Very quiet and lovely views
  • Words really cannot describe the excellent experience we had staying at this incredible winery. Mary and Peter were awesome hosts and we felt completely at home. The space is incredible, as was the wine. The location is great and you are surrounded by a vast amount of wineries and are really close to Healdsburg and Geyersville. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here, I know that my wife and I will be planning a return visit.

  • Fantastic. Just as described. Welcoming and comfortable.

    Andrea2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place for a wine country get-away. Peter and Mary Beth are so welcoming to their piece of heaven. We'll definitely be back.

    Lisa2016-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The location can't be beat. It offers privacy and an amazing view. Easy to go into town for great restaurants, and there are so many great wineries in the area (including MoniClaire, of course!) I highly recommend staying here. We'll be back again.

    Lauren2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice stay at Mary Beth & family.

  • Unique, quiet, and relaxing space in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Ideally located in the country, but within a short drive of downtown Healdsburg. Hosts were terrific communicators and very accommodating. Note, there is no kitchen and the main living space is a wine tasting room, so the space may not be for everyone.

    Stephanie & Jason2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Beth is a very good host. Thoughtful and a great communicator. Accommodations are a great spot to get away for some piece and quiet. Healdsburg and other great wineries very close by. Highly recommend!

  • Fantastic spot, we wish it hadn't been raining so we could have spent more time outside by the pool. Great hospitality. Fully stocked fridge with everything we needed. Comfortable beds and super clean bathroom! All in all a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend in wine country.

Rustic cabin, built in 1901, now being lovingly nuzzled back to beauty. Spacious and cozy, woodsy and bright, with two big porches overlooking the Russian River Valley. For each rental, $50 goes to the Sonoma County Resilience Fund for fire relief efforts.
Rustic cabin, built in 1901, now being lovingly nuzzled back to beauty. Spacious and cozy, woodsy and bright, with two big porches overlooking the Russian River Valley. A five-minute walk from the river, a five-minute drive from a bunch of wineries, and twenty-five minutes from the unbelievable Sonoma coast.
  • This was our first trip not in the Summer and it was great as usual! The fireplace kept us toasty and the views were incredible. We love this place!

    Megan2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Eli was super communicative, and the cabin was a wonderful place to spend the weekend, and such a great location too!

    Tristan2013-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • One day's stay in Eli's mountain side home is enough to bring you back...after 3 days, I felt uncomfortable about leaving. There is everything you need in every room. There are little nooks all over to discover, an extensive library for the eclectic sort, and a beautiful, childlike vibe. We communicated via text, email, and by phone- always warm with a bit humor. The place is tres cool, but not glammed up in the least. It was perfect for me. Barking distance of the Russian River!

    Rebecca2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful time at Eli's place. We knew we had picked the right spot when we walked in and saw the most perfect breakfast nook we'd ever encountered: a custom-built wooden table with a view of the top of the canyon lined with evergreen trees where the fog settles in the morning before burning off. Who could imagine a better place to sip a mug of coffee (made in the house's french-press) while listening to Eli's Buddy Holly record (one choice among a large record collection). Or if you'd rather enjoy your breakfast outside, there is a table outside on the large deck that gets tons of sun in the morning. The entire place is just oozing with charm with vintage decorations in every nook and cranny. We also took advantage of Eli's supply of inner-tubes to float on the river, just a stones throw from the house. So here's the verdict: if you are looking for a charming semi-rustic cabin getaway with all the comforts of home in a house that is way cooler than your own home (and with a more interesting collection of books), you should stay here. We're back at home in San Francisco now and plotting the next time we might make a run for it up to Eli's place.

    Christy2012-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Eli's place was a perfect getaway for our long weekend adventure to Healdsburg for a friends weddings. The location in-between the coast and 101 made for easy access to both. The cabin's simple and rustic decor makes for the perfect vacation for those looking to get away for a few days. Eli made the process simple for us, traveling from out of state, and was available via email to answer my questions.

    Dru2013-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Eli's house. Very cozy, but spacious. We loved the way it was decorated, and it was fun checking out the garden and watering the plants in the morning. It's a 10 minute walk to the river and far enough away from town and the road that it isn't noisy. Eli was a helpful, responsive host, and we'd stay again anytime!

    Pauli2012-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • My mom is visiting from Istanbul, Turkey. Me and my boyfriend took her to some wine tasting in Sonoma last Saturday and stayed at Eli's place overnight. It is beautifully located in the woods. When we arrived to drop off our stuff and go out to dinner, we immediately changed our minds and decided to BBQ at the deck instead. Then we sipped our wine by the fireplace listening to Eli's record collection. Woke up to a gorgeous morning and had some delicious Four Barrel coffee supplied by our tasteful host! Great experience, highly recommended!

    Alanur2013-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, and the whole process super-smooth. Going for a walk down to the river is very nice.

This is a really sweet, romantic studio layout with lots of room and an amazing, huge shower. I efficient kitchen and relaxing front porch - My personal favorite when I get a chance to go up to the river

  • Great location and Johnny's place was clean and well-furnished. The bathroom had tons of towels and there was shampoo and conditioner to use if needed. We brought our bikes and pedaled to Guerneville, Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, and Korbel Champagne Cellars. We had a great experience and recommend this area and Johnny's place!

    Ahmad2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy little home made for a great weekend getaway. Johnny was very responsive and communicated efficiently. An excellent hidden place!

    Yuri2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, the location was great, very close to Guerneville, near the river. The unit was quiet and comfortable.

    Ali2013-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place. So close to the river and redwoods and downtown (safeway, ice cream, restaurants etc.) Amazing shower and comfy bed. Couldn't figure out the tv but didn't matter. Don't know if I just couldn't find it but a pasta strainer would be a nice addition. Otherwise kitchen was stocked and lovely. Johnny was extremely quick to respond to any questions and the housekeeper let us check in early and out late which was very nice of her. Only real downside at all was the heat was sweltering so we kept the windows open which made for a surprisingly loud night due to traffic and drunk people (locals?) That said: Would totally return.

    Adam2014-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here with my girlfriend from out of town. Cute little home, comfy, clean, and great location if you're looking to stay in the Guernville area! Johnny was very easy to talk to and to get a hold of. Very quick to respond.

    Brette2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! I was here for work so I didn't get to explore too much. I absolutely plan on visiting again for vacation! When you walk out on the porch in the mornings it's beautiful. I enjoyed the drive into Santa Rosa everyday driving thru the trees and over the river! The housekeeper Shannon is excellent to work with and gave me great tips about the area and was very helpful the entire duration of my stay! Would absolutely recommend staying here!

    Latisha2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place you want to book. Perfect location for everything you could want to do!

Heaven in the Oaks An attractive, ultra-romantic, almost-a-cottage Bed&Breakfast is waiting for you in our restored 1930s-era vacation home just outside celebrated Healdsburg. We consider our B&B as a destination in itself for those who want to take full advantage of the delights of the Healdsburg-area Wine Country while at the same time luxuriating in the woodsy serenity of a secluded corner of northern Sonoma County—the historic Fitch Mountain district--and enjoying its recreational opportunities. Not least, it is the IDEAL place to celebrate that special occasion or birthday, and we can help you do that… (We are rated the “#1 Airbnb Rental in Healdsburg,” out of 100: (Website hidden by Airbnb) At Heaven in the Oaks, you can relax in your own private, quiet patio--your own secluded retreat: from your room you can see nothing but trees. You can take a walk or jog through the oaks and redwoods--a great path to the 173-acre Fitch Mountain Nature Preserve (called “Healdsburg’s Jewel”) actually starts right outside your front door. You can swim/kayak in the Russian River (5 minutes below your patio)… or drive/Lyft/Uber to Healdsburg’s historic, colorful Plaza, shops, restaurants, & tasting rooms. Now, to be clear, don’t expect to be “right on the Plaza”; we’re a beautiful oasis in the country. But the Healdsburg Plaza is just a quick 3.1-mile, 9-minute drive--honest! (Sure, Fitch Mountain Road is a bit narrow and curvy in places--it hugs the river--, but drive slowly and enjoy its “vacation-cottage landscape.” And yes, there are two uphill curves just before our home, but think “charming hill town in Italy”!) We have only one guest room--and it really is almost a separate, private cottage (attached to the house, but totally insulated from it: a 200 sq.ft room + bathroom & 200 sq.ft. patio), with its own private entry and parking. Our objective is to give you an enjoyable stay, right from the moment you check in. And we’re “on-site hosts”--ready to give you whatever you need. When you arrive, you will be greeted with a glass of wine (do you like red, rosé, or white?) and an array of tasty snacks. But wait!--that is just the beginning. Being the ONLY TRUE B&B in the Healdsburg area, we serve you a bounteous, gourmet, home-made breakfast (we invite you to factor this breakfast-for-two into the price of a stay here), with a lengthy menu of delicious selections, and a choice of times (crack of dawn or sleep in?), delivered to your door. Enjoy morning-fresh eggs from our four hens, Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda, and Carrie (when cooperating). Our guests love our unique offerings! As one guest wrote: "I didn’t have to get dressed to go out or to a common dining room. I stayed in my room, no make-up, hair in a mess and in my pj's! They brought me what I wanted, when I wanted it, hot and fresh to my door.” Another said that she felt she was a princess being pampered. Even if you’re not a princess, we want you to feel special. The photos we have posted on this site will give you an exact picture of your room, and we recommend looking at them carefully. You will enjoy: ● A cozy, light-filled sitting room-bedroom with • gorgeous, spacious armoire • elegant furnishings & bamboo hardwood floor • writing table and comfortable chairs • queen-size bed • private patio • two windows overlooking a wooded creek & canyon (where you may see our deer “family” placidly grazing just a few feet below your window) • electric fireplace • ceiling fan & air-conditioner • other amenities, including mini-fridge, microwave oven, single-shot tea- and coffee-maker, large-screen TV, “legacy” DVD player + DVDs, total picnic needs for the river, iron & board, robes & slippers, free, secure Wi-fi internet, and… paintings by Kathryn. (Please note that it is a room not a suite! There is plenty of room for two suitcases, but guests with 3 or more may find it tight. No need to put anything in the car trunk, though: we’ll be glad to store anything you want--suitcases, wine (we promise not to open your wine bottles), etc.). ● Totally private, connecting bathroom with large, just-installed walk-in shower, towel-warmer, heater, etc. Mosaic floor by Kathryn, of course. ● Reserved parking spot right in front—large & all for you--& private front entrance ● French doors opening onto a walled, flower-filled private patio, with gate and complete privacy, for dining and relaxing, with a transparent roof over the table against the rain and a radiant gas heater for alfresco breakfasts on chilly mornings. Like your room, it’s filled with art by Kathryn: mosaic stepping stones, mirrors & frames… And oh, the starry sky above (moon & clouds permitting)! And you’ll enjoy “our own” chickadees (bathing in the fountain), hummingbirds (in the Abutilon bush), and Steller’s jays (waiting to taste your breakfast). What we offer makes Heaven on the Oaks a true destination in itself! And we love guests who are looking for just such a place! • Single or couple only • PLEASE: no children over one year old, pets, • No smoking, even of our locally-grown product, please (either inside or on the patio) • In 2018, a TWO-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY applies to SOME WEEKENDS —so please check the calendar when considering a booking! • Electric vehicles: We LOVE seeing electric cars, but if you’re going to charge them here, we reluctantly have to ask for an extra $10 per day (cash or check), the cost we are billed. • So sorry, but the County of Sonoma charges 12% TOT (Transient Occupancy Tax), already included in your quoted price, and requires Airbnb to charge you that amount, which Airbnb then remits directly to the County. “… A true find in Healdsburg… “ “… I felt like I was staying in a boutique hotel… “ “… We thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in their guest suite which was the epitome of relaxation. Their beautiful mountain retreat was peaceful and incredibly quiet. Dave & Kathryn were spectacular hosts and I would not hesitate to stay here again….” “… The accommodations were thoughtfully and artistically designed, with every amenity… “ “… We also wanted to go for wine tasting and guess what? They had everything to plan your wine tasting places in the valley. Maps, lists and a lot of complimentary wine tasting passes…” “… The home cooked breakfast was delicious and large enough to keep us well fed during hours of wine tasting. We'll definitely recommend this little gem to our friends and family!... “ Ours is a quiet rural road nestled in beautiful oaks, redwoods, California bay, and buckeye trees near the bottom of Fitch Mountain, some 100’ above the Russian River. Ours was a popular riverside vacation area in the 1920s and 1930s for families from the San Francisco area; many of the houses are converted and enlarged summer homes (like ours, now 2,000 sq.ft.). Fitch Mountain is known for its interesting local history, eclectic building styles, beautiful views, secluded neighborhoods, and friendly spirit. Step out your door, and a five-minute walk below our B&B is the Russian River, where you can launch your canoe/kayak, or just picnic (we’ll give you a “picnic pack” with everything you’ll need) and watch everyone float by. We can email you complete information on kayaking/canoeing opportunities and rental services. Or head up our road: it quickly becomes a popular walking and biking path right in the midst of the forest, and it continues on an easy ascent to the top of Fitch Mountain (all 981 feet of it!), currently being developed as a nature preserve. This is paradise for walkers, hikers, joggers, and cyclists. Nearby, and stretching to the coast, are a host of city, county, and state parks of every size and description. We can email you complete information on popular walking trails--including a fascinating one to the Healdsburg Ridge Park, which you can access from your room. And we can send you full information. We can also send you a list of local bicycle rental shops and what they each offer. Just ask. Healdsburg is a destination--rated #2 in the Smithsonian Magazine's "Top 20 Towns to Visit in 2014" & #1 in CitiesJournal’s April 2014 “Top 15 Small Cities in California,” with its famous Plaza--voted among the 10 best in the U.S.-and world-class shopping, restaurants, and winery tasting rooms. Wine-tasting is just minutes away. You might start with a few of Healdsburg’s 34 tasting-rooms right downtown, or just head for the wineries themselves. Among the winery-filled areas, in 8 to 30 minutes you will be at famous wineries in Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, Chalk Hill, and Sonoma Valley. We are truly in the heart of the Sonoma County Wine Country! In your room you’ll find full information, plus maps and free tasting passes to over 30 wineries. Kathryn owned her own winery, and Dave worked 30 years in the Napa-Sonoma wine industry (he now works in the Italian wine industry), and we will be happy to share our knowledge with you. We can email you our own winery visit recommendations, organized into 10 “admittedly-subjective” categories! And more. You might want to head into downtown Healdsburg for a great meal in one of our many prized restaurants (the list we sent you!). Healdsburg and nearby towns boast rich programs of year-round wine events (every month!); jazz and musical events; art galleries and shows; famous running and cycling competitions (e.g., Amgen race and Grand Fondo, and the Fitch Mountain foot race); river races and festivals; craft beer shows (Sonoma County has 22 craft brewers), Farmers Market (Saturday mornings, 9-12; Wednesdays, 4-6pm, May-Nov); and a multitude of farms that supply the best restaurants in Northern California. Healdsburg’s public golf course is 5 minutes down the road. We will provide you with lots of maps & tourism materials. We are an hour and a half from San Francisco airport (bus service to Healdsburg) and 15 minutes from the Santa Rosa airport. We look forward to hosting you! Kathryn and Dave Henderson
  • Perfect secluded location next to a nature preserve, yet only ten mins from town.

