2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Even though we never got to meet Rachel, her instructions for everything was clear and we were never left wanting. It's very hard not to repeat whatever tone else is saying because it's all true. It's farther away for some but worth the uber ride. We honestly wanted to live there once we had to leave, it was a great little casita! Thank you!

    Julia2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our three nights in the casita! The record player was such a great touch; I think we listened to every record by the time we left. The location worked well for us. During the day, if it wasn't too hot, we enjoyed a walk to the French Quarter. We usually took a quick Lyft to get home at night. Rachel provided great snacks, beers in the fridge, books, recommendations, and everything else we could have wanted. Would definitely stay here again!

    Mabel2018-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was an amazing host. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Casita is lovely! It feels so nice to listen to the jazz vinyls available in the house :-)

    Carolina2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Rachel's casita! Everything was very clean and as expected. The room was stocked with great New Orlean snacks and records. Rachel provided a thorough guidebook to the city that was very helpful and pointed us in a great direction! The casita is about a mile from Bourbon St. and a very quick Lyft ride away! I highly recommend staying at Rachel's!

    Megan2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Rachel's place. The place was small but had everything you need for the stay -- very spacious bathroom, washer and dryer, etc. It was very quiet, peaceful, and close to the French Quarter. We used Lyft during our stay to get to French Quarter and was very convenient!

    Amy2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! It was quiet and clean and great for our trip. We took Uber's everywhere which never costed more than $6 to get around town. If you are looking for a cute little hidden gem... this is a perfect place!

A large upstairs suite with Private bathroom and sitting room, the room has a standard double bed as well as a small refrigerator among other amenities. A complimentary Breakfast including fresh brewed coffee, cereal, toast and fruit is also available to guests, as is free use of our Bicycles. NOLA STR permit# 18STR-06203
This listing is for our #1 suite which is the largest bedroom and features a private en-suite, sitting room, and standard double bed. Nestled under the eaves upstairs at the front of the the house is our fully renovated guest suite, the space is somewhat quirky with it's sloping ceilings and the chimney making it's ascension through the polished red pine floor on its journey to the ceiling. The room is well lit, with light entering both from the restored double hung windows in the dormers and the strategically placed accent lighting. The en-suite bathroom, while compact, features everything you need and we promise you will love the rainfall showerhead! The attached sitting room has similarly been restored and is the perfect place to relax and read a book while you recover from your excursions into our fair city, the room also boasts a large closet where you can hang your clothes and keep your luggage out from underfoot if you choose to make an extended stay with us. Our house is a traditional double, Creole Cottage built in the mid 1800's before the Civil war and has been added to a number of times over the years. I was trained as an Architect, and have played trumpet since the age of eight and currently my trio plays at Tommy's Wine Bar every Saturday night. My son Avery and I are in the process of restoring the cottage to its original character. My Wife Liz helps run a Womens Clothing Boutique in the French Quarter (just a stones throw from Jackson Square) which she commutes to either on foot along the Oak lined Esplanade Ave. with it's 'Gone with the Wind' houses or by the use of her trusty old cruiser (This town is very Bike friendly). My Son Avery moved here from New Zealand a couple of years ago to assist with the renovations, and help run Airbnb. He's a bit of a computer geek and belongs to a local Steam Punk group. For those times you need a little down time, feel free to make use of our spacious (private) back yard, or find a spot on one of the chairs in our living room. Liz and I have traveled extensively (usually on a shoestring) and have friends in a number of countries, we're always happy to recount the tales of our adventures, or to listen to yours. It's a 20 minute walk (15 minute power walk!) to the French Quarter under those gorgeous 200 year old Oaks, surrounded by gorgeous 200 year old houses, on what used to be a streetcar line. We have four beautiful rescued cats. Miss Doris Day from the Bronx and a few locals, Brian Lion and Rocky Raccoon and Prince Harry. Our latest rescue is Sgt Pepper a Border Collie.
  • Rick and Liz were excellent and friendly hosts - Rick dropped us downtown on the first night and saved us a long walk, was always ready to give advice and chat, and arranged taxis when needed. Our accommodation was good, comfortable and functional, and we enjoyed staying in their home. We enjoyed his musical skills and a singsong. Brochures and information on New Orleans and Mardi Gras activities was most appreciated. Tea and breakfast facilities were good. The location of the house was good, and in walking distance of where we needed to go.

    Michael2016-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Although we only met Liz briefly, she was very welcoming, Rick is a wonderful host and we had a great time in New Orleans. Their home is beautiful and we would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Rick and Liz!!

    Jen2013-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Rick and Liz's. The room itself is quite large with a very comfy bed. Rick and Liz are great hosts, they make you feel at ease and are helpful. They put out a good spread for breakfast, even fresh baked scones one morning. I loved sitting in the backyard and enjoying their impressive selection of magazines. The neighbourhood felt safe and has some great restaurants and bars within walking distance. When you want to venture further afield, the bus is pretty much on your doorstep and seemed to go everywhere we wanted see. Overall a great place to stay and a great first Airbnb experience.

    Eleanor2013-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first time my girlfriend and I had been to New Orleans, and Rick and Liz were absolutely wonderful ambassadors. Their home is right off the architecturally stunning Esplanade corridor between Treme and the Seventh Ward. We stayed in the roomy unit #1, which featured a private bathroom, climate control, and a clean, comfortable bed. Also, the relaxing backyard patio was the perfect setting to split a bottle of wine to wind down our packed days before bed. The rental included our choice of complimentary road or cruiser bikes, which were such a huge addition to our trip - a 5 minute ride to the French Quarter, a 10-15 minute ride to City Park and St. Louis Cemetery, and an easy method to explore the neighborhood (including the great coffeshop five blocks away, Pagoda Cafe, per Rick's suggestion). We were close to so many attractions while enjoying a quiet getaway at night in a very cool residential neighborhood packed with New Orleans flair. As well, we both became quite fond of Doris the cat, who was none to shy about coming to visit (however Rick implied that they can make arrangements for those allergic). Both Rick and Liz were incredibly friendly, laid back, and accommodating in every way - we even got to enjoy hearing Rick's trumpet playing one night when we returned early and fascinating discussions with Liz on our last day. In short, we had a blast in NOLA - a trip that was both exciting and relaxing - and we would unquestionably love to stay with Rick, Liz, and Doris again.

  • Rick and Liz were perfect hosts, I loved staying with them. The house is just off beautiful Esplanade Ave, and they have a great oasis of a backyard as well, and a set of bikes that you can borrow to head down to the nearby French Quarter or up to City Park. I would love to return again someday if they'll have me.

  • Staying at the Creole Cottage was perfect! The room had plenty of space and was exactly what we needed for our weekend trip. It is within walking distance of the Quarter and a quick drive to other attractions. Rick was great and very welcoming. He gave us recommendations on places to check out and made sure we had everything we needed! I would definitely recommend staying here!

    Katherine2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Rick are great hosts and ever so helpful friendly people and went out of their way to care for me as their guest. Their BnB is great and will be even more so as they progress the renovations. It was ever so handy to be so close to the french quarter - I truly enjoyed my 9 day stay.

