  • Lance was a gracious host all week. The views from the treehouse were amazing! Great location close to downtown Portland. It was definitely a great experience. Thanks for your hospitality, Lance!

  • Lance was super friendly, and his house is an architectural marvel with an amazing view. My girlfriend and I both felt welcome and had our privacy respected. This was my first experience with AirBnB and I'd be happy to do it again.

  • Lance's place was probably the coolest place I have ever stayed in! Absolutely gorgeous view of all of Portland! Beautiful house! Gracious and friendly host! Very nice old cat!

  • Beautiful location very close to downtown. It was great being 10 minutes from downtown, yet secluded in the tree house high above Portland. Lance is great and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

  • My wife and I spent four nights in Portland this past weekend and LOVED staying at this house. I think we got a little spoiled - I can't imagine staying anywhere else in the city. The views (and the house itself) are as awesome as you might hope. The lower level of the house feels perfectly private, and was more than big enough for the two of us. Lance was awesome, and his cat Bukowski made our stay extra special. He was so much fun to play with! The neighborhood itself is spectacular - private, lush and beautiful, and perfect for morning runs, which was important to me. I loved exploring it. Running on the streets and the surrounding trails was a ton of fun.

    David2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lance and Bukowski were great hosts.

    Maia2018-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Lance's home during our visit to Portland. The view was incredible, and the home was close to a few trails with some even spectacular vistas. We packed our own toiletries and towels (just in case), but were provided with shampoo, soap, and towels. Lance even got us some chocolate on Valentine's Day, which we thought was really thoughtful. Oh and Bukowski (Lance's 8-month old kitty).... he is the sweetest. I'm not a cat-person, but Bukowski was easy to love and we loved his company.

    Susanna2016-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lance's home is the single most spectacular view of Portland and the unique architecture should not be missed! Lance was very kind. We had a scheduling glitch that he was able to fix quickly!

Unique hand built cob cottage next to lg. pond w water feature. Lg. fenced and gated yard. Gentle, curving space-made from sand, straw, water and earth . Featured in multiple international publications. The floor is also earthen clay with added radiant heat. Beautiful natural light. It's truly a magical place.
It's a curvilinear earthen structure hand sculpted from water, sand, straw, and clay earth. It features a radial roof with a central pagoda-like skylight. When building the Cob, we used reclaimed and natural materials when ever possible. The insulation in the ceiling is made from pulverized reclaimed blue jeans and the floor is made from the same earthen clay. It has a Dutch door, so you can open the top part for additional ventilation. It also has air conditioning available in the warmer months and a radiant heat floor. The bed is a very comfortable double with a memory foam mattress topper. The bathroom for the cottage is in the main house, about 40 steps to the back door. Inside you’ll find a large sitting room and full kitchen as well as your bath with claw foot tub and shower. These spaces are shared with 2 Airbnb rooms in the house. If you find the bath busy, our full bath is available upstairs on the second floor.
We are located in a sweet older neighborhood in inner SE Portland, built around the turn of the century. The neighborhood is extremely walkable/bikeable, and just two blocks from one of Portland's great restaurant rows, filled with unique locally owned restaurants, coffeehouses, bars, food carts, pot shops, ice cream vendors, pizza joints, clothing retailers, yoga studios and yes, even an old-school hardware store.
  • Such a cute little hut in a great Portland neighborhood! I could not believe how lucky I had gotten to find such a cool place for such a great deal. Loved having my morning tea by the pond right outside. Definitely would recommend!

  • Lovely little (hand built!) place. As described and perfect for our needs. Cats were delightfully friendly. Jack and Cris responded to all questions promptly. Great stay in Portland.

  • This was a beautiful cottage in a great location. I definitely recommend staying here!

    Kristen2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was welcoming, cozy and private. Jack and Cris put a lot of work and details into their cottage. You can tell by how excited they are for guests just by (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication went well, checking in and out were smooth and we had tons of privacy. Portland was extremely cold and windy but the cob cottage kept us warm. We actually turned off the heater during the night. The coffee area and bathroom were clean, every thing was fully stocked. Location was perfect! If it wasn't windy, we honestly would've walked instead of using uber. The only complaint I have was the branch scratching the ceiling but other than that, I loved EVERYTHING about it!

    Pang2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • To start, I should say that we stayed here before the bathroom and kitchenette became a shared space with another rental on the property. Just as a personal preference, we would not have opted to stay here if it were set up as a communal bathroom, but maybe that's just us. That being said, this backyard oasis was pretty magical and like nothing else we had ever experienced. Such a special space! My wife was dying over what she called the "Hobbit Dutch Door" that is now on her homeowner's wishlist. The property was in a great neighborhood with plenty of parking where we were easily able to walk to brunch and back through the charming streets. We especially enjoyed the resident felines who were oh-so-sweet and loved a good tummy scritchin' (we're suckers for a kitty!) The one thing I will say, if you are a light-sensitive sleeper, a sleeping mask is a must. Due to the unique design of the Cob Cottage, there's a lot of bright light that comes in. This would not dissuade us from staying here again, but my wife was very glad she had remembered to pack hers.

    Scott2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is THE spot to stay at if you're visiting Portland! Aside from the quiet coziness of the hut, there's so many great places within walking distance to eat and drink at. Jack was also available to greet us when we arrived in the dead of night and offer great recommendations, as well as show us the facilities. We loved the experience and would definitely stay again!

    Travis2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jack and Cris's place is absolutely stunning!! It's like a slice of a tropical island right in the middle of Portland. The bungalow is beautiful, quiet and private. It's also just a couple blocks away from the best boutiques, shops and restaurants. You will marvel at the beauty of this home and your natural surroundings!

    Farah2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The best way to experience Portland! Cutest, little place to stay. Walking distance of so many places to eat and drink! Loved our stay

This wonderful, private little gem is just a few easy walking blocks from plentiful drinking, dining, dispensing, yoga & coffee spots. You will be one block from Woodlawn Park, 2 blocks from a bus and a 5 minute drive from the Alberta Shopping and Arts District. It's all so comfortably close by, but not close enough to disturb your relaxing, sweet retreat. Come have it all while living small in this tiny, artsy home away from home!
This space was built as a Model T Garage in 1926 behind a 1915 bungalow but it has had a face lift and has taken on a new life as a cozy, warm freestanding studio made mostly from reclaimed materials. A "tiny house" if you will, sweetly positioned between fruit trees and a garden sitting area. The sleeping loft comfortably sleeps two and there is a futon below the loft where one can enjoy a book while the other naps above. Occasionally you will hear the trains in the distance which adds a touch of nostalgia and you get to wake to the relaxing clucking and cooing of the neighborhood hens as this area has a nice spattering of urban farms and lots of mature trees. For your comfort, this as a "pet dander free" space. No pets, thanks. The table pictured here has been replaced with a "garden shed" counter that houses a small, removable basin sink. There is also a rustic, rough hewn armoire to hang clothes and tuck away your backpacks. The little kitchenette corner is stocked with utensils, a two burner cooktop, a mini fridge, a microwave, coffee and a coffee press. The studio's setup is more akin to a cabin, and as many cabins go, there is no bathroom. You will be given a key to the main house so please feel comfortable enough to come in and use the facilities. By the way, it is insulated, well heated, and stocked with plenty of blankets so it is a wonderful, warm hideaway in the fall and winter months as well. Yep, snuggly wifi too. The yard is plentiful with flowers and fruit bearing trees (figs and delicious yellow plums) in the summertime, as well as an array of veggies in the gardens where you can sit amongst the trees and regroup after a hard day at Powells Books. It's within a 5 minute walk from the heart of Woodlawn which has some fantastic spots to shop, drink, dance, and dine: -Firehouse Restaurant, somewhat romantic with good service -Woodlawn Coffee House, for plenty of people watching -Breakside Brewery, to grab a bite and catch up on the game -Grand Army Tavern, have some pork with your...pork : ) -Good Neighbor Pizza, laid back & late night too -P's & Q's Market serves yummy meals and a few grocery items -The Village Ballroom, for Square Dance and Special events -Uptown Cycles, sales and repairs -Portland Girl, spa day anyone? -Greener Grasses, well-rated dispensary -Koken Market, for almost any beer you want, snacks -Café Eleven, art, coffee, lunch & some pastries -Oregon Public House, the nation's 1st nonprofit pub -The Highwater Mark, rock pub with pool & hip hop on last Fridays -Tamale Boy, authentic & delicious with lots of outside seating -Bassato Gelato, 12 rotating flavors+bagels in the morning -HighWheel Mead, open Thurs-Sunday -(Seasonally) Woodlawn Farmer's Market at Woodlawn Triangle, Sat. 10-2 Downtown is a 15 minute drive. The Alberta Arts District is also just minutes away so you can hop on a bike and be right in the middle of the jam-packed Last Thursday Art Walk or make a day of it with shopping, dinner and some delicious ice cream from the infamous Salt & Straw. Then come "home" to your quieter retreat where you can just relax and lay in the hammock.....ahhhh. And as the area is well surrounded by beautiful, mature trees, you may decide to enjoy dinner in the love seat swing under the pergola and watch the evening sky. It is a wonderful theatre for watching small bats do their sky routine in the distance. Flying in? This spot is only 10 minutes from the airport. And while in Portland, you may want some wheels! Well, this location is very close to Zipcars and you can sign up with them or Car2go on their sites in advance of your stay. Check out Turo or Getaround to grab a vehicle to tool But if you want to explore the city on two wheels, Everybody Bike Rentals or Ebikes ( electric bike rentals) are the spots to hit first (10 min. by bus). They provide helmets and locks too! ***If you don't see the dates available on the calendar that you had hoped for or if you are traveling with more than two people, please check out my other listing (#95313) which is also a private studio at the same location. It is larger and complete with a private entry and bathroom. Just ask me! Parking is close and the livin' is pretty easy. So please get that profile completed, then contact me and come kick up your heels and stay a while! Oh! P.S. Please read the description, house rules and post a pic of you in your profile beforehand just so that everyone is on the same page. Much appreciated. Cheers!
  • This was a great air bnb experience. Very authentic to Portland. The little house is comfy and cool and cozy. If you like lofts, you will love this. It was very private and lots of cute memorabilia decorated the space. You could comfortably fit 2-3 people here. The bathroom is in the house, but it was just a few steps away and was very easy to get in and out of. We felt that we had a lot of privacy. Andree was totally cool to talk to and get a sense of the community. A great value and super fun place to stay in Portland. I highly recommend!!

    Lori2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Andree was a wonderful host! We were able to book her Airbnb tiny home towards the end of the day and she was extremely prompt in responding to all of our messages! The space was exactly what we wanted: to live in a tiny home temporarily! I would absolutely recommend this location to any and all minimalists and those who want to experience something different!

    Katy2016-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • LOVED staying here. Andree was very welcoming and helpful. We checked out a lot of different places that she recommended and loved them. This little barn has great vibes and is just as adorable in person. The location is great- It is in a quiet neighborhood but it is very easy to get downtown and it is walking distance from the Alberta District which was lots of fun. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone! Thanks Andree!

  • Andrée was a wonderful host and we really enjoyed the house and neighborhood. We highly recommend staying here!

    Cristina2016-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! So cute ❤️

    Kat2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Andree is a great host! We checked in later than 3pm because our flight didn't get in until 10:30ish, but she accommodated us when we arrived. We fell in love with Andree's tiny little house and we can't wait to have one of our own. Andree gave us great restaurant suggestions, but unfortunately we didn't have time to go to all of them because of our packed 36-hour weekend adventure. The bed was really comfortable and the space was exactly the right size for my boyfriend and I. We love Portland and we'll definitely be back! Be sure to check out the pizza place and the brunch place next to the pizza place while you're around Andree's neighborhood.

    Kristen2016-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place was lovely! Very conveniently located, great host, nice and clean. Andrée had great recommendations for restaurants and places to see nearby and made us feel welcome.

  • Perfect for what I needed for the night...a bed. "Tiny House" setting was pretty cool as well. Andree was very accommodating to my later than anticipated arrival.