  • This is a special place, close to the town of Healdsburg, but nestled in a lovely wooded area next to the river. Leave yourself enough time to enjoy the beauty which is this place and the surrounding walks.. The ambiance is the same, inside and out. Cozy, peaceful, clean and welcoming. Attention to detail is everywhere from the decor, the robes, the great bath and bed. The first-class breakfast and the delicious coffee. The chance to let go and unwind. Quiet and lovely. We will see you again.

    Debra2014-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bed and Breakfast is an understatement - Kathryn went above and beyond to make this feel like a true retreat. First of all, she welcomed me with a warm hug and delicious wine and snacks to settle in. The breakfast the next morning was delivered right to the serene patio, and her muffins and breakfast burrito were delicious! And I haven't experienced such a comfortable mattress before - it truly feels like heaven! The entire place is really thoughtfully decorated and was a real highlight of my time in wine country. Thanks so much, Kathryn - I can't wait to come back!

    Michael2015-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived to Heaven in the Oaks (a little late) we were greeted with wine and snacks and a beautiful retreat in the mountains near Healdsburg. The room and patio were exactly as described, cozy, quaint, and just perfect! The B&B is super convenient to Healdsburg and wineries all around – we particularly appreciated the winery guide provided by Kathryn and enjoyed the 3 vineyards we visited very much. I definitely recommend and only wish we had more time to spend!

    Regina2015-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn and Dave are great! We had an awesome time at their place. The welcome wine tray was really classy and expertly put together with great food upon arrival, and the breakfast was really well done, if the poached eggs are on the menu, definitely order them! The room was cozy and warm during the rain. And the little pseudo fire place was a great touch. Overall a very welcoming experience.

    Jason2013-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Dave and Kathryn bring hospitality to a whole new level. The room and outdoor patio were beautiful, cozy, and private, the bed comfortable, and the food was fantastic (and ample)! The hostess is an artist and we really admired the art pieces and other personal touches in the room and patio, including hand-laid mosaic tiling and paintings. Communication was excellent but not obtrusive, and they had great recommendations for restaurants. We look forward to coming back!

    Sarah2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a special place! We absolutely loved staying at Kathryn and Dave's guest cottage! It's like a secret hideaway with a magic fairy who discreetly drops off he most amazing breakfast and treats! Kathryn and Dave are both so interesting- if we hadn't been there to celebrate our anniversary, I'd probably have bugged them to learn a lot more about their lives and work. But, we were on hideaway mode, and that's just what we did . The house is so quiet, my husband actually went back to sleep after breakfast (unheard of!). We went with Kathryn's recommendations for wine tours and absolutely loved the variety from a small family winery to a big well-known one- our lunch there knocked our socks off. Healdsburg is a charming town- the river is so lovely and the back-road drive to the cottage is charm in and if itself. The patio was our favorite spot, but let me just say- this was the best bathroom of anyplace we stayed on our trip! Such a pretty mosaic tile floor, great little tables to store/stash your stuff, and seriously the best shower ever. I swear- a 6+ ft tall person would have room to spare on that tub! And the water pressure was great (a note from my husband who cares about such things). The ceiling fan and windows kept the room cool even on a hot day and we were so comfortable there we slept with the French doors open. We had such a delightful time- Kathryn and Dave have thought of everything and test you like royalty. We loved the special treats like wine and cheese on arrival and a lovely little surprise for our anniversary - chocolates and a special Italian drink I can't remember the name of. Overall, a lovely place and such gracious hosts!

    Sara2013-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Heaven in the Oaks! Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The breakfasts were amazing! The place is a short walk to a beach on the Russian River and just a few minutes' drive from downtown Healdsburg. Kathryn was a great hostess and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend a stay at Heaven in the Oaks!

Smack dab in the middle of Sonoma County. Our 600 Sq ft Loft has all your home amenities. 5 minutes from J Winery and Rodney Strong among others. We have added your own private enclosed deck, so you can enjoy your space under the oaks. Compare to hotels with kitchens! $350.00+
Why we are worth it... 1: The Location 2: Full Kitchen 3: The Double Sized Rain Shower 4: Hosts that don't want to be all up in your business! 5: Memoryfoam Mattress 6. Private Parking off the street 7. New enclosed private deck
Quiet Neighborhood with just a little country thrown in. Construction behind The Loft has slowed to a crawl. We can not predict their intensity on a day to day basis, but the private deck allows for a more serene environment.
  • The Loft was perfectly located for us to get to numerous wineries and the price/value was unbeatable! It was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The construction behind the building did not bother us one bit because we wanted to get up and explore the area. Sonoma is too pretty to stay at your Airbnb all day. We really appreciated The Loft and highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Sonoma County!

  • Nice place, very cozy and private. Would stay again!

    Paulina2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a really lovely quick getaway spot. My fiancé and I were in town for two days for an appointment and were so pleased with this location. It was tucked away from the busier parts of wine country, but close enough with a 15 minute drive to the great restaurants in Santa Rosa or even Sebastopol. The view was pretty spectacular at sunset from the back porch, and it was decorated in a very charming manner.

  • This was a wonderful getaway for my husband and I while we were in the Russian River Valley. It was about an 8 minute drive to Healdsburg, where we ate and drank. The Uber ride home was cheap. We loved the orange tree out front, as well as the modern feel and the cozy yet spacious feel to the space. I would recommend this to anyone needing a relaxing place to stay while exploring the wine country!

    Robin Kate2016-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is really a cute great place and the hosts were great. Only reason not fantastic is that it was not easy to keep cool during heat and unit held heat well into the evening. Hosts very responsive and some very nice touches.

    David2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a clean, comfortable loft decently located for a quick drive northward to Healdsburg or Lytton/Dry Springs to visit many world-class wineries. Hosts are non-obtrusive but quick to respond to text inquiries. Had a wonderful dinner at a downtown Windsor restaurant (KIN) that we would highly recommend. We would definitely return.

    Greg2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is a beautiful studio apartment, self contained and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and I was able to cook a meal without hunting for missing pans or utensils. The Cohens were very hands off and left us to it, which I didn't mind at all, but I knew they were there if needed. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the cohen's loft. The place is spacious, clean, comfortable and pleasantly designed. The views to the vinyard definitely ad to a sonoma getaway experience. We never met the hosts but everything was clear and all our needs covered. They even left some delicious scones, cream and apple juice for breakfast, nice touch! Only minor drawback was that it didnt seem to have wifi available (instructions didnt mention it and we didnt ask for it). But was definitely not a deal breaker and we would definitely come back in our next visit to sonoma!

Enjoy your stay in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, a pastoral rural setting surrounded by vineyards and local wineries, minutes from Healdsburg's historic quaint downtown plaza. The cottage is 480 square feet with big windows, high ceilings and its own private entrance. There is parking right in front. It has a complete kitchen, living room and bathroom with a mosaic tile shower. Right across the way you can take a lovely walk or run alongside the vineyards or you can rent a bike to explore the beauty of the valley. If you enjoy hiking, seasonal kayaking or canoeing there are opportunities all around us to explore as well. Our property has multiple fruit trees and we will be happy to share whatever bounty is in season when you arrive. The water here is also clean spring fed and very tasty and the sky at night is full of stars! You can enjoy sitting in the front yard which is bordered by a dozen Redwood trees or you can picnic in our big back yard among the fruit trees. We also have 2 female dogs who are quite friendly if you'd like to meet them. We would be happy to welcome you to Sonoma County and insure that your stay here is enjoyable.
  • Great place to stay that is within 5-10 minutes of Healdsburg! Felt like out in the country, but was close enough to go for a bit to eat, see town, whatever. Nice comfortable bed and all the amenities. Perfect for a visit to wine country!

  • We had a wonderful time at Sonia and Elliott's! We had some issues with the shower head and they immediately replaced it and were so accommodating. We will definitely be coming back soon!

    Rachel2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here when we attended the Wine Road Barrel tasting weekend. The cottage is tucked away on West Dry Creek Road, but accessible to town in 5 minutes by car. The cottage is newly remodeled and beautifully appointed with original modern art and a brightly colored tile shower. The hosts left us Russian River wine, Peet's coffee, Ghiradelli chocolates, home made marmalade, organic shampoo, and wonderful soaps! Elliott and Sonia came by to introduce themselves. Otherwise they respected our privacy, but were available if we needed anything, which we didn't because they had already thought of everything! This place is the perfect "hideaway" for a weekend when you need to rest and revitalize yourselves from work and regular worldly stress. We were very comfortable and would definitely return. A great value for the money.

    Bambi Lynn2014-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The first thing we said to Sonia when we met her was that the pictures and profile of the cottage here don't do it justice. Meaning…it was much better and cooler than we expected! We loved the art and style of the space - hard to describe and the pics here don't do it justice. It was the perfect space for my wife and I for our stay near Healdsburg. It is off the beaten path of Healdsburg itself so very quiet. But, its also right on Dry Creek Road with many nearby wineries. In fact, its one of the few properties on the road thats not a winery. So, if you want an eclectic, cool and charming cottage in the heart of wine country, this is the place. We would definitely come back here again. Sonia and Elliott were great hosts…gave us all the space we wanted, the place was spotless and had all the amenities needed for our stay. They reminded me that TV's aren't needed when you're on vacation. Basic internet service was available; again, really all you need when trying to get away for a while. Well…that and a bottle of wine.

    Harold2014-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, well-appointed cottage in the stunning Dry Creek valley.

    Etan2014-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down best Air BnB experience! This cottage is delightful. Sonia has thought of everything (all the bathroom necessities, kitchen staples including coffee!, plenty of towels, blankets, etc.). The cottage is airy and bright and the setting is beautiful and quiet, but close enough to enjoy Healdsburg and wine country. The wifi is slow and there's no tv, but honestly, I am so glad to be free of distractions.

