  • We had a wonderful time staying in April and Ken's beautiful listing. It was even better than the pictures made it look, which was already pretty great. The listing is well appointed with everything you need for a home away from home and in a great location, it was quiet and serene while remaining central to most things and with the bikes April and Ken offer it was only a 15 minute cycle to most tourist spots. The listing has its own access so we didn't interact much with the hosts but when we did they were friendly and helpful, as was their great list of places to eat! Go to Elizabeth's for the fried green tomatoes! All in all we had a great stay in NOLA and would definitely recommend April and Ken's listing.

  • We had a great stay at April and Ken's guesthouse. It is very well decorated and the kitchen appliances are beautiful! The location is close enough to walk to Frenchmen's Street or the French Quarter in about 20min. Esplanade Ave is lined with beautiful old homes so it's a pleasant walk, but we preferred to take cabs at night because there are some parts of the walk that seemed dangerous. April and Ken were great hosts; I'd recommend their place to anyone!

    Daphne2015-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • April and Ken were wonderful hosts. I would recommend (and have recommended) staying here during trips to New Orleans.

  • Wir haben ein E-Mail bekommen vom Gastgeber mit der Anweisung wie wir in das Apartment gelangen. Unseren Gastgeber haben wir später eher per Zufall getroffen.

  • Lovely apartment, great neighbourhood and only a short uber or 20 min walk into the French Quarter. We had a great stay! Thank you

    Nick2016-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the accommodations are as advertised. The guest house at the rear of the property is more than ideal for coming and going during your trip. Great location for walking to Frenchmen Street and parts of the French Quarter. Having bikes available was a big perk for us staying here as well. You can easily explore multiple parts of the city from Bywater to Audobon Park! We would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

    Adam2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! April and Ken were so sweet and left us great tips for places to see! The guest house was adorable! Very clean and super comfortable. There were 4 of us so between the bed upstairs and the pull out couch we were all able to sleep comfortably (as comfortably as possible with 2 beds) for 4 nights! Great kitchen as well, we cooked a few great meals. The location was perfect. 15 minute walk to the French Quarter or really anywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend it and hope to go back soon :)

    Allison2014-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful guest house. Comfortable, clean and stocked with small incidentals for cooking and bathing. Took one of their loaner bikes out one day to explore the French quarter. April and Ken thought of everything to make this a lovely place to be.

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house on the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iPod player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. We welcome special requests and will do anything we can to accommodate you. The room is ideal for one to two people, but we can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your child. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • We had the best time. The place was wonderful and absolutely beautiful. Both Erin and Greg were very gracious and accommodating. We will use them agsin. THANK YOU.

  • Perfect place for a quick get away trip to New Orleans. Clean, comfortable, quiet and very accommodating.

    Adam2017-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! Cute room, great bathroom. Easy to get to wherever you want to go, especially with Uber around. Would stay here again.

    Erin2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a great host! The house was easy to find with small driveway to the side to park our rental car (there are a lot of one way streets which our GPS navigated for us). Erin clearly explained how to access our private room down the side of the house and key was easily accessed in a lockbox. The room is lovely! Comfy double bed with very attractive bedding, small bar fridge, coffee machine and snacks and drinks (I love snacks, especially free snacks!) The ensuite bathroom was lovely too, had everything required for a visit like towels, body wash, soap etc. There was even an iPod Dock, a white noise machine and bathrobes. There is also a small tv with dish which had great movies on the entire time we were there! We had to do washing and Erin personally picked it up, washed and dried it and then left it folded on the bed which was lovely and unexpected! Erin also left helpful information about the room and the area. The streetcar is about two blocks away, a three minute walk and an easy ten minutes to Bourbon Street, they have daily passes for $3. The only issue we had was with the wifi, the signal was really weak and kept dropping out which was a bit annoying but other than that, had a brilliant stay and definitely recommend Erin as a host!

    Nicole2014-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was an excellent host who set up the room with real style. She left us with a 'survival handbook' that explained the local area, where best to eat and so on. The room was lovely and Erin was very approachable, always happy to help us out. I'd recommend this place to anybody who wants to visit New Orleans and escape the touristy craziness in the quarter.

    Katie2014-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place was incredible! The room is spacious and very clean. Her home is great, I enjoyed the authentic Nola feel it had. She was very helpful and responsive with any questions. Way better than staying at a hotel !

    Gabriella2014-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a most thoroughly satisfying experience staying at Erin's. The room was just as pictured. It was clean welcoming and quiet. There was coffee ready to make, soda, even cold beer in the mini frig. I never met Erin but her husband was available and friendly. I loved the quiet and the safe feel of the place. I will definitely recommend this to others and will return

    Susan2015-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Erin's place was perfect. It was the best Airbnb experience I've ever had. The room is in the back of the house. It is very private and exactly like photos. It is very beautiful and clean. It has a private bathroom. It has everything you need while you stay, bath robes, towels, shampoo and shower gel(the good ones you will use at home, not the crappy hotel ones), beverages in the mini fridge, snacks, and even some medicine you might need. I can say enough good things about this place. I will defiantly recommend this place.

  • The studio was exactly like the pics. Private and off to the side of the house. Quiet neighbor but within walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. Katherine and Michael both communicated well and kept us informed . Would stay here again next time I'm in NOLA

    Destiny2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Location: I don't think you can pick a better location. We rented a car at the airport which was less than 25 min away, and the French quarter was less than 11 min away. I swear every time we chose a place to go it was less than 10 minutes which told me that this was a great location to be in while visiting NOLA. I'm so glad we didn't stay in the French Quarter, because there is so much to see and do outside of the FQ. The house was situated in a very lovely and quiet neighborhood. No troubles whatsoever. Studio: It was perfect for our 10-day stay in NOLA. Not too big, but not too small either-- the high ceilings made you feel like you were in a big house. It had everything we would need while on our trip (washer/dryer, full kitchen, full bath, a/c, Netflix, wifi, free parking

  • Matthew is a great host with a very clean contemporary decor and warm inviting energy.

    Devin2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The unit is exactly like what the pictures depicted. Quiet neighbourhood with walking distance to streetcars and public transit, grocery stores, and a park. Matthew and his family were very hospitable hosts.

    Victor2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew was very organized, answered all of our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed before we arrived. The apartment looks exactly as pictured and was perfect for two people. It was clean and incredibly comfortable (especially the bed)! The neighborhood felt very safe (it's right by the end of the St. Charles trolley line, which takes you straight through the gorgeous garden district and into the French Quarter) and the apartment is totally private, nestled in behind the main house. We had everything we needed and he even left a couple local beers in the fridge for us to enjoy when we arrived. He also had coffee and tea for the Keurig. We loved chatting with him and his girlfriend when we ran into them on our way back one afternoon. They gave us great suggestions for places to eat nearby. On top of all that, he gave us a ride to the airport when we left. If I ever make it back to New Orleans, I will absolutely stay here again!

    Kristin2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • We haven't met Matthew since he wasn't in town during our stay. However, his friend was available for us if we had any issues, so was Matthew by email (he always replies quickly). We had a great stay at Matthew's place. The whole studio is brand new, spotless, almost everything is untouched (pots, plates, cutlery, thick and soft towels). There are new washing machine and dryer and Matthew provides soap (which is great). The only thing that could be changed is the mattress of the bed as it seems much older than the rest but it didn't stop us to sleep well. Last but not least, there was some beers in the fridge at our disposal as well as snacks to enjoy. And Matthew was so thoughtful to give us Nola breads ! That was so kind ! Thanks so much ! I highly recommend Matthew studio.

    Sophie2016-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was as beautiful as the pictures show! Matt was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. He left us a guide to all of the sight seeing spots along the Streetcar line (which we loved) and recommended some great eateries! We felt very safe and private in the space! That was our biggest concern with being in an area that we have no knowledge of. We couldn't have asked for more and we will definitely be staying again if ever back to NOLA!!

    Roseanna & Brittany2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Matt’s place was fantastic! My fiancé and I traveled to New Orleans for the first time during the Jazz Fest, our stay was nothing short of amazing. Matt and his family were very welcoming and the space was perfect for a couple. We would love to stay again in the future.

Located on the residential side of Bourbon St. you will enjoy the quietness at night and sleep like a baby and few steps all the action of Bourbon and the Marigny area. This mansion was built in the 1830s n was recently converted into Luxury condos.

  • Listing was as described. Clean and cozy. Perfect amount of space for 6 people, could sleep more though. Location was amazing, super close to Frenchman St and The French Quarter! We also easily walked back from the Jazz Fest. We had a couple meals outside in the patio and enjoyed the sunshine. We loved staying here.

  • Location was perfect & condo felt safe and cozy! Dee Dee was very accommodating once we arrived. Thanks so much!

    Melissa2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, wonderful and clean property. Thoughtful amenities (enough for every guest) and a complimentary bottle of champagne! Walking distance to Bourbon Street and an easy drive to all the sites. Parking was easy: on the street from 7p-7a and in a nearby lot all other times. The stairwell up to the kitchen and master bedroom is quite narrow and a smidge scary, but otherwise I have no complaints. This was so much better than I could’ve expected for my group of 6 (3 couples). I would definitely stay here again!

  • This condo is perfect for a group of 8 even 10. It is close to everything but do not expect to park here. Good thing for uber! We loved the location and cleanliness of this condo. The tiny spiral staircase was hard for some of us but we managed. Great patio space!!!

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
The house was recently renovated to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one king bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: one king bed - Bedroom 8: one queen bed There are two additional shared bathrooms upstairs: one with a clawfoot tub (with shower) and another tub/shower combo. For larger groups, we also have a separate 350-sq ft guest cottage that has a queen bed, full kitchen, and full bathroom (with clawfoot tub/shower). It is available upon request for an additional fee ($150 per night).
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • It was an incredibly beautiful large home that felt like "home" to all 15 of us! The rooms are great, cozy and comfortable. Getting in touch with Jeff and his house manager was a breeze and they were extremely hospitalable, it was a pleasure renting from them! Thank you!

    Randi2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff's place is in the heart of the Bywater and 9th Ward. Everything I expected and more. We had eight guys and everyone had plenty of personal space. The neighborhood is fantastic and as advertised if you are looking for authentic New Orelans without the aggravation of the Quarter this is a great place!

    Christopher2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing property . I had an industry convention and housed a large group. It was awesome local experience . We did a crawfish boil and welcomed some friends . Unbelievable property

  • This was a spectacular space for a weekend in New Orleans with friends. The house is massive and could easily accommodate 18 people. A highlight for us was the outdoor space which was a great place to spend a more relaxing night in.

    Timothy2018-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for my sisters bachelorette party and the house was absolutely amazing! There were 11 of us girls and there was plenty of space - even an extra room! The place was clean and perfect for hosting a party. The hosts were very hospitable, they left a nice note with champagne, beer, and cake in the fridge when we checked in! Highly recommend this place!

