Just booked in Ollantaytambo
when you get to Ollantaytambo first you imagine it is, be within the story. Walking through these narrow streets , all built with stones and have next to water channels , which were built in the Inca era. CHASKA WASI is within the APU Pinkulluna . opposite the hostel we can see the tree Pisonay with more than 160 years old. There are also hikes of 1, 2, 4 and 6 hours. quarries, Inca bridge, Intipunku , Pumamarka and native communities ( Willoc , Yanamayo Patacancha ) ollantaytambo enjoy !!!
  • Beautiful room with beautiful views! Katty is a also great host.

  • Katty is a great host. She is very helpful with any information you need about Ollantaytambo or Peru in general. The rooms are very comfortable with a great view of the surrounding mountains. These rooms had the best view of any room we stayed in while in Peru.

  • Chaska Wasi it truely a magical place. We ended up spending two nights there instead of one.. and I wish we could have stayed longer! Katty was the best host we had in Peru. She was so welcoming and kind to everyone who was staying there. We arrived early and she took the time to makes us feel at home with some hot coca tea. We little kitties are adorable and cuddly. Our room was immaculate and even better than i imagined. The view was breath taking and the bed was super comfortable and warm with was amazing on 40 degree mornings. Katty also helped us a great deal arranging taxis and trains and making sure we got to see as much as we could with only 3 days in the mountains. Thank you again for everything Katty! Hope to stay again someday .. longer ! Jamie and Kelby

  • My favourite stay in peru. I have stayed in many places across thr world in airbnb, but this is one is the best. Room is much better in person than description. It's perfect for couples. It's not good for people who have mobility issues or families with todlers. This place has Katty helped us with tours and taxi bookings. She showed us around the city and provided us free breakfast, coffee and fresh juice for free (it's all included in the room). I would highly recommend this place to everyone. If you see this listing available for your days just BOOK IT. I promise you won't regrate it.

  • I couldn’t have found a better place to stay in Ollantaytambo! This was our first ever accommodation in Peru and it was absolutely unforgettable. Katty’s hospitality begins even before you land in Peru. She gave tips on Machu Picchu preparation in advance. She also arranged for our pick-up at the airport, followed by a tour of Moray & Salineras de Maras per our request due to our limited schedule. We enjoyed the tour and the kindness of her driver, Geronimo. The tour went smoothly despite our limited Spanish proficiency as Katty arranged the itinerary in advance per our request. Chaska Wasi is more beautiful than shown the photos, with a view of the mountains right outside the window. The property flourishes with plants, flowers, and friendly pets, is immaculately clean, quiet, private, and safe. The amenities are topnotch and wifi is reliable especially in the common area. It’s a 5-min walking distance to the main square, probably 10-min away from the train station, and close to money exchange counters, cafes, & restaurants. Katty is an amazing host and is so attentive to her guests’ needs, gives great tips and helps arrange your transportation. I would come back in a heartbeat!! Thank you Katty!!

  • Fantastic! The view is amazing! Katty is great, made sure we had everything we needed and organised taxis for us!

  • Place is FANTASTIC!!! Surrounded by mountains. At night, as you walk up the stairs to the room, look up the sky and you''ll be greeted by "Van Gogh's Starry night" Great breakfast and the hostess Katty is this loving, knowledgeable , beautiful woman! Ollantaytambo is a place to connect with nature and the Inca culture. Much more so than Cusco. I started my trip in Ollan and was very happy!

    Virginia2017-05-22T00:00:00Z

A quaint 4 room Bed and Breakfast uses the foundations of an Inca Building to to set the tone for your stay in "The Living Inca Village''. Breath taking views of the ruins on all sides and a lovely garden are made complete with fast Wi Fi. Clean.
We are in the old town of Ollantaytambo in an Inca building. The old town is a area of town that has all original Inca buildings and streets, we are on the upper edge of town where taxis can reach our door but otherwise these streets are pedestrian only. An Inca canal flows past one of our property lines, bringing a relaxing sound of water to the place. The contrast of having great showers and internet access while being in the old town of ollantaytambo is wonderful.
It is the only living Inca city, one of the most beautiful urbanization in the Americas, and full of Peruvian culture behind every door.
  • I like staying in this place. From the room balcony you can see the historical sites. Good to walk around. Good breakfast!