    Jill2012-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Rick and Liz’s was great! The location was convenient and we felt safe in our surroundings. Rick and Liz were easy going and friendly. We had everything we needed and made use of their bikes daily to explore the city. Would definitely stay again.

  • We had an amazing experience with Devon. The house is even more wonderful than the pictures show. Devon was a great host too; he really made us feel at home. Anything and everything we could of possibly needed was provided. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to New Orleans!

  • Devon was great! He was friendly and inviting, and helpful with suggestions on what to do in town. The house is a quick drive to the Quarter and downtown. I was impressed by how clean he keeps the space.

Why rent a room when you can rent a tiny house for your trip to New Orleans. This 650 sq ft home is just steps away from the French Quarter. Everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, streetcar, bikeshare, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. Private entrance through luscious garden. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Cleaning free is included in nightly rate so there are no extra hidden fees with this listing. (City License: 18STR-15360)
Our guesthouse is located in the rear of our property. Estimated to have been built in 1837 (the same date as the main house), this space has gone through a total transformation. A mix of modern and old New Orleans bundled into a small house. There are 8 sets of French doors, and 4 sets of casement windows, allowing for the space to be drenched in natural light. When the weather is nice and a cool breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than opening all the doors and windows so you can take in all the sounds the neighborhood has to offer. Downstairs is an open living room and kitchen area with a complete 4 piece kitchen suite (full sized fridge stocked with bottled water and a Keurig with coffee), and a moveable island. There is also a flat screen TV with DVR, HBO (so you don't have to worry about missing Game of Thrones), Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix and Prime are already logged in for you to use. A spiral staircase leads you upstairs where there is a king sized bed, walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams. Want to lounge outside? Hang out in the shared courtyard or if you prefer privacy there is a private patio behind the guesthouse. Parties over 2 persons will not be considered and will be turned away upon arrival. Parking is street parking which is unrestricted and free to all. Cleaning fee is included in the nightly rate so there is no extra hidden fees when staying with us. (City License: 18STR-15360)
The Treme is a wonderful and unique neighborhood unlike any other in the United States. St. Augustine Church is on the corner, which leads to many Jazz Funerals and Second Lines. The church also has an amazing Sunday Mass that is open to the public. As a younger nephew noted, "It's not really Sunday Mass, it's a concert!" Mardi Gras Indians regularly wander the neighborhood, as well as brass bands, musicians, and a pair of cowboys who are always walking their llamas, Shetland ponies, and goats. There is always something going on and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and talkative. You can learn just as much about New Orleans from the folks on the street in the Treme as you could with a tour guide charging you an arm and a leg to walk around the Quarter.
  • We loved our stay here! Charming home within walking distance of the French quarter's amazing food and music. Beautiful courtyard between the house and the guest unit. Bret is a terrific ambassador for his city and his neighborhood. Highly recommend.

    Erin2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay in Brad and Brett Airbnb house!!! The house is lovely and well decorated, it is perfectly clean. The house is well located, a few steps from french quarter. Royal and Bourbon streets are at 10 mins by walk. Brett and Brad are very nice hosts and won't hesitate to give you some advice to visit the city. It was the best Airbnb experience I have ever had and I will not hesitate to come back again in New Orleans.

    Cyril2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding stay! Conveniently located, beautifully restored guest house, and wonderful and attendant hosts! Would highly recommend.

    Rick2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Bret were phenomenal hosts! They were so great about communicating with me before our arrival, and during our stay. Our flight was delayed by a few hours, making our arrival pretty late, but they were both very accommodating. The guesthouse was the perfect place for us to stay during our time in New Orleans. It is literally steps from the French Quarter, and had everything that we needed right down to chilled water bottles and bug spray (Thank-you!). I am not at all surprised that it is booked solid through the middle of next year. The guesthouse is very tastefully decorated, the bed and futon are comfortable, and it was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring New Orleans and the surrounding areas. It was everything that I had hoped it would be, and more!! I highly recommend it!!

    Kim2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t get any better than Bret’s place! Amazing space, great location close to everything in the French Quarter, great hospitality.

  • Awesome Host and Great Location. We really enjoyed our stay here. Will be looking to stay here again next time we visit. Thanks Bret!

    Alexander2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • I honestly have nothing but praise for this wee gem just off the French Quarter! Brad was super helpful on text and we met Bret and he was an absolute sweetheart. The space is beautiful, just like the pictures. Only a short walk and you are hitting Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. I couldn't recommend it enough. Nice and quiet at night, comfortable beds, clean and plenty of supplies. They have it all! Thank you both.

    Marie2016-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place really close to the French Quarter. Nicely furnished with all the amenities you may need. Bret was really helpful with advice on places to go and how to have fun and stay safe in NOLA. It's close enough to the hustle of The French Quarter when you want it but situated in a relaxed neighborhood when you want to chill. Highly recommended

The Marigny is an eclectic and bohemian musicians and artists community just outside the French Quarter. This is a safe and walkable neighborhood with lots of unusual bars, thrift stores, music, dining, and coffee shops in the area that the locals enjoy. Also close to Frenchman Street which is the best street for enjoying the local jazz scene of New Orleans as well as St. Claude Ave which is an up and coming street with art galleries/bars and vaudeville/circus nexus of the city. New Orleans is a walkable city and we also have the Street Car service which runs from Canal Street to Uptown/Garden District from the Quarter.
The Marigny is an eclectic, safe and bohemian neighborhood within walking distance of the French Quarter. A lot of artists, musicians, and performers in town live in the area and help to maintain a charm that is uniquely New Orleans.
  • Nick and Lindsay made our first Airbnb experience an incredible one! Their home was as quirky, unique, and cool as our hosts were! We felt very comfortable and welcome right when we set foot in the door of their charming home. They were extremely accommodating and helpful, giving us everything from restaurant and activity recommendations, to a ride to and from the airport! We felt very safe and secure in their home, which was in a great neighborhood, easy to navigate, and just a short walk from Frenchman Street (my favorite!), the French Quarter, and all the bars and restaurants in the Marigny/Bywater area. We even got to see one of Nick's shows, which was highly entertaining and unforgettable! We had a fantastic time on our first trip to New Orleans, and Nick and Lindsay's hospitality and home were definitely a big part of that! Amazing hosts, amazing location, amazing trip!!

    Amanda2015-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and friendly hosts! Close walk to everything and cute bars nearby.

    Liana2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Lindsay were very welcoming! They were able to accommodate our arrival time and made it very easy to come and go. The location was great and we were able to walk to most places. The shower is not a typical shower so make sure to read their instructions first, but we were very happy with our stay and had a wonderful time in New Orleans!

  • Nick and Lindsay's place is very unique and located reasonably close to the French Quarters. We were given a code to enter the house which is very convenient, but we did not get a chance to meet our host. However, we would book it again.

    Rosalind2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Lindsay were wonderful hosts and very gracious. We felt very comfortable and felt like we had our privacy. I would recommend staying at their place when visiting New Orleans.

  • Great place to stay while in New Orleans. Very neat and clean. Was just like the description stated. Did not get a chance to meet the hosts, but the room was set up and ready when I arrived. Very easy check-in and out. Would stay there again when traveling back to New Orleans!