With lots of space and light, this studio has everything that makes a house feel like a home: a fireplace, a full kitchen, a queen bed, oak floors, handmade furniture, cable tv including HBO, and a private entrance.
This studio is a welcoming space in the center of an historic neighborhood that offers a unique perspective on the city of Portland. Ask me for in-depth info on where to go and what to see in the Irvington neighborhood, the Alberta Arts District, and other parts of Northeast Portland! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know quite a few incredible places to eat, drink, shop, and explore here. Located at the hub of some of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods, this studio places the whole city at your fingertips. But adventure can be tiring, and the studio offers ample opportunity to put your feet up. Portland can get nippy at night, and a real wood fireplace, stocked with firewood from locally harvested and dried urban hardwood trees, is the perfect way to warm up and feel at home. The apartment has high ceilings and a great fireplace; it’s minimally decorated but has all the important things: a queen bed, a couch with a coffee table, a small desk, a dresser and extra shelves, and a kitchen table. The kitchen comes fully stocked with the essentials for cooking a real meal, and the bathroom always has towels, soap and shampoo. The space is located on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen.
The Irvington neighborhood, now only a ten minute bike ride from downtown, was once a trolley-car suburb to the just-fully-developed West side. Designated a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, Irvington is filled with early 20th century homes that have been preserved in their original states. Irvington has become a livable hub of Northeast Portland as a whole, with shops and restaurants of all kinds, within walking distance, surrounding the neighborhood. Irvington proper boasts more than a few community and culinary destinations of its own.
  • La casa es muy bonita y limpia. Todo funciona: chimenea, agua caliente, estufa... Todo. El barrio es hermoso. Parece de un cuento. El acceso al centro de la ciudad es fácil y más o menos rápido.

  • Jason made the experience great and we really enjoyed the area. Walking distance to great restaurants, coffee and sites. Also the area the house is located is really idyllic and serene.

  • This was a beautiful, big studio and perfect for my week in Portland. It was so nice to be in a great neighborhood. And the the bus to work picked up a block away, so my commute was easy. I'd love to stay here again.

  • First time in Portland and this place was perfect! Located in a beautiful neighborhood, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The room was as described; clean, quaint, and just the right size for comfort. We really appreciated the fireplace and cozy atmosphere. Would love to stay here again on our next trip!

    Nicole2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • My brief stay at this chic spot was perfect. The space is beyond adorable. Very chill quiet neighborhood yet close to so much. Hosts are very laid back, accommodating and detailed with rules, recommendations, and info. Very quick response time with all the messages and questions I bothered them with. Full kitchen with so many amenities, even stuff to cook pancakes! Would and even live in this space. Definitely going to stay here again when in town.

    Rachel2018-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend I stayed in Jason's private studio for three nights and loved it. The location was perfect and we were able to get the most out of our days. Checking in and out was a breeze, and Jason was just a text away if we had any questions. The studio was very clean and cozy. We definitely recommend this space!

    Portia2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space in a great neighborhood. Jason was very helpful and accommodating. His dogs were great too!

    Kaitlyn2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jason provided us with excellent recommendations for food and activities during our stay in Portland. The room was clean and full of an assortment of amenities. The house is conveniently located in a gorgeous historic neighborhood conveniently located close to downtown, freeway access, restaurants, and other businesses. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment and host without hesitation.

You will see how homes in Laurelhurst are each very different and unique from craftsmen with large porches to smaller bungalows with beautiful gardens.
  • This space is in a beautifully built-out basement of a lovely, historic home in a quiet upscale neighborhood that is well-situated for visiting Portland. I was out-and-about quite a lot, so I only met host Bob, who was friendly, gracious and welcoming. Overall one of the nicest stays I've ever had.

The studio has a full kitchen and even a washer/dryer. Sue and Bob were wonderful and friendly hosts, and we look forward to staying at their place again!

  • This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Portland. It's right around the corner from the park and within walking distance to lots of places. Sue was so friendly and generous with ideas and tips for us—she even gave us a print out of tips for the coast before we checked out. The cottage is so homey and sweet. The whole experience was delightful.

    Kelley2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience using Airbnb, and we couldn't have been happier! The garden apartment was exactly as pictured in the photos - adorable, private, romantic, and quiet. We appreciated being able to cook/eat there, and having access to a washer/dryer en suite helped us pack light, even for a trip during pouring November rain. Everything was just right for our getaway. Whenever local friends came by, we insisted on showing them the place. We would eagerly stay there again, maybe during spring or summer when we could enjoy the courtyard.

Everything you need is here at our brand new guesthouse loft: a luxurious, lofted queen bedroom; high ceilings with floods of natural light, a modern kitchen, full bath with heated tile, comfy sleeper sofa for extra guests, and Stumptown Coffee with organic cream. The loft rests at the back of the property, one block from bustling Division St, and short blocks from restaurants, coffeeshops, & the Woodsman Tavern, named “One of America’s Best Bars,” by Esquire Magazine.
The loft is located in our backyard in Southeast Portland. While we are only steps away if you need us, the space is very private. In fact, guests report that they forget they are in the middle of the city when they stay in our space! We live in a desirable and fun neighborhood, and parking can be tight! Guests usually find parking within a block of our house. At night or during busy times of the day, parking can be found within two short blocks. Guests may feel free to use our driveway for loading/unloading. We do not have a TV in the guesthouse, but offer excellent wifi access.
Our neighborhood has everything you will need, mostly within a five-minute walk! And if you want to visit a different part of the city, there is convenient public transportation around the corner. Check out excellent coffeeshops blocks away (Good Coffee and Stumptown), delicious and intimate restaurants (Bete Lukas, Mi Mero Mole, The Woodsman), or walk up to Mt. Tabor Park. If you're into yoga, there's an awesome space (Yoga Union) around the corner.
  • Beautiful spot and great location!

  • Laurel and Brian's place was lovely! We had a great time staying there, the location was good, and their recommendations were spot on. Would definitely stay there again.

    Sam2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of our best Airbnb experiences to date! Laurel and Brian's apartment is full of light and has everything you need, including a supremely comfortable bed. We loved the neighborhood and enjoyed walking/biking to many of our favorite restaurants in Portland. It was easy to coordinate our details with Laurel, and she went out of her way to meet us and welcome us in person, which was so nice. Overall, it was a perfect getaway weekend, and we would gladly stay with them again!

    Kim2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place is ideal for an extended visit. Definitely spacious with great natural light!

    Robert2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Laurel and Brian's guest house was perfect. Everything was as described and the space was SUPER clean. It's located in a great little neighborhood with plenty to explore, eat and drink thanks to the nice list of recommendations. This is a great place to stay if you want to be a tad off the beaten path but close enough to enjoy a long walk or short bike ride into the city.

    Tim2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Both Brian and Laurel were wonderful hosts! Their place is very clean and cutely decorated. It highly recommend it if your passing through Portland.

    Carlos2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute, bright, and clean loft for our trip to Portland. It was hard getting out of bed on those cozy rainy mornings! Despite being within walking distance to all the great eateries and shops off SE Division & Hawthorne, street parking was easy (big deal for those of us who hate city parking) and we felt completely secluded when we retreated for the night. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and modern space while staying in Portland!

Where Bali meets Portland. Come relax in this newly, beautifully designed, private mixed use accommodation. Just five short blocks from Portland's hip N Williams district. A rooftop deck.
I have a total of five rooms, each listed separately in this unique mixed-use building where I also live and work. You will enter just past the Ned Ludd front patio via a private, secure, gated entrance off of MLK at NE Failing street and follow the stairway up to the second level. This is the larger of the three rooms. Each room is newly refurbished and furnished with beautiful, responsibly sourced tropical salvage out of Indonesia and locally re-purposed wood/trim doors and windows. Your private room comes with a window, a wall-mounted flatscreen t.v., small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, free wi-fi an armoire, an ornate sink carved out of stone, down pillows, down comforters, a king-sized posturepedic mattress and zen colored walls that might just make you think you are in... Bali?
NEPO (aka NE Portland) is hip and cool and like so many hip Portland neighborhoods–it is ever-expanding and reinventing itself. New restaurants, shops, boutiques and businesses are popping up all over. Whether you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night while you get out and explore during the day, or you are just looking for a place you can hole up and relax, we've got you covered. The options and amenities you will find here in your little oasis in NEPO are plentiful.
  • Great space, the bedroom looks exactly as the photos. The bed is cozy and nice towels. The room is right next to a great cafe with homemade baked goods called Bushel and Peck and dinner at Ned Ludd is a must. You can walk to Alberta St, North Williams and Mississippi within 20 mins or less where there are great neighborhood restaurants, yoga and coffee shops.

  • Tim's Airbnb is clean, trendy, quiet and in a perfect location. Love the high-quality bedding - very comfortable mattress. Will definitely be back to enjoy again.

  • Great place in between Alberta & Mississippi districts. Timothy was very welcoming too.

    Julie2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tim was great! The room was awesome and the bed was superb. Not too far and not too close to everything. I like to be away from the hustle and bustle but I also need a good night out when Imm on vacation.

    Adrian2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy was a very gracious and flexible host. He and the other guests were friendly, a great little book in town with everything you need within blocks. Timothy welcomed me and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfy! Very easy bus ride to the convention center!

Relaxed + modern one bedroom basement apt. Bright + spacious with a handmade Portland touch. Comfortable for two, it's a great home-base for the traveler wanting to explore PDX! Located in charming Woodlawn neighborhood. Near the park, bars and bus lines.
Handmade by us! We're a craftsman and an interior designer who are not afraid to get our hands dirty. Stay in this remodeled basement where every detail was thought, planned and carefully constructed. We value high-end, conscious design. Our motto is maintain, reclaim and sustain. All of the exposed wood was salvaged from this 100 year old home! We love our house and hope that you do too. It's a great, peaceful place to crash at the end of the day. A plush queen sized bed, a huge doorless walk-in bathroom (ie. divided by a wall), glass walk-in shower and a tiny but efficient kitchen were top priorities when we made this place. The kitchen has dishwasher/fridge/oven stocked with all the pots/pans and plates to make a nice meal at home. Its always a shifting art-installation, so don't be surprised if the art in the listing photos change. We like to collect art and objects during our travels.
We're one block from 2 major bus lines (the 8 goes to downtown) and our neighborhood market, P's & Q's. 3 blocks from Woodlawn park + 5 blocks to our neighborhood hub: breweries, dance hall, coffee shop and restaurants. Woodlawn is a great area and closely located to Alberta Arts District, Mississippi and Kenton.
  • An awesome spot with great local restaurants and not too far from downtown.

  • Lovely apartment in a great location in Portland. Anna was super responsive and met me to give me a tour of the place. It was cozy, beautiful and super clean. Definitely highly recommend!

  • This apartment was so cute! Neat up and coming neighborhood, not too far from everything we wanted to do :) Also, Anna and Jeremy were extremely friendly :)

    Amy2014-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Anna was a great host to us, and I appreciated her flexibility with our check-in time. The space was handcrafted by her and Jeremy, and it is such a beautiful, open space. I loved all of the decorations and the spacious layout, it was perfect for relaxing! Anna and Jeremy both left resources on the table for us to look through, along with personal recommendations for favorite food/hiking trails. Very beautiful space, and if you're lucky, you might get a glimpse of the flirty neighbor's cat, Chloe.

    Courtney2014-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Anna contacted me and let me know that the room was ready early. The room was perfectly equipped for a short stay including a complete kitchen. The suite was tastefully decorated and very spacious.

    Marty2015-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully decorated unit that's got a great location. Words cannot describe how GREAT that bathroom is-so nice! Anna's hand-drawn map of the neighborhood is great!

    Bryan2015-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, clean and cozy! Anna was great and communication/check-in/check-out was easy. We'd definitely recommend it and stay here again!