    Jeanna2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house. Beautifully styled with great attention to detail. Genuine residential neighbourhood - walking distance to the French Quarter. Loved our stay!

  • Jeff's place is fantastic! My friends and I flew in town for my wedding and stayed at the Mazant. The location is great (specifically it's proximity to The Joint (a fantastic local BBQ spot)), Jeff's communication and flexibility was amazing (he provided local tips on places to go well before our arrival) and was flexible with check-in since my rehearsal was at the same time, and the house was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend staying at The Mazant.

  • What a great house with great hosts. I loved this neighborhood. We took Uber’s into town and a couple of times we walked back along the riverside park. That was a great experience at dusk and seeing the NOLA skyline from a different perspective. Plenty to do in NOLA but we also found a few locals joints. I fell in love with Bywater. And this house is amazing!

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • Mark's place was beautiful and in a great location. Very charming and had local character. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. They were doing construction upstairs that started a little too early for my taste... but I am guessing that was a one time thing and won't happen again. This is a really great value... and I would recommend it. Also the bathroom is gorgeous.

  • The place was very nice and well appointed and the host was available if needed but otherwise respected our privacy.

  • Everything was perfect! The house is beautiful, and super convenient. The neighbors are friendly, it's easy to get to everything, but there's no craziness going on around at night. We loved our stay.

  • Mark was a very gracious host and dealing with him was extremely easy! His place is immaculately clean and exactly as pictured. The distance to the main attraction made us choose his place, but his place is beyond what we had expected!

  • Great spot, well-done interior & located walking distance to great New Orleans attracations.

    Han2017-10-12T00:00:00Z

  • Five star (Website hidden by Airbnb) We absolutely loved it here. The house is beautiful and the neighbourhood is awesome. It’s raw and genuine. We literally spent hours sitting on the front porch speaking with the locals. Close enough to the French quarter to easily walk in yet far enough to have peace and quiet. Perfect. High ceilings. Big bathroom. Comfy bed. Truly felt like we were in New Orleans 👌

  • Whitney was away while we were in New Orleans so we didn't meet, but she was extremely prompt and helpful leading up to the trip (we had to shuffle some things around due to a last minute flight cancellation). While in NOLA Dawn greeted us upon arrival and was super nice and welcoming! This studio, as many others have noted, is amazing! As far as the actual living space it was extremely neat and clean and really well furnished. It was really comfortable and the locked gate made it feel very safe. SInce I live in NYC I'm used to urban areas and a lot of walking. That said, I thought that this location was spot on perfect for easy access to the French Quarter, Treme, Mid-City, and even the Marigny and Bywater. It really did feel very centrally located. I would totally recommend staying here if you are going to be exploring New Orleans!

    Sara2014-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Slick landing in New Orleans. Convenient to the main tourist area including the awesome Frenchman St.

  • Fantastic stay in New Orleans at the NOLA studio - Whitney has done a wonderful job blending conveniences with some nice personal touches. Apartment was quiet and close to the french quarter - highly recommended!

  • We found the NOLA studio apartment to be clean, comfortable, and conveniently located for walking to the French Quarter.

    Missy2014-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Having lived in New Orleans for many years I know what to expect. This went well beyond. Convenient to the quarter, well equipped and comfortable. We loved it. Whitney was a wonderful host

    Harold2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • LOVED staying at Whitneys NOLA studio. Its just far enough away from the hubbub of the French Quarter to make it perfect. Right next to Armstrong Park. Can't say enough good things about the studio. Very stylishly decorated. Super cosy, clean. Great stereo with remote. Whitneys husband Tomas was a super cool dude. He gave me directions and recommendations thru out my stay. Secure and peaceful, I slept better there than I do at home! Thanks guys!!!

  • My girlfriend and I have an amazing time while in New Orleans. Belinda was a phenomenal host and made us really see what the city was all about. There is nothing negative I can say at all about the apartment as well. It came stocked with snacks, beer, water, etc. Thank you so much Belinda. Next time we are back we will definitely stay at Belindas place!

Come stay with us in a real New Orleans neighborhood and live like a local! The house is a "shotgun double" which is located in the safe, historic and artsy neighborhood only 1.5 miles from the French Quarter known as "Bywater." We are mere steps from the new Crescent Park River Walk that stretches from Mazant street to the edge of the French Quarter. A real scenic delight!
Be our guests in our charming mid-century home! You get a fully furnished side of our double shotgun house. There is also a huge plant covered front porch with a porch swing and bistro table to people watch. Inside is 800 square foot with two bedrooms with queen beds, comforters, pillows, and linens. This is a shotgun house, for those that aren't familiar, one room leads to another as you go to the rear of the house, with the rear bedroom being totally private. The house comes completely furnished with kitchenware, coffee-maker, coffee and tea, microwave, towels, shampoo/conditioner/bath soap, wi-fi, a record player with a light assortment of records, 2 alarm clocks with I-pod/mp3 docks, and a fold-out full sized futon.
In the neighborhood, we're next to Da Joint bbq, and 1-3 blocks from local bars; J&J's Sports Lounge, Vaughans, and BJ's. There is live music, art galleries, more bars, coffee shops and restaurants, all with a local feel within the bywater/marigny area leading to the French Quarter. We have a welcome basket located on the coffee table with fact sheets, maps, menus and other useful info to help you out through your stay. Press the guest book link at the top of our listing homepage for a map and descriptions of some of our local bars, shops and eateries.
  • My wife and I took a vacation to New Orleans with our 14 year son and our sons friend. Steve and Carmen were very friendly and helpful. The space was perfect for the four of us. We would definitely come back again!

    Paul2013-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Carmen did a great job of reaching, leaving clear instructions on how to get into the place, and also helped make accommodations so we could store our luggage after her required check out time. She was responsive and friendly. The place was well represented by the pictures- quirky and clean. The neighborhood has many hidden gems and is walking/Uber distance from the French Quarter. Will hope to be back.

    Pooja2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay with well equipped kitchen.

    Khoi2014-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as promised. It was clean, roomier than I thought it would be and very cute. Beds were comfy. Carmen and Steve were great hosts. There was water in the fridge and Zapp's in the cupboard! We didn't cook, but they had it stocked with spices, condiments and plenty of cookware, if we had been so inclined. The location was great--about 1 mile from French Quarter. We had bikes so we rode back and forth, including at 2 am after a big night out. If you stay here, don't miss The Joint, best bbq brisket ever, right around the corner.

  • We stayed at Bywater Treasure for a week and within 30 mins of arriving Carmen was there to check all was ok. Carmen made sure we were looked after and gave us a fab guide round the local area so that we felt at home. House fantastic and very authentic. Excellent area, quiet and very friendly locals. Shop and local bar just at the corner. We sampled the famous potato chips left out for us and there was plenty of drinking water and fresh towels. Lots of information available for visitors, we used the bus number 5 and 88 however I see there is a new addition of bikes now available which is a great idea. Sample the local music on Mondays and Thursdays it is worth it again round the corner. Carmen responded to any queries prior to the visit very promptly and kept us well informed. Can't recommend this place too highly was a great location and great local people........we did not want to go home......

    Fiona2014-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was our first visit to NOLA. The place was spot on location wise and was perfect for 6 of us which included kids. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans and the neighborhood was very charming.Steve and Carmen were perfect hosts-welcomed us and were not at all intrusive. Overall our first visit to NOLA was very great!

    Vaibhavi2014-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We found the Bywater Treasure to be excellent in every way. It was comfortable and well appointed. It was ideally located in an interesting neighbourhood including welcoming bars within spitting distance. We felt safe and welcomed. The Bywater has an interesting history as is evidenced in the houses/homes and public buildings. There was good if infrequent public transport connection from a stop nearby the Treasure and the French Quarter and also centre of NOL. In terms of music we gravitated to Frenchman St which was within walking distance. The music offered here was much more to our tastes than Bourbon St which proved one big tourist trap. I am sure that there are more good music areas in NOL but Bywater and Frenchmen St meet our needs. Carmen our host was very welcoming and helpful. We felt that we were quite at home in the Treasure and Bywater.

    Catherine2014-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great and as described. Carmen was extremely helpful and a lovely host. We really enjoyed the neighborhood There's a few great bars and restaurants within walking distance. No complaints. Would definitely stay there again.

*Please read description fully; this room is NOT 100% PRIVATE, it shares a door with the tenant of the home* Loft bed sleeping situated in a shotgun style room in a shared BNB. Located on historic "Esplanade Ridge" with Free Bikes and Full Kitchen
THE HOUSE OF SWEET DREAMS Hi, and welcome! I'm Andrew, Glad you found my listing! Here is a list of all the useful info about my house: **Pricing Fluctuates During Seasons/Holidays $35 is base price** (Website hidden by Airbnb) ***This is NOT a 100% PRIVATE room.*** ***This house is in typical New Orleans style; a "shotgun house" where some rooms share a door and walk through path to other parts of the home. This means you will have tenants of this house walking through the room during your stay. "Le Peach Parlor" is decorated as an environment for you to feel welcome and at home with a loft bed and small sitting area.In the bedroom, you can control your own heating / cooling. This listing is for a full sized loft bed with staircase, in the "living room" (a space used in this shotgun style home to commute between rooms). You have privacy curtains in the loft for sleeping late and being more comfortable. There is plenty of storage space in the loft for your belongings. ***Alex and 7 year old Daughter Vivian are the permanent tenants here. They live in the front of the home and with whom you share their home, including bathroom and kitchen as well as the other bnb room we have. When you book with us, you are agreeing to share your space with them :) I am totally flexible and available to accommodate any check-in or check-out times. However, for regularity sake I suggest: Check in after 3pm Check out before 11am Also note that you're welcome to check in anytime after 3pm but Alex sometimes works late and we can't guarantee the room will be clean until 5:30pm, but please come and make yourself at home :) take out the bikes, or lounge around, (if you're going to take a nap and/or you've checked in before the room has been cleaned, please message us to indicate when we can clean) thanks again and see you soon!
The house is in the Historic "Esplanade Ridge" Close to the "French Quarter/Bourbon St." Downtown and the Historic Marigny Neighborhood/ Frenchman Street. A quiet and safe neighborhood where we know all of our neighbors and everyone looks out for one another, with families and young entrepreneurs dotting the area with eclectic bars, eateries and shops. The house is just a few blocks away from the fairgrounds, coffee shops, several good restaurant, and a small grocery store. A couple more blocks and you are near The New Orleans Museum of Art and City Park! The Superdome is a 10 minute bike ride away and only 1 mile to the French Quarter down beautiful Esplanade Ave. Commonly sought after attractions within 2 miles of the house are: Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, Superdome, French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, City Park, DBA, Cafe du Monde, French Market, Spotted Cat, Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Maison, Apple Barrel, Coop's Place, Mardi Gras Zone, Mimi's in the Marigny, All Ways Lounge, and the Bywater, Marigny, 7th Ward, and Treme neighborhoods.
  • The street was nice and the neighbors were friendly. I felt very safe and it was always parking on the street available. I loved this room although you should know that there is no privacy in this room. It is smaller than the pictures and the only space you don't share is the loft bed where you can pull the curtains. The host is very nice and forthcoming. There is another person who lives here so be prepared to share the only restroom. Also your entrance is on the side of the house. At night it can be hard to get to your entrance but the exterior is well lit and the property is safe. Advice I have for those interested in this listing would be to make sure you have lots of outdoor activity planned. This room is great for those who plan to be active and just need the bed.