    Billy2014-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Underwhelming. The place isn't nearly as nice as the pictures represent. Pictures must be from 10years ago. They made a good attempt to clean but it's just too worn down from the linens to the furniture. The plumbing was terrible, the water drained so slow you had to shower in ankle high water. The positives are the location is pretty close to everything and accessible, especially with the bikes they lend you which are in good condition. They have a nice guide and they have a good system for the check in check out process.

    Rikum2015-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic experience! Andrew's detailed intrusions on how to get into the house could not have been easier to follow. The guide to the city was invaluable and we had the most lovely time! Thank you!

    Alyssa2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay, check in was easy, the design of the room is very cool. There's 2 bathrooms, laundry and a huge kitchen. It's more like an arty boutique hostel, love what they've done with the place and definitely recommend staying here for a unique New Orleans experience. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Andrew & Coco but Andrew kept in touch via text and the zine they made with suggestions of places to see / eat at was really helpful and awesome. Thanks for having us!

    Marissa2013-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Marie Antoinette room was as adorable as it looks online! It has a very large comfy bed, and was nice and air conditioned the entire stay. The Bywater is a great neighborhood to explore, and this house was a great home base for that. My Boyfriend and I did not interact with the owner, but we did run into a couple other guests, which was a fun aspect of the stay. This is a great place to stay, and we felt safe as well as close enough to everything we wanted to explore. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. P.S, if you stay here you have to walk to Elizabeth's for breakfast, it is amazing.

    Victoria2015-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at Andrew's place. Very nice and cosy and not far from the French quarters. We look forward to coming to to New Orleans!

    Jerome2014-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! We were very pleased with the location, the cleanliness and the ease of stay. Our bed was big and comfy with fresh towels and a handy zine and map that was thoughtful. Our favorite part was definitely access to the bikes! Andrew was responsive when I needed him. Would definitely stay again!

    Lauren2015-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • The room was a little tiny but very nice and clean. The house is very clairaudient and we were not so lucky with the other guests - so at night it was quite loud as other guests used the dryer over night or were not very considerate when coming home or using the bathroom. The bathroom was clean but could do some renovations. We felt safe to walk around (to the french quarter) during day but at night always used a cab. We did not meet Andrew but he was easy to contact via Airbnb and always helpful.

  • Leslie is quite accommodating and very personable. There were nice touches like fresh flowers and snacks.

  • Robert's house was a special unexpected treat. The guest space is one-half of a traditional double-shotgun New Orleans dwelling. Robert lives in the other half and is available to provide advice and recommendations on New Orleans restaurants and activities, and is quick to respond to anything you need while you are in residence. The house is furnished with antiques, interesting mementos from many generations of Robert's family tree, modern conveniences (TV, frig, air conditioning), and one of the most spacious and luxurious bathrooms imaginable -- complete with both a jacuzzi bathtub and enclosed shower. Robert also provides snacks and toiletries. I enjoyed the pleasure of sharing an adult beverage and a great wide-ranging conversation replete with hilarious (Website hidden by Airbnb) of his past. My only complaint was that I was only able to stay a short time, but I hope to return soon.

    Richard2012-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • New Orleans and Roberts place is a perfect place for a honeymoon! Ernie the housekeeper was so gracious..and he even washed our clothes when we needed! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Taylor2012-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Five stars is not enough to do this accommodation justice. Our stay at Roberts' was simply fabulous. The house, that lies in charming neighborhood Bywater with restaurants and coffeeshops, is even more beautiful than in the pictures. We could park right at the front door. When we arrived we were received by Ernie, who takes care of the house, who showed us around. The house had fresh flowers in every room and the fridges were filled with complementary beverages and snacks. On the night of our arrival, our host Robert took us out to a neighborhood restaurant to experience real N'awlins cuisine. It was a great experience: the food was lovely and Robert is very good company. He told us a lot about the history and culture of the city, very interesting. In the house you find all the information you need to enjoy New Orleans, think bus timetables, restaurant information and tour booklets, really handy. The house is so lavishly decorated that I felt like 17th century royalty sleeping in the giant canopy bed, very cool! The bathroom is very pretty with loads of candles and a bubble bath: the perfect setting to relax after a day of sightseeing in New Orleans. The bus-stop to the French quarter is very close. The downside is that is doesn't go that frequently (once every hour) and that the direct bus only goes until 6 pm. After that you have to change buses. Be sure to check the time tables to avoid long waits. Overall, we were overwhelmed by the warm welcome we received by Ernie and Robert. When we come back to New Orleans this is the place we will be staying and we warmly recommend it to others: you won't be disappointed!

  • I was skeptical of the highly flattering description of these lodgings, but they lived up to it in every way. Very spacious, charming and well-appointed digs with lots of amenities. Location is convenient to Bywater-Marigny locations and a very manageable walk to French Quarter. The housekeeper was very pleasant and helpful.

    Joe2014-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at this charming shot gun style apartment. All the reviews were spot on. Ernie was great. If I had to pick out something to be improved would be the lack of internet, but there is a coffee shop down the street and a wonderful restaurant that have free wifi. Highly recommend!

    Julie2012-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an amazing place and amazing people! Bar none, the best example of generosity and hospitably I have ever encountered. The residence was beautifully appointed and in a great area with many places in walking distance. I could easily see spending a weekend here and not even going to Bourbon St. Ernie was the most polite and helpful host and I cannot wait to return. Thanks for a great trip, guys!

One bedroom, ground level apartment in quiet City Park Triangle. Walk to City Park, Jazz Fest, and street car to French Quarter. Fenced yard with gazebo and fire pit. Short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping.
City Park Triangle is a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is very well located to provide easy access (1/2 block) to City Park (Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Morning Call) and just 0.4 miles to N. Carrolton Ave to restaurants, shopping and a stop for the Canal St. streetcar line to the French Quarter, Convention Center, WWII Museum and much, much more.
  • the place was exactly as pictured. it's in a quiet neighborhood and you have the whole space to yourself. Joan was very responsive to questions. also the bed was so comfy! I would stay here again if i was back in town.

  • Pictures just don’t do justice! Clean, peaceful and away from the downtown life. Wonderful host and promptly would answer if we needed anything. She even had water, candies, coffee and tea for us! We definitely will stay again in the future!

    Amanda2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Joan’s place was absolutely ideal, a gem of a place. Affordable and Joan was attentive and kind, I wanna come back! Thanks Joan!

  • This was an outstanding travel experience. Very roomy and comfortable. I was in NOLA for a week to see my daughter and help with my new grand baby. I felt very safe coming and going at different times of the day and was able to easily navigate around different parts of town from this location. I didn’t have the opportunity to appreciate much of the neighborhood sites but we did walk to breakfast one morning at one of Joan’s recommendations , the Wakin Bakin, and had some of the best grits ever! City Park is next door and the free outdoor sculpture garden at the Museum of Art is a must! I have already booked this getaway for a second time. Thank you Joan!

    Donna2018-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Words can't describe this apt. It's in a great safe location....close to streetcars and local resturants. Nice touches had water and pralines waiting for us along with coffee available. Joan was friendly and full of helpful local tips. The bed is super comfy and perfect to return to after a long day out. Loved our stay and will stay with Joan again if we ever find ourselves back in NOLA.