Newly constructed in 2016, our private detached garden studio sits in the heart of a quiet residential neighborhood and is a short stroll to top restaurants, food carts, and shopping in hip SE Portland. The space is compact -- about 240sf -- but cozy, bright and a great place to unwind after a day of exploring Portland!
Our cozy studio includes a comfy queen bed, vaulted ceilings, full bathroom, kitchenette, and small sitting area. It's fully detached from the main house, so offers complete privacy. Skylights, french doors, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide an abundance of natural light, even on a grey, drizzly Portland day, as well as views of the west hills. It's small --about 240sf-- but the space is well utilized with many amenities such as wireless Bluetooth speaker, Portland maps and guides, and comfy pillows and blankets to make it feel like home. The space is best suited for guests seeking a cozy place to relax and recharge after a day of exploring Portland; If you're needing more of a "hangout spot," this may not be the best fit. The studio has a full bathroom with shower (no tub). The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, sink, instant hot water, coffee maker, coffee press, microwave and everything you need for reheating leftovers from the many restaurants and food carts nearby. Complementary tea and coffee are provided along with a long list of restaurant recommendations. There’s a growler available for filling, which you can do at The Imperial Bottle Shop on Division Street and at many local breweries and grocery stores nearby.
We love living in the heart of the Richmond neighborhood! Nestled on a quiet, residential street, we're a short stroll (about 1/3mi) to hip and eclectic restaurant and retail districts of SE Portland. A 4-block walk brings you to a bus stop that can get you most anywhere else in town. A short walk from the studio brings you to food, shopping and entertainment (to name a few of our favorites): PokPok, Salt & Straw, Ava Gene's, Bollywood Theater; Food Cart pods, Little T Bakery, St Honore; A myriad of boutiques, shops and independent movie theaters on Hawthorne, Clinton and Division streets. You'll likely meet some friendly neighborhood cats during your stay, but due to severe allergies, our studio is pet- and allergen-free. You may also spot our eyepatch-wearing, kung fu-performing neighbor (and good friend) practicing in the street, sometimes alongside his 4yo daughter. He’s a world-renowned martial artist and teacher, is super friendly and adds some true Portland character to our otherwise sleepy neighborhood.
  • This place is perfect! Melissa is really sweet and helpful. Communication couldn't have been better. It is clear that they really put time and thought into creating this space. It's extremely relaxing and beautiful. The location couldn't be any better, you're close to buses, great food, and cute shops, but it still feels quiet and private. We spent our mornings sipping coffee and listening to music on the bluetooth speaker. An amazing find on Airbnb: Book it now! Thank you for having us!

    Maggie2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing studio room with nicely appointed bathroom in a lovely backyard. Everything seemed new, very clean, and truly welcoming. Loved the attention to detail, like Q-tips and a lint roller and games and restaurant recommendations! A wonderful welcome upon arrival and a warm good-bye upon leaving. It was the best B&B on our trip! Highly recommend!

    Mark2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect little studio! Walking distance to sooooo many great restaurants and bars yet you are tucked in this quiet little neighborhood. The space was even more perfect than the pictures, and had everything we could have asked for. It was wonderful to wake up and be able to make coffee easily and the little kitchenette (combined with the grill outside) was great. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this spot!

    Jen2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Melissa and Brian's place. The studio is perfect -- the location is great, the decorations and details are all incredibly well-thought out, and the overall communication process was totally seamless. Melissa and Brian are super nice and were very helpful in giving suggestions for things to do in the area. Our weekend here was wonderful!

    Maggie2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was a bright, cozy place to sleep in a great neighborhood. Clean and welcoming.

    Spencer2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for our honeymoon and we can’t say enough good things about this cute studio! It is even more beautiful than the pictures! It’s just a short walk to some of the best places in Portland! The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and peaceful, perfect for afternoon strolls to go get ice cream or something from one of the many amazing shops on division! Melissa was so wonderful to check in on us and make sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed! We were even able to chitchat with the neighbors who were so so friendly and made us feel welcomed too! Melissa’s place was the best and we can’t wait to get the opportunity to stay here again!

    Crystal2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, clean, charming, beautifully decorated, the host has a nice list of local shops, restaurants etc... Great location and parking right out front on the street is easy.

    Elizabeth2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa's studio was recently renovated and was modern and immaculate. This was probably the best Airbnb experience I've had so far, and not only because the ice mold was filled with large cubes for my cocktails when I arrived! It's small, but extremely comfortable and cozy. Everything was pristine, the bathroom with the walk-in shower is large, and the location was a short walk to the hip Division Street. Melissa and Brian are great hosts. They provided a long and very helpful list of nearby restaurants and bars (we used several of their recommendations). I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Kristina2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Place was adorable, with a clean modern style. Top of the line appliances and amenities made the stay even more comfortable. Super quiet, for us actually, even thought the place was right above a bar! But there were ear plugs and a noise-cancelling device, just in case. The neighborhood was the cutest; the apartment was just steps away from tons of hip restaurants and bars. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Portland.

    Alexandria2017-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great, the apartment was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with. I'd definitely recommend this place!

  • We stayed for two nights at Anastasia's place. Everything about this airbnb is great. It was absolutely spotless, located within walking distance to at least four restaurants, a mom and pop bar with very friendly owners/customers, hip shops, upscale shops, a bookstore, and two blocks away from all mass transit. We stayed in order to drive & access the Columbia Gorge and to just experience what urban living might be like. It met our expectations and more. I can highly recommend this airbnb to anyone, including approaching seniors as we are. Note, however, that there are some stairs to get to the appt. The Nob Hill area treated us well. We walked and walked and enjoyed every second of our stay!!

    Mary2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! Great location, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Anastasia was helpful, easy to contact and happy to give lots of advice. The apartment was a perfect size, clean and easy to find at check in. We will definitely be back and recommend staying here, it was a great find and good value!

    Sam & Louise2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Anastasia's place was perfect for my trip to Portland. I didn't meet her but she did offer up some great suggestions for places to eat/drink & see. The room was great and super clean and it was nice to have basic kitchen facilities. The location is what really does the place justice as there was great food and drink places literally next door and round the corner and the neighbourhood was very cool & lively. Wholeheartedly recommended.

  • Good place for the price.

    Kevin 2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • She is so friendly and very quick to respond. She has the cutest dog and cat! Her studio is very homely and I loved the decor. The bed was comfortable, the heater worked great! She was nice enough to give me a ride to a local brewery. Thank you :)

    Nicole2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa’s home was great for our quick overnight stay. The space was clean, and Melissa offered many suggestions of things to do even at our next destination!

    Stefani2018-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa was phenomenal! She was communicative on all of my questions. She even provided great food recommendations and offered more should we need them. Everything went smoothly, and I highly recommend staying with her if you're in Portland.

    Sasha2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's a BIG basement room with a bed on one side, and a FULL kitchen on the other. Large bathroom. Even has a fireplace. Warm and cozy. (Snowed for Xmas while we were there.) Nice amenities all around. One or two people could easily spend several days there while experiencing Portland. It's right near Concordia Univ, which means a pleasant walk over to Alberta shops/restaurants. Melissa is very responsive, but the whole process is so easy, you won't really need to ask for anything. Check-in is super easy. Lots of street parking too. This is our old 'hood, and we'd stay here again for sure.

Comfy queen size bed, private bath, private kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot water maker, and all the basic amenities.

  • Roberts basement suite was absolutely perfect for my girlfriend and I during our stay in Portland. It was modern, clean, and full of amenities. If you’re looking for a great value, this is the place to stay.

    Hugo2018-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ok if you’re looking at this space just book it!! Amazingly beautiful space and close to everything you’d want to do here! Trust me when I say this place is worth much more then you’ll spend! You’re walking distance to Mississippi street and Alberta art district which are the newer up and coming places to be. A 10 min Lyft or Uber ride to downtown, and close to much more! On top of that we stayed there at the hottest weekend in Portland and that you to the hosts for putting central ac in the studio and bonus we could control the temp on the nest!!! Y’all are amazing! Would definitely recommend this location, and hope our next Portland adventures brings us back here!

    Rebecca2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculately clean. Nice amenities. We didn’t use the kitchen to cook since Portland has such amazing places to eat, but it seemed fully stocked and super clean. Very thorough instructions for using all the amenities at the rental. Would definitely stay at Robert’s again!

    Dany2018-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Top notch! Never thought a basement could be so cozy!

  • We had an amazing stay at Roberts place. Close to the airport and our favorite neighborhood on Mississippi Ave. It was very cozy and the bed was so comfortable, especially after a long day exploring. We felt very safe coming back late at night. Would stay here again if we are ever back in town.

    Angela2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Robert was an amazing host, who was readily available for any questions leading up to and during our stay. The space is close to the Alberta Arts District, and about 10-15 away from downtown Portland and the airport. The space was perfect for two people, and had everything you need for a weekend in Portland. 100% would recommend staying here.

This space will make you feel cozy and right at home! A bright and well appointed tiny house located in Northeast Portland. Just steps from some of the best restaurants in all of Portland. The Alberta Arts district is just a few blocks away with cafes, pubs and local shopping. There are unique neighborhood amenities, such as the soaking pool and movie theater at the Kennedy School. For more photos and neighborhood info, visit: @portlandtinyhouse on Instagram.
We put a lot of love into Portland Tiny House. The space includes warm wood flooring, ceramic tiling, modern decor and special vintage touches. The house has a very comfortable Tuft and Needle queen sized bed, bathroom, kitchenette equipped for cooking light meals and cozy counter seating for two. Coffee, tea, fresh eggs and Portland travel guides provided. Need anything else?...just let us know! (2 guests with a small child may sometimes be accommodated)
Guests are a block away from Portland's most popular and notable restaurants: DOC, Beast, Autentica, Dame, Expatriate, Wilder and Yakuza Lounge. The house is within walking distance to the local New Seasons Market and the Alberta Arts District with shops/restaurants/art galleries and the hugely popular Last Thursday monthly arts festival. You certainly won't want to miss all of the wonderful shops and restaurants up on Alberta Street. There are many popular restaurants that often have a line to get in (yes...they are THAT good!) like Pine State Biscuits, Salt and Straw Ice Cream, The Grilled Cheese Grill and the Bollywood Theater. Lots of vegan dining as well: Vita Cafe, Back to Eden Bakery and the Bye and Bye Pub. So many wonderful options, we usually have a hard time deciding what to pick! Just around the corner: Walk a block up to enjoy hand-crafted morning coffee at Extracto or breakfast at Cup & Saucer. Drop in to take a yoga class at The People's Yoga studio. Hunt for fun vintage finds at Red Fox Vintage. Or you can explore the McMenamins Kennedy School: a historic elementary school re-purposed as a hotel (including a movie theater, soaking pool ($5 for a relaxing soak), restaurants and pubs). There are two parks within walking distance from the tiny house, Alberta Park and Fernhill Park. Peninsula Park is also a quick jaunt from the tiny house and it boasts a beautiful, seasonal rose garden that is often less crowded than the well known International Rose Test Garden in the West hills.
  • This was the perfect place for us to stay for our five days in Portland! When we walked in there were fresh flowers set out with a little packet of where to find things in the house, what was in the neighborhood, and local recommendations. This instantly made us feel welcome. They provided basic toiletries (shampoo, body wash, blow dryer, towels, and extra TP) which was really nice because we didn't have to lug that stuff in our suitcases. The space was BEAUTIFUL and so clean. I couldn't stop taking pictures. It is even cuter in person too! My boyfriend and I were really impressed with the decor. We actually want to steal a few style ideas. You can tell that a lot of thought and love was put into making this space not only comfortable and modern but functional. There are beautiful weavings hanging on the walls (done by a local artist I believe), cute rugs and throw pillows. Everything was just so cohesive and aesthetically pleasing. The neighborhood was gorgeous, quiet, clean, and homey. We felt safe the entire time (which is important when you're exploring a new city). We walked down the alley to an amazing area of shops. We had coffee at a great little coffee shop, did some thrifting, and had dinner at a cute little Mexican food restaurant. One night we even walked down the street a few blocks to Kennedy school. This area was perfect for our trip, we found that it didn't take very long to get anywhere we wanted to go. One of our favorite things about the tiny house was the chicken coop. Such a nice, Portland touch! (and YUM!) We briefly met Duston and Genevieve and they are so kind and so welcoming. I even corresponded through (Hidden by Airbnb) quite a bit with Genevieve about local spots to check out which was really helpful. Duston was working on the chicken coop one afternoon and he was actually installing windows for the kids in the neighborhood, so they can look in and see the chickens. That really touched our hearts and told us a lot about our hosts. We would stay here a thousand times over. I can't say enough good things about Duston & Genevieve and their beautiful tiny home.