    DASLYN2015-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky, well-decorated room. It's on a quiet block and it was easy to find parking. I'd stay here again.

    Mel2016-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • My experience was generally really positive: -I had a really nice time staying in this place, I loved the bed, the kitchen and the bathroom! They're so special and everything is artistic. -the other guests were really friendly - the apartment was really really clean and most of all, my host (which was Coco's friend) was such a great person to share conversations with, helpful, interesting, a really splendid person! -I loved going around with the bike that they gave me and it was a really useful and authentic way to experience the city. -The list that Coco gave me with things to do in NOLA was really useful and well done! Thank you so much! But.. I'm traveling by myself, so there were also some negative aspects for me that i think is right to share (but if you're traveling with someone, you'll probably feel different) - it's really hard from the apt going around with public transportation, and if it's raining and you don't wanna ride the bike.. or if you just don't wanna ride the bike for some reasons, you definitively have to call a cab. -I felt kind of lost in the neighborhood, which is really nice in a block but could get really unsafe and scary so fastly.. Anyway I really think that this is just the way it is in New Orleans, and it was a new experience for me. - There was no living room, or a couch, or a comfortable chair in the room, just a so when you stay home to chill for a while, you just have the bed, which is a great bed anyway!) So.. I reccomend this place, and have fun!

  • Fantastic hosts! Excellent communication, beautiful room. These guys are pros and will make your New Orleans adventure amazing. The homemade booklet of suggestions they made for us had great ideas! Would stay here again with no hesitations.

    Anne2014-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Clean house, great value. Uber to French quarter is about $10 off surcharge time. The bikes are not great but they are free so no real complaints, just don't plan any long rides

    Natalie2015-07-12T00:00:00Z

    Frederik2015-07-26T00:00:00Z

Semi-private room* in a cute and cozy shotgun house in the Marigny. 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, 12 minutes to Frenchmen St., 2 minutes to the Bywater. Located around the corner from a few restaurants, bars, a coffee shop, and grocery store. *Note, this room is yours and yours alone, but people have to walk through it to get to their room.
The house is a classic shotgun, a very common style of architecture for homes here in New Orleans. Our bedroom is the first room in the house, and we rent the next three rooms to guests (see our profile for links to the other rooms). Each room is arranged one behind the other. You will be walking through two bedrooms to get to your room, and while you'll have your room to yourself, people will have to walk past your room to access the kitchen, other bedrooms, backyard, and bathroom. Both doorways have doors which you can close for more privacy. Please look through our photos to see the "blueprints" of our house, this will give you an idea to how it's laid out. Your room is the third room in the house. It comes furnished with a built in bed, curtain for privacy, XL twin mattress, reading lamp, a chair, vanity with a large mirror, clean sheets, fresh blankets, four pillows, a towel, and a white noise machine to cancel out house noises. The room accommodates one comfortably.
Our location is probably our greatest feature. Our house is centrally located in the Marigny. Frenchmen St. jazz and music clubs are only six blocks away, the French Quarter is a ten minute, nine-block walk away in one direction, and the Bywater (neighborhood) is just over the train tracks, two blocks in the other direction. We are one block from Mardi Gras Zone, a 24 hour organic grocery store (now with an alcohol license!), and three blocks from Hank's, a 24 hour convenience store (where you can stock up on alcohol and fried chicken). Flora's Coffee shop is two blocks away. There are eight bars (ranging from fancy cocktail bars to dive bars) within a three block radius.
  • As I have said in my other reviews, this home is in what I consider the best area to stay in New Orleans. This room works well. Katie and Matthijs are friendly, helpful hosts. The fact that I returned tells it all, about this place and about New Orleans!

    Lois2015-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • I arrived earlier than expected but was welcomed by Katie and Matthijs and able to leave my bags and get advice before going exploring. The house is a typical French Quarter long narrow one room wide construction and their approach has been to build mezzanine platforms for sleeping above the front room and the back room kitchen. I had the middle room which also has the toilet/bathroom in and so is very busy when there are other guests as well as the hosts. New Orleans is without doubt one of the USA's premier tourist spots and this accommodation is certainly cheap and accessible, especially for younger travellers.

    Allan2016-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • While this is a room with no privacy--(people have to walk through your space to get to the kitchen, etc and while the bed has a curtain, the weather was too warm to leave the curtain down)--the hosts made sure everything was comfortable, from providing ice water to an ice pack (it was VERY hot during my stay). The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and convivial. And the bed was comfortable. I recommend!

    Julie2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent! Great location, hosts and accommodations.

    Melanie2014-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Katie and Matthijs were both very warm and communicative upon arrival. After a quick tour we were able to relax and converse about ourselves and they provided excellent suggestions for New Orleans. Their space was accurate to description as well as clean and tidy. The home is of course older and so ceilings are high and walls thin, but that is honestly the neighborhood and New Orleans =) I would gladly return to stay with them especially because of the convenience and quick access to everything you could possibly need.

    Stephanie2015-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay with Katie and Matthias. Really cool house, fun neighborhood. Katie met me at our agreed upon time and I was extremely accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

    Ryan2014-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The room is under renovation but very cozy. At night it could get a bit chilly, but Katie provided me with a portable heater and extra blankets. I only stayed there for one night and didn't interact much with Katie & Matthijs, but they were very laid back and gave me good tips about the neighborhood.

    Ellie2014-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a great neighborhood. It's not far from Frenchmen and the Quarter, but even better it's just down the street from tons of cool stuff in the Marigny and Bywater. Katie and Matthijs were super helpful—they even tuned up a spare bike for me to use during my stay. And the shotgun layout was no problem, I brought earplugs just in case but didn't even need them. I'll definitely be recommending this spot to any friends headed to New Orleans!

  • Very spacious updated condo a few blocks to bourban street. It sleeps five comfortably.

  • Absolutely perfect listing! The place was better than pictured, open floor plan with tall ceilings and plenty of room for large groups/entertaining. Location was easy walking distance to everything, but on a quiet street which was nice. Great value for a beautiful apartment that is capable of entertaining large groups :)

  • The Loft was a great space for families. The beds were comfortable and clean. That showers were great. The washer dryer were really helpful for us. The location was close to the French Quarter and we were able to take a Lyft to other nearby locations such as Frenchmen Street. I would also highly recommend the oysters at Gallier Restaurant and Oyster Bar which is only two blocks away. They also had great deals during their happy hour.

  • Everything about our stay was amazing. From how easily reachable our hosts were to the most perfect location. A super walkable location ( you’ll need it for all the delicious food you will be eating ), easy access to everything and a pretty low key neighborhood. We had such a great time and we look forward to coming back!

  • Brad was very accommodating and even tried to quickly find us another unit for an additional night. This airbnb is very spacious. It does not feel crammed even with max capacity of 8 guests. Loved the extra details like soaps, makeup remover wipes and robes! Highly recommend

  • Great location and beautiful spacious condo. Loved the patio too!! Condo is only a block away from Daisy Duke's for late night eats and Brother's convenience store! Only a 6 minute walk to reach Canal street and Bourbon Street etc. Bring lots of comfy loose clothing and comfy shoes. This is a walking city!!! And for a swamp tour check out Airboat Adventures! We had an amazing time and our guide was Mike and he was great!!!

Your room is the fourth room in the house, next to the kitchen. It comes furnished with a full size bed, bright lamp for reading, Christmas lights, fresh sheets, clean blankets, pillows, and towels - and it's on a loft! To get up to the bed you will need to climb a ladder up 7 feet to the loft. The height in the loft is around 4 1/2 feet, meaning most people won’t be able to stand, but it’s still fairly easy to get around in for any able-bodied person. Below the loft is a hangout room, where you are more than welcome to hangout and stretch your legs all you want.
Our location is probably our greatest feature. Our house is centrally located in the Marigny. • Katie and Mattijs were both friendly. The loft was exactly as described and has plenty of privacy. Their house is a really short walk from great places to drink and listen to music.

  • I booked this room at the Airbnb site and it was 35 per night. But as I checked up the bill for two nights, it was 84. I knew it was because the fee for Airbnb but I think this should be shown before we actually decided to book the room. The location is not far away from French Quarter, which is pretty good. But the neighborhood doesn't appear to be nice. The roads are bumpy and untidy. This is my third Airbnbs( they are all about the same price) and the outer and inner part of the house was the worst one. (You will still get everything you need, so don't worry about that.) Despite of the facility, Katie and Matthijs were a nice and cool host. They treated me very well and provided useful information about NOLA. Katie even borrow me a bike so I can bike around the city, which is a wonderful experience for me:)) To sum up, although the facilities may not be so good, but I still get a taste of New Orleans. I did have a lot of fun here but make sure you think twice before you book the room if you are very conscious about the environment.

  • It was great experience in New Orleans thanks to Katie and Matt!! It was cozy and well-organized home!! It is also close from the French Quarter. I wanted to stay longer:) Thank you very much for ur kindness!!

  • This house was a wonderful find in New Orleans; it is on a good neighbourhood and within walking distance of the French Quarter. Both the features of the house and the affordable loft room were accurately described in the listing. I didn't get to meet Katie or Matthijs during my stay but Katie was very quick at responding to my messages and any questions I had. Katie and Matthijs also provided a very detailed list of restaurants and bars to try out while staying in New Orleans. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in New Orleans.

  • The best way to see New Orleans. You don't have to be in the French Quarters to get the love and fun that goes with NOLA! Katie and Matthijs offered a wonderful experience to the neighborhood by listing places to enjoy around the area. I loved getting up in morning and walking towards Flora for coffee and people watch. When Katie or Matthijs had some free time to chat, it was great getting to know the couple. Very chill environment and super clean. Now i already miss these guys, Mister and Huxley are great dogs with a great story behind them. Glad I booked my first stay with these guys because the locals thought I was one already. Check out the local businesses and walk around. Its great getaway from the hustle bustle of crazy crowds. I will for sure come again and book here again. Totally made new friends after leaving their place.