You won't find a house with a better location. No neighbors right next door so you feel like you have a big piece of the River COMPLETELY to yourselves. It's rustic, homey and charming. Read the reviews and you'll see that everyone loves it here. Come, relax and forget about EVERYTHING :- ) I do not accept reservation requests without communicating with my guests first, so DO email me and wait for a reply before making a request, OK? Thank You !
The house really does have an AMAZING setting. 180 view of Russian River and no one to share it with but the occasional canoe paddling by. It's like having a big section of the River all to yourselves when you stay here! Very Private, as it is at the end of a short private road. You can literally throw a rock into the water from the deck. River access right from the house and it's ON my property. Note: Please do NOT make a Reservation Request until AFTER you and I have communicated a bit. I will not accept it, and it creates hassles. 2-stories, 1,400 square feet, redwood trees on either side AND growing up through the deck next to the hot tub (it is SO COOL!) with an amazing view of the Russian River. 2 miles from the Korbel Champagne Cellars and wineries are everywhere. 5 miles East of Guerneville with its fun shops & restaurants. 10 miles West of Santa Rosa, This is charming, rustic, cabin-style house is decorated with comfort and relaxation in mind and a few antiques thrown in for good measure. It’s spacious (2 Living Rooms) comfortable and very cozy. 4 Bedrooms. One on the main floor of the house, off the kitchen, with a twin bed and curtains instead of doors. It has a door directly to the downstairs bathroom. Perfect for a person who can't do stairs easily. The The 3 larger bedrooms (one is HUGE and has a fireplace - you'll have to draw straws :) are upstairs. 2 Full Bathrooms plus a Shower on the Huge Deck. Six-Person Hot Tub Good Wifi Charcoal AND Gas Barbecues to Choose From Very Well-Appointed Kitchen DVD player / Stereo Receiver / TV for watching movies. There is a drawer full of movies to choose from. No Cable-on purpose :) Fireplace in Master Bedroom and wood stove in downstairs Living Room. I supply the firewood for heat in the winter. I send guests a "House Tips" sheet with suggested things to do and places to eat. $200 cleaning fee. Sleeps 8, and I have an 8-person limit. If your party is a bit larger than that I would consider it for $25 more per night per person, but no more than 10 adults may stay at the house. Too much wear-and-tear and too much water use for the septic system to handle. Small children and babies excepted. NO large parties! Note: During the super busy months (July & August), I have a 4-night minimum stay policy if the stay includes a weekend. Or we can work out a higher nightly rate and you can stay fewer nights. 2-night stays are fine between Sunday and Thursday. In September things calm down quite a bit and I can start taking weekend-only bookings again.
I LOVE the fact that it's SO peaceful! I advise my guests to bring binoculars to watch the various birds - Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Ospreys, Hawks. Sometimes a River Otter or Turtle that are often seen from the deck. Sometimes a River Otter or seal is seen swimming by. And great BIG fish of some kind - Steelhead? Also, since the house is at the end of a private road, there are no cars driving by my house and the public is not allowed on our road. One thing to note: You will pass a house that belongso my caretaker. It's a "work in progress" as far as clearing out his accumulations, but he's a very nice person and very helpful to my guests when they need local info or a raft inflated :) I suggest that my guests consider him "local color".
  • Toni was awesome to work with! We was easy to communicate with and accommodating with anything we needed. Great host!!

    Tricia2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The listing for the house was fairly accurate, except it had great photos of a dock (which we were looking forward to) and there was no dock. The listing also doesn't ay if you don't want to bring all your own sheets and make all the beds, it is an additional $100. That said, the house was adorable, clean and perfect. It had absolutely everything we needed to cook and hang out.

    Abby2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful rustic home and setting. Perfect place to spend the morning reading in front of the fire and the evening in the hottub on the deck overlooking the river. Or if you need to get out of the house a bit, close to gorgeous hiking, great breweries, and good wine. Had a minor plumbing issue, but it was quickly handled with no real inconvenience. Toni was more than helpful and we had a great weekend at the house with our friends.

    Brad2014-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Toni was very helpful and had lots of information available to us about the house, the neighborhood, the community, etc. Any questions we might have had were answered completely. The house had plenty of room for the 6 adults and 2 small children in our party. The deck was perfect and we spent most of the daylight hours and evening out there enjoying the weather and the lovely view. The hot tub was also super great to have around. We also enjoyed the fireplace and the kitchen was well-equipped. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. I've noticed in other reviews that stated it is a bit shabbier than expected, which I also noticed, but we spent most of our time outdoors so the "rustic" quality was fine. The few times we left the property we were able to find restaurants, wineries, and activities nearby. It is worth noting, however, that two of the rooms do not have doors and the other two are sliding glass doors. This isn't mentioned in the description or the information Toni gave us before we arrived. I wish we had known about this before booking.

    Meredith2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Toni kept great communication with us before our trip. Her information, house rules, and directions are clear and thorough. The pictures do the house justice and if you read through previous reviews, you should get a good picture of what you're going to get, especially if you've been to Russian River before. Just be aware that it is easier finding the place during the day so try to arrive before dark. We love the house and location. The redwoods are amazing and this house is surrounded by them. It is very cozy once you get that fire cooking. The deck is great and the hot tub was a treat. The river is right there! The rooms are nice. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Bella2015-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great listing was exactly as described. We had a blast relaxing on the back porch and watching the floaters float bye! If we are ever back out this way we will stay here again! Sweet spot, and Toni allowed for a super fast check in! Thanks, bests!

    Byron2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a beautiful location. I loved spending time on the deck and floating on the river. I hope to go back!

    David2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • I just stayed at Toni's riverfront home with 6 of my friends and we had a great time. Toni was very friendly and accessible. We didn't actually meet her but she was very communicative via phone and email. We all fit very comfortably in the house but we spent the majority of our time on the huge deck. It's a beautiful area that feels very private. We didn't see anyone else in the water when we went swimming in the river, but that may have also been due to it being later in the year. The hot tub is a great bonus, and the showers were very nice. We found most everything we needed to cook our meals and there is a little corner store close by for extra supplies. All in all, we had a wonderful time and I wish I was still there!

Brand new Guest House with private entrance on gated Vineyard Estate. Overlooks pool and vineyards with views to Mount St. Helena. Gas fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, queen bed. Toilet and sink separate from shower. Agricultural Education Programs available. Sonoma County TOT Certificate 1362N
The guest house is essentially a hotel room with a gas fireplace, refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. It has an attached bathroom with separate shower and toilet facilities. It has been recently remodeled and redecorated.
Healdsburg is a popular small town with over 100 wineries in the area. Restaurants, bakeries and cafes are abundant. A weekly Farmer's Market with locally sourced produce takes place near the downtown plaza. There are also year round cultural activities, including art and music, as well as sport options.
  • We had a great time at this beautiful property surrounded by vineyards with easy access to the freeway and close to Healdsburg. Perfect for two people who are wine tasting and plan to eat out. We booked a private tasting with the neighbors at MoniClaire where we were greeted and treated by Peter (highly recommended). Be sure to stop by Mazzacco down the street where they have a Pony Zin made from the grapes grown at the Pony Ranch (all their zins were delish!). We'll be back.

    Roy2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Pony Ranch! Everything was as described and Laurie and Robert were great hosts!

    Erica2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay at a beautiful, peaceful place! Laurie and Robert were great! Only tiny issue was that wifi signal was quite poor which made it challenging during our winery research but as we were in the middle of the vineyards, we could manage without it. Thanks so much!

    Hayley2015-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience, and what a great way to start out! Laurie and Robert were excellent hosts. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and very well appointed. Laurie lined us up with private tastings at two neighboring wineries, including one that uses grapes from her vineyard. They also made great restaurant recommendations. This is a great place to stay as a base for exploring the Dry Creek Valley and surrounding area. We would not hesitate to stay here again when we return to the area.

    Joe2015-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie and Robert have a gorgeous property in a fantastic location in the Dry Creek Valley. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. They were very accommodating and we really felt like we were in our own place even though they were home most of the time. Their gorgeous vineyard is right outside the door of the guest cottage. It was very serene and peaceful and just a stone's throw from amazing wineries.

    Monica2015-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and natural.

    Matteo2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This guest house was perfect for our visit to the wine valleys. All things were perfectly represented in the pics and description. We were very comfortable and loved the gas stove to take the chill out at night. We loved having our privacy but felt good that there was at least someone close by if we needed anything. Laurie was an easy hostess that responded quickly and thoroughly. We were planning to eat out at night and appreciated Laurie's recommendations. When we were looking for a place to book we were concerned about the proximity to the airport. Noise was not an issue at all. It's a tiny airport and I think we may have heard one small plane in the three days that we were there. We had a rental car and enjoyed the remoteness of this little guest house but were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were able to get to Healdsburg and Geyserville. This was a well done Airbnb that I can easily recommend!

    Jennifer2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The location is fantastic and right in the middle of the Dry Creek region. The nice perks of free tastings at both Mazzocco and Wilson were really great. Since it is right between Geyserville and Healdsburg, you could not have a better location. We loved to quietness and cleanliness of the room. The bathroom sink is pretty small, but that is a minor thing. We would definitely stay again.

This uniquely constructed cob Gingerbread House at the Isis Oasis Retreat Center is very cozy inside. It is decorated with stained glass windows with LED lights inside the glass. Close access to the pool. Tours of the exotic animals on the property available. Just a 3 minute walk to a great café called Geyserville Mud, and a 10 minute walk to the river. Come ready for an Earthen adventure!
  • DeTraci and everyone at the retreat center were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had a wonderful time exploring! Art is everywhere here. The bed in the Gingerbread House was very comfortable and the detailed accents were much appreciated. Thank you so much for hosting me! :-)

  • Had a really nice time at the gingerbread house. Very nice people and loved the swimming pool and hot tub. Defiantly will stay there again. Had a great tour of the cats and birds.

  • We were very welcomed. Nice hot tub and pool. Quiet mellow night.

    Mikey2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our host was great to help us find the place, and feel welcome. The place is very cool, quiet and comfortable. Our room is very clean. We had a wonderful stay. Although we are a bit disappointed when we found out the ginger bread house was overbooked, our host made all the effort to arrange a nice and unforgettable stay at the compound. We also got a very nice tour the next day inside the gingerbread house. My daughter was very happy and thankful for the special tour.

    Weigang2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the gingerbread house was really special. Loreon's property had something for each of us to enjoy--we loved the pool and hot tub and particularly the exotic cat and bird sanctuaries. The cob structures and sculptures made by Miguel really embellished the experience, and it was so nice when Miguel personally introduced himself to us and the rest of Loreon's staff also welcomed us warmly. We were disappointed that the hot tub was not working but we understand that a lot of improvements are presently being made on the property. It was really cool to be able to visit such a unique sanctuary just about 1.5 hours from San Francisco.

    Lu2013-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the gingerbread house was truly a unique experience. The entire compound is magical. Exploring the grounds was a treat; tons of exotic animals to admire and serene nooks to enjoy the scenery. Check-in and out was as easy as it can get. Bed was comfortable! Outdoor shower was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

    Jamie2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my brief stay at the Gingerbread house and highly recommend this accommodation for its eclectic uniqueness. Miguel was a fantastic host throughout the entire experience. He was very welcoming and set everyone up with delicious make-your-own pizzas that were heated in an outdoor wood-oven. Lots of fun!

    Jason2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Interesting place. Outdoor shower with hot water was appreciated. There was a fan in the house so the earlier guest's comment about the house being warm has been resolved. It was plenty cool.

  • This is a comfortable cottage on the outskirts of Healdsburg with lots of small, thoughtful and charming touches. The other reviews capture the care and pride of the hosts. They provided far more than they “had” to .. and they did it with class. I recommend this place it onlyn”without hesitation”, but “with enthusiasm”.

  • Concur with prior reviews, Blake's place had everything we needed. Great location, every amenity that we could want, nice extra touches with the eggs, flowers, and local information. Beds were comfortable. Space heaters in both bedrooms, extra towels and linens. Blake really thinks of every need. Thanks!

  • This is a perfect spot in Healdsburg!! It was a great weekend getaway for two couples. We enjoyed drinking our wine we had acquired from wine tasting in the backyard while we BBQing our dinner. Gorgeous grape vines in the backyard !

  • The location of Healdsburg Garden House makes it an excellent home base for wine adventures. Less than 10 minutes by car to Healdsburg square and central to a number of destinations. The two-bedroom house and full-sized kitchen was almost TOO big for two people, allowing us to spread out comfortably. The furniture was relaxing, perfect for relaxing after a long day of wine tasting. On property parking was adjacent to the unit and very convenient. Blake communicated promptly was very accommodating for our early arrival.

You will have no problem finding an incredible scenic winery along Dry Creek Road or Alexander Valley. Ask for complementary tasting passes!
  • Kate was extremely welcoming. We gave her an estimated time of arrival, contacted her as soon as we reached town, and she was there to meet us upon arrival. The extra touches of her enthusiasm, the music playing in the cabin, the snacks and water on the counter, and her suggestions for places to eat, how to operate lights, etc in the space were very much appreciated. The cabin is cute, clean and has the most amazing view! We relaxed in the chairs in the front under the trees and in the back enjoying the view. Thanks Kate for a wonderful stay!

    Cathy2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's cabin is excellent. It is very close to town and less than an hour drive to the redwoods and the coast. What a great home base for a week in wine country. It's clear Kate takes great pride in hosting, and we appreciated every bit of hospitality. Other perks: the hot tub, lush property, killer views, large grill, great privacy, and comfy bed. Thanks again, Kate!

    Ryan2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing stay and would love to return when it isn't so rainy -though it was also lovely in the rain. A very peaceful place with a gorgeous view out the back! Kate and her husband were very helpful and nearby to answer questions or for help.

    Kristin2017-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend staying at this cabin. It has great amenities (BBQ, hot tub) and is so close to the river where you can go for a swim. Kate was very welcoming and was there to greet us upon arrival. The cabin is close to Healdsburg square, but we loved just hanging out at the cabin enjoying the great views and good weather. Very nice weekend getaway from San Francisco and we plan to be back!