    Heather2016-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect first Airbnb for my boyfriend & I. The house was adorable and cozy, perfect for a couple. It is in a wonderful neighborhood really close to great food and shopping. I loved having this whole tiny house to ourselves and our own entrance through the alley. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about staying in Portland!

    Melissa2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Duston & Genevieve were amazing hosts and the tiny house is absolutely the best! Such kind people and were adamant on making sure we were comfortable in our stay. They even brought in the air conditioner for us for our 85 degree day! And fresh eggs from the hens were waiting for us on our first night. We had a great time getting to know them for our short stay as well. The tiny house itself is very clean and well designed. Duston & Genevieve clearly have great taste! Truly the best. The neighborhood itself is really amazing as well. Walking distance to the Kennedy School, where we grabbed a beer and sat in the soaking pool! Also very close to lots of shops and our new favorite coffee shop, Barista! Thanks so much for a great stay, Duston & Genevieve. We will definitely return!

  • The Tiny House was better than I imagined! They had everything they described on their site and more. Duston and Genevieve were incredibly accommodating! I would love to stay here again if I'm ever back in Portland and will definitely recommend to all my friends!

  • We found the Tiny House to be a perfect spot to stay while visiting Portland. On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Duston, Genevieve and their lovely daughter. This very peaceful cottage has it's own entrance from the alley behind. Which is nice, not having to worry about disturbing the hosts. Also, the cottage is full of natural light and was decorated with a great attention to style. As an interior designer, I found this aspect most pleasing. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Overall, our experience could not have been better! We would defiantly come back!

    James2015-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I spent 4 nights at the cozy Tiny House. It was exactly the solitude I was looking for. I made delicious Portland coffee, cooked my breakfast and went to any number of places within walking distance for lunch - all while working during the day from the reliable wi-fi. The location is fantastic for the Alberta area. The inside is just so well planned and comfortable. I had plenty of space for my suitcase and was able to hang everything. The bed is a foam mattress that made my home bed seem pathetic! It is bright and warm when outside may be cool and misty. I can't wait to go back.

    Laura2016-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • This Tiny House may be one of my favorite Airbnb experiences yet! Check in and check out were very easy and the house itself is so adorable and well decorated. Despite being a small space it was perfect for two people on a short weekend trip without feeling cramped. We especially loved having access to the chicken coop, saying hi to the chickens whenever we came and went and even getting to enjoy some fresh eggs at the end of our stay. The list of recommendations that Duston and Genevieve left for us were helpful as well. I would definitely recommend the tiny house to my friends and would stay there again next time we go up to Portland!

    Stephany2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had such a great time staying at the Tiny House! It was located in a great area close to pretty much everything we wanted to do. The house was decorated so beautifully, it was very clean, and it felt so cozy and comfortable the entire time we were there! Genevieve even brought us a bottle of wine the day we checked in because she knew we were celebrating our anniversary. Great hospitality! Definitely recommend and we will probably stay here again next time we come through Portland. :)

A quiet, cozy bedroom & bathroom on the ground floor of a beautiful, modern new home in a verdant, friendly Southeast Portland neighborhood. Enthusiastic greeting by very friendly dogs & cat comes standard!
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE REQUESTING ACCOMMODATION. As a courtesy to our guests, our check-in time is 2:00 pm; however, as we both work weekdays, we cannot have the rooms ready until 5:30 or so. What this means is that our guests are welcome to make themselves at home in their living room or just drop their bags off and head out exploring, but they won't be able to rest their weary heads or hit the showers until we've had a chance to get home and tidy up. (PLEASE NOTE: This listing highlights the primary guest bedroom available, but for parties of 3 or 4 people, we do have a secondary bedroom that also features a queen-sized bed. If you are making a reservation for two people and you wish to book both bedrooms, PLEASE EXPLICITLY TELL US SO, as the default for two guests is ONE bedroom; for a two-guest reservation, the cost will be the listed room rate + $30/night. All guests share the same bathroom.) There is almost an entire floor available in our newish home smack-dab in the heart of fun, accessible Southeast Portland! This means that our guest(s) get not only their own quiet bedroom, but also a private full bathroom AND their own nicely-appointed living room (please note: the first-floor living room is NOT private, as it does not have a ceiling and is the way between the front door of the house and the stairs to the second floor). We are steps away from a frequent-service bus line, a terrific sandwich shop that's open for breakfast, lunch AND dinner, a pizza joint, a Starbucks, and, best of all, a Trader Joe's! The house is about two miles south of the trendy Hawthorne district, one mile south of nationally-recognized Division Street, and about four miles east of downtown Portland. The house itself is a beautiful, soaring Doug Fir- and hemlock-constructed dream home decorated with one-of-kind glass art pieces and potted succulents. Our guests have access to our fabulous kitchen in addition to their own first-floor amenities. We have a very friendly housecat you will likely meet during your stay, but the guest bedroom and guest bathroom doors are kept closed for the comfort of allergen-sensitive guests. We also have two friendly dogs who will greet you eagerly upon your arrival, but who otherwise spend their time hanging out with us and don't wander much to the guest floor. Lastly, to our guests during the colder months: the guest floor tends to be the coolest in the house, and we provide space heaters and afghans for your comfort, but we figure we should let you know ahead of time that if you run cold, ours may not be the ideal place for your stay.
Our neighborhood is so great! We are really close to several cool Portland hubs, but we're on a relatively quiet residential street so we truly have the best of all worlds.
  • Brad and Becca are friendly and considerate hosts. Their accommodations are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. I would definitely stay there again if I am in Portland. Their location is ideal. I had no problem taking mass transportation - at a total cost of $2.50 - from the airport to 1 block from their house (train, then bus). I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

    Joan2013-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our host was not there to greet us, but they communicated really well to let us into their home. Their home is extremely welcoming and conveniently located. Sadly, I fell sick and we didn't get to explore much of Portland, but thankful their place was rather homey enough to be comfortable and sleep off my cold. I only hope I can go back to their home and explore more of Portland next time.

    Vanessa2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful and the location was great for exploring Portland. The bed was comfortable and your pets were very friendly.

    Patricia2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Brad & Becca's beautiful place to anyone visiting Portland. The room is incredible value; you have a very comfortable bedroom, bathroom and living room all to yourself! We were able to use the washer and dryer which was really handy, as well as wifi and use of the kitchen. The house is in a great spot, with a good little set of local shops (for essentials like pizza and coffee!) just around the corner, plus easy access via public transport to other great eastside neighbourhoods and downtown. Most importantly, Brad and Becca are absolutely lovely people to stay with - friendly, helpful, extremely welcoming, and both have a great sense of humour. We would definitely stay again!

    Nick2013-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brad had good suggestions on things to check out around town. Their place was clean and comfortable.

    Stuart2013-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Almost didn't get to meet them since they work early and I spent most of my time in Portland seeing as much as I could and eating my way. Really cool vibe to the house too!

    Brandon2014-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Look no more! This is the perfect place in Portland. Our stay in the Urban Treehouse was great! Becca, Brad, Carlos and Diego (their dog and cat) were there to greet us upon our arrival. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The Treehouse is centrally located; we were able to get around town via public transportation/walking quite easily. Becca and Brad's home is architecturally beautiful and the decor is wonderfully artistic. We are looking forward to our return. Thank you Brad and Becca for hosting us in the Urban Treehouse!

    Rebecca2015-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Becca have put a lot of thought and detail into their guest space and it is a beautiful place to stay. The couple are nice them selves and their home map insured that we found all the excellent places to go. We loved Portland and Brad and Becca's was a great place to stay.

Spacious master bedroom with private bath, entrance & deck; easy access to transportation, walking distance to N Williams, N Mississippi, The Pearl, Rose Quarter/Convention Center, east side amenities, & Emanuel Hospital. All are welcome! airbnb.com/rooms/2291626?s=51
This is a large master suite with accommodations for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay: a Keurig coffee maker, complimentary coffee and tea, a refrigerator, a microwave, dishes, knives, and silverware. The room also has cable TV, Queen size bed, foldout futon sofa, airbed in closet, sitting area & desk. "...the bathroom was unexpectedly awesome with two sinks, and such a large shower with dual heads." Heating and air conditioning is a mini-split which keeps the temperature comfortable and quiet.
Eliot neighborhood is full of popular dining establishments, coffee shops, music venues, parks, and the Matt Dishman community center with in-door swimming pool. This is a great close-in Portland community with access to everything you need. Several places for live music include the Secret Society, White Eagle Saloon, Wonder Ballroom and, of course, the Rose Garden Moda Center.
  • My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Jere's lovely suite. This was our first stay at an Airbnb and so we didn't know what to expect. We were so pleased that we stayed here! When we first arrived after a long day of touring colleges, Jere greeted us with terrific suggestions of places to eat nearby and a thorough description of the neighborhood location and the surrounding neighborhoods. She has a trove of maps and tourist information on the desk that was extremely helpful to us. The suite looks just like the pictures. Very spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom has a spa like shower with double sink and huge mirror. There is a large walk in closet with a vanity, dresser, and hanging clothes racks with extra towels, pillows and blankets. In the main room a sitting area was great to chill out and watch TV. Also in the main room is an area with a fridge and microwave, coffeemaker, tea kettle and utensils/etc. The queen bed was very comfortable. When we left for the day and walked onto the private porch, a lovely smell came from the floral bushes surrounding the private entrance. The neighborhood was darling. We had no problem parking our rental car on the street and we were very close to restaurants and coffee shops on Williams Street. We traveled all over the city and surrounding Portland area very easily from Jere's house with our rental car. It seems like public transportation would also be very easy from this location. The location and the private suite was very peaceful and relaxing. This was perfect for us since we were so busy during our days in Portland and were quite tired when we returned back in the evenings. I would certainly love to stay here again and recommend Jere's suite to any one who travels to Portland.

    Siena2015-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Jere's place was a delight. She provided us with lots of useful information (maps, food guides etc) for our adventures in Portland and was only a text away if we needed anything. The place itself was just as lovely as the pictures - spacious, private, and nice and cool during the hot weather. The location is a short walk from the Mississippi Ave restaurants and shops and we found the buses great for getting to and from town. We had a great time in Portland and would highly recommend Jere's place!

    Martha2015-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jere welcomed us into the room and told us about the surrounding area. Incredibly polite and warm. The room will not disappoint and the bathroom will have you coming back. We felt like royalty! We walked to the Williams and Mississippi districts with ease and felt incredibly safe. I would recommend this room and location to everyone.

    Samuel2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jere is an amazing host and the room is perfect. I moved here to Portland a little over a month ago from TX, and Jere has been instrumental in helping me to acclimate to my new home city. She is very knowledgable, provided maps, invited me on hikes, answered many questions, invited me in to the main part of the home for tea, and even met me after work to walk home (from downtown area). Her family members are very friendly and helpful as well. The room is large, clean, and comfortable with a nice private entrance covered deck and a huge bathroom, shower, and walk-in closet. I couldn't ask for a better host family or better accommodations as I begin a new life in Portland!

    Lisa2014-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant stay with Jere. The room was more than spacious with a very nice and luxery bathroom. We enjoyed the balcony in front of our room and had breakfast enjoying the fine morning sun. We are gratefull for this very agreable closure of our vacation the US.

    Josée2014-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved staying at Private Haven, it was a lovely respite from my conference and much better than any hotel room. The room was spacious and comfortable, but I found myself more often on the lovely private deck. Jere was wonderful, and made me feel very welcome and gave me a lot of information about the great things to do around the Eliot neighborhood. I hope to come back!