  • Katie and Matthij's place was great particularly being a solo traveler because you have the opportunity to meet anyone else staying at the same time and having a proper chat. There place is clean and welcoming and they are both extremely helpful and friendly hosts. It's a little out of the way but an easy 20min walk into the French quarter and about a 10-15min walk to the closest bus station. If you are looking for a place to live like a local in New Orleans this is a great place to stay.

  • Very friendly people that have a good hang of what is going on in town. Worth asking for recommendations if you have a deeper interest in the cities cultural/art scene. You won't be bathed in luxury but that is not what you came for to New Orleans anyway? Just make sure to read their detailed description of the place, not to be surprised you'll have to climb a ladder to your bed etc. Overall a perfect feel-at-home place.

Newly renovated, historic cottage with 1 full size bed, high ceilings, lots of plants and open floor plan. Walk or bike the one mile down Esplanade Ave. to Jazzfest, French Quarter, Marigny, Bourbon Street, and Frenchman St. Short distance from everything else. 8-10 mins from Garden District, University Areas, Uptown. Two blocks from beautiful Esplanade Avenue!
Come enjoy a clean, bright, centrally located traditional New Orleans style house. It's fully equipped with one bedroom. It can sleep up to three people if someone is willing to take the couch.Bike to the FQ (less than a mile) or the Marigny to party on Frenchmen St. The neighborhood is a historic residential neighborhood that was built shortly after the FQ. The apartment is entirely private but has a shared wall with the apartment next door so please be conscious of noise.
Centrally located, authentic, and eclectic New Orleans neighborhood in the heart of the city. Walk, bike, or Uber to the French Quarter, Marigny, Bayou St. John, City Park, and many bars and restaurants. Our block is friendly and full of character. Please read reviews to get a better idea.
  • The listing was exactly as described and in a really central location! Jan was really communicative and helpful and had lots of great suggestions for local spots to check out. It was our first time in New Orleans but definitely won't be our last! Thanks for an awesome stay!

  • Jo+Tyler's shotgun was perfect for our little New Orleans getaway. It's close enough to walk to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter (about a 15-minute walk), but far enough away from all the debauchery of the Quarter. You can also walk to the bus stop which is a block or two away. When it rained, we just took an Uber ($7-10 fare). Contrary to one of the negative reviews about the neighborhood, we had very pleasant experiences with the neighbors. We were greeted every time we stepped foot out the door, which is more than I can say for my neighbors in Los Angeles. You can safely walk down the street to the local bar or grab a bite to eat, day or night. The shotgun itself was cozy and had everything we needed. The record player added a nice touch. Jo+Tyler were also quick to respond to our inquiries. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Great comfortable place as others said was worried at first but definitely no need for that neighbours were amazing and friendly we either trammed or ubered all over it was great. Thanks Jo

  • Jo was a great host, easy to communicate with. The place was cute and clean. Walkable to the French quarter/Frenchman. We did take uber at night as was recommended.

  • Great communication with hosts and clean and beautiful home within walking distance to French Quarter and plenty of restaurants and bars.

  • Well positioned in the city. Has everything you would for a comfortable stay.

  • Everything was perfect. Thank you.

  • We had a great stay in Treme. The house was bright and clean. It's an easy 15 minute walk to Frenchmen street. Parking in front of the house is free and there was no trouble getting a spot. The neigborhood was safe. It's a short drive to Whole Foods. You can cook at the house if you want. We even did laundry. Hairdryer, clean towels and toilet products are available. Bring a sleeping mask if you don't want to wake up by the sun. The curtains are white. Jan is very good with communicating. We didn't meet her but check in and out were smooth. If you want to stay in a New Orleans stay here!

  • Great host and lovely place, would recommend.

    Gerardo2016-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis was a great host. His home is clean, well kept and absolutely beautiful. He had some great recommendations for food. He is about a $10 uber ride from the airport so very conveniently located. I would stay again if traveling in New Orleans.

    Marisa2016-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis was the best host we could ask for! He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable! He offered a ride to and from the airport for a good price, which allowed us to dodge the surcharges that Lyft and Uber would have during the busy Mardi Gras and NBA All Star weekend. He had a whole list of suggestions for restaurants, nightlife, sightseeing and more, beyond the usual tourist spots. His place is beautifully decorated and is located close enough for a quick ride to the French Quarter but is also the perfect location for a quiet night's sleep away from the crowds that you'll want at the end of the day. A comfortable bed, all the essentials (towels, toiletries), very clean place... You'll be very comfortable and happy with your stay and with Hollis' hospitality!

    Ellen2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We were only in for a quick stay, but Hollis's place was beautiful. Wish we had more time to spend there! Hollis was easy to communicate with, and the check in and out procedure went smoothly.

    Christina2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis is the best kind of host, one who respects your space but also wants you to have the best possible experience in his city and will go out of his way to make that happen. He offered to pick us up from the airport (for $30, a little under what Uber would cost) and when we asked him to stop for a sad late-night meal at McD's, he scoffed at the notion and instead took us to Melba's, a local favorite and our first of many great meals in NoLa. Same with breakfast the next day; he persuaded us to ditch our tourist trap option and sent us for some scrumptious eggs benedict. He takes pride in his beautiful home and keeps it spotless - he stopped by a couple times during our stay to clean. The place has tons of natural light, the room we stayed in had an attached bathroom, and the house is in a great location just a few mins drive from all the action on Frenchman St. We are grateful for the experience, hope to be back soon and to see him in NYC! -Hiten & Nadine

    Nadine2016-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautiful, Hollis is a wonderful host he gives you any and all information about the city and great places to eat. He allows access to the front room not just the bedroom. Beautiful and comfortable bed/bedding. The location is 10 mins from everything!

    Latrice 2016-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis was a great host. He was kind enough to stay up for us as we got in very late. We had a brief stay at his home, but it was very comfortable and we were able to rest easy. We appreciated the accommodations during a long cross-country road trip. You can also easily access the French Quarters from his house.

This free standing casita, tucked away in a tropical garden, includes a small refrigerator with refreshments, jazz records, New Orleans literature, and a clawfoot tub. Off of Esplanade Avenue, it is halfway between the French Quarter and City Park.
The casita is located in the backyard of a side-gallery shotgun cottage. I have been renting it through Airbnb for two years but recently changed to my on profile. The main house was built as part of a series of shotguns developed by two brother from Cienfuegos, Cuba in the early 1860s. The casita is its own building, built in a modern design in 2010. You can come and go as you please through our lush side garden. Inside, there is a very comfortable queen sized bed and bathroom with a clawfoot tub. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer and there is a small refrigerator and kettle. We include some local snacks as part of your stay. We also have a record player with music from New Orleans and books from the region and my own nonprofit publishing organization, the Neighborhood Story Project, for you to enjoy while you are here.
This old Creole neighborhood, in the heart of downtown New Orleans, is in between the French Quarter and City Park. Just a block and a half off Esplanade Avenue, a beautiful boulevard canopied in live oak trees, it is also very close to Bayou Road, the first road in New Orleans! From the house, you can walk to this street, where there is a wonderful collection of shops, including the Pagoda Cafe with the best coffee in town and wonderful breakfast and lunch (located in an old Chinese laundry building), the King and Queen's Emporium (which sells handmade soaps in one of the city's first public market buildings), the CocoHut (New Orleans/Jamaican food), and Domino Sounds Record Shop, which has been featured in national publications as one of the best record stores in the country.
  • Great place to be close to the French Quarter, but far enough out for a nice walk and an escape. The record player was an amazing touch.

  • Its a nice cozy QUIET hideout In plane sight! I had to show up a little bit before check-in so We took a walk around the block and saw a wedding, a birthday party, and a film being made! All around the same block! That was so cool. My favorite part was the tub and the record player. I would definitely stay again when coming back to New Orleans.

    Carlos 2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly what I needed! A private get away, tucked in a little paradise. I really did enjoy my stay and the air conditioning worked so well ( thank goodness!! ) I highly recommend this little casita, if you're looking for a quiet place to retreat between partying it up downtown and stuffing your face with Gumbo! <3

    Julianna2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The casita is absolutely adorable complemented by tasteful decorations, local drinks and snacks, and a comfortable bed. In addition, Rachel was extremely accommodating allowing me to drop out my bags early. If you’re visiting New Orleans, I highly recommend staying here.

    Kiel2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • You need to stay here. Rachel is super responsive and inviting. The casita is so cute and just has a welcoming vibe. You can walk everywhere but your not in just a tourist part of town. Love this place :)

    Yadira2016-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! It was quiet and clean and great for our trip. We took Uber's everywhere which never costed more than $6 to get around town. If you are looking for a cute little hidden gem... this is a perfect place!

    Julia2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Having been a host for a few years, as well as a guest many times, I think I can speak with some experience about the Airbnb concept. There were some good things about my stay at Rachel’s place. No, it wasn’t particularly close to any interesting neighborhood, but a little research would have revealed that. Still, it's New Orleans. She left a few micro-brews in the mini-fridge. Nice. Also, the place was fairly clean, and probably rehabbed somewhat recently. At least I thought so. (But then again, I am a guy, and have a man’s perspective on cleanliness.) But to not have any sort of closet, or ability to hang any article of clothing? How hard would that be? No dresser, no chair other than a straw straight-backed chair. And why no microwave? If you are a business man/woman, or utilize the internet for work, or need to learn about the area without using up your data on your smart phone, or, seriously, any of a hundred other reasons, you may be disappointed. Her internet connectivity is terrible. I tried with three different pieces of electronics, all up-to-date items, and none of them were able to connect for more than a few minutes. I had much work to do during my stay, but was able to get little done, because of this issue. (And I did I called about it.) If you need to have an internet connection at your Airbnb (unless she changes something), think carefully.

    Conway2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying in the Casita. Rachel was incredibly flexible with check-in and we felt very welcomed. The space has these nice high ceilings and is well decorated. The record player is a nice touch, for sure.

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • I enjoyed very much Jackson's quaint, quiet, quality apartment. I especially like that the bedroom is on the different floor. Jackson's apartment has complete separate entrance of its own, which gives total privacy. After visiting french quarter which seems like a party quarter, I enjoyed staying in this residential area, which is also not far away from french quarter, simply take street car into the city. An ideal accommodation which is quiet and convenient. If I go to New Orleans again, I would like to stay at Jackson's again!

    Peiwen2015-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay -- clean and comfortable. Good location for exploring the different neighborhoods in NOLA. Pearl the dog was easily the best part of our stay here. We were so sad we didn't get to say goodbye to her. We'll be back and we'll bring treats!