    Heather2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! The appartment has everything you need with an own kitchen, bath and bedroom. Joan gave us some good recommendations and was very helpful.

    Lucia2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Joan’s place was such a treat to stay at. Getting to her place off of IH-10 was so easy and being able to hop on the street car and take it straight to the fun was great. Joan was awesome as a host, stopping by as soon as we got in to explain everything and offer any help that we may need. She gave us the weekly newspaper with current events that we may want to see and recommended other attractions. The house is a bit away from the main attractions of NOLA but it was a 10 minute walk to the streetcar that takes you right down Canal St where you can hop on any other form of transportation that you want. Overall Joan’a place was a great stay. She was in the process of getting her back porch done and so we were unable to use the backyard but the workers were quiet and courteous as they worked and we never had an issue. I would stay here again!

Come be a guest in my lovely two-room suite, located in my historic Marigny cottage, three blocks from Frenchmen Street and a 15 minute walk to Jackson Square in the French Quarter!
Two rooms, with an arch in between, in my Marigny home: a bedroom with a Queen sized bed, and a sitting area with a daybed set up as a couch, but can sleep a third person (twin mattress. ) The space features hand-stencilled walls and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage furniture, art and books...and a vintage baby grand piano! There is a small chest of drawers and an Art Nouveau wardrobe in which to store your clothing and other items. Amenities include wireless internet, a mini-fridge, and a new 24" television with a Roku and cable. The bathroom is 'European Style', meaning it is shared with the rest of the house, which is just me. It is a short walk through two rooms to the bathroom, which is fitted with a claw-foot tub and a rain shower head. Guests also may use my washer and dryer and have access to an iron and ironing board. I am extremely scrupulous when it comes to linens; all sheets and towels are white and are bleached and put through the sanitizing cycle of my washer in between guests. There is a latch on the shared bathroom door for privacy, and one on the door which connects your suite to the rest of the house so you can lock yourself in.
Marigny is a wonderful, eclectic, artsy neighborhood and is the second oldest neighborhood in the city, the French Quarter being the oldest. My home is a 15 minute walk away from Jackson Square in the heart of the Quarter, and is three blocks from Frenchmen Street. Who Dat Cafe and Orange Couch are nearby coffee shops (two and three blocks away, respectively) and there are numerous dining and shopping choices nearby without even having to go to the Quarter, including a Co-Op grocery store and Walgreens.
  • beautiful home, really special look at true every day life in NOLA. exquisite taste, comfortable beds, front porch to watch the world go buy. wonderful host.

  • Words cannot accurately describe our stay in Merry's home or her generous hospitality. When planning my daughter's surprise birthday trip to NOLA, I was extremely hesitant to use Air B&B for the first time especially in a city we weren't familiar with. Connecting with Merry prior to our trip was so easy as she was super responsive to all of my enquiries and concerns on traveling with my teenage daughter. She made me feel at ease from the very first message. Merry's home is in the most perfect location for anyone wishing to visit New Orleans and the neighbors on her street were just as welcoming and kind as she. Safety being my number one concern, I was quickly relieved upon arrival to see this home in such a wonderful neighborhood where the residents all knew each other and stopped to chat with us while on their morning jog or walking their dogs. This location was undeniably the BEST for being just steps to all of the beautiful and eclectic areas of the French Quarter. Even though we did rent a car, we could have easily walked anywhere a "tourist" would want to see! When booking our flight and looking into hotels in the area, NONE matched the value of staying in a true New Orleans gem! Merry's home is the epitome of NOLA and the decor is absolutely stunning! Vacationing here made me feel like a true New Orleanian and I would recommend her home to anyone looking to visit this area!

  • Merry was honestly born to be an Airbnb hostess. Not only is her house unbelievably beautiful but Merry is one of the loveliest people I have ever met. My friend and I had such a wonderful stay at her home. If you're looking for the place to stay you have found it. I would come back in a heartbeat and can't recommend it enough.

  • Merry's place was wonderful. Great accommodations, great advice, great company. What more could you ask for? I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area!

  • Merry was a phenomenal host. She was so friendly and very attentive. It is easy to see that Merry goes above and beyond to make sure her guests have a wonderful experience. She really cares about the details. Her great eye for design makes for a super stylish place to stay in a location of New Orleans that can't be beat! I would highly recommend Merry as a superhost and would stay in her super cute property again the next time I am in town.

This is a "mother in law" apartment added to my house in the 60's. Its a separate residence from my house and although attached there is no access between the two dwellings. Minutes to the French Quarter, downtown, the lakefront, and Mid City. Sure, you can find cooler places in hipper neighborhoods but you will pay ALOT more. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
It's a small (400 sqft) mother in law that was added in the 60's. It cozy and has "charm" in its own way. The bathroom is a kitschy 60's yellow with black trim, and the kitchen boasts a vintage Anderson stove from the 50's. No doubt moved from the main house after the renovation, the stove is like an old Cadillac. It's huge! I have cooked on it a bunch and I actually want to restore it and put it back in the big house. Someday, but for now you can enjoy it. All the burners work, as well as the broiler and hot plate. I never did try and fire up the slow cooker. Currently the oven thermostat is malfunctioning so if your yearning to bake I'll hook you up with my oven. The apartment could use a real renovation as the kitchen cabinets and floors are old and dated but it's not going to happen for a while, hence the low price. It's clean, and we keep it nice, besides you didn't come all the way here to spend time in a house.
Gentilly is quiet suburb just 3 miles north of the French Quarter of traditionally working class families. The homes are larger, and spaced on larger lots than some of the older more historic neighborhoods. My house was built in the 1920's, on gentilly ridge. It's the highest point around, and was high ground for Katrina. We were an island during Katrina, Betsy, and Camille! Getting around is easy. We are centrally located with fast access to the quarter, Mid City, the Fairgrounds, City Park, and the lakefront. You can be almost anywhere in the city in under 10 minutes or less.
  • Terrific host, very knowledgeable and friendly, but the apartment was perfect for us, very private but accessible, clean and cozy!

    Meghan2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is awesome! The pictures are not getting justice to his lovely place. This place is a mixture of modern, antique and close to the nature kind of spot in a city area. It is well located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. You move around easily and you are not far to a lot of nice places. Plus, Joe has a very useful board with a map and his recommended "To go places". My husband and I came to spend the weekend in New Orléans without a specific agenda on how the weekend will go, but thanks to Joe's board we just picked on the list whatever activity we fell like doing and not once it was a wrong choice. Thanks again Joe for your precision, availability and your very unique touch on the decor and the comfort of your place. PS: the selection of places to eat...just close your eyes and pick one place on his list and it will be a good choice. That says it all!

    Joslyne2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Joe's place was clean and comfy! I appreciated the newer clean couch and the bed was awesome! Had a great time in New Orlean's!

    Dawn2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Joe's place was wonderful. Very spacious one bedroom apartment. The bed was super soft and comfy and there were charging stations on the nightstands. The living room was nice -- able to use the table as a workstation. The apartment had all the amenities that one could want during your stay -- wifi, nice sized kitchen, and a nice tv with lots of channels. I definitely enjoyed my stay and will look for it again if I'm down that way again. There were several bus stops within walking distance and it was close to an area with lots of stores. Joe was quick to respond, the kitchen bulletin board was a great touch (lots of menus/maps/suggestions of places to go), and it was easy to check in and out.