    John2015-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jere greeted us and explained how to get around in the city. Very nice and respected our privacy.

    Peter2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great, quiet place close to lots of fun stuff in Portland. Very clean. Snacks and beers stocked in the fridge were nice touches. Jere was even willing to hang on to my bags on my last day, which made my life a lot easier with a later flight.

  • My sister and I had never experienced an airbnb location before and I will admit, we were spoiled!!! The hosts are so great, talkative and accommodating! The cottage was adorable and very clean with modern influences. Hands down I would recommend staying here if you are visiting the Portland area. Just wonderful!

    Brittany 2015-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit and it was as enjoyable as the first. Heather is a marvelous host and the cottage suited my daughter and myself perfectly. I hope to be back soon.

    David2011-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip started out difficult trying to find our way from the airport, many of the street signs are difficult to read even in daylight, that's not your fault though. The house is clean and charming. Climbing down the ladder was a bit of a challenge. My wife ended sleeping downstairs.

    Richard2015-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay a the Piedmont Cottage. The place was beautifully done, clean and well equipped with all the necessary things for a short or long stay. The hosts, Heather and Topher (and their daughter Stella) are delightful and welcoming but if you value your privacy, this is a great find since you have your own entrance. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Portland. The garden across the street is beautiful, there's easy access from the highway and shopping is so easy - just down the street.

    Terren2011-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Piedmont Cottage was lovely! The cottage is clean, comfy and in a great neighborhood. The atmosphere is awesome: river stone pathway to the house, bamboo trees and a beautiful koi pond. Heather is a great host. She is very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with.

    Lydia2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy the great city of Portland. The rose garden across the street is beyond gorgeous. Heather and Topher were warm, welcoming and accommodating. Their guest house was immaculate and had everything we needed. If they'll have us back we'd come back in a heartbeat.

    Carolyn2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and such a cool way to experience Portland and tiny house living!!

    Roland2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • My family stayed in the little cottage and absolutely loved it. They had the great surprise to be just across the street from one of the most beautiful rose garden in Portland. It was also great for the kids. The place was very convenient short walk to MAX line as well. They found it very comfortable and quiet. Tks!!

Light-filled, private 2 story apartment, parking in the driveway, two major bus lines, walking distance to restaurants/bars, shopping & grocery. Separate office area, high-speed internet, great for business travel.
A well-stocked gourmet kitchen, lots of windows to let light in (blackout shade in bedroom to help you sleep!), new comfy pullout sofa, full size washer & dryer, courtyard space outside to chill out, park in the driveway right next to the apartment
The Albert Arts neighborhood has award-winning restaurants, bars and shopping all within walking distance. The apartment is on a major bus line that can get you where you need to go quickly.
  • Tommy's place was great! Not only did the check in system make it so we could check in without Tommy physically being there but the code was also nice because we did not have to worry about carrying keys. The place is literally as clean as it looks in the pictures and the Portland theme decor adds a nice touch. Quick Uber ( approx $10) to downtown Portland and not a far drive from the main freeways. The laundry was a nice touch! Tommy was quick in communication with me. 10/10 recommended!!

    Ankita2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is great! Wonderful charm, clean and cozy. The place was perfect for our weekend stay. Nice kitchen, spacious living room and comfortable bed.

  • Tommy’s place was absolutely beautiful. Loved how clean it was and cutely decorated. In a fun area with lots to do. Only 10-15 mins from the city. I asked Tommy for some recommendations and he responded with a huge list in minutes. Would absolutely stay here again!!!

    Deanna2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, spacious, modern, stylish, bright and airy... it's exactly how it looks in the photos and yet even better in person. Not the most central location, but close enough to everything you'd want to do in the city, and the neighbourhood is definitely worth exploring. Highly recommended - thanks Tommy!

    Brennan2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing time while here! The place looks just like the pictures. Definitly would recommend anyone to stay here.

    Elba2018-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Tommy’s place! He was quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. His place was perfect, clean, updated and nicely furnished- we all said we would like to move in! It wasn’t in the heart of downtown but there were still things to do and it was an easy uber or drive!

    Maryanne2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down my favorite airbnb ive ever stayed at. Tommy was very helpful and he also suggested places for us to check out. His home is so cozy and clean, just how i like it. I also liked how there was a spot for parking. He was also very accommodating with whatever we needed especially with any amenities that we needed. Overall it is a 5 star rating for me!

Buckman is a close in SE Portland neighborhood which is an increasingly popular place to live. The apartment is at the eastern end of the neighborhood. There are parks, a picturesque cemetery, good restaurants, wine bars, craft brewing pubs and the Laurelhurst movie theater, all within walking distance. The #15 bus line runs to downtown on the other side of the cemetery (6 blocks). A little further afield (just over a mile) is the Hawthorne district where there are some off beat shops and more places to eat and drink. Downtown is 2 miles away. The apartment is part of a new build and is situated at the rear of the property next to the garden It is one story up (over the garage) and receives a lot of natural light. It is fully self-contained, all appliances are new which makes self-catering very easy. What it lacks in history it more than makes up for in convenience! There is also ample free street parking directly outside the house. Buckman is pretty close to downtown while still having a residential flavor. It also contains a number of agreeable restaurants, wine bars and brewpubs. Everyday shopping needs such as grocery stores are also well served. Additionally it is pretty easy to get to the major freeways for travel purposes. Buses run to downtown and back a few blocks over.
  • This is beautiful, very private accommodation at a reasonable price Location is in a trendy older suburb with great shops and restaurants. While we walked into the down town area busses are cheap and easily available. It is a huge studio with full modern kitchen, comfortable bed and dining and living space - all almost new. This is one of the best airbnb accommodations that we have had. The hosts have provided all the comforts that one may need. The hosts were very welcoming without being intrusive and communicated promptly prior to our arrival Great stay

    Stephen2014-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful cozy apartment! Everything we needed was provided for us along with a great welcoming gift! We loved that the apartment was located in a great neighborhood near so many fantastic restaurants. This was the perfect place to relax after a long trip up the west coast, I would definitely recommend to friends.

  • This is the second time I've had a ten-day stay at Cara's while attending a training program. Having this peaceful, clean, bright and convenient space to return to after a long day has made all the difference for me. The kitchen is well-equipped and allowed me to make simple meals every day. The linens, furniture, and amenities are all top-quality, and the space is very comfortable. I look forward to returning for a pleasure trip and staying in my "home away from home in Portland".

    Katie2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is just as described. You can tell the difference between when you rent from a rental company and someone's home. It was comfortable and e felt right at home. We would stay here again!

  • Cara and Roger have a beautiful space and it's so easy to access. It's in a perfect location, very clean and nice. My husband and I were very comfortable and Cara was quick to respond to any questions. They give you all the info and more that you could need, I wish we had more time to explore!

    Ashleigh2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was just as described and pictured. The parking was great and the apartment is located within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The space was good for two people. One of the reasons my husband and I enjoy AirBnB is so that we can have lunches or dinners at the house without always having to eat out, the accommodations easily allowed for that.

    Melissa2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome! Great quiet location just a short trip away from all the things to do. Kitchen and washer dryer available for use. The kitchen came in handy for the late nights after exploring the city and we didn’t want fast food. Great communication and plenty of street parking nearby. I would definitely be back!

    Klayton2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cara and Roger were excellent hosts. Their very private, fully finished, oversized studio loft had every amenity. Local wine and coffee were complimentary. They thought of everything! Towels, soap, shampoo, laundry facilities, tv ready with AppleTV/Netflix, clean linens and extra blankets. There were even two umbrellas available for use to keep us dry in Portland's wet climate. There was a steamer and ironing board available too. The studio is fully equipped with a modern kitchen and accented with lovely recessed lighting. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Cara and Roger left a plethora of pamphlets of ideas for activities in Portland. Some were even within walking distance! We were grateful for the independent thermostat that allowed us to control the indoor climate. We also liked the security of the key code lock mechanism on the door. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely book with them in the future! Thank you!!!

The bunk room has been created as a nod to the hotel's creation as a safe place for sailors. You'll find the same thing in this space with 18' ceilings- cozy, strong, and comfortable triple bunk beds.
At The Society Hotel, we believe in making every traveler feel authentically connected to our community so they are ready to enjoy our beautiful city from day one. We offer three ways to experience our unique hotel: bunk rooms for the affordable community experience; private rooms with shared bathrooms for comfort without excess; and suites for a bit of affordable luxury. All of our rooms come with plush beds, 10-foot windows, high speed wifi, and a hospitality experience unlike any other.
Old Town is Portland's oldest neighborhood - the original epicenter of Portland, Oregon. It has a colorful history and an equally colorful present! We are the epicenter of Portland's street fashion scene, the nightlife district, as well as a social services haven for those most in need. So expect an eclectic mix from Old Town, and hopefully love it as much as we do!
  • Very neat, clean place! It was the best hostel ever. I went to Portland for Christmas so it was really hard to find any place open at that time. They served a cup of coffee even if the cafe was closed already! Had such a great time:)) thx again~

  • A bunk in The Society Hotel is the perfect was to visit Portland. It's in a central location and I was able to walk to just about every sight in Portland I wanted to see. The beds are comfortable and the staff is super friendly.

  • The Society Hotel is by far the best place I've stayed at in the Portland area. I've had great experience with the service of employees there and can't forget about the rooftop access. I would recommend this to anybody that is looking for an inexpensive place to stay at with great location and awesome service. Thanks society hotel

  • This place was amazing. Cheap, central, fantastic bunk room, and incredibly accommodating hosts. Don't go here so they always have availability for me. I might go back just to sleep in the bunks.

    Will2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly how it was described! This place is great In the center of Portland, Staff was great and very helpful! Beds are very big and bathrooms are great! Everything was super clean! :) Very nice people in this hostel as well! One of the best places I've stayed at!

    Sabrina2015-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • The staffs at Society Hotel were friendly and helpful. The description is accurate. The place is clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay at Society Hotel next time I am in Portland. Thank you for being such an awesome host!

    Oscar2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • All in all a cool place. Accommodations were nice, but there's not much privacy. It's to be expected, but often people would galavant about with little regard to the other people staying in the room. Also, toilets don't have lids--which ordinarily isn't an issue--but with the only shelf positioned directly above the toilet bowl, it's a recipe for disaster for your toiletries. For the price, it was perfect.

This bright studio in the heart of Portland's historic Irvington neighborhood is not to be missed. Tree lined streets with big beautiful homes nestled in the heart of North East Portland. Comes with a full kitchen, a private bathroom, Wifi, cable tv, and a platform Full Bed with access to a hot tub in the back yard! Plus! Plenty of free street parking in front of our home if you have rented a car. A home for every travelers needs.
Arts-and-crafts architecture, handmade redwood tables, and a minimal but comfortable style give this bright studio a true Portland feeling. We always keep the kitchen and the bathroom stocked with the essentials. There is a table with high chairs in the kitchen, perfect for eating a home cooked meal. The Full bed lies under a North facing window, letting in lots of light throughout the day. The apartment is on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen. After a long day out on the town, you’ll come home to an always ready hot tub in the backyard, a plush full bed, a big TV, and blazingly fast Wi-Fi.
  • Beautiful space with everything we needed. Took full advantage of the hot tub. Seamless check in.

  • The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • I absolutely loved my stay! Jason was extremely accommodating and was very generous when I asked to check out late. The apt is cozy & comfy & the bed was so perfect I didn't want to get up in the morning. It was everything I wanted. The neighborhood is drop dead gorgeous and perfect for long walks. Some of Portlands best restaurants are a few minutes away. I look forward to coming back soon!

    Kimberly2014-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was awesome.. My prior stay was interrupted due to my failure to jump on the reservation, so I lost days in between, but Jason was super helpful and offered me his studio in lieu of my lost days. He was a great help and it kept me on the same building and block in Irvington which was very helpful. I would stay here again in a flash.. Super comfy and easy access and quiet house. Very clean, and always helpful for any needs. There is even a laundry in the basement.. Awesome.. Could not be happier, well I could be if I actually lived in this neighborhood..