  • This BNB is just a short walk from the main plaza of Ollantaytambo. Not too far, but far enough that you can't hear the traffic and bustle. The room itself was nice, comfortable, and clean. Garden area is nice to do some beer after a long day. Breakfast is a great start to the day. Eddy is very nice and will give you advice if you need it. Would stay again!

  • Eddy was an amazing host. His rooms are really nice and warm!! (He was one of the few who had a heater in his room which was a much apreciated feature in this cozy room! The water was very hot which is also rare in this area. The WIFI worked really well and breakfast was good and decent. What was outstand when it comes to Eddy is that he really helped us when we stranded in Ollantaytambo very late at night when the teacher strikes took place and PeruRail let the passengers strand in this town. We didn`t know what to do but call Eddy as we stayed with him before if he had a room for the night. We came to his place again and although he didn`t have a room he helped us find a room in a closeby hostel which was really nice as well. He even carried our luggage for several miles to the hostel. For the next day we had to leave really early by cab in order to avoid the street blockades another time. He called one of his friends who drove us at 4 in the morning to our next destination. We truly apreciate all the effort Eddy made and we will never forget how he saved us when hundreds of people stranded in Ollantaytambo. Thanks a lot and we will definetly recommend you to our friends! Take care!

  • We visited for three days during the down season in early February so there weren't many people with us, but Carlo and Luis were there to help the whole time. Very great and friendly hosts. They arranged for our taxi pickup from Cuzco airport which was awesome!

    Erik2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo and Lucy are very nice, they give us a lot of help and advice on traveling. Carlo cooked delicious dinner for us.

    Ni2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Percy was looking after the place while Carlo was on holiday and we couldn't have been happier! The communication throughout was perfect and we were well look after by Percy and Lancelot (his puppy :) ) while we were there. Food was provided and the location is close enough to town but also secluded if you wanted to just chill :) Definitely recommend this location for anyone wanting an authentic experience in Peru with great hospitality

  • I was extremely happy that I chose to stay here. Carlo was very welcoming and helped me with whatever questions I had. The hostel was very nice and offered all of the amenities that I had been looking for. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning on making a visit to Ollanta.

    Marllene2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay, with a simple breakfast. The beds were comfortable, hot water in the shower, it's clean. Wifi doesn't really work in the room however, the walls are too thick (it worked a little on the computer but not with the cellphone).

    Fabien2018-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jean Paul was amazing, we left early in the morning to Machu Picchu and he packed fruits, water and juice for us. He also gave us instructions of how to get to the train station. Thanks :)