    Catherine2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I was really excited when I booked this place a few months back, and was still pleasantly surprised by how amazing it was when we arrived. It's nicely decorated, and the property and views are stunning. We walked just a few minutes down to the river and had a whole beach to ourselves when we arrived. Kate was a gracious host, making t easy for us to check in early and being extremely accommodating and responsive when we had a hot tub issue. We loved our weekend away, it was a perfect anniversary trip.

    Em2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic! The cabin was adorable, clean, cozy, and had amazing views! Kate was extremely friendly and helpful; providing plenty of recommendations of things to do and places to eat/drink in Healdsburg. I loved the cabin's location towards the top of Fitch Mountain. The walk into town was about a mile and a half and was lovely. I would definitely recommend this place to stay when visiting Healdsburg!

    Jessica2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • A magical cabin near the river. Great location near downtown, it makes it easy to take a break after wine tasting and before going out for dinner. Super views of vineyards, which we enjoyed during our breakfasts. Kate was a very responsive host, and provided everything we needed. The bed could use some updating.

    Elisabeth2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's communication on check in day was great! We were able to get in a little wine tasting on dry creek road before heading over to the place. Kate greeted us upon arrival and gave great suggestions for how fully utilize the place, also how and where to go. The place was perfect for a weekend retreat "to the country" with cabin-like details everywhere from the wood paneling, fire place, BBQ, to the "wine dogs" coffee table book. Really just perfect for us. The location was good for ubering around, really easy to get everywhere. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have a relaxing visit to Healdsburg.

Enjoy the magic of the redwoods and the beauty of the Russian River in our rustic hilltop cabin. Come for fresh air, comfort, quiet, charm, simple and beautiful design, and river time.
“Camp Noon" was built over 100 years ago. We fell in love at first sight and have spent the last year restoring it to preserve its historic features and renovating for some modern comforts and design. Unlike your typical Russian River getaway, our property is in a clearing so we have lots of sun overhead. We named it Camp Noon to evoke summer days when the sun is high and there's plenty of time. It's a gem! The cabin is a work in progress, with a blend of new features: a Scandinavian wood burning stove, skylights, Heath tile in the bathroom, modern white walls, brand new beds and bedding, and older features like the raw redwood floors, board and batten paneling, 50s formica countertops and a huge claw foot tub. Please note that the cabin is very old -- single wall construction, gaps in the floorboards -- our guests should expect a rustic experience. The front room of the house is a large, open space, with cathedral ceilings, and three skylights that illuminate the house during the day and allow for stargazing at night. The wood burning stove warms up the room in the winter time, and you'll find plenty of places to curl up and relax. We have a record player, records, books, and games to keep you entertained. The cabin has two bedrooms, each one with a new full size bed that sleeps 2. There's room for one more in the living room on the daybed. Each bedroom has soft linens and cozy blankets. The bathroom has a large beautiful claw foot tub and newly installed Heath tiles. The kitchen is a wonderful place for everyone to congregate, with three large picture windows that look out onto the redwoods. Enjoy lively meals at the large farm table. We have an electric stove and a brand new refrigerator and toaster oven. The back yard is great for bbque's, with comfy chairs and a hammock. We have fairy lights set up in the back, perfect lighting for an evening outside. The front porch is the crown jewel. Swing on the hammock, sip morning coffee, read on the couch, and listen to the crickets on summer nights. The porch has a treehouse feel. We also have stacks of fluffy blankets to curl up with if it's cold out. The cabin is fully stocked with eco-friendly, good-smelling shampoo, soaps, dish soap, hand soap, candles, and bath salts. We love this stuff and if you do too, you'll be happy. We also have toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, spare light bulbs, q-tips, trash bags, and sponges. The bath towels are soft and new and 100% cotton. Same with the sheets on the beds. Please bring your own beach towels. FALL The Russian River is magical in the fall. The crowds thin and it's very peaceful. The morning fog is fresh and the forest is quiet. The river is still navigable by canoe through October and during the week you might have the whole stretch of it to yourselves. The nights are cooler -- perfect for building a fire in the wood burning stove, with the firewood we provide. SUMMER The summer days can range in temperature from 75-100 degrees, with nights much cooler, in the 50s and 60s. While the beach in Summerhome Park is exclusive (members-only), there are 3 public beaches within a mile of the cabin: Mother's Beach, Steelhead Beach, and Sunset Beach. We provide rafts, a beach umbrella, and a 1-person kayak for our guests. WINTER In the winter, the neighborhood is very quiet. If you're seeking solitude in the redwoods, you'll find it here. The forest can be chilly, damp, and foggy but the cabin is equipped to keep you warm: ***WE HAVE HEAT*** -- a brand new, high-efficiency furnace that warms the cabin. The cabin is very old, uninsulated and definitely drafty but we try to provide amenities to keep you cozy. Winter rates are lower because of the cold weather. SPRING The forest air is fresh and rejuvenating, the neighborhood is quiet, and the river is still wild from winter. You probably won't be able to swim in the river until the early summer, but it can still be enjoyed from the shore. vity! You are welcome to eat and drink at The Lodge on the river. The beach! Camp Noon is just a 5 minute drive to Mother's Beach, a bit further to Sunset Beach, and about 20 mins to Steelhead Disclaimer: The place is a hundred years old and the renovation is still a work-in-progress, so there are still some quirks and rough edges: The wood floors are raw and have been through a lot, some of the windows stick, and the kitchen floor has original laminate from the 40s. If things like that sound like "rustic charm," this house is for you, if they sound like offensive hazards, probably not. The cabin isn’t necessarily kid-friendly but many families have made it work by being vigilant with little ones.
Although Sonoma County has grown up around it, this neighborhood is tucked into the woods, with a nostalgic summer-camp feeling. The weekdays and the off season are very peaceful.
  • Camp Noon is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. An easy walk to the river and around the neighborhood. We had a wonderful time. The house is decorated impeccably with such attention to detail.

  • Cottage was really fun to stay at. Very clean and organized. My friends and I relaxed had a few beers and listened to vinyl records on vintage phonograph in the living room. If you want to get away from it all I highly recommend this

  • Camp noon feels a little bit like stepping back in time. Our favorite feature of the cabin was the record player in the front room! If you want to take a breather from your hectic life and unplug and relax then this is the place to go! Lauren and Aylin are great hosts and very prompt in their communication. Definitely recommended.

  • Camp Noon is such a super cute and cozy home. The pictures on the website do not do justice at all. As I first walked inside, I felt like I was stepping into an Anthropologie store or photo shoot- the theme of the house was boho, rustic, chic which also happens up to be my taste as well. In fact, I was encouraged to redecorate my own place lol! (You The home was warm welcoming with lots of natural sunlight and pretty clean as well. The bathrooms were stocked up with toiletries and fresh towels along with comfy, warm linens. Overall, my stay was a wonderful experience and wouldn't mind checking in again. Another bonus was that we were able to check in earlier than the regular time which was awesome.

    Jamie2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Camp Noon is simply magical! It looks even better in real life. Some tips: 1. Don't arrive at night - it's pretty freaky to drive up the narrow roads in the dark, especially if you have a large car. 2. If you're planning on cooking, the kitchen is not super well equipped with spices. Hit up a Wholefoods or Safeway before coming up. 3. Bbq-ing in the backyard is pretty awesome. Buy a bag of coal and have a ton of fun 4. It's really amazing to turn on the fireplace, and lie on the couches and the floor wrapped up in blankets. Try camping there for a night - simply magical to wake up to the misty forest. 5. The tub. Run a bath please!

  • we LOVED our stay! The hosts were accommodating about additional guests and communicative about little questions that came up. The cabin & decor are so charming, & the location and the community there are really special! Private member beach access and redwood trees everywhere. We really would like to make it a family tradition to come and stay here during the summer, so we hope you are still renting out the cabin next year! Can't wait to come back!

    Jennifer2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend spent last weekend decompressing at Camp Noon. We really couldn't be more happy with our stay. Everything was exactly as it appears in the listing. Drinking local beer, listening to records on the record player, and dancing after a home cooked dinner is a memory I will never forget. We are already planning our next trip to stay at Lauren and Aylin's perfect Redwood Forest hideout.

    Aaron2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Camp Noon was a delight to stay in. The rustic decor and large sunny rooms provided an inviting and peaceful atmosphere. The hosts provided us with clear, concise instructions and encouraged us to enjoy ourselves. We were happy to find all the kitchen essentials and many bathroom towels. During the day we lounged on the outdoor patio and took turns in the hammock. At night we played board games in the dining room and played some classic LPs on the record player. We loved Camp Noon and would definitely visit again.

Private & serene with private beach; gorgeous, sunny, modern, rustic, cozy, magical and lush 1.5 acre riverfront property on the Russian River, with panoramic river view, boats, hot tub, hammocks, fireplace, serious kitchen, fruit trees/vines & wildlife. Perfectly situated for Healdsburg visits. 15 seconds from the river. 5 min from the best Russian River Valley AVA Appellation wineries. 20 miles from the spectacular Sonoma Coast. Only 60 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge. Dog friendly too.
This gorgeous property is located right on the Russian River and is very close to legendary wineries, redwoods and Sonoma coast beaches. The property has a REAL BEACH (sand and pebbles) which is quite rare for the Russian River. Also very rare: The property is large, private and very sunny. The house has real character, simplicity and style. It is small and cozy (but has a serious kitchen and a huge tile shower). The neighborhood and locals are funky/colorful/eccentric, which is not rare at all around here. Most guests describe the property as magical. The house is beautiful, light, airy, modern, rustic, simple, minimal and serene. The decks are perfect for sunning, outdoor dining and drinking. The beach is perfect for swimming, playing, boating (kayaks and canoe provided) and just soaking in the sun, river and scenery. The yard is lush and private and dotted with fruit trees, a tiny vineyard, a spa, hammocks and a fire pit. This is a perfect romantic getaway or a place to indulge yourself while also thrilling your kids and dog (bring your own-neither provided). Inside the house, you'll find redwood ceilings, fir floors, skylights and dozens of wood windows (all with gorgeous views, including the river). The house has almost every single detail covered. It is appointed and equipped like a home, not like a hotel or typical vacation rental. The house has: striking mid century furniture, a very comfy queen bed and a fully equipped serious kitchen w/gas cooktop. There is also a wood burning stove, serious stereo (connect wirelessly with your devices), 50Mbs WiFi, TV/DVD and gas heat. Please note that bookings cannot start or end on a Saturday (this breaks up the weekend). Also note that summer bookings (July-September) are typically 1 week long. Exceptions will be made on a case to case basis- Feel free to ask... The house opens to two decks (furnished with gas grill, dining tables and lounge chairs) overlooking the yard, the river and beyond. Moving outside, the house is framed by fruit trees (plum, apple, fig, pear, orange, etc), olive trees, grape vines and bay laurels. Adjacent to the house is a fire pit and a tomato/herb garden. Moving towards the river, the orderly yard gives way to fertile riparian habitat- gently rolling grassy meadow with native willow/elder/maple/cottonwood trees surrounding a shaded hammock. Descend a little further and the sandy riverbank draped with willows and wild CA grapes leads to a sand and pebble beach carved by the waters of the glorious Russian River. The beach frontage is very deep and is 135 feet long. It has gorgeous views up and down the redwood-lined river as well as a striking view of the Hacienda Bridge. The river is shallow and calm in the summer (perfect for boating or tubing- canoe, kayaks and innertubes provided), but in the winter, the river grows immensely (depth and width) and dramatically thunders to life. I named the beach after the first white guy to settle this neighborhood. His name was Cosmo (not riverfront sanctuary). The Russian River is home to ducks, great blue herons, osprey, hawks, foxes, river otters, deer, mountain lions and and wild turkeys as well as salmon, steelhead, bass, sturgeon, hippies, hipsters and hillbillies. The property itself is very sunny (no redwoods), yet has shade trees (with hammocks) for comfort in the summer. The air is scented with bay leaves, lemon balm, fennel, mugwort, redwood and orange blossoms. Summer is hot and lush, but the water in the river is the perfect temperature for cooling. On winter mornings the sun rises through river fog wisping through the hills and between the redwoods, which typically burns off by 10am leaving sun and clear skies. The nights are cool all year round, which is why the local wine is so good (and so necessary!). The night skies are dark and dotted with stars- unless there is a full moon, which bathes the river in light and makes you wonder why you would ever want to be anywhere else (note -added lunar taxes & surcharges are applicable). Amenities: ~ THE BEACH! ~ THE RIVER! ~ 1.5 acre property ~ Hot tub ~ Wood burning stove ~ Gourmet kitchen ~ Gas cooktop ~ Gas grill ~ Fire Pit ~ Canoe and 2 Kayaks ~ Hammocks ~ Dozens of windows and skylights ~ Gas Heat ~ Washer/Dryer ~ Fruit trees/grape vines ~ Tomato & herb garden ~ Dog friendly ~ 2 decks with shaded dining Table ~ Very sunny ~ River and Bridge views ~ 50 Mbs WiFi ~ Orthopedic Queen bed ~ Super comfy/supportive Sofa bed ~ Queen airbed ~ Luxurious linens ~ TV/DVD ~ Audiophile Stereo with Apple Airplay and CD and cassette players.
A block away (downstream) is Sunset Beach State Park with several beaches and trails. Hacienda beach is 200 feet upstream. 2 blocks upstream is the infamous Mom's Beach. A block away in yet another direction (we have 4 of them) is Westside Road (a Wine Country landmark), which follows the river and meanders through scores of some of the best wineries in the world (ending up in wonderful Healdsburg). Away from the river are mysterious majestic redwood covered hills that eventually lead to the dramatic rocky Sonoma coast with its beautiful and dramatic rocky cliffs and beaches. The neighborhood has unusual diversity: retired hippies, hillbillies, hipsters, new agers, families, craftspeople, generations of Italians, tweakers, workers and coders. Don't be scared off by any of the above- we all seem to get along quite well (except the crazy attorney with the foul mouth across the street). The area has great restaurants, farms, wineries and artisan food makers of all sorts. The scenery in Sonoma county is unprecedented- redwoods, lakes, rolling hills, lagunas and especially the river and the coast. See the House Manual for specific recommendations for places to visit, shop, eat and drink. Also check out (website hidden) pages of 101 Things To Do in Sonoma County and Russian River Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center.
  • Our second time staying at Jay's Forestville retreat was as great as the first. It is a beautifully designed house in a spectacular setting. Highly recommended if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

  • Hi Jay, My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at your Russian river retreat. The house was easy to get to and your instructions were very easy to follow. The River and the private beach were wonderful, as we enjoyed the refreshing water for many hours. Your house is beautiful and the grounds were so peaceful and relaxing. Resting in the hammocks, gazing at the numerous stars in the night sky was amazing. House was very comfortable and listening to the river was very relaxing. Didn't see Willis this time. We would very much like to come back for a longer stay when the weather is a little warmer. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful home. Sincerely, Bruce and Ivy.