    Lucas2015-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for the first two nights of our Oregon wedding trip and it was perfect! We felt very safe and loved how much natural light the space had. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Thanks, Jason!

I'm offering a comfortable clean bedroom in the best neighborhood in Portland. Self check in so late night arrivals are no problem. On all major bus lines. New Seasons market one block away and 20+ restaurants in a 15 block radius. Free street parking. LGBTQ friendly. 3 small dogs live here so if you don't love dogs, this is not the place for you.
I'm offering a bedroom in my four bedroom home on the main floor right next to the shared bathroom. The bed is a comfy queen size. My home has a back porch with a cozy deck for eating breakfast and sipping coffee and a picnic area under the arbor for dinner and relaxing. The dogs can be a bit intense, but Rocky is always down for a head scratch.
Dozens of excellent restaurants within walking distance of the house. Two grocery stores within 4 blocks. Major bus lines will take you downtown in ten minutes. Our neighborhood is quiet and clean in the heart of Portland's biking community. We're also within walking distance to the Aladdin Theater so come see a show while you're here!
  • Great room, great area!

  • Very pleasant house in a nice neighborhood. Kara was welcoming and even let me store my bike in the garage.

  • Kara was an amazing host. The place is exactly as described and is located in an awesome neighborhood. She went above and beyond to make my stay in Portland memorable. I would 100% recommend her and this space.

  • Great location! Lots of fun places to check out in the neighborhood and accessible street parking. Kara was super friendly and made us feel at home.

  • Kara was such a great host. The room and house was clean and the bed was so comfortable. There is plenty of parking out front in a safe neighborhood.

  • Kara worked with me from the booking to the stay to make sure I had everything I needed. She let me borrow a bike and backpack to explore the city with and had 3 adorable dogs to make me feel at home while away from my own! The bed and linens were VERY comfortable and I loved the touch of having the tea and coffee available in the room. They have a hot water dispenser to make morning coffee/tea even easier. Location was great and although the dogs were barky at first as promised, they let me chill with them the next morning and the roommates I encountered were very nice!

  • My boyfriend and I made an impromptu visit to Portland and needed a last minute place to stay. I was pleasantly surprised that this amazing home was available. Seen on the TV show "Tiny House Nation", CNN, Food & Wine Magazine, and the NY Post, the 350 sq ft Rustic Modern Tiny House was designed and built by us, your friendly AirBNB hosts. Guests call it "completely charming" and "the perfect urban getaway". Welcome! M+J
For years we've been daydreaming about building a little house one day. Then we finally made it happen - using our own two hands (DIY! The Portland way!) and with the help of some great friends. We had a vision in mind, but a lot of the details came together as we built, based on what materials we had available to us. Downstairs is the kitchen, living room with convertible couch, and bathroom with tiny clawfoot tub. Access the upstairs via STAIRS (not a ladder), where you'll find our loft bedroom with comfortable queen sized bed. Sustainable design is important to us, and the house is constructed and furnished from an eclectic array of reclaimed materials - squirreled away over the years, and now creatively reused and repurposed. See photo captions for a detailed walkthrough of the house. A PARTIAL SNAPSHOT • The trim and shelves are reclaimed from an old shed that used to be on the property. • Teak hardwood flooring, cedar shake siding - salvaged from high-end construction jobs. • The wood-clad windows salvaged from a horse farm in the Oregon countryside. • The kitchenette stove/refrigerator sourced from the Hood River History Museum. Instagram: @rusticmoderntiny
We love our walk/bike friendly N. Williams Ave neighborhood - it's been getting a lot of media attention as one of Portland's hottest neighborhoods. You are one block from the main corridor, bustling with award-winning restaurants, bars, coffee shops, wine bars, bakeries, yoga studios, and indie boutiques - it seems there's something new every week. Sunset Magazine loves its “low-key urban vibe", past guests call our neighborhood "awesome", "amazing" and "full of things to do". Our street has even made an appearance or two on the TV show Portlandia.
  • Such a great experience! A beautiful home with such great detail. The tiny house was a perfect amout of space for 2-3 people. Bed was comfy as well! Perfect neighborhood with great restaurants, bars, shops. Everything we needed for an awesome weekend in portland!

    Giuliana2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • I'm a huge fan of Tiny Homes and have been studying various design techniques in hopes of building one of my own someday. This Tiny Home is very skillfully designed. It uses 238 sq. ft. brilliantly so that it feels like 400. My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon and it was perfect for the two of us. The shower will even fit two people though it is cozy. Don't expect to take a bath in the tub. The neighborhood was delightfully walkable and hipster. So many great places to eat close by and the bus was a 10 minute walk. If we moved to Portland we'd likely find a place in this part of town. That's how much we loved it.

  • Michael and Jenna's tiny house is beautifully decorated, is equipped with everything you will need, and is in a fantastic location. Their response time was very prompt when needed. Make sure to take a look at Jenna's recommendations for neighborhood activities. Their rental made for a great stay in Portland and I would definitely return again.

  • Staying at the Rustic Tiny House was an amazing experience and it exceeded my expectations. Not only that it is smack dab in the heart of NE PDX, walking distance from restaurants AND stores. Such a quaint and darling place. Thank you, Michael and Jenna for being such great hosts.

    Kara2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place in a great location! My boyfriend and I stayed for a quick weekend trip. The tiny house was super cool (just like the pictures) - a perfect place for two.

    Claire2016-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay! The tiny house had everything we needed, it was really comfortable and in a fantastic location - easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, bars, etc. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything!

    Jenny2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • I LOVED The Tiny House and want to make my own!! The place was great. A perfect space for two, but I could also see it working for four people if you don't mind close quarters. Beautiful personal touches on everything. The neighborhood is great - within walking distance to food and drink, and a 15 minute walk to Mississippi street for a little shopping. We rented bikes and had no problem covering most of the city. The only problem I could see - for older folks, less mobile folks - getting up and down from the loft and the bathroom is a little tight.

    Caroline2013-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little house in a cool part of Portland. Mike's bikes were great - as were several of the hosts recommendations... POK POK!

  • Excellent location for hip dining and doing on Hawthorne. Sara has created a charming, efficient space; we were grateful that she considered how to make it versatile. Lots of little thoughtful surprises around that make it that much easier to get comfortable. The whole property is clean and nicely decorated.

  • I had a great stay at Sara's Tiny House! She was super communicative and the tiny house is a great space with great recommendations as well! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Portland!

    Martina2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sara has created such a perfect space for a little Portland getaway. We have stayed in many airbnbs and this was right up there! Every little detail has been thought of. The space is small but so so so functional! Cute furnishings and thoughtful little things everywhere. We cooked in the kitchen with ease as well as walked to some of the cute cafes and restaurants that are so close! The bus stops right out the front of the house which was awesome. The supermarkets close by are incredible too! Special mention to Sara for her amazing communication in the lead up to our stay, she went above and beyond and we can't thankyou enough. We highly recommend this place for a charming taste of Portlands south east x

  • 5 stars all the way. Much better experience than a hotel. Friendly and informational host. Never bothered by anybody. Cute and cozy accomodations. Nothing went wrong or was uncomfortable in the slightest. The next time we visit the city, we will be heading straight back to this place. Couldn't be happier with price, size, and comfort of stay.

This 3rd floor loft is located in the N. Williams District, on a main bike route, across the street from a bus stop, close to the street car and light rail. It is an eclectic 900 sqft self contained unit with amazing views on the top floor of a 1900's Victorian. This stretch of Williams Ave has a more industrial feel but we are just a few blocks from eateries & libations. Walk to the Convention Center, Moda Center and the Pearl District.
-The view is amazing. -Efficiency style open kitchen with 2 stove top burners, toaster oven, french press, cookware, full dishware & glassware plus a real fridge with freezer. -comfy queen bed & nice Egyptian cotton sheets -new heating system with Air Conditioning! -2 wifi networks -a slew of information & maps on Portland & surrounding areas such as the Columbia Gorge, Oregon Coast, wine country etc. -Walk to the heart of the Williams District -Walk to the convention Center & Moda -Walk into the Pearl District (20min.)
Building on its reputation for bicycles, beers and brunch, the Williams District has evolved into a dynamic, must-see destination for locals and visitors alike. With its broad array of eateries, breweries, characters, shops and services, the district is a veritable composite of all the best Portland has to offer. The Williams District includes more than 150 businesses and is also defined by its rich cultural history. In the 1940s and ’50s, Williams Avenue was teeming with jazz clubs and speakeasies. Today located just down the street is the historic Billy Webb elks lodge. On a Friday or Saturday night it is not rare to sit on the deck and hear the DJ spinning.
  • Tyra was the perfect host! From the moment we confirmed our reservation, Tyra was quick to respond, super communicative throughout our stay and sent me a bunch of recommendations without me even asking! She even left a local cider chilling in the fridge to welcome our arrival - talk about hospitality :) The loft is a dream and the view from the patio is gorgeous - just like the pictures! Tyra left plenty of local magazines and guides to help us find the cool things to do around Portland. On the night we arrived, we walked a quick 10 minutes up the street to the Williams District and grabbed a drink at a cozy lil cocktail bar called Box Social (highly recommend their grilled cheese & tomato soup!). I'd stay in Tyra's loft again, without hesitation. Thank you Tyra for being a great host!

    Gina2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place with great views of downtown Portland. Great communication which made it easy to check in. Neighbor was nice enough. Very easy walk to the Pearl District. Great supply of local craft brews was stocked in the fridge. Comfortable bed. Would recommended to others! Thanks Tyra!

    Martin2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Tyra had great communication with us during our visit and setup the loft with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I would recommend this loft and neighborhood

    Kyle2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tyra was such an amazing host. She was so informative which helped made the stay go smoothly. She is quick in responding back and has her guests' best interest. She even had beers ready for us when we arrived. The loft was super cute. If not for the cold days we spent here, the balcony with the city view would be perfect.

    Nancy2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tyra was a great communicator and the space was perfect for me. Thoughtfully arranged and supplied. I'd stay again!

    Michael2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful loft! Nice and warm, and really cute. Check in and out were easy. Tyra was very responsive to all my questions. The area is quiet and just a short ride to downtown. There are 3 sets of stairs, as Tyra mentions in the description, that were a bit hard with all my luggage, but it was well worth it. I recommend this loft to anybody visiting Portland!

    Cristina2016-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Plenty of street parking space. The room is clean and cozy. Tyra is a great host and has tons of recommendations especially things to do and where to find great foods in Portland. :D I will definitely stay here again next time.

    Prowpanga2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Tyra's loft was the perfect location for us! We had planned to attend the Trailblazers game and shop at the Nike outlet downtown, and the loft was a short walk from the Moda Centre and a short drive to Nike. Tyra was an awesome host, and checked in daily to see if we had questions. We appreciated all of her suggestions - i.e. nearby markets, restaurants, etc. The loft was a great size for the two of us. As her ad mentions, it is an older home and the floors are a bit creaky so we felt a bit self conscious about disturbing the downstairs neighbours in the late evening. Other than that, we loved the location and special touches that Tyra provided in the loft.