It has a wonderful “Wow made” Kapuli frame bunk bed with top quality mattresses and wool blankets for warmth and natural comfort. This room uses shared bath which has gas-fed 24 hour hot water Location Information: Once considered an afternoon stop-over on the way to MachuPicchu, more and more visitors are deciding to make Ollantaytambo the primary destination from whence they can experience the Sacred Valley and all it has to offer. In contrast to Cuzco, the small village atmosphere, lower altitude and easy access to incredible hikes has prompted many of our guests to feel more comfortable here and thus extend their stay. Ollantaytambo is called “the last living Inka village” as it has been continuously inhabited since the 13th century. It was the town for the Inkan Nobility and High Priests and once you are here it is hard not to notice the magic. So come walk the streets of gigantic jigsaw stonework or try some chichi (Inka Beer- fermented corn) with the indigenous people who are the direct descendents of the Inkas. Let us introduce you to some of these wonderful local people who can guide you into their world, provide cultural connection within traditional communities where tourist seldom venture and lead you on stunning treks through the natural wonder.
  • Casa De Wow!!! was a great place to stay! There were four of us, myself and my mother, and my brother and his girlfriend. My mother and I stayed in both bunkbed rooms and they were sturdily built and the one room was bigger than the other, which gave us more room to spread out, which was nice. The room my brother stayed in with his girlfriend had it's own bathroom which was nice, because we were all able to share that room to shower, which freed up the shared bathroom in the hall for others. You can't beat the views on the rooftop, and Roberto and his nephew Irwin were extremely helpful and welcoming. We had to stay in Aguas Calientes one night in between staying another night at Casa de Wow and they were kind enough to let us leave our luggage locked up at Casa de Wow while we were gone so that we didn't have to take it all with us and bring it back again. The shared kitchen allowed us to have breakfast and Roberto brought us back fresh hot bread one of the days, so delicious! Overall it was a great place to stay and the prices are the best we've seen in Ollantaytambo. Thank you for a wonderful time in Peru, Casa de Wow!!!

  • The place was very nice and the staff were friendly. There are alpacas on-site and very friendly dogs that will accompany you around the property. They provide a nice simple breakfast. The location is quite central, but it is a small town, so everything is within walking distance anyway.

  • They held our bags while we headed to Aguas Calientes. Close to Peru and Inca Rail. Convenient location to Ollantaytambo Ruins, and central to the plaza and food. Very responsive and even offer laundry services for a small fee per Kilo.

The wifi was a bit hard to connect to at first and it slowly crawled when a bus load of people showed up. But everything else was just fine!

Our beautiful house is located in a quite original Inca neighborhood from where you can enjoy the view of Ollantaytambo site. Your room is cozy, warm and has a queen sized bed, suitable for one person or a couple. We share our garden & kitchen.
In English: It is the perfect stay for Ollantaytambo. The room is so cosy and we definitly feel like home. Gabriela was such a perfect host, she helped us with everything, even if there were some protests in Peru, she offer us her appartment for an other night, because we can´t take a taxi or a bus to Cusco. Its the perfect stay and the perfect host for Ollantaytambo. Thank you so much Gabriela

  • I don't know from where to start and where to end about this beautiful and charming family. Gabi and her husband made the best time for me.They help me to get around the city and gave me tips for day trips near ollanta. Also they were incredibly hospitable and we had beautiful discussions about everything. .The room its just superb, stylish and traditional the same time.Amazing views of the sky and the ruins.Down is the kitchen and Gabriela 's art work shop with amazing creations. Also the little yard outside is cute and charming. The location is central but quiet, very very close to ruins that have breath taking (Website hidden by Airbnb) plus is that they have filtered water and they try to respect the environment around them. But I left the best for last. If you stay there you ll have the chance to meet a smart, joyful, bright little girl called llanua!!!Its their daughter and she was just making my day happier!! generally if I go there again in Ollantaytambo I ll stay there because when I left , ileft behind also very good friends! !!! Higly recommended! !!! Muchas gracias !!! ! Besitos!!!

  • Gabriela was an incredibly welcoming host! We arrived late in the evening and she was accommodating of our arrival and gave us recommendations of where to find food in the town. Her house is adorable. The downstairs is a small kitchen and her workshop/store with artisan souvenirs. The bedroom is larger than we expected and the bed is very warm and comfortable. It was amazing waking up and seeing the ruins from our balcony in the morning. Gabriela also let us leave our bags at the house while we explored the town during the day. Thank you Gabriela for making us feel welcome in your home!

  • Gabriela & Nilton provide a very nice, neat room for me. And they really have a simple but cute atmosphere in the family. Nilton even borrowed his bike(a very good one) to me for a morning biking( it costs 35$ in the tour agency).