    Daphne2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome! Great space and conveniently located. The book of suggestions and map were so helpful.

    Brenda2018-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed my stay here. Flat was really well equipped and although a car would be handy, the bus was just round the corner and an easy trip into town. Was really nice to have a clean place to come home too after a long day sightseeing and I loved the retro touches in the flat!

    Liam2018-08-22T00:00:00Z

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon St. and Orleans Ave. across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center of the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.
  • This was an INCREDIBLE location! The thoughtful provided earplugs helped, but we would suggest this for only people ready to party on Bourbon St! We loved it. It was so clean and easy to access. A small thing but the hairdryer provided was high quality which was so nice. Thank you Andres!

    Miranda2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! Centrally located & walking distance to everything! But beware you will hear the sounds of bourbon street still going at 5am.. but no worries, they provide ear plugs for you to help out with that!

    Alicia2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Andres was super helpful and communicative, the space was extremely clean and comfortable and it was an excellent stay. If anything... I misread the checkout time and over stayed! I would highly recommend!

  • Great location.

    John2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great. It is much roomier in person that it appears in the photos. The location cannot be beat, the host was courteous and very communicative. Have an awesome time in a historic area with a great balcony!

    Hunter2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic!! Right in the heart of it, instructions were east to follow, every question i had they answered very quickly, the room was incredible, the balcony was so cool and everything was within walking distance, I will come back here again!! Andres was a great host and has a phenomenal place!!!

    Tj2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Andre's place is 5 stars pure and simple. Super clean, super affordable, best location, super spacious, and super comfy. Admittedly, the only things lacking are check-in instructions, and the parking pass which was lost by the prior guest. This place does feel like it made our trip more authentic and fun. A must stay for anyone traveling to bourbon st.

    Rafael2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a true gem in the heart of the French Quarter. If you’re looking for a convenient walk after a night out on Bourbon St. or even a quiet morning overlooking the traffic of the French Quarter - this home is perfect. The corner balcony is a huge plus, and communication was smooth and helpful between myself and Andres.

Half double conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood in the Gentilly area. Only 3 miles from the French Quarter, Superdome, and downtown New Orleans.
Newly built home (June 2016) with two private bedrooms and two private bathrooms. Outdoor deck and grill in back. With private driveway for off-street parking.
The neighborhood is very quiet and conveniently located only 2 miles from Bourbon Street, 3 miles from the Superdome, and centrally located to pretty much any other area of the city.
  • This house is fairly new and is absolutely gorgeous . It is in a great location from the French Quarter and Burbon St. The owner is very kinda and response back in a timely manner. Great place to stay if your looking for a friendly neighborhood and place close to everything.

    Kaelyn2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Donnell’s place was exactly as described and we loved it. It was sparkling clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lot of rain during our stay and ended up staying in more than anticipated but the house was wonderful to come back to after each drizzly day. The giant tub was a big plus, plenty of hot water and the towels were luxurious. Donnell was a great host! Great location and great deal, would definitely recommend and stay again!

    Jennifer2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Donnell was quick to respond. He was welcoming and the home was very inviting. He was also helpful in giving advice on places to go and things to see.

    Miranda2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Donnell’s “Home away from home” is just that. Donnell was so welcoming and the space was very comfortable. So much so that I slept in a little late past check-out the next day and Donnell was super cool about it...not sure another host would have been as nice! I truly enjoyed my stay. It was a short Uber away from the main spots- 10 minutes or less from French Quarter.

    Elena2018-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great space with chill Backyard area and close to bus

    Todd2018-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Donnell's place is everything and then some. Clean with great amenities and close enough to take a cheap car to most any of the nightlife and events. It feels like home- cooking and comfy beds make it a perfect stay. Donnell is an awesome host- don't miss the chance to meet him and swap stories. He's so hospitable and will give you all the best places to go. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars, we never expected such a great stay.

    Dominique2018-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • My expectations were definitely exceeded. The home was perfect and Donnell was an excellent host.

    Niyesia2018-07-22T00:00:00Z

"Guard Dog" Tonto the Wheaten Terrier lives in our apartment.
  • Jonathan was a great host- he was super easy to reach, willing to help, and very friendly. I was provided for in every way, and they had some really nice stylish touches to make us feel welcome, like some unique New Orleans snacks and such :) Also the bed we stayed on was probably on of the most magical beds I've stayed on in years. I slept like the dead every single night. You can control the AC from your room and there's desk space in the back if you have to get any work done. If there was any drawback at all, it's that the beams in the upper loft are a little low. They didn't bother me, but if you're exceptionally tall you might want to get the room downstairs. Parking was really easy, it's just right in front of the building. Everything was very stylish and Jonathan and Keely were very welcoming and sweet!

    Rachel2016-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! The loft is super cute and the perfect space for a quick visit to NOLA. The previous reviews were correct about the low beams but it didn't bother us. It's so close to canal st. And the French quarter. The whole foods is right around the corner. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

    Lindsay2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great loft and close to the French quarters. Jon was great and checked up on us to make sure everything was good. Free street parking was a plus!

  • Funky and cool, though a bit off the beaten path. Jonathan was very responsive and friendly, and made me feel extremely welcome.

    Angelo2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My host did make feel welcomed. It was nice and cozy space. I loved it was so close to the French Quarter. Best way to go around the city is by uber. Highly recommended.

    Jassiel2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Spencer2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jon and Keely were always quick to help and attentive to our needs, even while we were busy running around New Orleans. Also, the loft looked fabulous! I highly recommend if you are looking for a place that is quiet, but also reasonably close to the french quarter.

    Crystal2015-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Keely was so friendly and helpful when we got there. She showed us places to go enjoy music and food based on our preferences! The place was gorgeous and felt so homey, in fact we didn't want to leave! Some reviews mentioned not feeling safe at night but we never had an issue, it is a small street with a lot of houses and very close to public transportation! Would recommend it for those looking to have a get away.

Our Mid-City private unit is 1 block off Canal St and the street car, walking distance to City Park and several other amazing local neighborhood bars and restaurants. A 5-10 minute drive to downtown & FQ or walk a block to the streetcar stop Some notable amenities-Full kitchen, central air/heat, WiFi, LCD television & Cable, Washer/dryer, full bath. Living amenities: Queen bed, futon, linens, towels & washcloths, pots/pans & dishes and basic necessities like toilet paper and paper towels.
Completely renovated half of a "shotgun double" (essentially a duplex for those not familiar with New Orleans), about 650 sq/ft. Our home was built in the early part of the 20th century (c. 1906). Through our renovation, we took extensive measures to maintain the historic nature of our home and fuse with modern conveniences.
Mid City is a great part of town to spend your time in New Orleans because it's roughly a 10 minute drive to just about any tourist attraction you might enjoy (e.g. in the French Quarter, CBD or Uptown). It's a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, and also has some of the best places to eat and visit for entertainment in the city. There's always street parking in front of or near our house if you bring your car, which is safe to leave and there is no cost for parking.
  • Staying in Mid-City is super convenient for taking the streetcars and getting around in NOLA. The apartment is very nice and easy to get to. We really enjoyed our stay here.