Nestled in the private backyard of our family home, a neighborhood hub. The round, rustic, romantic MudHut hides in a secret garden overlooking the St. Johns bridge and sparkling river, near Cathedral Park, Forest Park, downtown St. Johns, canoe and hiking trails... Firepit, permaculture gardens, loaner bikes, community life, view!
Our hut was handbuilt by family, friends, and community with great love and serves as a guesthouse, homeschool hut, sauna and sanctuary. Wood-heated and candle-lit, it's a tranquil, rustic sleeping space. I recommend staying two nights for an immersive experience in the relaxing atmosphere.
We're in St. Johns, Portland's northern-most neighborhood and a small town of its own with a strong community identity here. Many families here trace their roots back to James John, the pioneer founder of St. Johns who is memorialized all over the neighborhood. Downtown St. Johns is a few blocks away, with plenty of restaurants (Thai, vegan, soulfood, chinese, pub grub, pizza, deli, breakfast, coffee & gelato), an old movie theater and shopping (lots of vintage). Cathedral Park, three blocks away, is gorgeous and photogenic with access to the Willamette River and the awesome overhead presence of the gothic St. Johns Bridge that you can see from the hut. We're also close to a lot of natural areas for urban hiking and paddling. Forest Park, full of trails and old growth forest, is right across the bridge. Just north of here is Kelley Point Park, the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers; Smith and Bybee Lakes, a wetlands for birding and paddling; and Sauvie Island, with beaches, farms, nurseries, hiking, fishing, & birding. We're on the Pacific migratory fly-way, so lots of raptor action around here. Bald eagles, peregrine falcons and hawks swoop by regularly.
  • Ivy was fantastic and the mud hut was a hovel to remember. Spent the evening gazing at the St. John's bridge set against the night sky in a hot tub whaaaat? ∞/∞ stars would stay again any time.

    James2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • The mud hut and gardens were a nice place to escape and enjoy a very different experience. We had a very nice time in it and really enjoyed being able to walk to Forest Park and go for a hike. The cat was also very friendly and kept us company. Also, the strip of bars and restaurants nearby has some places we really enjoyed. Ivy was great about communicating too throughout the whole process!

    Matthew2014-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The mud hut is a true experience different from all the other Airbnb's we have stayed in. It is cozy and romantic with the tea lights. Ivy was very responsive and made us feel welcome at their place.

    Andrea2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ivy is a good hearted woman. Kind and patient. Housing was a special adventure and made me feel like I was camping but with more protection ! I would recommend for anyone that enjoys the unusual.

  • Very friendly and helpful host, lovely and unique location and experience!

    Tim2015-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ivy's place was awesome. Very cool, unique place to spend the evening. Ivy has great stories and a fantastic yard to take in the view and spirit of Portland living.

    Gabriela2013-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience, lovely mud hut ambience in the evenings. We enjoyed the outdoor structure set up as living room (there are blankets for chilly days/evenings), and having a campfire in the evenings. We loved having the chickens cluck around and see the view to the bridge. Check out the Cathedral Park below in the St. John's bridge, it is within 10 min walking distance or shorter drive. +++ Mud Hut highly recommended if you are a nature lover, art lover, and not opposed to basic conditions (small bathroom, futon mattress, no immediate electricity in mud hut).

    Stephanie 2013-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This mud hut is the perfect place to heal... Its the closest thing to an earth womb and the space that surrounds is like an enchanted forest with the option of also lounging in a hot top overseeing St. Johns Bridge (highly recommend this at night).. Ivy is a Goddess of sorts!! She is a plethora of knowledge and the perfect welcoming to this humble secret garden. I highly recommend checking out of city life and checking into touching IN to connecting with the earth here at the mud hut. I NO DOUBT will be returning to this very special, sacred space!!!

Welcome to our brand new 1 bedroom gem in the heart of bustling NE Portland. Settle in to the comfortable bed, cook a meal in the gourmet kitchen or just drop your bags and head out the door to a city easily accessible from the front doorstep.
This space has it all. Queen size memory foam bed, full kitchen and bathroom, washer and dryer, living room with flat screen TV, a lovely sunny patio and backyard. Restaurants, bars, and a grocery store are just blocks away.
We are a 5 minute walk to the Dekum triangle were we frequent some of our favorite restaurants and watering holes (Firehouse, Tamale Boy, and Breakside Brewery to name a few). There is a also a great little coffee shop/ bakery at the end of our street called Cafe Eleven. The Safeway grocery store is just a few blocks away as well.
  • It's a great place to stay. Has nearly everything you need already & walking distance to a super cute coffee place. Quiet & friendly neighborhood. Ask about the heater/AC & how it works (took us 2/3 days to figure it out. Haha) We stayed with our 8mo & it was surprisingly baby safe and enjoyable for us all. I can't wait to book again.

    Krista 2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for a short stay. It was a hot summer night but Michael did provide fans for us. Restaurant and bar within walking distance.

  • We headed up to Portland for a romantic/relaxing weekend getaway had a wonderful time at Michael's place. The apartment was spotless and really well decorated; we felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable, everything was as described, and Michael was great about communication, checking in to make sure we got in all right and promptly answering a question about the thermostat. All in all, the spot was peaceful and welcoming. We're old hands to Portland, but it felt really luxurious to have a whole apartment to ourselves to be able to cook and spread out and relax, and the space helped us to have an awesome weekend. This place is a great value, and I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice spot with privacy and all the amenities. Fluffy bathrobes were a luxurious touch!

  • The rental was exactly as pictured; comfortable, spacious and conveniently located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. There are several grocery stores within walking distance of the home as well as great restaurants and bars. We had a rental car and had no issues finding parking on the street. Michael was a great host taking care to make sure we were thoroughly enjoying our stay. I would highly recommend staying at this property if you are planning a trip to Portland!

We live in this open modern townhouse with our dog and young son. After entering, you will be welcomed by a European, modern style space. We are 1 minute walk from Kenton Park and 10 minute Walk from Columbia Park where you will find shaded picnic areas as well playgrounds that have water splash areas and off leash areas for your furry friends. Harper's Playground a playground which is on Saturdays the hotspots for all families is 15 minutes walk away. Do you need your morning coffee kick? It is a great walkable neighborhood you can do a walk to Williamette Blvd and have even an secret overlook of the city.
  • Annika was a fantastic host! She was very helpful and communicative. And the place itself was so nice - bright, quiet. The area was good, nice and with plenty of room on the street for parking. Next time I'm in Portland, I would for sure consider returning to Annika's.

  • Beautiful room and kind hostess!

    Remy2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay! Annika is so helpful, communicative & very accommodating. She has such a cute/stylish space that feels like the perfect "home" away from home & has everything you need for an overnight stay. The location is great too. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

    Brianna2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was really nice experience to stay at Annika's place, she is a very thoughtful host and I'm super impressed at how detailed she prepared the room, from the lovely jar of nuts to even tampons in toilet cabinet. The room is spacious and bright, bed is comfortable to sleep, and there's buses going to town directly, so convenient transport as well.

    Lan2018-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Too many and all the reasons why you should stay at Annika's. But most of all, it's the comfort of staying at such a welcoming and warm family's home that did it for me. From Annika's lovely pet dog to her pristine and aesthetically perfect guest room, it was a wonderful experience from the start to the whole of my Portland trip. The most friendly family and I can tell Annika is very experienced as an airbnb host - she will take very good care of you and make sure you are comfortable! Even before arrival, Annika was so helpful with providing any advice I needed from local eats to the best sights to see. She also was very flexible and communicative of any updates to the rooming situation if there were other guests checking in and out before my stay. I will miss staying here and can't wait to come back to Portland to stay here once more! Everything is a drive-able 15-20mins from Annika's and parking in the area (always a stressful topic for me) was no problem!

  • i loved staying in the pink tiny house. the smallness and elegance of it was charming. it is both utilitarian and inviting. Rick was a gracious and responsive host. the location can't be beat--i walked to several restaurants for my different meals, and it was like a mini adventure--which ones of the gobs of options do i choose from? you should try it out.

  • I absolutely loved my stay at Little Green House off Mississippi. The description was spot on and Rick was very helpful in sending me all the information I needed ahead of time. The location is perfect. It's literally one block off of Mississippi and right next to Stormbreaker Brewing. I would absolutely stay here again.

    Terry2015-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little house and quite a talking point for anyone walking past/cab drivers who picked us up. The host was very helpful and communicated well. Everything was clean and in working order. The location is excellent for restaurants and bars and perfect if you don't have a car. We were a bit disappointed to find that the upper level is now out of bounds and that the bed is actually a sofa bed, but on reflection this is mentioned in the profile. If you're looking for a unique place to stay in a great area of Portland I would definitely recommend the little green house.

  • Ricks place was great. Cute, clean, new and with many shops and amenities in the area.

  • We stayed at Jodi's place for few nights during our first visit to Portland . The apartment is comfortable, great location. Walking distance from great coffee shops and restaurant.

    Meri2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi's place was perfect for a weekend in Portland! We discovered that this was actually a better location than being downtown, and we were able to cycle absolutely everywhere (you can get downtown by bike in 15 minutes or less). The place felt safe, it was clean, the kitchen had everything you could need, and it was more than enough space for us. We knew there was no wifi in advance, so we arranged to bring our own and ended up spending most of our time exploring the city anyway. Considering the cost of a hotel room, you really can't go wrong with this place!

    Larissa2015-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great place (room, bathroom, kitchen, balcony) adn great communication with the host!

    Anton2015-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location that is very easy to find and access. Clean and cozy.

    Jenna2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi's apartment was perfect. It's in a quiet part of the NE, but still close enough to good coffee, food, and transportation. We really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. I took the MAX to the airport with no issues at all. There is a ton of space, and a nice deck to drink coffee on :). Heads up that the mattress is very much a pull-out couch mattress. It's pretty squishy, so if you need a ton of back support, it may not be comfortable. Jodi was super communicative, and answered any questions promptly. Coordinating arrival was really simple. We loved it!

    Sweta2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean space. Nice neighborhood near public transit and other amenities. Would stay again!

  • Jodi was awesome and her place was fantastic! We stayed at Jodi's place during a convention at the Moda Center and her location was perfect. Great price too compaired to the local hotels. She's only two stops away from where we needed and only 4 stops on the metro from the heart of downtown. HELLO CLAWFOOT TUB! Awesome kitchen with everything you need to make meals while your away (great option for saving money while traveling) Jodi also has an awesome fridge!