Welcome to our home! The rooms are comfortable and have a magnificent and wide view of the mountains. We have a great point of view. Our house is traditional of Ollanta and is a quiet area,it is located outside the center of the city in the pyramid of Pakaritampu The house is shared with us since we live on the site. Accommodation is good for couples, adventurers, business travelers, families (with children)
our neighborhood is very quiet, we live near the farms so you will always hear the trill of birds the crowing of roosters

  • Perfect! It was my best experience within 3 weeks in Peru! Very loving family, super nice room and no noises, not as cold at night and not hot during day thanks to thik adobe walls. Very clean room and beds. I enjoyed healthy meals with the family every lunch for a reasonable price and went with Ana to her garden and Chacra where she grows own food and food for her animals. All family members are very kind and loving and we could talk many clever and interesting things (very different to other peruanos I met) I learnt a lot and we shared many nice moments also at the evenings in her bright and spacious dining room. All made with love, coffe and cake etc. I also could use the washing machine for a really good price. I recommend this place to everyone 100%! Lukely I speak well spanish cause only the daughter speaks english. But sure even without a lot of communication you will feel at home and you will understand all you need even if Katia is at work. She also replies to (Hidden by Airbnb) during work and wifi worked perfect sll times. Hope to may return, wished I could stay longer in this peacefull paradise and environment. ☀️ A small grocery shop is just around the corner, very kind family too and reasonable prices.

  • A great place to stay! Ana and her family are warm and kind! They invited us for a wonderful native breakfast! Home feels! Will definitely stay again.

    pi2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great. The family members were amazing hosts and we had a chance to spend some time getting to know them (and their dogs and cats :)) their lifestyle, and the gardens Ana Maria works to provide food for the family. Ana Maria made us a great breakfast one day for a very modest price. The house is away from the main plaza (about a 10 minute walk) and right next to the fields - just far enough to be away from most of the other tourists but close enough to feel in the mix. The rooms are both connected to the family's home, but also disconnected - you have your own entrance. The water was warm, wifi worked well, and the beds were comfortable. Ana Maria has many amazing stories to share. This is a great option to have a more personal connection with people in the town - and very affordable. Highly recommended.

  • AMAZING! I wish I would have stayed much longer in this tranquil, beautiful, comfortable home. Very stylish, clean and spacious. We especially loved the big and well stocked kitchen, outside fire pit and hammock/yoga space upstairs. Huayuki is a thoughtful and friendly host ready to help with anything we needed. A little bit of a walk from the center of town but a short, cheap ride on mototaxi and we loved being away from the noise and busyness. This is one of my favorite places in Peru!

  • We only stayed for one night before going to macchu Picchu but Irvins place is great. It has great nature feeling

    Tibor2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in May. The sun came up late and went down early (due to location in canyon). Therefore, the House was cold most of the time. Hot water in shower only. Drinking water was not provided. Several dogs in yard are very friendly but barked through the night a couple nights-earplugs required! Great location for walking to town. House is very small with cramped bathrooms but it was okay for our small family of 3. Value equates to around $30/night for this place, as is, and would be good for budget travelers.

    Mark2018-05-19T00:00:00Z

    Gerard2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Huayki's guest house is a beautiful place in a beautiful pueblo. The space is exactly as described, although it is impossible to describe the tranquility and beauty of the space! We particularly liked both the Yoga space and the courtyard, but were also really happy with how well the kitchen was equipped. And the kids fell in love with the animals, particularly when Rin Tin Tin and his fellow pup followed us into town for our two days of adventure! Huayki was a great host, organizing a ride for our family from Cuzco and making us altitude tea with Coca and mint upon our arrival. He then allowed us to enjoy our space while keeping in touch via email. What a great option for accomodation only ~10 mins walk from the center of Ollanta! We wouldn't consider alternative accommodation should we be fortunate enough to be in Ollantaytambo again, unless Huayki already has guests booked!