  • Glenn and Claire's place was awesome! Just as described, super clean, super modern and up to date. 5 to 10 dollar Uber ride to the french quarter with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. On a quiet residential block that had a safe feel if you wanted to escape the noise. Would definately stay again!

    Ray2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Glenn was a fantastic host! His communication was excellent and the house was beautiful. He even came out to greet us upon arrival! My husband and I were visiting for our honeymoon and couldn't have had a better stay. We loved everything about house. The location was great also. We easily accessed the trolley to get down to the French Quarter and had plenty to walk to also (including some delicious pizza). If you want a nice, relaxing trip to New Orleans, this is a great place to stay!

    Deena2017-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Glenn's place was superb. Great location, awesome kitchen (we had a blast cooking fresh seafood), Glenn is very communicative and check-in and out was a breeze.

    Amy2018-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my wife visited NOLA and stayed at Glenn’s place for a week. It was in a prime location as it was only 20 mins away from the airport and a short 10 min Uber/Lyft ride to DT/French Qr. The place itself was perfect. Comfy bed and all the amenities to make it feel like home. Glen was super accommodating and made sure our stay so enjoyable. Would recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to visit.

    Blaine2018-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Glenn was a great host! This was our first stay at an air bnb, and we were not disappointed. The space was clean with all the needed amenities to make you feel comfortable. The location is great if you want to be away from all the hubbub of the city but still just a few blocks from city transit. Next time we visit the big easy we will be contacting Glenn :)

    Michele2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, although sparsely furnished. Would be helpful if directions on how to use the TV/cable system were provided.

    Jeffrey2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • I was greeted by Glenn at the door when I arrived. He showed me around the place, which was as I expected based on the pictures and description. He checked in a couple times during our stay to see if we needed anything. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. It was an easy walk to a few nearby bars and restaurants, while other attractions were only a short uber ride away. We also found the street car to be very convenient. The place was very clean, all appliances were in working order, and the bed and linens were clean and comfortable. We will definitely be staying here next time we visit and would recommend Glenn's place to others!

Located on the grand promenade of historic Treme, fully equipment: coffemaker, refri, micro, TV, Free wifi , 2 full beds ( 4 guestsl) 1 futon sofa bed, and kitchenette. 1.4 miles, 25min/walk to French quarter 5 min. Whole food market, Willie Maes Restaurant, and close to system of transportation.
There is room to park in front of 2636 Saint Ann, on the street next to the orange cone, (one side of a duplex house) or you could park cross street, if there is not much traffic.
The neighborhood is safe, but still is in process of recovering since hurricane Katrina ( 2005).
  • Fernando's place has both pros and cons. Of undeniable pros there are convenient location, roomy space, no problem with tap water, WC and other conveniences. On the cons side, the apartment is not quite clean (some surfaces, like inside of bathroom storage cabinet and TV shelf, are dusty). Which is worse, there are cockroaches in the place – of all size from tiny to inch-long, not plenty of them but even few are disgusting. Uncomfortable beds with thin synthetic sheets, the lack of chairs and table, non-functioning electric sockets on the upper level, insecure door lock are minor issues in comparison. Parking lot on the other side of the street was actually unavailable for guests – I was asked to move my car the first morning after arrival or be towed. Beside that, the area looks shabby but nice (with neighbours’ roosters to wake you in the morning), it’s 20 minutes on foot from the French Quarter, fifteen from tram stop on Canal street, ten from a Whole Foods Market.

  • Place was pretty clean except for some unexplained sand on floors. Air conditioner worked great. Very small space compared to what pics looked like. Towels smelled like chicken soup or mold or something. Became a family vacation joke. And it’s totally in the Ghetto. Around the corner from the Zulu pleasure club.

    Jill2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this place! It was perfect and Fernando was awesome. It was decorated really cute and I loved sitting on the front porch. I will be using this again next time I return!

    Sharon2016-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando's place was very clean, private and in a great location to walk down to the French Quarter. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the New Orleans area and would be more than happy to come back to the same place on my next trip

    Meg2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando and his place are both great. Fernando made check-in and communication easy. The place is perfect. It had everything we needed was clean and had an excellent porch for sitting. I would highly recommend and would love to stay again.

    Amy2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando's place was easy, accessible and seamless. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in New Orleans on a budget.

    Clayton2016-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable. Central, convenient location, close to all attractions, food, The French Quarter and City Park. Fernando will do everything possible to make you feel at home. This is a lucky find for us. Thank you Fernando!

    Mark2016-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando's place was great and was exactly as described. It was very clean and spacious and had everything we need as our temporary home away from home. The internet was fast which allowed us to check our mail and plan our day before stepping out. His place is very close to French Quarter and Business District. We were able to walk to the trolley stop in the morning to take it into town and the Uber back at night. His place is very close to Willie Mae's Scotch house (2 block walk) which has delicious fried chicken. I would definitely love to stay here again.

  • this is a fantastic spot within walking distance of the Quarter. Beautiful space and a friendly accomodating host!

    Michael2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect! Mark and Truedell are amazing hosts. Their place was totally adorable with the best NOLA vibe and great location! We even made friends with the neighbors, who were also wonderful! :)

    Rachael2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place was exactly how it looked in the photos. We didn't get a chance to meet Truedell but she was very welcoming and easy to reach - we went to the fried chicken festival at her recommendation and had a great time. The neighbors were friendly as well and we felt pretty safe walking through the neighborhood, even late at night. The cable car is a block away and allowed us to get away from the French Quarter to see other great areas in New Orleans. Thank you, for being great hosts and for accommodating a late checkout since our flight had an afternoon departure! We really appreciate your hospitality!

    Ashley2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights and absolutely loved the house! Blocks away from Everything you want to do! Truedell was super nice and a nice voice to hear when we got in to town. We met mark as we were checking out and he seemed like a great guy. The house has all of the amenities you need and feels like New Orleans! I would recommend staying with Mark

    Michael2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lives up to its name. What a great place close to pretty much anything we wanted.

    Christopher2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Mark's place and would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to be close to the action for the French Quarter, but not kept awake by the noise of it! Just a 15 minute walk to Bourbon and Frenchmen street, this was ideal for us. Mark was friendly and communicative, and the neighbours were lively and friendly.

    David2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish,Spacious,Clean and good location. Walking distance to famous street, unique and safe neighborhood. Easy check in and check out. Good for couples Only some cons - WiFi doesn’t work well - no towel hanger in the bathroom - you will hear the neighbor in the morning But overall I highly recommended to stay here

    Mimi Nisanat2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautiful and comfortable. It is very close to everything, yet off the beaten path. I love that it's located in historic Treme. However, I was there for web based work and the wifi was not working (but is listed as an amenity). Despite that, I would recommend and I would stay again.

  • Hollis was more than anyone could ask for in a host! He clearly loves his city, and know where all the hidden gems are. He works hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and the house is just wonderful in every way.

    Ryan 2016-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and very clean home! The bus stop was also located just a few feet from the house with a straight shot to the French Quarter

  • Great place

    Lilli2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • I only stayed one night, but loved this adorable house. It was perfectly located with the Frenchmen/Quarter just a quick ride away. I throughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.