    Jen2015-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • My Girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay and Jackson and Jeff's renovated apartment. You couldn't ask for a better location with proximity to the St. Charles street car line and walking distance to Magazine Street. We were welcomed with bagels on the counter and tasty Abita Springs beer when we arrived. If I ever come back to New Orleans I'm definitely staying here again and would recommend anyone else to do the same! Thanks again, Jackson!

    Jon2013-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great 4 days spent here. Jackson greeted us and gave us the key. She even offered for us to leave our bags earlier if needed. The dog Pearl was beyond adorable ! I really liked how this was like a bed and breakfast - people were there as needed, but the space felt private. We loved the structure and really enjoyed the quirks like the spiral stairs, even got better at running up and down them through our stay. The chickens, the architecture, the close by street car and food spots near made for a delightful visit.

    Lynnea2016-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure staying here. It's nice and quiet yet accessible to all of the action with either a short bike, cab or trolley ride! The loft was clean and perfect for a couple to stay in. I loved having chickens in the back yard and having the outdoor balcony space for late night drinks or morning coffee! Very quaint !

    Lynnea2014-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We totally enjoyed our stay at Jackson's home. She thought of everything...local restaurant suggestions, maps, coffee, rain ponchos, etc. The apartment was immaculate and private. We enjoyed the deck off the bedroom for our early morning coffee. The architecture of the house has lots of New Orleans charm. High ceilings, bright colors, rod iron balcony and staircase, claw foot tub. An easy walk to St. Charles Street. Just a little further to Magazine Street Jackson responded quickly to any questions. Checking in was easy. This was our first experience using airbnb and it was delightful thanks to Jackson.

    Pamela2014-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience and I was not disappointed! Jackson was a lovely host who was quick to respond. My partner and I were mostly running around NOLA to fit everything in and didn't see Jackson a lot, but it was evident that she was there for anything we needed. And of course her lovely dog, Pearl! The apartment was lovely and having arrived straight from the Southern Hemisphere winter, the air con worked a treat! The apartment has everything you could need and more and was walking distance to a number of shops, restaurants, and bars. It's only a short ride on the streetcar or a cheap cab to the Quarter, or if you're ready to face the NOLA heat a leisurely walk will get you there. The flat rate cabs to and from the airport are also great! The neighbourhood was quiet, filled the beautiful history of the gallery mansions, and people were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again for a future trip!

    Ashlee2015-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jackson's place. The apartment had everything we needed and was in a location that was quick and easy to get everywhere in town. The location to cable car was superb. It definitely made our stay in New Orleans comfortable and memorable! Would highly recommend

This Guest House Studio Apt. is located just a couple block from famous "City Park" and close to music venues- jazz fest. Walk to stores, restaurants and free secure parking . All new, nicely done. The Studio is located on the back side of our property and is completely detached from our main house. Ideal place if your looking to be a little out of the downtown city area and desire City Park location, with free parking that is secure, a patio to enjoy a meal or smoke. Ideal for a couple or 3
The studio is good size for a couple, and has the option of a Murphy Pull down bed out of the closet , if you have a 3rd person. Please let us know if you are 3 people, so we leave linen for the Murphy bed and proper towels. There is a small kitchenette, with a fridge, microwave and small cook top. Utensils and plates are left for 3 people. If you are bringing more people and do a request, we also have our Mercedes RV parked in the back and it can accommodate 3 more people with it's own bathroom. The extra fee is 42 a nite for RV use. The outdoor bistro set is for 2 people. Bike rental is also available, and many food stores and local restaurants can be walked or biked too. We are a very pet friendly, we do required $ 10.00 per pup max 2 per booking this is charged after your departure as an extra fee.
  • I was surprised to find that there was a coffee pot and all the necessities for it already there. Also, the shower had a very good pressure and heat. The murphy bed was super comfortable. Definitely check if there is parking available if you drive, because I think that may change, but we were able to park inside of a gate which I appreciated for safety. Average uber to the city costs about $10-15. I did not like not having thermostat control because I am very finicky about temperature; however, they were very reasonable with what temperature to keep it.

  • We had a great time passing through NOLA, Brandon’s place was just what we needed and it was cozy as can be. We felt safe and secure in the private parking area. We had no problem with the hot water... we can assure you... it was hot! Highly recommend and we hope to stay here again in the future

  • What a nice staying in this place, it’s not just a room, it’s a HOUSE. You get private bath, kitchen and garage. I really enjoyed this place, I’ll back to it again.

  • Very cute studio! Great value and safe neighborhood. There was a bit of a smokey smell something to be aware of if you are sensitive to that. Host was very welcoming and accommodating!

    Alicia2018-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice home you have your own private entry and huge space to park which was super convenient for me because I have a pickup that I typically have a hard time finding parking for. Super clean and Leonor is the friendliest most accommodating host. However it was a little warm in there bc the AC unit/fan hits the bed and doesn’t really circulate.

    Catherine2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice convenient place to stay at with our dogs during our trip in New Orleans. The French Quarter and Bourbon street were both about a 10-15 min drive. It was a nice location for Uber pick up as all we had to do was walk out to the front of the house and meet them at the stop sign right in front. The space is nicely sized for 1-2 people. It was great to have our 2 large dogs with us as well. The yard is nicely sized and we can walk around the neighborhood with our dogs as well. Parking fits two sedans and there is additional parking in the grassy area across the way. The only issues that we had were: 1. The very strong smell of smoke that was in the house and everything in it. There were air fresheners placed in the vents that connected the room to the rest of the house, but it didn't help. Also, the smell was in all the towels, blankets and pillows. Due to the fact that we are not smokers and not used to the smell, we had headaches in the morning. 2. One of the doors were broken so we couldn't just leave our dogs to free roam in the yard so that they could do their business while we were getting ready.

Lovely apt with 14 foot ceilings and exposed plaster walls right in the middle of the French Qtr and the Garden Dist., walking distance attractions, and wonderful food and drink options within one block. Separate entrance and entire floor of 1850s brick townhouse. I own the home, and we live on the first floor of the building with our dogs. We're very thankful to you for staying with us, as your money goes back into the bldg by paying for its continuing restoration! [Listing #: 17STR-08176]
Old 1850s brick townhouse located on the edge of the Lower Garden District. The apartment is romantic, full of antiques, and has a super comfy king size bed. If you love food, you are within walking distance of some great restaurants located either uptown on Magazine Street or downtown in the Warehouse District / CBD. There is a lovely bar right next door, an awesome coffee shop right across the street and a microbrewery with half a block. You are just a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter as well. I own this house, live in the building, and do all the booking, communication and cleaning myself so I'm here to make your stay as great as possible with a a personal touch! Your stay funds the renovation of this building so thanks for considering this for your stay in New Orleans.
I love this neighborhood! It is right in the middle of city along the river, so a more low traffic spot, but with easy access to the more commercial and entertainment districts. It has its own lovely set of bars, coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants very close by though.
  • Lovely clean apartment, Lindsey was very responsive and helpful finding me great places to eat and making sure I had everything I needed. Her place has much more character than any hotel you could stay at!

  • I loved this place. Lindsey was very nice and I would definitely stay here again. The neighborhood is awesome and we were able to walk everywhere. I highly recommend it.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend. Lindsey, the host, was super communicative and very friendly. The place is quite unique, and I would say it will appeal more to those who like a "raw" space with old new orleans sensibilities. Great location, parking on street, and wifi worked well.

  • Lindsey was a thoughtful and communicative host throughout the booking process, as well as during my stay. Her place was absolutely gorgeous, comfortable and fully stocked. The house is located on Magazine street, and while it's not right in the thick of the stores & restaurants it's known for, it's still charming and walking distance to everything. Lindsey also provided us an amazing list of things to do/see (which I highly recommend you ask for) and also gave us the option of renting bikes to explore the neighborhood. I highly recommend this location and can't wait to visit again!

    Veronica2014-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Coffee shop conveniently located across the street. Easy walk to convention center.

    Peter2018-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great find. The location was perfect for me. It was out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, but within an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and plenty to do. The space was beautiful, clean, and everything I could ask for. Lindsey was very accommodating when I arrived in town earlier the expected, and had a late flight out. I would definitely stay here again.

    Adria2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey's place is beautiful! Lots of space, lovely windows, full kitchen, huge comfy bed. I would definitely stay again!

  • My girlfriend and I loved staying at Lindsey and Dave's charming place on Magazine St. We enjoyed it so much that by the time we left I no longer had a girlfriend but a fiancé! Thank you!!! :))

This cute 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment truly feels like an oasis. Let it be your refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located in Treme on Bayou Road, near the famed French Quarter. Perfect for Jazz Fest and other events. Book today!
Our apartment is located in a historic home. You'll appreciate the beauty of the original floors and finishes. The furnishings are both comfortable and functional, while honoring the style of the home. We can comfortably accommodate two people, although a third person could definitely sleep on the couch.
You'll love the neighborhood. Tremé is a culturally rich area, full of gorgeous architecture and a deep musical tradition. It's an easy walk to the French Quarter and famed Congo Square. Also nearby is St. Louis Cemetary #1, resting place of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau.
  • Let's start with the easy one first! We arrived to a complimentary cold bottle of Champagne and a local sandwich. Nothing better to welcome us. The accommodations were exactly as pictured and the home was immaculate. GREAT job Angie! A little further away from the Quarter than we had planned, but well worth the walk, viewing various homes along the way. We traveled by foot all weekend and walk in every direction to get the flavor of the community and surroundings. The entire neighborhood was welcoming and courteous. We can't say enough about our perfect time away, feeling like we were in OUR home within minutes of our arrival. Our flight out was late Sunday and Angie allowed us to leave our bags behind for the day (once we checked out) to come back around 5pm to retrieve. Certainly made us feel like family! Great place, great price, great service....nothing can compare to that. Thanks again Brandon, sorry we didn't get to meet in person.

  • I loved the property. We were in New Orleans for the Essence Festival and the location was perfect. 5 min from the Dome if that. Quiet and convenient. Tons of character with all the modern amenities. I didn't really need much but Brandon was very accommodating with an early check in. I will Definitely book here again!

    Aja2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is on the top level of a large historical home. It was decorated wonderfully and the bottle of champagne was very nice gift as well. My wife stayed here for two night and walked to the french quarter during the day. The walk is roughly 1 mile and during the day was quite comfortable. The street get quiet quick as you leave french quarter so we took a taxi when come back at night. Which is only a 10 dollar ride. The apt had all the amenities need and my wife loved the decor. Thanks Brandon.

    Lance2015-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon's place is beautiful and relaxingly lively!