    Michael2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Huayki was an excellent host who made us feel at home. He was very friendly and talked about his Inca ancestry. It was a great cultural experience as well. He cooked us breakfast for a fee, and also gave us a soup one evening from home grown vegetables. I highly recommend his place and it is also very good value. We walked up to the town but coming back in the night we took a taxi. It was a good experience for us. Christine

    Christine2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Irvin is amazing. His house is peaceful, close to everything. Always had hot shower. Loved every minute. Irvin built a nice fire for us, and rin tin tin walked to town with me every day. For persons wanting a spiritual experience in ollanta, look no more.

It is not a shared bunk room. It is downstairs and has two wonderful “Wow made” bunk beds with top quality mattresses and wool blankets for warmth and natural comfort. This room uses shared bath which has gas-fed 24 hour hot water shower. Location Information: Once considered an afternoon stop-over on the way to MachuPicchu, more and more visitors are deciding to make Ollantaytambo the primary destination from whence they can experience the Sacred Valley and all it has to offer.
  • Win & Wow are definitely one of the greatest hosts out there. I can truly say I have no complaints with this stay. Whatever question you have, they'll have an answer for you one way or another. Definitely staying here when I return to Ollantaytambo.

  • O hostel é bacana. Fica a uns 7 minutos do centro caminhando. O chuveiro é meio maluco, esquenta, esfria.. rsrs..

  • Casa de Wow was amazing! We stayed for 3 nights and could've stayed longer. I highly suggest staying there after Machu Picchu - take the train and then spend the night in Ollantaytambo. It is the best way to wind down a bit after a big day. Delicious breakfast, very comfy beds, kind hosts! Gracias para todo!

  • We loved Casa de Wow so much, we changed our travel plans so that we could stay another night. It is on a charming little street and it felt very homey. The beds were comfortable and breakfast in the morning was nice. The space has a great ambiance and everyone was very welcoming. The location is great, we couldn't have asked for anything better.

  • Overall very good experience. Although we just got there to sleep, Roberto and his wife very nice people and place was clean and confortable! I will recomend this place and to stay in Ollantaytambo cause the town is really nice, quite and beautiful!!!

  • We had an amazing time at casa de wow! Winn made us feel right at home and Wow shared some of his inca heritage with us. Winn makes great breakfast and coffee and helped us with translating and organizing a day trip to the maras. Loved every minute of our stay, relaxing before the big inca trail adventure. It was great getting used to the altitude on a lower level than Cusco. The place was very clean, had hot showers and good wifi. Thanks again for opening your home to us Winn & Wow!

A quaint Bed and Breakfast uses the foundations of an Inca Building to to set the tone for your stay in "The Living Inca Village''. Breath taking views of the ruins on all sides and a lovely garden are made complete with fast Wi Fi. Clean. balkony.
  • We only met Victor when we checked in and he was very nice. The rest of our time was with Yoshi who was very helpful and offered great conversation.

    Eddie2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nice small quaint room with attached bath, double bed and twin bed. The balcony gives a nice view of the ruins and overlooks Patacalle. We enjoyed the garden sitting area for a late nite glass of wine!

    Damien2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The only problem was the hot water. Not enough for everyone staying there. We would still stay there again though because everything else was perfect. It's right across from the ruins. Gorgeous views. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The place is very charming and the staff is wonderful. They are sweet, kind and helpful. We loved this place. Thank you!

  • This little place is so cute and has some amazing views. The city is full of charm and gives you a taste of authentic Peruvian culture. When our plans fell apart with our train to Machu Picchu, we were thinking we wouldn't be able to go, but Eddy made some arrangements for us and we were able to go! He also made sure we had another room to stay in even last minute. He really came through for us- amazing host!

    Erika2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is what we needed, we were the only guests which made it seem private. Fortunately communicated with hosts with enough time to be prepared, logistics and expectations. Not to far, nice part of town in our way to hike out towards pumamanta. When water wasn't hot, Víctor solved it. They prepared snack for our 4am departure which was nice.