    Bruce2015-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what an amazing place. The setting really is spectacular and it's the perfect location to explore the Russian River area. Jay was a perfect host leaving very detailed instructions and also recommendations for the local area. Would definitely recommend.

  • Wow, amazing place, perfect experience. Overall, our stay was so quiet, beautiful, private, and serene. It was wonderful to walk for a minute down the hill and get to the river where we could watch birds or canoes floating by. One night, we ate a delicious tomato and basil salad from Jay's lovely garden. The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed. It was a treat to cook a great dinner then eat it out on the deck, watching the trees, birds, and sunset. The manual from Jay was very helpful and provided all the info we needed for the house, as well as great suggestions for the surrounding area (fruit stands, restaurants, etc). So great, I miss it already!

    Andrea2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a wonderful spot on the river and close to a million wineries. We loved going for morning canoe rides looking for the blue herons, eating our dinners on the deck at dusk watching the deer in the backyard, and winding down with his kickass music collection at night. Jay was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay with any questions/issues we had. Time flew by much too fast. We'd be back in a heartbeat.

    Andy Amanda2015-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had all the information we needed hand then some when we arrived at Jay's beautiful house. The house was clean and well stocked. He had thought of everything we might need and totally forgot- extra blankets, shampoo, a juicer, coffee filter. We enjoyed taking the baby to the river and spending hours bird watching. We didn't take full advantage of the spa but it's in a nice location in his garden.

    Laura-Star2015-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience -- Jay's place was beautiful, clean and well stocked. We had a good time enjoying the scenery and watching one of the many movies Jay has in his collection. A memorable experience!

    Sachit2014-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jay's sanctuary was exactly that for a weekend away from San Francisco. It was a much needed rainy weekend, so we did not have a chance to enjoy the hot tub and outdoor areas too much, but we're looking forward to an opportunity to return during the warmer seasons. The kitchen is capable for preparing any meal, the sound systems and music collection we're great, and every other accommodation was on point. Thank you again!

  • This house was *perfect* for my friend's bachelorette weekend. The place was even better than we could have imagined! The bedrooms, kitchen, and living room are big, clean, and well decorated. We had lots of counter space to make dinner together, and the outdoor patio was wonderful for eating. We were also able to spread out and play board games on the couches and floor. Johnny even called afterward to let me know that we had left our CDs. Thanks for giving us a space for the perfect weekend!

    Molly2014-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a last minute booking for us and it ended up working out great. The beds were comfy, and the large kitchen and deck space were the perfect place for us to gather. We grilled both nights and enjoyed the music at the roadhouse and the beautiful surroundings. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, making it easy to stay in and cook both nights. The location was close to wine tasting and river access. The only issue was 1.5 bathrooms for a group our size was a little tight, but it was fine. Thanks for a great stay, Johnny!

  • My friends and I stayed one night at this cozy little house to celebrate a birthday. It was a great location! We drove two minutes to Korbel and two minutes to Stumptown to enjoy some midday drinks. While it is not on the river, river access is quick and easy. It is also right around the corner from the Rio Nido Roadhouse which had a lively, local vibe that we LOVED. The house was clean and cozy with a big, beautiful deck where we spent most of our time, BBQing and enjoying the nice weather. Communication was great and check-in/out were smooth and easy!

The cabin is very clean and comfortable on 1 acre filled with 180' majestic fir trees, landscaped with rhododendrons and azaleas that bloom from Jan to June, a winter waterfall nestled against the back side of the canyon, and a guarantee of privacy and peace.
The small town of Forestville is packed with interesting shops and eateries. The Russian River is a 10 minute walk offering sunning/canoeing/and fishing. The ocean is 40 minutes away with many small towns of interest along the way and wineries everywhere. San Francisco is 1 1/2 hr., San Francisco Intl. and Oakland airports are 2 hrs. depending on traffic, and Santa Rosa airport - 30 min.
  • Such a great location and beautiful environment, loved it. Thank you Sherri for being a wonderful host!

    Tracy2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri was a very kind and accommodating host and we had a really sweet stay. We were so grateful for our experience, she offered us everything we could imagine for our vacation in Forestville and her restaurant recommendations were spot on! The place was cozy and beautiful (I have to admit I was thrown off a bit by the deer blanket in the pictures, but the decor was homey and comfortable.) We were pleasantly surprised by some mist/sprinklings on our second evening, and the sound of the rain on the forest around us was so peaceful. If you do request kitchen access, be sure to bring everything but the kitchen sink/stove/oven. She provides pots & pans, a knife, cutting board, and basic cutlery and plates, but you'll need to bring your own oil, spices, butter etc. like if you were camping! The kitchen was easy to use though, and the cooking space is nice. I definitely recommend making the drive to the beach and doing the redwood hike. We enjoyed the sitting area within the cabin and the one just outside our door. It was truly a lovely experience. Thank you for everything Sherri, hope to see you again!

    Hannah2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what you're looking for a cabin surrounded by redwoods and Sherri's very beautiful floral arrangements! All of the amenities are great, especially the provision of a coffee maker :)

    Tiffany2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Small, private, cozy cabin! Perfect for a quiet getaway :)

    Tchantz2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin is super cute and cozy. Tucked away in the redwoods and very comfortable. Definitely get the directions from Sherri ahead of time and come in daylight. We had no problem finding it again later at night but it helps to have seen the landmarks already. Heater works great, bed is comfortable, shower is good and has a tiny little kitchen area with coffee and soda/water provided. Wifi works great. Sherri was very easy to communicate with and very friendly. She leaves you tons of maps of wineries and the area as well as menus for local restaurants. Highly recommended!

    Maggie2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri is a lovely host. She shared food and cookies with us, which is so much more than what I had expected from an AirBnB host! She has become a friend! When I mentioned wanting to check out some neighboring trails, she printed out a map for me and marked her home and some landmarks on it for easy navigation. Don't worry, if you prefer privacy, she will respect that, but if you would take the time to get to know the person who is sharing her home with you, you'll walk away with a wonderful friendship and maybe a beautifully planted clivia in a flower pot. Every little component of the cabin has her artistic touch to it, with handmade stained glass lamps and hand painted animals on the window pane. I loved hanging outside the cabin. Every morning Sherri laid out cushions on the chairs outside and table cloth on the outdoor table. I listened to music, read, and ate food outside, enjoying the view of Sherri's plants and decorations. Really nice & peaceful. It's a cozy cabin in the woods. You can hear the birds and smell the flowers. But you'll get great wifi if you need to stay connected. Don't expect too much cell phone reception, though. Make sure to check out Nightingale Bakery near the pharmacy. They have delicious sourdough and rosemary focaccia. Next door to the bakery is a Zinfandel wine tasting room, which is pretty cool. There's a grocery store 10 minutes away (you can walk there). The trail behind the pharmacy is cute, but it's not a walk in the forest. It winds down through farms and neighborhoods and sometimes you have to cross the road, so if you're looking for hiking, this isn't a trail for you. It's a residential area and you're not secluded from the world. You will see neighbors roaming around and stuff, but it's still a great getaway spot.

  • Sherri was a fabulous host and her cabin is a hidden gem. Sherri was great at communicating before our arrival and made sure she was home to greet us. Her cabin is quaint and airy. All of the windows allowed you to lay in bed and look out onto the incredible property. Surrounded by woods, redwoods, and the sound of birds I felt like I was in a magical space. Sherri gave me a small tour of the property and I was in awe at the natural beauty of her home and land. I wish I would have stayed longer but now I can just come back when the waterfall is flowing and the leaves are changing! Thank you, Sherri!

    Nina2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful weekend away! The cabin was quiet, comfortable and well-maintained. It has the simple necessities for a great get-away trip to a beautiful location. There is so much to do in the area and Sherri has even more tips and ideas. Most importantly, Sherri is a gracious and kind host. She made sure I arrived safely, was comfortable, and had everything I needed. I enjoyed learning about her beautiful gardens as well!

  • Brigette's home is beautiful, clean, and VERY comfortable! It's obvious that she considered every detail detail when setting it up, from the separate beach towels and spa towels for guests to the bottle of Korbel and chocolate left out on the kitchen countertop to the sticks of incense left in a stone-filled pot on the back patio. The kitchen is well-appointed with a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge, juicer, pots and pans, utensils, towels, etc. and more, and the bathroom included soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The beds were clean and comfortable, too, with lots of pillows, and there are empty dressers and closets everywhere for folks who don't travel light. The back patio was my favorite part because of the barbecue grill, the spacious hammock, and THE HOT TUB which is clean and well-maintained. Brigette includes fun distractions like coloring books with gel pens and coloring pencils, an assortment of boardgames, and a variety of books. As someone who meditates and practices mindfulness, I especially appreciated her decor, which includes mandalas, peacock feathers, little Buddhas, and lots of plants. The home is a short drive from the main street in Guerneville (which has restaurants, cafes, shops, a large Safeway, and more). My husband and I had a great time relaxing here and would absolutely not hesitate to come back. Brigette definitely knows how to make an AirBnB experience super positive for her guests.^^

  • We had a great time!!! Love the road house swimming pool in walking distance from the house. The hot tub was a great added feature:-) Thank you!

  • Nama'Stay made me be like, "naw...imma stay" here! The place is adorable and had everything we needed. Brigette was super responsive and knowledgeable about places to eat and taste wine in the area. The shower was a bit cold in the morning, but the jacuzzi and lovely outdoor area make up for that. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would definitely return for an easy and comfortable weekend away.

  • Very pleasant stay at this apartment in Guerneville. Despite being out and about in wine country for the most part of each of the five nights we stayed we were comfortable staying here. The apartment is close to Healdsburg (our favourite wine spots in Sonoma) which cut down travelling time spent in a car :) Brigitte was great in providing recommendations on wineries and places to visit prior to our arrival. Further, Brigitte answered any questions I had promptly during our stay. If your looking for a cosy, clean apartment close to some of the best wineries in Sonoma then stay at Brigitte's place.

  • Had a great time staying here! Clean, quiet and everything worked great in the house! The wifi is quick too which is important since there is limited cell service. I highly recommend this place and will likely plan a repeat stay!

    Caeli2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Brigette! We had a great stay and really enjoyed our time. Road House had great food, drinks, staff, games, and was within walking distance! We loved the house and the hot tub.

    Cody2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment very pretty and large.

    Tony2016-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • A short drive to great wineries in the Russian River Valley. We liked stay amongst the trees, even if the houses are orrery close together in Rio Nido. The hot tub was a great addition for a Fall stay & Brigette was easy & quick to communicate throughout the booking process.