Magic Barn, circa 1936, former sculpture studio restored by community artists with old growth barn wood, up-cycled furnishings, kitchen, claw foot bath, baby amenities, with a sculpture garden. Centrally located in the heart of a charming restaurant and boutique district; 3 blocks to both SE Hawthorne and Division St. 15 minutes to both the airport and downtown, there are 4 bus stops and rental bikes within 3 blocks, and ample street parking on our block. Natural cleaning products only.
Built with Love! Cannabis is legal in Oregon. You are welcome to responsibly smoke tobacco and cannabis outside only. There are many dispensaries within walking distance. We are permitted by the city of Portland to host ten guests total at a time at the Magic Barn and The Magic House which are adjacent. If you are a group of more than two, please send us an inquiry to see if we can accommodate your group. Family amenities are available upon request: portable crib, baby bath, high chair, etc. From 2000 to 2015 the Magic Barn was Todji's sculpture studio. Most of the sculptures in the sculpture garden were designed right here and are exhibited for everyone to experience. When Todji first moved into the main house as a renter, the Magic Barn was just an empty crooked shed with no electricity, water or heat and it was filled with trash. Todji purchased the old neglected rental in 2004 when self-employed artists could get a loan. After fifteen years of restoring the main house, while building a career as a sculptor, Todji and Gisele decided to convert the sculpture studio into a "Magic Barn" to host travelers and guests such as yourself! During the summer of 2015 Todji designed and built the Magic Barn with the talented carpenters and fine art painters Theo Holdt and TJ Ravenwolf. The interior wood siding are salvaged old growth barn planks, and the ceiling is made of the original 1936 rafters and sheathing. TJ’s painting is hanging above the couch. TJ is native American from the Alaskan tribes of Koyukon Athabaskan and Muscogee Creek. TJ collected all of the natural pigments in the painting from all around Oregon in prayer, and his prayer in painting now graces the Magic Barn. Todji and Gisele have taken on the profession of being Airbnb "Artist Inn Keepers" to help support the cultivation of their artistic practices, and to share their creative work with you. Todji and Gisele produce public art bronze sculpture monuments for US cities which you may already have seen, or that you may see one day, please feel free to take a postcard home and visit their sculpture website.
The Magic Barn is centrally located in one of the most charming and hip neighborhoods in Portland. With the center of both SE Hawthorne and SE Division St within 3 blocks, there is an abundance of restaurants, boutique browsing, grocery stores, neighborhood strolling, and park hiking options within walking distance. See a movie, or just step in to witness the beautiful and iconic McMenamin's Bagdad theater, accompanied by an incredible restaurant/bar/pool hall in the back called the "Back Stage Bar", at SE 37th and Hawthorne. It will give you a feel for classic Portland! We are minutes from Mt Tabor park which has a lovely forest with walking trails sitting upon a dormant volcano, and we are 45 minutes to the spectacular 600 foot tall Multnomah waterfall in the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge scenic area. Division is the new up and coming Southeast neighborhood. With lots of modern architecture, new restaurants and shops you will get a feel for the freshest vibe Portland has to offer. Here is a list to get you started: Restaurants: (The options are endless but here are a few popular favorites!) Serving Food Late - Sapphire Hotel at 50th and Hawthorne, Romantic and sexy atmosphere- great for late night drinks and gourmet bar food. Stumptown Coffee Roasters- 45th and Division, Classic Great Portland Coffee Trinket- One block away on Lincoln and 39th, great for Brunch with their locally sourced eggs!) Harlow- 36th and Hawthorne, Hip and Healthy, great for lunch, or fresh veggie juice. Por Que No- 46th and Hawthorne, Wildly popular Mexican with a great playful decor. (Don’t be intimidated by the line, you order at the counter, and then get a seat and your order will be out in no time) Pok Pok- 32nd and Division, There are literally 11 Thai restaurants in walking distance, but Pok Pok is the best. Began as a food cart, but grew into a Restaurant Empire. Worth the wait. Bollywood Theater- 30th and Division, Indian food small plates. Also along line but worth it! Salt and Straw- 33rd and Division, Food Networks top five ice creams! Super Popular! Lauretta Jeans- 34th and Division, Breathtaking Pies! Tidbit Food Cart Pod, 28th and Division, Fabulous food cart selection, lots of seating, including a beer garden and vintage clothing bus. A truly Portland experience. Hiking: The website of "Friends of the Columbia Gorge" has detailed information about many hikes in the scenic and nearby Columbia River Gorge. It is a 45 minute drive from here to enter the gorge. Below are the names of hikes that we love and recommend. Check the website to find a hike with a distance and fitness level that suits you. For those who are visiting the gorge for the first time, I recommend visiting the most spectacular, and also the most touristicated, 600 foot Multnomah Falls. For those who want a challenging half day hike you can begin at Multnomah Falls and hike a loop called the Franklin Ridge Loop. Multnomah Falls /Franklin Ridge Loop Eagle Creek Angels Rest Bridal Veil Falls Triple Falls Wahkeena Falls Groceries, Pharmacy and Shopping: New Seasons- Local Health Food Store (40th and Hawthorne) Fred Meyers- Local Department/Grocery store (Cesar Chavez and Hawthorne) Rite Aid Pharmacy- Drugstore/pharmacy (Cesar Chavez and Division) Powell’s Books- A smaller version of Portland’s famous Bookstore (37th and Hawthorne) Gold Door- Wonderful Imports from around the world (37th and Hawthorne) Enjoy!
  • Had a great one night stay. Quick response and even got an early check-in. Really unique and inviting space. Loved it!

    Adam2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Magic Barn is a work of art. Great thought and attention has been given to every detail. The space is beautiful and comfortable. Being set back behind the main house, far from the road, makes the Magic Barn feel private and secluded. You are close to busy neighborhoods but there's plenty of peace and quiet. Two different strips of hip and happening activity are a very short walk away. We found awesome shopping, coffee shops, and some of the best restaurants in Portland without getting in our car. The Magic Barn was worth every penny.

    Matt2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Visit was delightful. Giselle was warm and welcoming. The barn is lovely.

    Susan2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as pictured. Directly outside there are a number of amazing sculptures as well.

    Josh2015-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Magic Barn. It's even better than the photos, fabulously thought out and considered and the hosts, Todji, Gisele and Tessa are warm, lovely people. Probably the best Airbnb experience you could have - anywhere!

    Tristan2015-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • GREAT space and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The hosts were very sweet and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

  • This airbnb can only be described as HEAVEN! My husband and I instantly fell in love with the place. The pictures on the site, while pretty, still do not do the home justice. This is a must-see! Everything was beautiful and clean, and the thought and love that went into the design and decor are obvious. Our hosts are true artists. The old fashioned space heater was a wonderful touch, and I loved sitting on the adjacent couch to warm my feet by the fire. We ended up ordering grubhub in and spending the night hanging out in the magic barn rather than going out our last night, as the space is more unique, warm, and intimate than any restaurant. The yard was gated which made us feel safe. The neighborhood is great for walking and js a short walk to lots of restaurants, bars, and shops. We look forward to returning!

    Erin2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Todji and Gisele left us with ample information to enjoy the surrounding neighborhood as well as supplies in the barn to feel comfortable when back "at home." The listing represented the place well, though you can't quite capture in photos how cozy and charming the Magic Barn is. We loved being in walking distance of so many great cafes and stores.

Cute little Tiny House! It used to be our boys' fort when they were young, now it is a comfortable little retreat for adventurers exploring Portland!
Cute little back yard "granny flat" cottage located near Mt Tabor park in very desirable neighborhood! The cottage is "Portland Style" construction with excellent insulation (R30), new windows, etc.. Great host, free internet, parking, furnished living space that is quite private.. The cottage contains an upstairs bedroom & sitting area. Note: There are steep stairs, so please take that into account ~ if you have joint pain, etc. this might not be the best choice of places to stay... The QUEEN size mattress is new and comfortable. Downstairs there is a small kitchen with stove, microwave and under the counter fridge. Also downstairs is a full bath with ceramic tile shower. Coffee maker and freshly ground coffee provided in the cottage as well as complimentary muffins. At times a made to order hot breakfast is available, message me to see if it will be available during your stay :-D. Guests are welcome to use washer/dryer in main house. Guests have use of the back yard with fruit trees and some berries when in season. Also the cottage is within walking distance of Division street shops, Pizzicato pizza, the 52nd & Foster street Food Carts and much more. The # 4 bus is just a block and a half away, which can take passengers west directly downtown. The TRI-MET app or website is easy to use & can help you get you anywhere from the airport, to downtown, to Powells Books, The Chinese Garden, and so on.
South Tabor Neighborhood is a quiet eclectic little neighborhood with many avid gardners, friendly neighbors, and gobs of dog lovers. We have community get-togethers, work parties, and holiday celebrations! If you are used to neighborhoods where no one knows each other or even speaks to each other this is definitely NOT the neighborhood for you :-D
  • If you are planning on staying in Portland, stay with Lisa! Her backyard cottage has everything you need and is perfect for a vacation. Located in southeast Portland, you're super close to a lot of stores and local cafes, without having to deal with all the downtown craziness (but that's only about 10minutes away, if you're brave). Be sure to take her up on her breakfast, too! You won't regret it.

    Kody2014-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa is a delightful host and the cottage is very comfortable and conveniently located. Breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended.

    Chris2014-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. Clean, quiet, super cute. Breakfast was delicious and Lisa was really nice.

    Dara2013-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Lisa's South Tabor Cottage! We were only in town for one night but we loved the independence and privacy that the cottage afforded us. And it was SO AMAZING to be able to bring our dog Daisy with us! Thank you, Lisa!

    Molly2015-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely little escape! Lisa was a fabulous host, and I LOVE that she makes a homemade breakfast (and a vegan option!) and delivers it to you in the morning. This is one of the most hospitable and wonderful things, so please stay for the breakfast! My daughter and I had a blast--she has already requested that we return in the near future, and we absolutely will.

    Amanda2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa communicated well with us, regarding check in time and key location. We met her briefly the first morning, when she brought over breakfast. The breakfast meal was good, but too much food for either of us to finish. We should have requested smaller portions! The cottage was just as described, and we really appreciated the air conditioner upstairs. The bed was very comfortable. The lighting upstairs, and the comfy chairs, made reading in the evening pleasant, although the WiFi signal wasn't very strong. The location was perfect for what we had planned for our day in Portland. The neighborhood is very quiet, with family homes. Parking was convenient, either in the driveway or on the not-busy street.

    John2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great litlel place! Clean and inviting plus QUIET!! Thank you (Website hidden by Airbnb) was wonderful. We'd love to stay again.

    Rose2013-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • To be frank, South Tabor Cottage was such a wonderful place to stay. It was snuggled into a quiet suburban community with close knit neighbors. Lisa gave us our privacy and prepared some incredible food for us (seriously try the vegan burrito bar or the biscuits & gravy). Our cottage was only a mile or two from Division St, where you can find the renowned Pok Pok restaurant or the unique tastes of Salt & Straw ice cream. There is a Bus 4 stop right down the street which can take you downtown in a mere 15 minutes. Otherwise you can just mosey on over to Rain or Shine coffee to get your morning caffeine fix.

  • Great location and incredibly clean apartment. Small but comfortable. We were in town for a show at the Crystal Ballroom and the location of this apartment was perfect! We love Portland and can't wait to be back!

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in Brad's condo! If you're looking for a really big space, this isn't it, but it was plenty of room for the two of us and a fabulous location with lots to see within walking distance. It's also close to the Max and several bus lines. The condo was extremely clean (cleanest AirBnB I've stayed in thus far) and the French-inspired decor was a great touch! The building itself feels secure (code required before entering) though we did encounter a few pretty harmless homeless people around the front of the building on our first night. The building is pretty quiet; we were never disturbed by neighbors above/next to us. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience during our first visit to Portland. I'd absolutely recommend this place to my family/friends and would book again if/when we return to Portland.

  • Brad's place was amazing! Clean, cosy and easy-to-follow instructions for the guest. It's situated in a really great area too, close to nice shops, good coffee and walking distance to downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

  • My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We had our dog with us and really felt at home. We brought alone towels and blankets to cover the nicely appointed furniture in the studio a must for our four legged family member. The location is the best. We ate dinners in - which we bought at the Whole Foods down the street. I was a little confused with the check in - but Brad responded in seconds. I hope to visiting Portland again and hopefully can stay at Brad's wonderful home.

  • Brad's rental was a great for our first trip to Portland. The unit was exactly as described and could not have been located more centrally to everything we wanted to do. I would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to explore Portland as a local. Brad was an accommodating host and always very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again

  • My husband and I stayed in Brad's place during our visit to Portland and had a great experience. There is really no place better for the cost and location. We were extremely close to literally tons of 4 star restaurants and public transfer. The bed was a bit bouncy and pretty uncomfortable by the third night, but that said, I would stay there again.

Faith's apartment was the perfect stay for us on Portland. Communication and check in was really easy, the flat was clean and has a great bar and coffee shop opposite! Will be coming back!

Ann was a wonderful host! This lovely place is very well-equipped to make guests feel comfortable -- from bottle opener/corkscrew and glasses in the rooms to extra toiletries in case you forgot yours to a super-comfortable bed. We feel lucky to have found this cozy place. Thank you Ann! My only issue was that we didn't spend enough time there to hang out with their gorgeous kitty. Next time!

The Princess Suite at the Rainbow House was absolutely amazing in every sense. Every accommodation for me was made and then some. For instance, I got in from the airport quite late at night (around 11:30) and was still personally greeted and given a tour. The room itself was spectacular, had a chocolate and a personal "Welcome Matthew" message left for me. The people there were amazing, and the facilities were great! The location is ideal, as you are near a 24 hour grocery store, many restaurants (including those open late), comfortable bed, huge closet, and access to the bottom floor of the house with access to the kitchen and living room. A homemade breakfast is also offered, which pretty much shows how everyone goes above and beyond to make sure your stay goes well. I had to decline the breakfast as I had planned to leave quite early to go out for a wine tour in the Willamette Valley AVA (the Rainbow House is right off of major roads/interstates that go through Portland and the Oregon road that goes into the Willamette Valley AVA). My only regret was that I was only able to stay the night there (I was meeting friends who had booked a place for the rest of our stay). This will absolutely be the place I stay when I come back to Portland!