  • We had a terrific stay! We were pleasantly surprised to have our own bathroom and TV in the bedroom. The location is very central and easy to find, and local restaurant tips were offered by our gracious host on arrival. Although we informed our host that we would not require breakfast on the morning of our checkout due to the early departure, we came downstairs to find bagged lunches waiting for us! We could not have asked for a better room, location, or host. Thank you so much!

A piece of History in Time, this Inca store house is a place for artists, garden lovers and people of all types who enjoy nature or history. With flowers and fruit trees everywhere, we are home to hummingbirds and amazing views and hikes right out the door. A couple of blocks from the main square and 10 minutes from the train and Inca ruins
Check out these reviews: Definitely the best place we stayed on our tour through the sacred valley. Our only disappointment was that we booked just one night here. This compound takes up a full block of ollantaytambo, hidden behind ancient stone walls and nestled into the best part of town. It's less than five minutes by foot up from the plaza de armas (town center) and located just beneath incredible ruins that are viewable from multiple vantage points throughout the property. The space is perfectly rustic, private and accessible via a cobblestone street that is only wide enough for people. The absence of cars made for a super quiet retreat. The rooms have private entrances from an outdoor terrace, comfortable beds (a rarity here) and loads of charm (white, sparse, high ceilings, wooden beams and old wooden floors). The shared bathroom downstairs was never once in use when we needed it and we enjoyed bumping into fellow travelers in the shared kitchen. The yard and garden area is immense. There's a fire pit, hammock, local herbs for picking, a pet sheep and tons of space to read and write. Nicole was incredibly welcoming and her kids added loads of charm. Get a room here before it books up months in advance. Incredible value for the price. Incredible compound in a magical setting. Photos don't do the place justice. Rooms are private, big and extremely comfortable. The vibe is so so good and the hosts are top notch. Marta cooked us a delicious breakfast and we had no idea this was included in our stay! Rooms are accessible via their own outdoor entrances, so while the listing says shared, this isn't really the case. It's far more private than anticipated. We didn't mind the shared bathrooms as each one had a shower with ample hot water. Good luck gathering the motivation to leave and explore. We were so comfortable relaxing in the garden and could have easily dreamed away for days. A plus! This was my best airbnb experience to date, and I've had some pretty good ones, so that's saying something! The house is absolutely magical. As soon as you walk in the door to the courtyard you feel like you've stepped back in time. The rooms and architecture are beautiful, with gorgeous beamed ceilings. The garden is a true sanctuary, overflowing with delicious fruit, useful herbs, and a very playful sheep. We loved lounging around outside, surrounded by flowers, with the mountains and ruins in the background. We loved looking out from our windows onto the cobblestone streets of Ollantaytambo and falling asleep to the sound of the ingeniously-diverted river that runs through the town. Best of all is Martha, who runs the house for Bill and Nic. She is so lovely and helpful. Her advice, care, and friendly conversation made our stay in town so special. The house is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, a cozy base exploring the sacred valley, or even a spot for a destination wedding (it definitely crossed our minds...). We were on the fence about whether or not to visit Ollantaytambo, and I can say without a doubt that it was one of the highlights of our trip. Make sure you book for at least two nights. You'll want as much time as possible at this incredible hidden treasure!
Ollanta is an old Incan town built on Incan ruins. Our house is surrounded by a completely intact inca wall and has a true Inca Canchon (storage house and space) inside the walls.
  • MUST STAY. Not only is the place nice but the hosts went above and beyond to help me and 5 friends enjoy Peru. We were only there for one night on our way to Machu Picchu yet Bill and Nic helped us ensure we had tickets to Machu Picchu and transportation to and from the hotel and Machu Picchu. And when we ran into some hiccups last minute they still fixed everything and our only communication was through email! Truly the best airbnb I've stayed.