Large luxury estate loft in Gracianna Winery's vineyard on Westside Road's Miracle Mile in Healdsburg includes equipped kitchen. House truth: Vineyard machines may be in working overnight with lights & disruptive noises, especially during harvest. While it adds to the charm, it can be difficult to sleep. We are a County permitted agricultural farm stay requiring that we offer guests opportunities to learn about our agriculture operation.
A Two for One (2/1) wine tasting is included in your stay at the Tasting Room between 11AM and 5PM daily. ($25 value) Has kitchen with cooking utensils and full size refrigerator and stove. You can walk to the edge of the Russian River in one minute and have coffee on the big deck at the back of the vineyard in the morning fog. (The deck does not overlook the river and there is no river access.) There are picnic tables out there that you can enjoy. From your patio you will overlook the Mercedes Riverblock pinot noir vineyard on the Miracle Mile of Westside Road. More about the location: At 6914 Westside Road, only seven miles southwest of downtown Healdsburg, Gracianna is one of the Russian River Valley's most intimate family-owned and operated wine estates. Gracianna is on what the locals call "The Miracle Mile" and is owned by the Amadors of Sonoma County. Gracianna Winery is in the midst of natural beauty, family-designed estate buildings and gardens, a storied history, and a reputation for classic award-winning Russian River wines that reflect our craftsman approach. Our unique terroir and ideal Russian River Valley micro-climate support our farming practices. The Amador's estate pinot noir vineyard, the Mercedes Riverblock, is planted to the pinot clone 115 from Dijon, France right on the banks of the Russian River. We believe that Gracianna symbolizes everyday gratitudes and graciousness in entertaining, because we believe that successfully hosting a special meal with friends and family is an everlasting circle that fills our lives.
Healdsburg has some of the finest restaurants in Sonoma County. In or near the Square, We recommend Guiso - Latin Fusion food, The Dry Creek Kitchen, Valette, Campo Fina, Baci and Willi's Seafood are a few we recommend. Feeling adventurous? Head to Geyserville to Diavola for dinner- let us get you reservations but please book in advance. You will have no problem finding a scenic winery along Westside Road or head up to the warmer Dry Creek Valley. Stop at Dukes Bar at the Healdsburg Square and tell Tara (one of the owners) that we sent you. • Amazing spot, you are able to walk through the vineyards and use various seating outside to hang out after a day of wine tasting in the area. Clean space. Great hosts.

    Joseph2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were warmly welcomed by Amanda at the tasting room upon arrival, given the unit key to get settled and offered a complimentary tasting of Gracianna Winery wines. Trini (owner) happened to be onsite and welcomed us personally as well. We were encouraged to enjoy the property; walked around the vineyard with our morning coffee (provided in the unit), enjoyed the goats across the road and Ricky, the on-site cat. We met Hannah (hospitality mgr) a few days into our stay and she was helpful in recommending a few nearby wineries we hadn't previously visited. Parking is convenient right next to the studio and motion-sensing lights make it easy to find your way up the steps if you return after dark.

  • The host canceled this reservation 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Nice location with gracious hosts. Very friendly and easy to communicate with and our check in and out couldn't have been easier. lovely vineyard location - we really enjoyed taking a walk to see the grapes in full fall color as well as wine tasting in the tasting room below the studio. Kitchen was stocked with coffee and creamer. Basic cooking implements, no microwave. About 15 minutes to Healdsburg for the closest restaurants, gas station, etc. Definitely recommend!

    Sarah2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Trini was the perfect host providing us with his personal cell number in case we needed anything. We we're on our wedding anniversary and it was extra special thanks to Trini!

    Renée2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Gracianna was pivotal to our mother-daughter weekend. We arrived on a Saturday evening after making our way up through Sonoma. Trini welcomed us with a hug and a glass of wine, it felt like coming to visit family even though we had just met. The loft overlooks the vineyard and is airy and open. It is simply gorgeous watching the sun rise over the vineyard or sitting outside the tasting room in the evening as the air begins to cool. The bed was a-ma-zing.. like sleeping on a cloud, and you have all the amenities of home. Located on Westside Drive, you’re smack dab in the middle of some of the most amazing little wineries and it’s not too hard to get an Uber or Lyft into Healdsburg either. There were great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, and Trini even went above and beyond helping us arrange massages at the last minute! One of the highlights of our trip was meeting Trini IV (Cyndee and Trini’s son), the winemaker and the reason the family got into the wine making business, as Trini will tell you. We had a fabulous dinner our first night at Modrano Manor, right up the road. The second night, we made reservations at Guiso for dinner. We can not recommend this place enough! Aylin, who works at the tasting room at Gracianna, is also fiancée to Carlos, the insanely talented chef and owner at Guiso. They are the sweetest people and the food is out of this world. Be sure to make a reservation to go visit them the next time you’re in Healdsburg! We cannot wait to visit Cyndee and Trini and the Gracianna family again.

    Liz2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The farm is a family-run business and the personal touch is evident throughout. You will wake up to the sun rising over the Gracianna vineyards; wine for people who have something to be grateful for. The farm is an inspiring space to relax, cook in the quintessential kitchen and star gaze with local wine in hand. The experience contributed to the most memorable part of our trip to California.

Imagine yourself relaxing in this lovely private rental approximately 1 mile from downtown Healdsburg. The property has a flourishing garden available for your picking pleasure while the veggies and fruit are in season. If you are so inclined, your fresh produce can be prepared in the completely furnished kitchen and enjoyed on the outside patio tables available for your dining experience. If cooking is not your forte, the number of local restaurants feature some of the top notch chefs in the area. The downtown square is within walking or bicycling distance with two available cruisers on site for your use. The queen size bed and comfortable living room will be a welcome relief after a long day of wine tasting in the region. If you can not enjoy this wonderful area without your furry companion, this is a dog friendly studio with a large fenced area so Fido will be as comfortable as you are in your new home away from home. If the grapes allow, the home owner would love to share a glass of wine and talk about his second generation vineyard management experience in Sonoma County. Besides the 80+ wineries in renowned Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Wine Valleys, the Healdsburg community is also known for its antiques, natural beauty, and many fesitvals. Location is the key element in this getaway with San Francisco a mere 60 miles away, the Pacific Ocean a close 30 miles, and the Redwood State Park visited within 20 minutes. Popular weekends for the cottage include Winter Wine Land, Barrel Tasting Weekends, Dry Creek Passport Weekend, Taste of Alexander Valley, and Sonoma County Harvest Fair.

  • Erin and her place were perfect. It was a pretty cold weekend, but we were able to ride the bikes she provided into the quaint little town of Healdsburg. The dogs were a lot of fun and the room is nicely decorated, comfortable and a very luxurious bed.

    Jason And Dolly2012-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Erin's place. The check in/out process was very easy, everything in the cottage was incredibly clean, and the grounds are beautiful (even in January!) The dogs greeted us at our door every morning and got along very well with our dog, too. The bikes provided were especially great to get around town. Would definitely stay here again.

  • My boyfriend, our pup, and I stayed at Tom and Erin's cottage over the weekend and had the most incredible time. From the onset, they made us feel so welcome and were wonderful hosts providing us with food + wine tasting recommendations and fresh eggs from their hen coop (delicious!). Moose and Hurley, their friendly labs, greeted us with friendly faces and were a delight to play with every morning. The cottage was clean, cozy, and stocked full of everything we would need (pots, pans, spices, extra blankets and towels) for our stay. And the bed was amazing to relax in after a long day out. Highly, highly recommended and we wouldn't think twice about staying here again!

  • The Wine Country Cottage was everything and more! My wife, our dog, and I had GREAT stay at the Gore property. The Cottage was comfortable, spacious, and fulfilled all of our needs. Nice bed, great little kitchen, and clean modern bathroom. The outdoor area exceeded expectation -the garden, patio, and yard were terrific! Our dog Charlie had tons of space to explore and the Gore's dog Moose was super friendly. Although we didn't get to meet Erin, her husband Tom was very accommodating. He graciously gave us fresh eggs from the their chickens, pulled ripe vegetables from the garden, and even gave us a bonus of some ground pork from a local pig. (We made some great tacos the following night while camping at Redwoods National). We've been to Healdsburg several times before and stayed at hotels, but experiencing wine country staying at their airbnb was OUTSTANDING! Hope to Return. Kevin

  • Erin and her husband Tom were great hosts during our vacation to Healdsburg. The cottage was amazing and the location to everything Healdsburg Plaza has to offer were exactly as advertised. Thank you for providing base camp to memories that will last us a lifetime!

  • This was a great place with a great location and Erin was more than a gracious and helpful host. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area!

    Girolama2014-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at Erin's guesthouse! Both she and her husband Tom were so friendly and welcoming, giving us restaurant and winery recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. The guesthouse itself is adorable and comfortable (the bed especially) and the grounds of the property are stunning. My favorite part was being welcomed by their super-friendly Lab, Moose--I admit I wanted to take him home with me. It's very close to everything in town and just a short drive from some of the regions best wineries. I will definitely be back!

  • Sean's place was wonderful! He was a wonderful communicator from the beginning and was speedy in response time. The house is located right off the highway which was super convenient but also very quiet for as close as the street was. The house seemed like it was maybe new construction which was great, super clean and plenty of space for the 3 of us. The bed and the sofa bed were also very comfy!! And it was very close to downtown Healdsburg and wineries. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!

  • Cozy little cabin, out in the country. The place was well furnished. As noted, cell phone reception is weak, but Internet works great. Great place to relax. Irina wrote up long text with everything you need to about the neighbood. It was very handy! Only thing is the front door lock.. It can take a couple of times to get open. Otherwise, everything is in excellent condition and we would stay here again!

  • Felt right at home! Absolutely loved Irina's place. It is located among some amazing, tall trees and has a great porch to sit out and enjoy them. She was extremely welcoming and if I needed anything she would get back to me very quickly. The place was perfect for a getaway in Russian River. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this to others.

  • A sweet little getaway spot. Up in the evergreen trees, it's a scenic place to stay. It would be great for a little cabin-style vacation or for people looking to make day trips into Santa Rosa, Healdsburg, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Just one tip for people looking to stay anywhere in this area: Consider bringing bottled water. The tap water is not super tasty.

  • Cute condo in the redwoods was perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved that we were able to bring our dog- he loved the dog run down the street and hiking at Armstrong state park (just a short drive away). The condo had everything that we needed to be comfortable and Irina was a good host in the sense that all the information we needed was provided before we arrived and she was easy to get in touch with when we had a question. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Great host and home!

    Farbood2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home in Healdsburg! It’s a fantastic location and the hosts were very responsive and hospitable, bending over backwards to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The home is an easy drive to Napa and Sonoma, and of course to charming downtown Healdsburg. The hosts shared recommendations of local restaurants and things to do, which was so helpful! One thing to note: if you have a large group, read the listing carefully. This is a 3 bedroom home, not 4 bedroom as listed in the overview. There is a king bedroom, queen bedroom, and 2 twin bedroom upstairs, and the other queen bedroom actually is the library and the den, where there are pull out sofas. This was a surprise for our group of 4 couples. There are also no blinds or drapes in some of the bedrooms. We still had a fantastic stay, and can’t wait to visit Healdsburg again!

    Lauren2018-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and cool home. The owner was very responsive. We will stay there again!

  • This spot was top-notch! A beautiful home with great character in a fantastic location. We had an excellent time cooking, eating, playing games, and enjoying wine country. Mike facilitates everything with ease and provides a helpful welcome doc which covers all the essentials.

  • We had a friend's reunion of sorts for a wedding in Healdsburg. This house was an idyllic setting for cooking, wine tasting (and drinking), and simply taking the beautiful aesthetics and scenery. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

  • Good location to be among the wineries on Westside Rd, especially if you like Pinot and picturesque drive to the square. The house is on a gorgeous property with plenty of different places around the property to relax and have some wine. The garden was amazing; we prepared fresh veggies every night of our stay.

  • Check in and out was a breeze. This location was very rustic, but also the best price point in the area.

    Luke2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is exactly as advertised. Dezzy was easy to work with and we really enjoyed night's stay on our way to points further north. My wife and I found the place to be a great value.

    Joshua2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bathroom sink and floor not clean, towels dingy and kitchenware was old (except for knives) and some rusted and dirty spoons. Inside furniture was more like a thrift store than a rustic cottage. Nice neighborhood in the woods and easy to find and park. Communication about expctations were good. Lots of rules that we followed!

    Stephanie2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint wilderness cabin in the heart of the Russian River valley. Clean and well equipped. We were with our two kids, a little tight on space but adequate since we were out most of the time. Our highlights were blues band Guerneville free open air concert, canoeing down river with Burkes canoes, trip to Fort Ross, sunset at Jenner and walk in Armstrong National Park. We ate in most nights which was fine, large Safeways in Guerneville which is where you can also find many restaurants.

    Luke2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A simple and yet elegant rustic cottage. Surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of a neighborhood. Well placed location, easy to get to off the main road.

    Aaron2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dezzy's place is very cute, in a quiet natural setting. The cottage has a kind of antique-y feel to it but Dezzy has jazzed it up with great curtains and furniture. The bed is wonderfully soft. The kitchen is quite useable and Dezzy supplied condiments, fruit and spices. As someone who has to cook my meals for health reasons, I really appreciated this. I would stay here again if the opportunity arose. At the end of April, it was still cold at night. I found that the trick to heating the cottage is to turn the heater on well before dark. That way, it was toasty when I went to bed at which time I turned the heater off and used the extra blankets.