  • My boyfriend and I came to Nola for Jazz Fest. Our stay was perfect! Brandon was an amazing host. He met us at 12:30 a.m. when our bus arrived and took us on a city tour. We had a few drinks, and he told us about some great local restaurants/bars to try (which were all delicious)! The apartment is spectacular, the pictures don't even do it justice. The location was perfect, walking distance to jazz Fest and the quarter. Brandon also installed a shower, so the apartment has all the amenities!! We plan to return to New Orleans and will definitely stay at Brandon's place!!!! Highly recommend!!!

    Abbey2014-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first airbnb experience. We loved our stay. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, clean and exactly as listed. Brandon was out of town but Trudell was there to greet us and make us feel welcome. Trudell was so sweet during our stay and was available to answer any questions we had, she even left our daughter a gift before we left. The location is close to everything and perfect if you have a car. I felt safe in the neighborhood and would book again if I traveled back to New Orleans.

    Jessica2015-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beautiful and the accommodations were very clean. It was great to experience and live in this classic New Orleans architecture. The check-in process was very easy and the level of privacy was great. The WiFi strength was weak and could be improved. Note that this is an apartment, which is one of several within the same house so there can be other guests around the premises and due to very thin walls they will likely be heard. Also, plan on arranging a ride to the French Quarter or other parts of New Orleans - the neighborhood did not have the safest feel after dark. Nevertheless, a great opportunity to experience an amazing house!

    Logan2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at his place was absolutely such an amazing experience. Not only were our host so amazing. They had information for us about the city and all the help we could need. Such a beautiful home. My friend and I agreed that the house was the prettiest house in the neighborhood. I was just in awe.

Amazing aprtment in a Historic Mansion located in Treme. This home is located wonderful neighborhood to have a real New Orleans experience. This home is full of history and culture. One bedroom, one sofa bed, a full kitchen and a wonderful balcony .
  • Truedell was an amazing host! Such a sweet lady! She gave us a lot of ideas for places to go! She's was so fun to chat with and very personable! Gave us the history of the home which was pretty cool! We really wished we stayed longer! I guess that's means we will have to come back! We left our car and used Uber, which was very cheap ($7) about a 5 min ride from the French Quarter. There was coffee in the kitchen and shampoo and soap was there if you forgot. Home is beautiful, loved hearing New Orleans Jazz playing as you walked in and made our trip unique!

    Rebecca2018-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend staying in Brandon's home. It was gorgeous, in a great neighborhood and a perfect base for exploring New Orleans. Brandon was quick to respond to my logistical questions and easy to coordinate with. Truedell was so kind and welcoming and offered many great recommendations for things to do in the area.

    Anika2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such an awesome place for our first trip to New Orleans! It really is close to everything and in a nice neighborhood!

    Alicia2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon and Truedell were very easy to contact and quick to respond. The location of the apartment was ideal for traveling to the French Quarter. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathtub but the rest of the house was very clean. It rained during our stay and Brandon provided us with an umbrella (thank goodness)! We were ask disappointed to find we didn't have access to the front deck (displayed on the main picture on listing) but Truedell was nice enough to allow us access to take some pictures on it on the last day of our stay.

    Katie2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic spot! 5 minute Uber ride from the French District and nice and quiet at night. Gorgeous house and the room was quite large. There were tons of recommendations on where to go nearby (restaurants, walking tours, nightlife). Couldn’t have been more perfect!

    Chloe2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great. Beautiful house, welcoming host, and easy access to the French Quarter. Highly recommend.

    Emily2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing stay we had! Myself, my hubby and my two children (7&9) were made to feel very at home in Brandon's place. Although he was away, Truedell took very good care of us. She was very quick to respond to any questions, and provided us with a tonne of useful information. We came with a vehicle, which we left parked on the road in front of the house for most of our visit. We walked to Jackson square in less than 30 minutes. The bus stop was a couple of blocks away as well. For those who have a hard time navigating stairs, heads up. It was a tall, steep flight up to our room. No issues for us, but might not be great for some. Another thing to consider, my kids slept on the pullout couch. Ok for them... definitely would not be great for adults. The bed was wonderful though! The house was spotless! Linens and towels were clean and soft!! Absolutely no complaints. Business stuff aside... I can't sing enough praise for Truedell, her family, and their hospitality. We were there over Father's Day weekend. She and her family invited us down to their backyard cookout. Made us feel like part of their family! After almost 3 weeks of being on the road and living out of suitcases, it was nice to have a home cooked meal and just relax with wonderful people! Can't wait to come back! Would recommend Brandon's Place to anyone! Thanks again for some wonderful memories!

    Marianne2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was absolutely amazing! Communication with Brandon was easy and efficient, and though he wasn't there to greet us, Trudell was amazing. She went above and beyond - so friendly and welcoming. We even were invited to her daughters grad party! The apartment is located inside a charming and gorgeous old home. the apartment itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable stay in New Orleans. We took ubers everywhere, but was very inexpensive and convienent. Thanks Trudell and Brandon for a great stay!

This lovely and historic cottage is located just steps from the French Quarter. Enjoy comfort and privacy in a classic New Orleans cottage. There are two bedrooms, and one bath. The cottage is cable and wifi equipped.
This is a true New Orleans cottage, charming and comfortable.
We are on a gorgeous street, very close to the French Quarter.
  • I had a lovely experience with Katherine. She was very accommodating to my early flight arrival, letting me leave my luggage at the cottage while I explored till check in. She was available to answer any questions I had during my stay. I loved her southern hospitality. The cottage was exactly like the pictures. I would recommend to anyone thinking about staying.

    Catherine2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Katharine's home was lovely and so conveniently located, with parking right out front. It was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated; certainly a reflection of the classy lady Kathy is! The air-conditioning made the place a delightful oasis in the epic NOLA heat, and Kathy had left bottled water in the fridge for us. She was also very quick to respond to any questions we had and provide many brochures and suggestions for things to do around town. We had a wonderful stay in New Orleans and I will definitely be back!

    Jaclyn2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience! Katharine was hospitable and ensured everything was set up perfect for our stay! Adorable little house and the BEST shower :)

    Lauren2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Similar to most guests who have stayed at Katharine ' s lovely cottage, we had a comfortable and great experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat- it's close by great restaurants (Lola's was superb) and is in a very charming, centralized area. We had our 11 month old son with us and the space accommodated a small child well. Thanks to our hostess for a great stay.

    Lauren2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough good things about Katharine. She is a beautiful person inside and out, a gracious host and extremely accommodating. Her home and personality embody what New Orleans is about; southern hospitality and charm. The home was clean, comfortable and ideally located near all of the main attractions; in a gorgeous historic neighborhood. Unless it isn't available at the time, I will be staying at one of her properties whenever I visit New Orleans.

    Kristen2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely experience staying at the cottage air bnb. We were delighted that she had prepared us for a great in New Orleans!

    Janki2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ms. Kathy's home was absolutely perfect and just as lovely as the pictures. It was clean and well-decorated, but incredibly comfortable and we felt right at home. Ms. Kathy greeted us late in the evening (late flight in) with a warm welcome (a hug!) and a cold bottle of white wine. She was a wonderful host and I only wish I could have stayed longer.

    Sophie2017-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • What more can I say about Katharine’s darling cottage. It was a superb experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable; the decorations were charming. The kitchen was fully stocked. As far as our hostess, her communication was a quick As her wit! The location was also great; not too far from the french quarter and yet just the right amount of distance to experience the true magical neighborhoods of NOLA. I recommend this charming abode to all!

3 easy and safe blocks from French Quarter and Bourbon St!
  • The place was quiet. The people at the front desk are very helpful. The place is cozy and really stylish.

  • I was expecting a unit in the middle of the French Quarter. This is a swanky part in a high rise bldg. no I’m not complying but upon booking this trip I wanted authentic NOLA experience. I figured I cld open my window and see patrons enjoying themselves but no it didn’t happen. The unit is wonderful Brent really has a great place. I just wanted to be I. The middle of the FQ and this location is not tht

    Raymel2017-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here to attend Sugar Bowl. I rented this unit primarily for its location. Was a little annoyed that checking in 2 hours early cost an additional $25, but was necessary for my party as we all flew in from out of town and needed to drop off bags. Was impressed with convenience to Superdome. It was a little bit of a hike to Bourbon Street but very doable. Aside from a place to sleep/ shower, we didn’t spend much time in the unit. My only major complaint is the sleeping arrangements and comfortability of sleeping arrangements; both the guest in my party that slept in the bed and the ones on the futons complained of uncomfortable beds and inadequate linens.

    Dylan2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you drive, park at the parking garage next door. The building is beautiful. The terrace (on the third floor) is inviting.

    Rosemary2018-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fabulous place to stay; great amenities, nice set up, secure, and close to the French Quarter and public transportation. Definitely recommend it!

    Kevin2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Good, The Bad & The Ugly I booked this Airbnb back in October last year with my friends for the purposes of attending Jazz Fest over late April – early May. We booked for a total of 11 nights. The Good: Brent, the host, is incredibly responsive. I needed to contact him on a couple of occasions and he got back to me in good time. Offered suggestions for places to eat locally is generally very amenable and happy to assist where he can. The ladies who work security at the front desk are also good, they are diligent and great to deal with. The room was clean with spare linen and towels so guest staying longer have the opportunity to change them over. The bad: The building you are staying in is NOT what is advertised, it’s not in the French Quarter and its most definitely not that building. The building is opposite a major hospital and consequently you have emergency services running through day and night. This is located in Central City about a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter. The room itself is sparse and carries the bare minimum; we had no glasses, just a couple of cheap beakers, no kettle for hot water and towels were small, old and stained with bleach. Sheets are polyester so you over heat in them. This place has been furnished as sparse and cheap as possible to illicit a return. There were lights out in the closet, the lamp in the bedroom and living area, which I contacted Brent to arrange to get fixed. Eventually someone came at 10pm the next night to fix the lamp but the closet wasn’t fixed until days later, and I know this only because I came home and found the light on, although we weren’t told someone was coming in to fix it. The bedroom has no light other than the lamp. There is a bed, which creaks and squeaks every time you move, add in that none of the windows open to allow for fresh air and a sickly sweet smell comes through from the vents (I assume to make the places smell better as there is no air flow) makes it an altogether uncomfortable experience. If you are heading to NOLA for a quick weekend break and don’t care where you put your head down or are planning to just pass out dead to the world, book away!! If you’re coming in for a longer period and actually require a bed that you can sleep in – look elsewhere!! The ugly: I really have no words for the ‘Art Installation’ in the entry foyer of the building!! This is of course out of the hosts control, but really…. WOW!!

    Nicola2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Brent’s place was perfect for us! It was walking distance to the French Quarter, Canal and Bourbon St. Communication with Brent was easy as well. Check-in and check-out instructions were very clear, he even gave us a list of suggested places to go. Thank you again for letting us stay.