    Katie2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a relaxing five days in Ollantaytambo, hanging out in the large, peaceful garden (hammocks, birds, plants), exploring the town (the ruins, the granaries, La Esquina and Chuncho restaurants, shopping, the organic farm by the railway), venturing to Machu Picchu, and chatting with housekeeper Martha over her delicious egg breakfasts. Thanks, especially, to her for her help and friendliness.

    Tom2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly wonderful. I can't imagine a better location to serve as my base camp for the weeks that I was in Peru. The town is small and beautiful and smells like campfire all the time. Bill and Nicole's place is just a few blocks up from the Plaza de Armas - a perfect location. It also has the most amazing garden with fruit trees and geraniums and peace lilies and hammocks to relax in after a long day of hiking ruins. You'll be able to spot their place from any of the nearby hies because of the massive area of green. Martha was absolutely amazing. She can help you with anything you need from directions, to arranging a cab to take you on a ruins tour for the day. She also made breakfast every morning. Fresh bread from one of the shops in town with jam and butter, coffee, and eggs if you want them. There's also fresh fruit like bananas and oranges. My room was great and clean and plenty warm. I would recommend ear plugs because you never know when a festival might be going on in town. The WiFi is spotty but never bothered me. The showers we always clean and had hot water and decent pressure. I was traveling alone and I never once felt unsafe or uncomfortable. I can't say enough good things about my stay in Ollantaytambo. Whenever I return to Peru I will be sure to make a stop here.

    Marilee2018-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • This house is an oasis of tranquility! People should rethink their short stay in Cusco and extend it to Ollanta, to enjoy this Inca gem, relax and wander through this beautiful town. Ms. Martha is a very kind hostess. The beautiful garden deserves special honors.

  • Great value, quick booking experience, good location. We needed a place to stay in Ollyantaytambo last minute due to the change in PeruRail's schedule Sept 12. We were able to quickly and efficiently book this room. Rooms are as described, in a nice central location. Breakfast in the morning and hot showers.

  • This is without a doubt the most privileged house in Ollantaytambo, with its huge green garden at the foot of a cliff with important ruins. Gorgeous and central location.

Tradicional farm house in the Ollantaytambo, with all the basic things you might need in this town. You can see the archeological site , from the place. your bedroom with bathroom a kitchen, and dining room, a roomy living room, Garden
Away from the big cities, right in the arqheological town of Ollantaytambo, close to animals sheeps cows, hens and ... horses. with in the property. the place has all what you will need kitchen dinig room , living room, hot water and nature
5 minutes walking to the ancient town of Ollantaytambo, A bit treacky to get, so better call us from the plaza de armas, and Benito will come to pick you up. Ollantaytambo is visited mainly walking, no taxis needed.
  • Walter's place is on a small working farm on the outskirts of town. We loved being outside of the touristy areas and the views were spectacular. Better still, we got to feel like a part of the farm, getting to know the animals, including one of the nicest dogs we've ever met and even a lamb born on Mothers Day. We were able to arrange some horseback riding around the fields as well. The onsite caretakers are a lovely couple and we enjoyed getting to know them (hot tip: Florentina is probably one of the best weavers in town and the work for sale in her shop is some of the best we saw in Peru). The accommodations themselves are very spacious; the kitchen and living room are accessed by separate outside doors. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked to do some serious cooking. This is an excellent choice, particularly for a longer stay as a base for exploring the Sacred Valley. Most towns are an easy colectivo trip away, and Macchu Picchu can be visited as a day trip from here as well. Highly recommended for travellers interested in getting to know what life in a traditional Peruvian town is like.