Just finished remodeling this incredibly cute studio, brand new everything. Sleeps 4 comfortably with a Murphy fold out full and a Murphy set of 2 twins bunk beds. Pool passes included, walk to river, playground, pool, tennis, Rio Nido roadhouse!
Lovely, new, adorable, cute!!!! Spacious yet comfortable, with beds that store up during the day and come down at night.
Walk to the river, swimming pool, mini golf, dog park, tennis court, and playground! Short drive to fine dining and shopping at Guerneville and to Armstrong woods. We are smack in the middle of Sonoma wine country, lots of wineries to try in any direction! Please note, this is a triplex and there are neighbors close by, so if you are looking for total privacy and seclusion, this is probably not the palce for you. As with any rental, you may have quirky neighbors, and unfortunately i have no cotrol over that.
  • Irina sent along info for our arrival timely and the accomadations were exactly as described. The place was cozy and clean. The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking with a Safeway grocery store close by. We chose to eat out since it was our vacation and found a few restaurants within 10 minute drive. The physical location of the apartment was the only negative feedback we have. Houses were packed in very close to each other and road to unit was narrow, bumpy and dark. There was one neighbor across the street who had a huge pet snake in their window that honestly freaked me out when I saw it on arriving the first night because it was dark and his cage was lit up with a red light. There was also 2 piles of dog poop at the entrance gate which was gross.

  • Clean and cozy domicile away from the noise and traffic of wine country. Despite being relatively small, the size was more than sufficient to make our stay comfortable and satisfy any possible creature comfort, including a hot tub.

    Jason2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was clean and cozy, next door to very gracious neighbors. Our maps steered is a little off course but it's easy to find just following the address number and it's tucked into a lovely wooded community. It was a good fit for four close friends to hang out together for a bachelorette weekend. Many thanks!

    Megarie2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in this adorable little place tucked in the redwoods. Wonderful to wake up and look out into those trees and down to the Hot tub below. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

    Will2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • The listing description for the neighborhood and overall property was not accurate. The property is in a very crowded neighborhood that did not seem overly safe. Upon checking into Irina's studio, there appeared to be a gas leak. The studio was cute but the smell seemed very dangerous. Irina was immediately available and sent her handyman who was very prompt. Apparently the cleaning crew had left a small burner on. While the handyman confirmed there was not an active leak, he also confirmed the smell seemed dangerous to sleep in. Irina was very kind to refund our payment immediately, but this was at 6:30 pm on a Friday night and we had no place to stay.

    Beth2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect for myself, my husband and our dogs. The backyard was also great for the dogs to run around and hang out. We wanted to use the hot tub but honestly we weren’t comfortable because the hot tub was close to the entrance of one of the other units. The rental was also part of a community of houses so there wasn’t as much privacy. Lastly, the water has an odor that kinda smells like rusted pipes. The odor is worse from the bathroom faucet. Bring jugs of water for drinking, brushing your teeth, washing your face/hands etc. as the water from the pipes leaves the odor on your skin.

    Monica2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Good affordable place. Communication good with host. Some amenities need to be purchased.

    Liz2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a cute little studio! The neighborhood is beautiful and seemingly remote, but very close to the river, stumptown brewery (get the brisket!). We had a great time staying here and Irina is a great host- the listing was true to the space, and she was very attentive to answer any questions. Thank you Irina!

Wine lovers take note! Stay overnight surrounded by vineyards at the ZO winery! Complimentary wine tasting included. Room #4 is upstairs and has a king-size bed and private bath. This room overlooks the rear of the property towards Dry Creek and the estate vineyards. ZO Wines Estate operates as an agricultural farmstay that offers guests opportunities to learn about the vineyard and winery and participate in wine country experiences. Sign ups available on our website. (Zowines)
About the room: "Sonoma Coast Room #4" has a king-size bed and private bath with a separate walk-in shower and a spa tub.
Dry Creek Valley hosts numerous vineyards and wineries and Healdsburg is one of the best little towns in America with various dining and shopping options.
  • The house itself is charming and spacious. The manager Tyler is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived he was there to welcome us and serve us a flight of Zo wines! You cannot beat staying in Dry Creek and being so close to Healdsburg. Would definitely recommend anyone looking to go wine tasting to stay here!

  • My girlfriend and I spent one night here in room 4 and loved it. All around great experience.

  • Chris is a great host! She's very warm and welcoming. We arrived late at the Inn but we walked in and found our room neat and waiting for us. Chris came by a few minutes after to make sure we were OK. The bed was lovely and comfortable. In the morning we were served a huge breakfast with an egg, sausage (i think) casserole thingy with salsa that was awesome - I nicknamed it the "Mexican Armada". In a town where hotels go for $250 and up, Chris' Inn stands out as an affordable, charming B&B in Healdsburg. I highly recommend staying here - just don't book out the room when we want to go! :-)

    Ross2014-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I are members at a local winery and were looking for a place to sleep after an event. We waited until the last minute to book something and were pleasantly surprised that Chris had availability at a reasonable sounding rate, near our event. We requested Michael's room. Chris was prompt to respond and transparent about availability. Only the cottage was available, we accepted. On the day of arrival, Chris reached out to us to find out out our ETA, and deliver good news that we would be in Michael's room after all, they had a last minute cancelation. She also said her son would be there to greet us, and they were actually in the process of moving out so there's not really any furnishings downstairs. Upon arrival we easily found Michael. There was an obvious moving sale in the front yard and the entry was empty (as advised). Michael was nice but really brief. I had to prompt him to find out where the room was and if we needed a key to get in later (we didn't). The house smelled more of pets than I expected. I didn't recall reading any reviews that mentioned the heavy pet smell. I thought it was long-term loved dog that may have been stirred up in the move, my husband thought it might be cat pee. There are hardwood floors throughout and it seemed like an old deep scent. All the windows were closed and it was hot and stuffy upstairs but I noted easy to open windows (newish compared to the age of the house) and anticipated that upon our return, we could sleep with fresh cool night air from open windows and the smell wouldn't be a deal breaker. It's an old house with a lot of character. The floors have a funky slope. The large adjoining bathroom in Michael's room is a highlight. We regret not asking about a WiFi password, it seemed there was a strong secure signal. The bed was large and comfortable, exactly as pictured, and it was a welcome place to crash while we slept off our wine consumption. No problems with communication, technically as advertised, but meh... I won't likely return in favor of seeing what else is out there. I wanted to love it, but I didn't.

  • Loved staying here! It felt like a true bed and breakfast in the heart of healdsburg. It was so close to wineries and downtown. I loved the horses and chickens on the property. If you're thinking of coming to healdsburg for a relaxing getaway this is the place to stay!

    Sarah2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic two night stay in Healdsburg area! The bed was just as comfy and as nice as it looks in the picture. Chris was sweet as can be and very helpful when it came to finding wineries to visit (with a perk of free tasting at some!) The location is the best! If you are looking for the small production, rural, farm-like winery setting this is the place to stay. Everyplace we tasted at was friendly, inviting, and most of all non-pretentious! The wines were lovely and the beautiful setting matched quite well. Would highly recommend Chris and this area of wine country.

    Taryn2014-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We reserved michael's room but the host gave us different room without any prior notice. The cottage we stayed was a bit old and dirty and the shower did not work well. Upon arrival, the host said that we owe "Transient Occulancy Tax" her. She asked us to pay $24 in cash. As you know, AirB&B's policy is that a host can not request additional payment unless it was informed when the reservation is made. The information about TOT is not given when we reserved the room. In addition, $24 is incorrect, it must be $21, as current Healdsburg's TOT rate is 14%. We felt uncomfortable during our stay and so disappointed in this.

  • Great location and the perfect spot to unwind after a day of wine tasting. Shelley was really responsive and the home was nice and clean with a great layout. Hot tub and fire pit in secluded quiet back yard were our favorites. Thank you Shelley!

  • We had a great stay here with our family. It was easy to navigate from here to the central part of town and the house is great.

  • This place is awesome. You don’t even have to leave the home there’s so much to do! Highly recommended and Shelley was responsive and wonderful to communicate with. Bravo!

  • A great place for our party of 2 couples and 1 single. Enough space for everyone to have privacy, but a great kitchen area for everyone to socialize in. The location was perfect for our day trips to wineries. Healdsburg itself was a surprise with it's great food, wine, and brewery!

    James2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect wine country home! The home itself is spacious, clean, and tranquil. We were in Healdsburg for a triathlon and this home was a perfect location to our race. Relaxing in the backyard with the fire pit and hot tub post race was the perfect ending to our race! Shelley and Brad were the kindest hosts as well. They were very communicative and even stopped by to help us start the fire pit! Thank you!! Definitely recommend the house to anyone looking for a getaway!

    Stephanie2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely Healdsburg home. Shelley left us a welcome bottle of wine and everything was clean and exactly as described. The beds and linens were wonderful and we loved the fire pit and hot tub. I highly recommend renting this home and will definitely stay there again.

    Jennifer2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Shelly was accommodating and friendly. The house was wonderful, even better than the pictures. It's quite secluded without being more than a few minutes from the center of town. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Healdsburg!

    Chris2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay! Just enough secluded but still a quick drive from Downtown Healdsburg. The beds were very comfy! The kitchen is stocked well with supplies. Two full bathrooms were amazing and accommodated our group very well. Shelley responded very quickly every time I had a question whether it was leading up to the stay or while we were there. And it was awesome of them to not only have a bottle of wine waiting for us, but a well stocked Keurig Coffee selection. I would book this again in a heartbeat!

The Roost is a licensed guest room that is located 2 blocks from the central plaza of Healdsburg in a quiet residential neighborhood. The Roost occupies a corner of an historic 1860s farmhouse with a separate secluded porch and private entrance.
Because the Roost is a licensed guest room (B&B) we pay 14% bed tax to the City of Healdsburg. This tax is included in the nightly room price.
Healdsburg is a popular small town with over 100 wineries in the area. Restaurants, bakeries and cafes are abundant and most are within a few blocks of the Roost. A weekly Farmer's Market with locally sourced produce takes place near the downtown plaza. There are also year round cultural activities, including art and music, as well as sport options.
  • The Roost was a wonderful experience! From the special cookies and wine to the cozy accommodations. We loved the private porch!! The location to Healdsburg City Plaza was perfect for enjoying the local food and wine! There was set up for coffee and tea in the morning and a small refrigerator. Given the close proximity to everything, that was all we needed. The cool climate made it comfortable to open windows and use ceiling fan at night, but there was an air conditioner as well which was needed during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!!

  • Comfortable, cozy and convenient to central Healdsburg. As advertised with a wonderful host.

  • Loved Themis charming place. The pictures don't do it justice. It's perfect for a couple. The location cannot be near if you're the type who like to park the car and walk to restaurants. It's so close to everything!

  • The roost is located in the adorably town of Healdsburg. The space is small but has a great porch and is walkable to all of the downtown restaurants and wine tasting rooms. Ann and her family provided wonderful recommendations and made us feel at home right away. We highly recommend staying at the roost for your visit to wine country- we hope to go back again!

    Amy2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ann was a great host for us. The room is beautiful and the porch is just an added bonus. You can't beat the location as it is 1 block away from downtown Healdsburg. We walked everywhere to all the tasting rooms and restaurants. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Healdsburg.

    Mick2016-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I had an excellent experience at The Roost. Everything was as advertised. Any questions I had were answered very quickly by the hosts. Wow, what a comfortable bed!

    Brendan2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, comfortable room plus private bath, perfect for a couple for a short stay. Small, private siting area outside. Convenient location within 2 blocks of Healdsburg Plaza. Ample street parking available. Ann was most pleasant and helpful regarding restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

    Frederick2016-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at the "Healdsburg Roost". The Roost is a comfortable room located within a short walk from the center of Healdsburg --- exactly what we were looking for. The room was comfortable and homey, and we were made to feel very welcome with a gift of cookies and wine! It is cosy, but had everything we wanted or needed. Even though our host was traveling, she left us in capable hands who were able to help us with anything we needed. She also gave some great recommendations for places to visit in the area, of which we made good use.