    Priscilla2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brent was a great host! He met us at the building late at night to help us get checked in. There was confusion about the building because it's not the same place as what's pictured. The room was clean and adequate. What I really appreciated was the coffee and creamer that was included in the room.

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated in the bottom of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Come on through the gate, down the old brick pathway, and take a left at the hydrangea to the private entrance. You'll notice all the exposed brick piers and the lovely french doors. (You'll also notice that the ceilings are a bit low. This may not be a good space for you if you're really tall or like to do jumping jacks) You'll enter into the space and first see the modern kitchenette. It has a dorm sized fridge, a two burner cooktop, a microwave, a coffee maker and everything you'll need for some light cooking. The living room is large and has a couch that could sleep an extra guest if needed. The bedroom is separated from the living room by heavy curtains. It has a comfy queen bed and thick curtains for helping you sleep in. What more could you need? And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, internet, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks from the streetcar line.
  • Great spot for our long weekend in New Orleans. Easy and quick walk to the street car and walkable to several restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Very private and cozy. Would definitely recommend Jackson's place!

    Ellen2016-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really a perfect location for your next trip to New Orleans. A really spacious and cool space with its own entrance and amenities. And easy walk into downtown and plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to New Orleans

    Peter2016-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely apartment in a wonderful location. Jackson met us when we arrived and showed us round and gave some tips on the local area. The apartment was really nicely done out and calm and cool. Also a sweet outside area to sit and hang out with the chickens. The kitchen was fine for very light cooking. The area felt very safe and there were some great places to eat and drink locally - the Blind Pelican for happy hour oysters were great. Also very close to the street car downtown or to the French Qtr. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting and wanting to be away from the hectic French Qtr.

    Millie2015-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic host! So welcoming and helpful with orienting us with the the area, in addition to downtown.

    Fred2015-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Don't let the surrounding area have you think you won't find an absolute gem here. An amazing place. Jackson met us out the front and showed us around the place, including meeting her dog and chickens. You're close to a few restraunts and public transport. The area is fantastic to go view the cemeteries or just hop on the street car and look at the amazing buildings.

    Justin2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • 5 Stars across the board. I would actively seek to stay here again in the future.

    Mike2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson's apartment was awesome! It was within walking distance of the street car to get downtown. The place itself was super comfortable, spacious, and quiet. We also loved being greeted by Jackson when we got there. Their dog, Pearl, even scratched at the door to greet us upon arrival. It's a beautifully remodeled space with a lovely backyard. We enjoyed seeing the chickens before heading downtown everyday.

    Stephanie2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • There is so much to see and do in NOLA, that we pretty much spent all our time exploring, Jackson met us on arrival and gave us some tips :-) The home was just what we needed, a comfy bed and place to chill.. Thanks for having us!

Our cool and comfortable studio apartment is the perfect little hideaway to retreat to after enjoying this beautiful city. It comfortably fits two and is located in the beautiful Oak lined neighborhood of Carrolton. Just one block from the Carrolton/St.Charles Streetcar line and walking distance to many restaurants/bars.
You have private access to a bottom floor studio apartment. You will have full private access to the whole studio and come and go as you please.
My studio is nestled on the bottom floor of my two story house and I currently occupy the upstairs so I will be available for anything you may need. Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Carrolton, it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD and French Quarter, but one block from the Carrolton/St Charles Street car line (20 minute ride on the streetcar to downtown or Napoleon Avenue where all the uptown Mardi Gras parades start). Oak street is a 4 block walk from the apartment where there are a lot of local restaurants and bars including the famous Maple Leaf bar and Jacques-Imo's Creole Restaurant. Just a few more blocks down is the famous diner Camellia Grill and the streetcar can take you directly Downtown/French Quarter and the shopping on Magazine street.
  • This is a perfect place for anyone seeking a quiet place after the downtown frenzy. The place is very close to public transit which is a great way to see the city. Claire was very accommodating.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience but it definitely won't be my last! Claire's place is exactly as described... Quiet, comfortable, close enough to everything to be convenient, but far enough to allow for quiet recuperation! Claire communicated with us prior to and during our stay! We highly recommend her!

  • This place was exactly what we needed! Only 15 min drive or uber ride to the French Quarter in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Place was so clean, had all necessary amenities, and allowed pets which was difficult to find in other locations! Would definitely stay here again if I ever visit NOLA again! 5 stars

    Alexandria2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's apartment was exactly as described. We were only there for one night, and it was just what we needed. The location was good since it was quiet, but it was also close enough to get where we needed to go. I would absolutely stay here again! Thanks Claire!

  • Had a great stay here while visiting for a friends wedding. The host made checking in super easy and the room was really comfortable.

  • Julienne's private room was spacious and fit our needs. It is located in a great community with a lot of history and cultural wealth. It's also a quick trip to the French Quarter and Frenchman street. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Great stay, close to the French Quater, we had a great time!

  • Caroline was a great host. The check in process was super easy and she responded to messages quickly. We really appreciated the small touches like the welcome sign on the door and complimentary snacks. We wouldn’t have walked anywhere in the area as many locals suggested that it was known as an unsafe area. However we took great use of the $7 uber into the French quarter and CBD. Would recommend :)

THE HOUSE OF SWEET DREAMS Hi, and welcome! I'm Andrew, glad you found my listing! Here is a list of all the useful info about my house: **Pricing Fluctuates During Seasons/Holidays $45 is base price** "The Marie Antoinette Room" is decorated and is an environment for you to feel welcome and at home with a New Orleans appeal. I am flexible and available to accomodate any check-in or check-out time however, for regularity sake I suggest: Check in after 3pm Check out before 11am Check out my other listings, full of great reviews, and happy guests! :)
I Live in the Historic "Bywater Neighborhood" Close to the "French Quarter/Bourbon St." Downtown and the Historic Marigny Neighborhood/Frenchman Street A safe area where everyone looks out for one another, with families and young entrepreneurs dotting the area with eclectic bars, eateries and shops. There are several good restaurants, the "St. Claude Art Galleries", and the Mississippi River. A couple more blocks and you're at Two of the most popular coffee shops in town, Even more amazing restaurants, vintage shops, 24hr health food grocery, and many local destinations! Our house is a calm and beautiful ride along the Mississippi 1.5 miles to the French Quarter down beautiful South Peters Ave. Commonly sought after attractions within 1.5 miles of our house are: Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, French Market, Spotted Cat, Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Maison, Apple Barrel, Coop's Place, Mardi Gras Zone, Mimi's in the Marigny, All Ways Lounge, and the Bywater, Marigny, 7th Ward, and Treme neighborhoods.
  • My experience at Coco & Andrew's "Marie Antionette Room" was excellent. They have got a set-up that is thoughtfully and meticulously set up for the traveller. They are prompt and excellent in their communication, the check in is intelligent, clear and works well, the bikes, bike locks and room keys are well organized and easy to use, the kitchen and bathroom are well-equiped, well maintained, clean and more than ample to accommodate numerous guests. The Marie- Antionette room was another example of the forethought, creative vision and meticulous care to detail that give the Coco and Andrew experience some extra charm. The room is very comfortable, wonderfully decorated, fursihed and the bed is fabulous. I have already recommended to the place to a couple of friends and would not hesitate to do so.

  • Andrew was very accommodating and the apartment was as advertised. Walking distance (45 minutes if you take the scenic route) to the quarters, near a number of cafes, shops, and local hangouts.

    Jessi2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Did not meet the host, and did not meet anyone because I immediately checked out and into a hotel. I know not to expect hotel-quality accommodations but the reason I left was because of a bad odor and two round stains on the sheets. Smells and stained sheets are deal breakers for me.

    Brittany2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great room in a great part of town. Bywater / Marigny is a wonderful area with a lot of great eating, drinking and general wandering to be had. Highly recommended.

    Alice2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Andrew and Amandas place. The rooms were very clean and the they just looked so lovely. The NOLA-Guide was a great help and made with a lot of love! The house is really close to the French Quarter and a cab-ride takes about 5 minutes and costs around 10 $ (we recommend the yellow cab =)) The neighbors are very friendly and always said Hi =).

    Tamara2014-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the Marie Antoinette room was a wonderful experience. Slept like a baby and woke up like royalty. I booked very last minute with Andrew (At the airport about an hour before I showed up to the door). I was very grateful to have such a responsive host. The bikes were a wonderful amenity. I quickly took one out for a lovely evening ride in the neighborhood to grab some food. Their zine is great! I would absolutely stay here again when I come to town. Great for singles or couples.

    Chris2014-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! I didn't see too much of Andrew but the room was nice and the house was well-located to everything we wanted to see. Andrew's guide-zine was helpful and had good recommendations. The bikes were incredibly useful for getting around, couldn't have had such a good trip without them. They aren't top of the line but they will get you from the Bywater to Uptown. Overall a great experience!

    Phoebe2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very Quant and clean. Andrew was a great host and communicated very well. Would definitely recommend his place.

3 easy and safe blocks to The French Quarter and Bourbon St! Walk to Superdome!
  • Brent's place is in a newer high-rise building within walking distance of the French Quarter and the Central Business District. The building has a helpful front desk and reminded us of a nice hotel. Bring toiletries with you and take an Uber instead of rental car. A great place to go have an amazing New Orleans lunch and then come back for a quiet nap! Don't forget to do a historical walking tour while you are there!

    Jim & Deb2018-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Located close to everything. The most expensive uber was $8. It's a good place to lay your head at night or get a nap during the day. If you looking for luxury, look elsewhere.

    Ray2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Brent's place is a good value in a convenient location. It's a short walk to the French Quarter, but far enough away from the noise and the, um, smells, that you can still get a good night's sleep if that's your thing. The building seemed very secure and everyone I encountered was super friendly. (Actually, the people of New Orleans are among the friendliest people I've ever met!)

    Suzanne2017-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and great value. Very accommodating host and great experience

    Whitney2018-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Brent’s place is close enough to walk to Bourbon St and the Superdome yet is still quite when you get in the room which was great! The place was very clean and even though we didn’t have time to take advantage of the amenities the building is full of them. Checking in and out was very simple and Brent’s communication was awesome.

    Harley2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Really great apartment! Easy walk to Bourbon Street and a lovely place to stay. Would definitely stay there again.

    Mike2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Brent’s Place was great! Awesome location for a fun time in Nola. Less than a 15 min walk to the middle of the French quarter. Brent was very responsive and accommodating, would definitely recommend this place to others!

    Andrew2018-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Brent’s place is exactly as described! A clean studio in a central location. This place is perfect for a quick stay in New Orleans as it is very easy to walk to all the sights but quiet enough that you can actually sleep. We felt very safe during our entire time and really enjoyed all the food and activity suggestions Brent gave us! Brent was quick to respond and always willing to help. When we had trouble finding the key he answered his phone right alway and was very helpful!

