  • This place is incredible. And Arlene? Is the consummate host. We were late due to traffic from London, horribly jet lagged, and Arlene went above and beyond to make sure we had breakfast and milk for our morning. The property itself is beautiful; until you've stayed in a converted church (especially this one), you don't know how opulent it can be! Sad we only had one night there, but would absolutely stay again given the opportunity. Highly recommended!

  • Great place, and good host, always there if you needed anything.

  • Arlene was a brilliant host and extremely flexible to accommodate our arrival time. The property was stunning and an ideal location for our Hamden Park AC/DC concert plus only 1/2 hour to the city. Would definitely stay again if the chance arose and would thoroughly recommend Arlene's place as would my 4 friends who also stayed.11/10!!

  • We had a truly enjoyable stay at Arlene's place. She was an excellent host and took all the trouble to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Not to mention her place is just gorgeous. The house has very high ceiling and huge windows, giving plenty of natural light. Great for kids and family. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

  • We had a great time at Arlene's place. She really makes you feel at home and her personal touch in the apartment is everywhere. The apartment is just like the pictures in her advertisement. From the outside the converted church is a magical surrounding and also the neighbourhood is really nice. You can park your car on a private parkingspace which is great. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk from Queens Park Rail Station and the train takes you downtown in 10-15 min. Next time we visit Glasgow we definitely consider renting Arlene's apartment again.

  • We have a wonderful time in Arlene's apartment. It really was like a home from home beautiful and comfortable and so accessble to the city. It also had all the facilities you would want wifi and smart tv. I could not recommend it enough. Many thanks Arlene. Maria

  • Lovely place! Really enjoyed our stay. Communication from Arlene was top notch. Thank you for everything!

  • Arlene was an warm welcome host, easy to communicate with. The house is incredible. We spent a lovely evening at her "lovely old church". And were unhappy not booked a little bit longer.

A large double room in our beautiful old (1824) townhouse, in the centre of historic Stirling. Stirling Castle is 10 minutes walk away; the rail & bus stations are 5 minutes. A help-yourself breakfast is provided in the room. On-street car parking.
The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a double bed, sofa, coffee table, books, board games and dvds (and a dvd player). There is wireless internet. Bread, fruit, cereal, porridge, yoghurt, tea and coffee are provided so you can help yourself to breakfast. There's a fridge, toaster, and kettle in the room.
Stirling is a great place to stay, and our house is right in the heart of it. You can visit Stirling Castle (recently voted best visitor attraction in Scotland!) and wander round the fascinating old town, with many buildings dating back to the 1500s. The Wallace Monument is just across the valley - in fact you can see it from the kitchen window! The best TripAdvisor restaurant in Stirling (Green Gates Indian) is 20 seconds away, with other pubs and restaurants nearby. Stirling is great for shopping, with lots of independent shops and all the big high street names. The beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs national park is a 30 minute drive away.

  • Rosa and Greg's place is on a quiet street and just a short walk away from the middle of Stirling. Clean and comfy, Greg was very welcoming and provided plenty of good info on the area.

  • Nice stay and nice room

  • We had a great time staying with Rosa and Greg. The room was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The house itself was within walking distance to both the city and the castle which was a major plus. We also got some great tips about things to do and nice restaurants which really made our stay in Stirling perfect. I would definitely recommend staying with Rosa and Greg!

Sehr empfehlenswert!

  • I really enjoyed staying with Rosa and Greg. The room is big and comfortable with all the things you could need, nice and warm with a comfortable bed. I felt very welcome and got help to find my way around the area and some nice walks to take. It's close to the castle, the centre, the train station, restaurants and supermarkets so I wouldn't want to stay somewhere else in the town and would be happy to come back.

  • Very friendly couple, in a really nice apartment, in the centre of Stirling. The room was perfectly furnished with tourist guides, board games, heaters, mini fridge... Breakfast was also good. Perfect experience!