    Kristina2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for pleasant experience. House was neat and clean and made my trip very comfortable.

    Ik2015-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had a nice stay with Hollis! We recommend taking the bus (footsteps from the house and 10 min to town) instead of Uber to get the full value of this rental, as cabs will raise your daily price to a rental that's more centrally located. Neighborhood is cute and 10 min bus ride from attractions, place is pretty clean, bedroom is small and centrally cooked, bed is ok, nice semi-equipped kitchen, bathroom shared with other guests, and host who knows everything about the city and can offer tours if you opt in.

    Emily2017-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot, just far enough out of the French quarter area but still only a quick uber ride. Really a nice and comfortable home with everything you need. If Hollis gives you a suggestion on where to eat/go he is probably right, he definitely knows the city.

    Chris2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Anyone who visits New Orleans should make it a point to stay at this beautiful home with this lovely spirited host. The place is amazing, very accommodating and clean. It is only a few minutes from the downtown area. The host well give you a delightful good morning everyday and be sure you are on your way to some of the most amazing places. This cute 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment truly feels like an oasis. Let it be your refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located in Treme on Bayou Road, near the famed French Quarter. Perfect for Jazz Fest and other events. Book today!
Our apartment is located in a historic home. You'll appreciate the beauty of the original floors and finishes. The furnishings are both comfortable and functional, while honoring the style of the home. We can comfortably accommodate two people, although a third person could definitely sleep on the couch.
You'll love the neighborhood. Tremé is a culturally rich area, full of gorgeous architecture and a deep musical tradition. It's an easy walk to the French Quarter and famed Congo Square. Also nearby is St. Louis Cemetary #1, resting place of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau.
  • My sister and I visited New Orleans to celebrate her upcoming wedding and the weekend was truly magical. And the success of the weekend was in large part to our most gracious hosts. Trudelle (Brandon's Step-mom) is the loveliest. She made us feel like family, she treated us so well and gave us a very personal view on the city. Showing us her favorite spots, introducing us to NOLA Cuisine and hidden gems. And the apartment is stunning, clean and spacious. It's great walking distance to the quarter and we were able to easily find our way around. I will absolutely be coming back for a visit! Thank you so much for making the trip so memorable for my sister and I- it was truly special!

    Kim2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was better than pictured/described. Brandon was a gracious and responsive host. A hotel room with similar amenities would cost $500+/ night. We will be back in the spring.

    Paul2014-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The home was beautiful- built in the late 1800s with beautiful ceilings and all of the charm you would expect. Brandon's family greeted us as he was traveling. They were wonderful. They gave us several suggestions for dining and activities. They left us toiletries and treats in our apartment. We truly enjoyed our stay.

    Kaitlin2015-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment within walking distance to the heart of New Orleans! We loved our stay here. It was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. When we walked in there was jazz music playing in the house, which was a homey and creative cultural touch. There were many recommendations for food and activities and the place is just so cute! Great host, would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

    Cindy2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Trudelle's and Brandon's was awesome! The house and the apartment is beautiful! The area of Treme is nice but I would recommend an Uber at night. The Bayou street is the oldest road in NOLA and the house is 15 minute walk from frenchmen street. The perfect place for live music nice food. I definitely recommend this place!

    Immo2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Caroline2014-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Simply put this place is awesome. Best AirBnB we've ever stayed in. Location is waking distance to Frenchman St for live music. Lots to choose from in terms of restaurants as well. Brandon's parents are amazing hosts. Very generous and helpful. Don't hesitate to book it!

    Jose2016-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough good things about this place. Trudell and Michel were awesome hosts from the moment we arrived, and told us everything we needed to know to enjoy our stay. Even without them, the place is about as authentic as it gets, and you're within walking distance of the French Quarter and Frenchmen St. This is going to be the first place I look every time I plan a trip back to New Orleans.

Victorian-style 100+ year old house on Frenchmen Street -- home of the best collection of jazz clubs in New Orleans -- and still only blocks from the French Quarter.
ROSE ROOM Frenchmen House is my home. I share it with my dog, Charles (a huge, cuddly golden retriever), Molly (king of the feline world), and my airbnb guests. I have three guest rooms. The house retains the architectural details that make New Orleans homes interesting and beautiful -- 13 ft. ceilings, transom windows, original wood floors, and double parlor with functioning pocket doors. Very few renovations have altered this original home, and its charm represents the homes of its era. The house is a side-hall shotgun, so unlike a traditional shotgun, one does not have to walk thru each room to get to the next. Great backyard for entertaining -- very private courtyard setting. Smoking is allowed in the backyard. PARKING: Easy on street parking, no meters, no time restrictions and always spaces available on my block.
I love that my neighborhood is just far enough away from the hubbub to be (relatively) quiet and actually be able to park a car, yet close enough to be in the midst of it all with a very short walk.
  • Joanne is adorable and her house is just beautiful and set with all the utilities you would ever dream of. There is a walmart right on the corner which makes it really easy to shop groceries etc...We completely felt like home ! I also want to highlight that the house is on frenchmen street, 5min away from all the excellent music clubs of new orleans which means that it is just super close to the place to be ! Pretty cool to be so close to the place you're probably going to spend your nights at. Also it's not far from the french quarter and we walked all the time, day and night, two young women, never had any trouble.

    Manon2014-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne is a very sweet woman, and a wonderful hostess! We were made very welcome, and the place was wonderful, just as beautiful as the pictures depicted. Joanne was very knowledgeable about the area and had great recommendations to pass on to us.

    Steven2016-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne's place is awesome! A beautiful old house in the perfect spot for exploring Frenchman street , the quarter and the Treme Joanne and her boyfriend are the best, super friendly , super nice and super helpful (The pets are super friendly too) Definitely stay here

    Tom2015-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne's house is in the heart of New Orleans. Its couple blocks away all the major sites. The room was nicely decorated, large, clean and king size bed was so comfy!

    Akvile2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic two night stay in the Rose room. Robert was super helpful and made himself available 24/7 for questions or concerns. The house is funky and beautiful, as well as clean, comfortable and well-situated on Frenchmen Street, a short walk from everything. Thanks so much for a memorable weekend.

    Dorothy2013-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne has a very lovely home and was an accommodating host. She had no problems with us checking in early or checking out late. Our flight was cancelled due to the weather, and she made no fuss about extending our stay. Location was great too - close enough to walk to all the cool music along Frenchmen street but not too close that we had to experience it when it was time to sleep. Thanks Joanne! - Audrey & Marty

    Audrey2014-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful house in a great location within easy walking distance of the French district but far enough away that it's nice and peaceful at night. The hostess is lovely and very helpful. Facilities are great. I definitely recommend staying here for a great experience in New Orleans!

    Alexandra2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • I am a native to New Orleans but now reside in Katy, Texas. I wanted to share the New Orleans spirit with my friends in Katy and decided against hotels just to have the feel of New Orleans, Robert was very friendly and welcoming, even after our late arrival. He showed us around and made everyone feel very comfortable. The place was very guest friendly and the rooms were really cute. He made sure we all felt welcome to make his place our place for our visit. I am also somewhat afraid of dogs but Robert's two dogs, George and Star were so adorable and well-behaved by the time we settled in that they became part of our stay while there. Also a plus is that we didnt have to travel far for anything as the place is within walking distance to the quarters. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Robert, would recommend for anyone visiting! Thanks Robert!