Great, 2 large room suite with king bed, new jacuzzi (someone broke the jacuzzi part) bath and all the amenities you need. There's a mini fridge (for all your great local leftovers), microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, brita water and cable/wifi.
2 large private rooms (parlor and bedroom) and full bath in a great location, with cafe & coffee shops nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed and the parlor room has a twin bed, if you need more sleep areas. I also have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The space has your own private locked entrance and is just off my front porch, which is a great spot to have your morning coffee or tea. Easy off-street parking, too. I have 2 bikes (huffy’s) you can use at your own risk, but you need to let me know before I leave for work so I can get them out for you. You are responsible for damage or theft and I req a $10/bike use fee to cover maintenance, bc it req extra work to tend to bikes. There are neighborhood rentals, but I think they are 30-40/day. Also, if traveling w pet need to approve with me and there is a $20 fee for pets. If you are a solo guest or staying longer than 6 days I will give you a break on price!o
The marigny is the greatest neighborhood and this space is all yours--its your own oasis in the front of my house w own entry. Easy and close (usually just in front of house) street parking. You can walk to the French quarter, frenchmen st., or just enjoy all the marigny has to offer. I have cable, wi-fi, central ac & am willing to consider pets. Note: I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that are very friendly, but they stay in my living space. This is a great place to stay for an authentic new Orleans experience in one of usa's best neighborhoods (look it up, it's true).
  • Best Airbnb experience ever. What a great apartment (although it's part of a bigger house it _really_ is its own space), in a wonderful neighborhood close to everything. We hung out on the front porch and felt like we could move to New Orleans in a heartbeat. Kerrie's a great host, she's got lots of tips to share about the city and she's respectful of privacy. Will return next time I'm in the city!

    Joakim2013-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at the Private Oasis in the Marigny was marvelous! The Private Suite is spacious with super, comfortable beds and perfectly appointed with Cable TV, Coffee/Tea set-up, Brita Pitcher, Fridge, Microwave and more. If it were warmer out, we would have hung out on the porch which would be great for people-watching. Kerrie provided everything that I needed, and took care of any request quickly. She even invited me to a Mardi Gras party at her place and watch the parade go by! What a priceless New Orleans experience. The location is fantastic. Great coffee shops and cafe's are within 1 to 6 blocks away. The French Quarter is an easy, picturesque 20 minute walk. I was able to use her bike for the day and tour the lower 9th ward. When I come back to New Orleans, I will be staying here. I would highly recommend this AirBnB.

    Catherine2014-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We really appreciated the situation and the area. We enjoyed the small cafés and great restaurants just a few steps from the house. The house is cosy and comfortable. Nola was a blast! We recommend Marigny for a stay in Nola.

    Julien2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie's house was conveniently located so that we could walk to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter easily. Street parking was easy and the neighborhood seemed very safe. The two rooms were perfect for my friend and I to share, and having a microwave and frig was appreciated. I would stay here again.

    Carol2013-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood was quiet and calming but also walking distance to downtown. Kerrie was very welcoming, responsive, and easy to work with and the house was absolutely gorgeous. It had everything we needed from water, coffee, and snacks to a comfortable bed and shower. I am very appreciative of Kerrie and her quick response so that my friends and I could have a great experience.

    Molly2015-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie was great! From the moment of first contact to farewelling us she was responsive, friendly and went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We came to NOLA for the music and Kerrie's apartment was perfectly situated for sampling the best NOLA was offering. The apartment was close to the French Quarter and Frenchman's and walking the neighbourhood was a delight. A slight hot water problem was attended to promptly. Highly reccomended.

    Paul & Moira2013-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our week-long stay at Kerrie's was our first Airbnb experience and it was perfect! We wouldn't change a thing. She was excellent about communication and a pleasure to speak with. The house is in an ideal location and has all the comforts and extras you need - toiletries, linens, mini fridge, coffee, umbrellas, bikes, etc. We walked 1 block to breakfast every morning (Cake Cafe and Upper 9 Donuts both highly recommended), took the bikes out each day to explore the farther reaches of the city, and strolled a few blocks down to Frenchman St each night for dinner and music. We rented a car the last 2 nights of the stay so that we could venture out to the plantations and swamps. Free street parking was easy and safe, right in front of the house. We highly recommend Kerrie's place for it's location, comforts and character.

    Jillian2014-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie was very attentive and responded promptly when I contacted her. The home is BEAUTIFUL. Exactly as described. Marigny is an entrancing neighborhood and surprisingly quiet. Palm trees and brightly colored houses all around. Only in New Orleans! Walked off the porch and a man was leaning on a light post playing saxophone. Don't miss out on the Cake Cafe just a block away. Thanks Kerrie! I hope to be back soon!

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon St. and Orleans Ave. across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center of the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.
  • Lovely room! Great view! Perfect location! Be ready for noise, but... it’s Bourbon Street!!! I highly recommend this location!!

  • This place is AMAZING! Clean, great location, easy to find and right in the middle of the action. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a great location to enjoy New Orleans with all the amenities of a home! We will definitely be back soon! And the host is amazing also! Very helpful and responsive! A+++ all around!!

    Jana2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location if you want to be where the action is. The balcony is awesome. This is Bourbon st; so obviously you don't want to stay here if you're looking for peace and quiet. If you need to sleep, Andres has provided ear plugs. Since this is the center of the French quarter, you'll be within walking distance to cool shops, art galleries, restaurants, and bars. We never even needed to use our car.

  • Thank you Andre for being a super host!! Your suggestions on where to eat were spot on!! We especially enjoyed The Grapevine & Sucre! This was my 2nd trip to NOLA. I brought my daughter this time. We felt extremely safe & to be honest I was a bit concerned at 1st. Two females in the FQ & in the heart of all the action was a little concerning re safety.. Much to my surprise, safety was the last thing we had to be concerned about! Our "Mother/Daughter trip" was perfect & we had no worries at all!! Thank you for the early ck in. The beads were such a nice added touch! The place was absolutely perfect. Cozy, comfy ( I actually slept on the futon the entire time) The balcony was the icing on the " King Cake" I'm so thrilled I was able to show my daughter a great time ( the room definately helped impress her..& she's a litlle Diva) Thank you for a fabulous 1st Airbnb experience! I will definitely be back!!!

  • Andres place is amazing! I've stayed in New Orleans multiple times and this is by far the best one yet. There were plenty of towels and the place was spotless. This lovely apartment is five minutes across the Mississippi by ferry from the French Quarter. I am a registered host with New Orleans and my permit number is 17STR-04824. Enjoy downtown New Orleans has to offer and come back to a cozy and safe neighborhood and home. You’ll love my place because of new amenities, quiet oak-lined streets, porch and backyard access. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
This is one half of a 106 year old home originally built in 1907. I just finished completing extensive work in the apartment including refinishing the floors to their original pine. The house still includes many of its original features including transoms over the doors. It is a shotgun style apartment, typical to New Orleans, in that all of the rooms are interconnected. The street is beautiful and lined with hundred year old Oak trees. The trees are also a nesting ground for herons! The bedrooms are private but you would have to walk through the house to get to the bathroom. I live on the other side of the home and love to meet people from all over the world. So feel free to ask me for restaurant/ bar/ outings suggestions! The home is cozy but it does not include central AC and heating. There are space heaters however and window units for the AC. The kitchen is newly renovated and has all the appliances needed. Same goes for the bathroom! Also please enjoy the art in the second room of the home in particular! My boyfriend Duane is a collage artist and works out of that space when it is not being rented for travelers. The porch overlooks the only oak tree lined street in Algiers Point. There is a nice patio in the backyard if you would like to sit outside. Washer and dryer is available in the back shed for your use. It's a cozy home, the neighborhood is safe to walk around in at night and only five minutes from the French Quarter by ferry!
Algiers Point is probably one of the prettiest neighborhoods in the city to walk around in. There are beautiful views of the river, historic homes, treelined streets. It's idyllic. There are also a handful of bars in the neighborhood you can check out to get a taste of some of the characters that live here. Expect to run into a ton of older artists and musicians.
  • Great escape from the hustle and bustle of NOLA. Loved Mari’s neighborhood and she recommended that we check out this great little dive bar that we loved. We also loved her dog. I would definitely stay here again.

    Rachel2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mari's place was very close to the action, but far away enough to be quiet at nice. Nicely decorated and in a nice neighborhood.

  • We were really hoping for a cute and comfortable place to rest between sightseeing and were extremely happy with this listing! A beautiful neighborhood and a lovely porch to relax on.

    Taylor2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and great value in Algiers Point. Mari was extremely accommodating, and her home was clean and a great example of New Orleans style.

    Daniel2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, Mari was a great communicator! She was kind and accommodating. Her home is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It's is spacious and full of additional blankets and towels. We stayed with our 3 kids aged 4 to 10. We loved the fact that there was no tv or but computers but there is Wi-Fi connection if needed. Seriously a nice tech break. The neighborhood is safe and near the ferry. We drive everywhere... It was about a 15 minute drive into the French Quarter and an 18 minute drive to the Garden District. It is centrally located and quiet. The beds were comfy and we never felt crowded. We cooked breakfast each morning and had plenty of space for food storage in the fridge. The air conditioners work well and were greatly appreciated on the hot humid summer days if our stay. We recommend Mari's place to anyone considering it. It is my favorite place out of my 4 airbnb NO LA stays.

    Diana2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an amazing place to stay, the house is beautiful, the neighborhood is even more pretty (very peaceful and gives a sense of safety that other places lack). There's nothing bad to say about this place. We will definitely look for it if we come back to New Orleans.

    Juan2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Located in a quiet and quaint neighborhood. Local restaurants and watering holes were fun! The ferry was easy and cheap. It’s very punctual!

    Mary2018-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mari is amazing!!!! What a phenomenal host. Checking in/out was easy and quick, she stopped by to introduce herself and show us how to work the heating/cooling units and let us know that she was available for any questions, tips, etc. The location was perfect and only about a 10 minute walk to the ferry to downtown. 4 of us stayed in the space and there was plentyyy of room, and it was very homey and comfortable. Everything was super clean and perfect as well. I would 100% stay here again and recommend the space to others! If I have friends looking to visit NOLA I'll be sure to suggest Mari's cozy home :)

My stay at Andrew 's worked out great! He was very accommodating given the lateness of my request and everything was super easy to figure out. I was able to find the keys and access very easily, the bed and living space were very comfortable, and the kitchen was awesome. I highly recommend for anyone, and especially for those in a pinch! Thanks again Andrew!!

Missy and Bryan were wonderful hosts. They were very welcoming and kind. The place was exactly as they described in the listing. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. They even added a few bags of Zapp's chips. The neighborhood was peaceful and only a few blocks from the French quarter. Would definitely stay there again.