  • Rose and Greg were great host, the room and bathroom facilities were very clean and cosy! Una casa molto accogliente, grazie A presto Pippo

Step directly through the garden gate on to the beach from our luxury, ground floor apartment in Fairlie Bay – a great base for exploring the beautiful coastline of Ayrshire & Arran, or a peaceful winter hideaway in the cooler months. The apartment is in a perfect spot for day trips to the likes of the Isle of Arran, Isle of Bute & the Isle of Cumbrae, as well the stunning Cowal Peninsular, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
With a backdrop of the sometimes snow-tipped mountains on the Isle of Arran and far reaching views over the islands of Cumbrae and Bute, The Beach Bothy is a special self-catering haven in the most idyllic of locations. Take a bracing dip in the sea, have a beach barbeque (wrapped in one of our blankets when it's a little chilly) or simply enjoy a long lazy lunch in the secluded garden and wait for the sun to set slowly behind the islands. During the winter get away from it all and put your feet up in front of the log burning fire after a walk on the beach. Bedrooms & Bathroom The Beach Bothy has two bedrooms, one with a kingsize zip and link bed which can be changed to two singles where necessary, and a double bed, both with 1200 pocket sprung mattresses and crisp white bedding. We also have a camp-bed if you have additional children you want to accommodate, as well as a travel cot for babies, if necessary. Kitchen/Living/Dining Room We have a beautifully fitted open plan kitchen/living/dining room, complete with Dualit toaster, brand new combination oven & microwave, gas hob, and everything we think you could need for a comfortable stay. Take a pew on our comfortable window seat around the kitchen table and watch for seals while you enjoy something to eat. Or in the evenings kick back and relax on our comfy sofa in front of the fire, with a movie or a book. For younger guests we have a Playstation 3 (with a selection of games) as well as board games such as Scrabble, Boggle, Monopoly & a deck of cards. There is also a small selection of children's toys as well as beach items such as a bucket and spade and a couple of deck chairs. Bathroom We have a modern galley bathroom, complete with a bath, and a stand-in electric shower. We supply white luxury towels and hand towels for all guests. Utility/Boot room At the rear of the property we have a utility/boot room, complete with a sink and a washing machine as well as a Sheila-Maid pulley airer for drying off wet clothes, beach towels, and walking or welly boots. Garden Directly outside our front window is our gorgeous front garden, which leads directly on to the beach. Pull up a deck chair with a drink and watch the sun setting behind the Isle of Cumbrae, or sit and eat lunch during the warmer days on a beach blanket.
Fancy trying some of Ayrshire's lovely seafood? The Catch At Fins Restaurant is a five minute drive away, which serves up award winning, seasonal, freshly caught Scottish seafood from the seas (and we can't recommend their farm shop highly enough for delicious home smoked fish, home made bread, and local produce) and coast around Ayrshire (booking essential.) Or if you fancy a laid back cocktail or a glass of champagne check out Scotts Bar & Restaurant – also within staggering distance if you fancy leaving your car behind.
  • we had the most wonderful stay in the accommodation. Cannot rate Sarah, her apartment, the location and general experience highly enough. Sarah did everything possible to make our stay as amazing as it was. Neighbours were lovely, view was incredible with the beach right on the doorstep. As for the apartment it was beautiful, had everything we could possibly need and the bed was extremely comfortable. We look forward to coming back here hopefully every year with our kids :)

  • We really enjoyed our stay. The property looks exactly as in photos. Wonderful to have the beach right next to you. Beautiful views and a great base to explore the local area. Lovely to be able to take our dogs too.

  • We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Beach Bothy. It was clean, welcoming and well equipped when we arrived with everything necessary for cooking. Being right on the beach made for a very relaxing stay, and despite the cold weather we were snug throughout. A very thorough guide was left by Sarah which we used to organise a very easy and enjoyable trip to the Isle of Arran (via public transport as we can't drive lol). Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing Scottish break - both very happy.

  • Thank you for the home away from home Sarah!!! It was wonderful in every respect. We look forward to an early return. Kind regards, Lorna and John

  • Clean, decorated nicely. Looks just like the pictures, great for a wee getaway by the beach.

Rani's place is very cosy and in a great location. Close to the university and Ashton lane for great restaurants. It is easily accessible by subway. Rani gave us great tips on what to do and visit. Would definitely stay there again.
A lovely stay. Located conveniently in the city center. Comfortable rooms, fully equipped kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.