Come stay at our precious little gem in New Orleans! Our guesthouse is unique and reflects the culture and arts found throughout the city. Each room is very private with keyed access. The spacious interior is cozy and inviting. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home and enjoy all that this great city has to offer!
This is a private room in a cozy, artsy five bedroom house. There is a shared living room, spacious kitchen, and two shared bathrooms with showers at the rear of the house. The backyard is also accessible to guests.
Jeremy’s home is located in a historic New Orleans neighborhood in the perfect location for visitors. During festival season you'll be guaranteed to experience the culture of New Orleans at it's best. City park, Frenchmen Street and Bourbon Street are a short distance away.
  • Loved staying with Iris. Her place was beautiful. She is very nice and accommodating letting us drop our luggage off early, and we have a lot of luggage as we are traveling cross country. It's not a super high end air bnb but it is super comfortable and laid back.

    Victor 2016-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was cute and comfortable, kinda like a nicer version of a hostel. It's nice and small so it's relaxing and everyone is respectful of one another. It's close to Louis Armstrong park as well as a 6.70 Uber ride to anywhere in the fresh quarter and other areas nearby. I felt safe walking during the day and ubered around at night. Iris was very kind and answered all of my questions before my arrival. She also helped me to be able to stay in the same room both of my nights there when initially I had to book a separate room for each night. She was even able to reimburse me some money when we realized I was charged 20 more for the larger room that I was initially staying onI longer re run We're one being more expensive than the other

    Lisa2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • We felt at home! Thanks for having us and making it as easy as possible.

    Margot2017-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • You won't be disappointed in your stay here. Iris is lovely as the host. The house is quirky, quaint and delightful all at once. Take the time to chat to other travellers and check out Willie Mae's fried chicken a couple of blocks away. Only open 10am- 5pm though. It's $6 for the uber to canal st or French Quarter. Cool place. We had such a nice time.

  • Awesome place! Awesome rooms! Wonderful hosts! Practically perfect in every way! We loved to have breakfast in the cozy backyard!!

  • Jeremy's place was a vibe- super Instaworthy, clean and comfortable. It gave a great local touch to our NOLA trip. As far as location, it was not very central NOLA like the French Quarter but it's still pretty close and a short Uber ride away from all the attractions. We loved our stay and Jeremy was a great host.

    Zaria2018-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place and a cheap uber to the city

    Aidan2018-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy and his house in the Treme district of NoLa are an absolute gem. We felt immediately at home and comfortable in the space, easily one of the best places we have ever stayed. Extremely clean, spacious, and communal. The French Quarter and pretty much everything of interest was in walking distance; safe neighborhood too. It was so great getting to know Jeremy and learning about the unique culture of the area. Staying here truly turned our Hurricane Michael evacuation into a memorable vacation. Don’t hesitate, this is the place for you! Til next time :)

1 bedroom condo in the heart of the French Quarter. Just steps away from Bourbon St!! Walking distance to Canal st., Mercedes Benz Superdome, Harrah's Casino, Cafe' Du Monde, countless restaurants and more! The 1st bedroom is a private bedroom with 1 queen bed. The sofa is a sofa sleeper, there is a futon, and also an air mattress upon request. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
  • Definitely would come back! Great location!

  • Location, location, location......if you want to be in the middle of the action in NOLA then you cannot do better than this!! Perfectly situated the condo is in a secure building and has everything you need for your stay. The unit is clean, tidy and nicely furnished. Brittany is a great host - very accommodating and the on line guidebook provided was a great touch. If you are looking for a great place to stay in NOLA within walking distance to all the main attractions then this is perfect for you.

    Sarah2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! It was quiet, clean, and had a really cool aesthetic. Brittany was communicative and we had no problems. Would recommend!

  • Great location, nice condo right off of Bourbon, dont hear all the activities going on with it being so close to Bourbon.

    Cody2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brittany's condo was perfect for our trip. The location was perfect for walking anywhere in the French quarter but still you were not kept up by the noise. It had all the amenities you would need and was a perfect fit for 4 people.

    Caroline2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • I came here with three other girls and loved our experience! There was plenty of room for all of us. Two of us slept in the bed while the other two each had their own couch/futon. We loved the location to bourbon street and all of the other french quarter experiences. The place was far enough off of bourbon that we could sleep in quiet, and we felt very safe the entire time. Loved being able to use the pool too!

    Abby2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Super location for a fun visit to New Orleans and convenient parking option, though of course parking anywhere around will be expensive. Enjoyable space, easy, quick communication!

    Jeff2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the french quarter with basic accommodations. There is, however, no hospitality provided. No breakfast as advertised, no written instructions for apartment (i.e. wifi, pool hours), and a large sign at entrance to building stating "no short term rentals" with a threat to being kicked out if found out. This apartment must be run by a group who owns a ton of vacation rentals in the area.

WOW! My husband and I had the most wonderful stay here. I don't even know where to start....despite arriving at a ridiculously late hour thanks to a delayed cross-country flight, Robert's wonderful housekeeper Ernie was waiting for us with a smile. We'd seen the pictures and read all the rave reviews, but were still amazed at the gorgeous rooms, very cool antique furniture and astounding hospitality. And I'm not using the superlatives lightly.... fresh flowers in every room, wine, lots of cold water and drinks, snacks, fresh fruit, even a cheese platter (which my hubby really appreciated after our long trip), complimentary toiletries and necessities in case we'd forgotten anything, local maps, beautiful linens, very comfy beds, a fabulous spa-like bathroom, daily cleaning service, even laundry if you like....I could go on and on. Let's just say that Robert and Ernie have thought of everything to ensure that guests will have a truly wonderful stay. As wonderful as the accommodations were, the people were even better. We were visiting for a conference and never managed to cross paths with Robert in person, but every correspondence was gracious. Besides, how could we not like someone who'd left us in the very able care of Ernie - quite literally the nicest man you'll ever meet. It is clear that both Robert and Ernie take the famous southern hospitality seriously and very much enjoy being the gracious hosts that they are. As AirBnB hosts ourselves, we were especially impressed and feel like we've come home with great ideas for our future guests. Last but not least, we really enjoyed the Bywater location. The house is on a quiet street with several great cafes within blocks. It is just a short walk to two different bus lines, and about a 20 minute walk to Frenchmen street and the French Market. The neighborhood felt safe at all hours. We loved being close to everything, but outside of the tourist trap areas. As long as this place is available, we will never stay anywhere else in New Orleans and neither should you!

We had a great stay with Georgia. She was very responsive to our inquiries, and made us feel very welcome. After staying in the French Quarter on previous trips, it was a delight to branch out to the Marigny, which offered a true local "neighborhood" feel. The house itself was a delight and a bargain for the area. It slept 4 of us comfortably for 3 nights, and offered all of the amenities of a hotel, plus the bonus of having a kitchen to cook meals. Overall a great stay, and the next time we're in New Orleans, we'll be back!