Our rustic and eclectic cabin is surrounded by redwoods, walking distance from the river, and is a great place to unwind. It's ideal for kids and adults alike. Families will appreciate the swing set, the tree fort, children's books, beach toys, and built in baby gate. Adults will like the places to relax and look up at the trees, the proximity to wine country and the city, and the fun of making fires in the firepit. Everyone loves the river and the short drive to the ocean.
The Blue House is cozy but functional with about 600 sq ft of space, newer kitchen appliances, and an open layout. There is one bedroom (with a queen bed). In the main room, there is a loft with a full size bed. There is also a day-bed with trundle (i.e. 2 more twin beds). Mostly what we love is it's location - convenience in closeness (a little more than an hour from SF), embedded in our favorite area of wine country (Russian River and Dry Creek), swimming, tubing, boating in the river, being surrounded by redwood trees and their ability to make you feel small, and proximity to the wild California Coast. It's a great base for exploring the area, but the house is a respite where you can slow down. There is fast internet if you want it, a tv and stereo, but it's also great for just building fires in the fire pit and hanging out in the hammock. The house isn't totally secluded, but it's all fenced in and feels a little like your own world. It is on a quiet street and is far enough from River Road that you don't hear too much traffic. It's around the corner from any other houses on the street so you get a nice view of the hills from the kitchen and dining room areas. That being said, it is in a neighborhood with some permanent residents and families, so respecting our quiet hours is important. It's not a place for parties. TOT#2369N
The house is embedded in a neighborhood that was originally built mostly as river summer homes, but now includes a mix of summer homes and permanent residents. Close to the house, there are a lot of little tiny twisting roads in the redwoods to explore on foot and sometimes you can find dirt cut throughs between streets and behind houses. You can walk to Mother's Beach in just 5 mins if you want to brave crossing River Road or 10-15 minutes if you take the longer, safer way around. You can also walk to Sunset Beach in about 15-20 minutes. Berry's Market is just a couple of blocks away. There you can get sandwiches, coffee, beer and wine, and other basics. Speer's Market is a 5 minute drive away where they have pretty much anything else you could need or want. If you want more hiking - Armstrong Woods is about a 15 min drive and has spectacular old growth redwoods. There is also Riverfront Regional Park (10min drive) and Sonoma Coast State Park (35 min drive - on the ocean). As far as wine country goes there is no better area. The wineries are smaller and friendlier then more tourist centric areas. Korbel is right down the street, but there are also some great smaller ones very nearby like Iron Horse, Porter Creek, Artista and Sunce. The Russian River Area has long been a place that people go to relax, explore, and get away. The people in West County are easy going, creative, and generally open. The towns and neighborhoods are small and full of little gems - some quick highlights include Monte Rio's quonset hut movie theatre, Guerneville's restaurants and Bear culture, Occidental's Friday night farmers market, Petaluma's Seed Bank, and lots of local craft breweries.
  • What a wonderful stay! The little Blue House was even more fantastic than I imagined. I loved every sweet and thoughtful detail. I slept in the loft and my boys on the trundle bed, we were all very happy! I was so impressed by the use of space, I literally felt like everything we needed was there. The absolute only thing I wished while we were there was that it was cold enough to enjoy the darling tub and make a fire but NEXT TIME! Thanks so much!

    Carmella2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great house, cozy and in a lovely setting. We love the area. Oliver was great to deal with and we would recommend this place to anyone. Hope to return in the summer to make the most of the BBQ and outside area!

    Edd2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a Gem!! The Blue House was exactly what the doctor ordered for a peaceful getaway in the woods. So close to quality eats, walking distance to the river, luxurious claw foot tub, and an awesome fire pit!?! We'll be back for sure.

    Yvonne2015-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible spot. I've nominated this as my favorite AirBnB thus far. The Blue House is so unique and the decor is perfect. We loved finding new attentions to detail at every corner. The outdoor picnic table was a great spot for lunches and dinners and the Redwoods provide a great ambiance. The house is situated nicely from local vineyards and isn't a long drive from coast towns like Jenner. I can't wait to come back for a relaxing weekend.

  • lovely charming house with a wonderful yard with picnic tables and stone fireplace. bring mosquito repellents - we didn't so no "camp fir" time in the yard. great hiking trails, river beaches nearby.

  • We had a wonderful stay at this warm, eclectic, family-friendly retreat. We'll be back!

  • Terrific 2 night get away for our family. Our kids loved the swing set and books, and the space was extra cozy, warm, and clean.

    Kate2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Blue House! The space was cozy enough to make us feel at home and allow us to spend time together while at the same time allowed each of us to have our own space. The house itself is beautiful and unique. We were constantly soaking in the beautiful details of the home. The location was perfect -- within driving distance of downtown Guerneville, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa and other popular Sonoma County destinations. Definitely check out Big Bottom Market in the main Guerneville town. Their biscuits are amazing.

My home is located in the Vintana subdivision in the Town of Windsor. Constructed in 2001, my home has a Mediterranean feel and decor. The neighborhood was originally a chardonnay vineyard owned by a well-known and local winemaker.
  • My stay was a quick in-and-out, but Dan made it easy, comfortable and pleasant. The guest room is way comfy and Dan was very accomodating. Good stay!

  • Dan is a friendly, welcoming host who is really knowledgeable about the local community and area recreational opportunities. His home is lovely and the bed was really comfortable. Great communication and ease of check-in. Nice quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed my stay.

    Mary2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Dan was the perfect host. Happy to offer recommendations on wineries in the area or restaurants. Very flexible and worked with me on arrival time. Flawlessly executed stay - from a welcome binder with information about the area to a spotless room and bathroom. A comfortable and relaxing experience - thanks!

    Christine2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dan was open and inviting as he greeted us at the door. He offered us a glass of wine and a few nice snacks upon arrival. He helped us find a nice place to eat in town and got us on a great road for a walk/run Ina the morning. His place is clean and private and I would recommend staying here if you are in the area.

    Roger2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Dan's place if you looking for a place to stay while in wine country. He gave good suggestions for things to do in the area, and he did a great job of making us feel at home. The room was nice, bed was comfortable, and bathroom was right across the hall. Good experience!

Just over an hour from San Francisco is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. Meandering into the small village of Rio Nido under the tall redwoods is a delight as you enter this Cabin in the Trees. Features two bedrooms one bath and large living room for entertaining.
Nestled right in the Redwoods, the Tree House is gently perched in the trees overlooking the canyon below. As you gaze out the windows it feels as if your perched right in the canopy of the forest. The Tree House has two bedrooms with comfy queen beds and luxurious linens. Originally built in the 1920's this cabin has been updated and decorated with eclectic comfortable furnishings. Still maintaining it's rustic cabin charm the decks are amazing and a beautiful place to eat, drink and enjoy the tranquility of the Redwoods. There is a full kitchen with most everything you'll need to prepare basic meals and a dishwasher for cleanup. The Tree House is self catering so please bring your own food and spices. There is a Safeway grocery store in Guerneville just two miles down the road. We have a gas fireplace in the spacious open living room and in the fall and winter we do our best to have it on, warm and cozy for your arrival.
Rio Nido is a 1920's era Vacation area for residents of the San Francisco area with lots of history. From the ancient redwoods that surround the area to the pee-wee golf course and the Roadhouse where you can take a swim and grab a bite to eat, this is the perfect location. Located just minutes from the fun and casual resort town of Guerneville on the banks of the Russian River. It is an extremely popular spot to come and kayak, canoe, swim and fish in the Russian River. Within five minutes you are at Armstrong Woods State Park, which is home to an old growth redwood forest, picnic area, and miles of spectacular hiking. To the west you pass through the towns of Monte Rio and Duncan's Mill on the way to Jenner and the Pacific Coast. To the east is Korbel Champange Cellars and over 100 boutique and well-known wineries including Kendall-Jackson and Ferrari-Carrano. An afternoon's drive can easily take you to Napa County and Guerneville is only about an hour plus to San Francisco. Great food, great wine, natural beauty and unlimited outdoor activities- this is why we make Guerneville and the Russian River area our home.
  • We enjoyed our stay here. The home was very clean and relaxing. The beds are made up with very nice quality bedding... we loved the cozy duvets. It was great to have a full kitchen, including a dishwasher so we could prepare meals. The deck is a sanctuary and we enjoyed a glass of wine under the redwoods in the evening. A week prior to arriving, I asked our host if there was a hairdryer and was told there was not one. But when we arrived, I was thrilled to see one had been dropped off. These touches are what make a host extraordinary.

  • We loved the ambiance of the tree house, whimsical decorations and a well-stocked kitchen. We are a family of three and stayed for 3 nights - it was hard to leave - we had wonderful evenings on the deck, hiked the Armstrong Redwood trail, tasted champagne at Korbel. Location is superb, walking distance to Roadhouse bar. Recommend arrive before dark and also bring a book - no TV at the unit.

    Jennifer2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Theo's place is a quaint home-away from home. There is no TV, so it's really a retreat into the trees. There's lots of eclectic pieces to make the place come alive! The view by far is the best part. Thanks for a great weekend!

    Alana2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • I hesitate to lavish compliments on this property for fear that I will mot be able to enjoy it again. Theo was punctual, polite and unintrusive.....he had the fireplace an music going when we arrived. The property is the perfect weekend get away from the noise of the city! Tucked up on the side of a hill, the home is tastefully decorated, comfortable and peaceful. We felt at home from the moment we walked in.....can't wait to spend more nights there in the future!

    Robert2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, unique location in Guerneville! It was amazing to wake up "in the trees" each morning. Theo was an excellent host and the house is comfortable, cozy, unique with just the right touches for a fun, relaxing getaway.

    Christian2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • I had a most magical stay at Theo's treehouse! We arrived after dark to be greeted by enchanting lights around the house, a toasty living room heated by the fireplace Theo had turned on for us, and jazz wafting in the air. It was absolutely charming and felt like such a retreat! Waking up in the morning surrounded by redwoods was icing on the cake. The house has so much character and Theo was a wonderful host - communicative, thoughtful, and made us feel most welcome!

    Jenna2014-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much. Our stay was great. We enjoyed our time together at the tree house.

    Willis2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the coolest airbnb we have stayed at. Theo's treehouse is nestled in the hills and surrounded by trees. It is a place we hope to come back time and time again!!

Less than 15 steps to the Forrestville Russian River beach! Newly renovated with all of the amenities you'd expect. Within minutes of many award winning wineries on Westside Rd and River Rd. Go out for a day of wine tasting and then relax by the river at the beach. Everything is a possibility at Casa Del Rio!
The unit was renovated in early 2018 so everything is brand new from flooring to appliances. The TV has access to all the latest apps through the smart TV functionality and the high speed internet.
The most amazing part of this property is its location. Casa del rio is one house away from the Forrestville Russian river beach and access. And within minutes of many boutique and world renowned wineries.
  • Beautiful property with a very responsive host. Ideal for enjoying the Sonoma area or Russian creek river. Would only warn light sleepers to be aware of potential noise from the local dogs or those trying to enjoy the river since the property is so close, however the latter is probably only an issue during peak season. Overall, great property and experience

    Ilan2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location to the coast and to wineries. Excellent host that was easy to work with.

  • couldn't be closer to the beach! house was lovely. owners were really helpful and attentive. can't wait to come back again!

  • Arvand was super responsive! The space was perfect for our family getaway. Location was great as well - only 15/20 minutes away from downtown areas. Arvand went out of his way to make sure to stay in communications throughout the stay. Will definitely recommend his accomodations to anyone.

    Ha2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Arvand’s place was great. It was very clean and spacious. Also, the respond times for any assistance I need as immediate. The location is great. The roads leading directly down to the river lies directly on the side of the house which was awesome. It was so close to so many wonderful things.

    Terra2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was clean, modern and spacious. A quick walk to the river made for a lovely location

    Amy2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Arvand and Noah accommodated us last minute and remained very responsive to us throughout our stay! The place looks close to the pictures and was very comfortable to be in. The place was right by the river and was very relaxing. I would recommend to anyone who plans to visit Forestville!

    Melissa2018-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • I spent the weekend with friends at Arvand's place. The location is absolutely perfect for a day of rafting on the Russian River as the AirBnB is literally right next to a popular put in/put out. Also an easy/fun location for checking out wineries in the Forestville/Guernville area. All as described, and great communication pre-arrival. Thank you!

One bedroom unit located beneath the main house with a small kitchen, full bathroom, laundry and deck with views.
A one bedroom unit with a small kitchenette; a two burner stove, microwave, and mini fridge. Gate entrance is shared but the unit has it's own entrance.
  • Great place in a great location. Clean, looked recently remodeled, nice fixtures and appliances. Cozy with just the right amount of space for us. 30 minutes from the coast and close to lots of great wineries. No complaints!

    Suzannah2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great getaway for 2! Close to so many wineries and the river... perfect place to balance wine tasting, and outdoor activities! Thanks for a lovely stay!

    Liz2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place was way above expectations. I loved the decor, the details, the atmosphere of the house. It was certainly a lot better than staying in most five star hotels we looked, with more space, a full kitchen to make our own meals, a large deck with gorgeous view of the forest, quiet and sounds of nature at night. I went for a wedding on labor day, and most hotels were so overpriced for their value. I really enjoyed Ismael's house. Best Value for sure.

    Marcelle2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The property was super clean and appears to have been remodeled very recently. In an area that usually has musty older cabins, this tiny house was a welcome suprise. The interior and attention to detail from the trim to the paint was uncanny. Fun little place to hang out in...

    Scott2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for two people who want a quiet getaway in the woods. Looks just like the pictures and is well equipped with everything you need. The bed is super comfy and the shower is great! 40 minutes from Napa and close to other local vineyards. We bought some groceries for breakfast from a store down street which was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again. P.s. We had NO cell service once we left, so make sure you use the WiFi to get directions to wherever you are going before you leave!

    Linda2018-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! I enjoyed the closeness to town and the wineries. The place was clean and well supplied. I enjoyed sitting out on the private patio in the evenings with a glass of wine, or watching a movie from the wide selection in the living room area.

    Stephanie2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • On top of a comfy bed, and brand new appliances, neat blinds, comfy blankets and decor, the rain water shower was like HEAVEN. We loved the attention to detail!

    Melissa2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice private space. Views are good with the morning fog providing an entrancing scene. Nicely located between amazing wineries and guerneville making it a short drive to either or covienient rest point between the two.