  • Not as far from the central plaza as we thought! Stunningly beautiful setting. Benito arranged horse riding for us, magical time was had! Be aware that there are different caretakers there, so there are always people present (this could be because we were there on the weekend), but everyone was very friendly. It helped that I speak Spanish- if you don't, you may struggle a little. No provisions provided, other than some dried goods in a cupboard from previous tenants perhaps? we were shown how to work the hot water unit, were shown the keys to each area (kitchen is at the very end, the sitting room at the opposite, accessible only though going outside), there had been a pot burnt on the stove just before we arrived, and Benito apologised immediately for the very strong smell- this stuck around our whole stay, despite airing out the kitchen. The accomodation side of things was very basic, the bathroom didn't feel clean, with leftover bits of soap, old tubes of toothpaste and some dirty paper cups in the window sill. We used flip-flops in the shower, as I tried cleaning it but it was too big a job. From this perspective, in comparison to other accommodation in Ollantaytambo, it is overpriced. Washing machine seemed like too much of a hassle to drag out, connect to the water heater, gather water (the water ran dry), so we found a local laundry instead. However, the setting.... That is what makes this worthwhile! In the end, nothing beats the stunning paddock where the animals graze (just ask to see it, you may not think to wander out there), the field of pretty crops in front of the bedroom windows, and the rustic charm of the place. My husband couldn't sleep comfortably, as the double (full) size mattress wasn't very big ( he is tall) and had a noticeable dip on his side, and the rooms get dirty quickly due to all the dirt and animals being right outside. The smell didn't bother us, it just smells like a farm and horses. :-) The little dog Sussie is friendly and good with little kids. Benito is great and outgoing, but he had to leave to go somewhere, and since we didn't have wifi, nor cell phone access, we had no way of contacting him if we needed something, though everything was alright. If written information was provided on arrival (in English for those who don't have good Spanish) on certain practical matters, this would help immensely. Also be warned that as it is a working farm, you may be woken by clients as the door wanting their morning milk. We were up early, so the loud bell only woke me once. Consider this place an experience instead of a mid priced hostal. Will never forget the beautiful surrounds.

  • My party arrived at ollantaytambo much later than expected, but Walter sent Benito to get us without a hitch. We had an extra bed set up and were offered tea in the kitchen. I couldnt ask for better service. All in all a very pleasant stay

  • Truly a fantastic place to stay. The ruins are in clear view, the river, our own little farm to relax on. Benito and the rest of the staff are very welcoming, highly reccommend!!!!

  • We loved the tranquil setting of Walter's farmhouse. It is located just outside of the town walls and an easy and pleasant, 10 minute walk to the center of lovely Ollanta. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed it very much. My kids enjoyed watching the cows and horses each day. We made friends with the farm dog. We sat outside and enjoyed the gorgeous setting. Walter was available by text and email, and there was someone at the farm to help us most if the time. The farm house accommodations are basic but clean and adequate for my family. There is a portable heater available if needed on cold nights. Shower is hot and Benito helped us increase the pressure. My husband speaks Spanish, which helped with communicating with everyone. My kids enjoyed the use of Netflix and the wifi. I communicated with Walter a few times and he was always responsive and helpful in English.

  • The moment we arrived, Benito found us at the main Square and showed us to the farm house. The farm house is a cozy, beautiful and peaceful place. Pascual lives there with his son and wife, a very friendly dog, a funny young lamb, 4 horses, 2 cows and chickens. They are wonderful and very helpful people (Pascual would fix any inconvenience as soon as possible) and we enjoyed a great stay.

  • This place is a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I’d say it’s underrated. The location is so convenient (we walked to the train station and the Plaza) and is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention the warm welcome we received. Our hosts were more than accommodating and picked us up from the Plaza in Ollantaytambo. We were shown where the train station is in relation to the house and saw were given some tips about good places to eat or have ice cream. This place is a 10/10, and the hosts are too! Highly recommend

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Walter's lovely farmhouse on the edge of Ollayantambo. Many hours were spent sitting in the quiet garden, enjoying the beautiful mountain views including some amazing ruins, playing with the friendly dog and lamb, reading and writing in the sun. The accommodation is basic but completely comfortable and looked after. The cosy kitchen is well equipped and we cooked all our own food during our stay. The caretaker and his family are also very nice and helpful. It's a great place to base yourself and explore the surrounding areas.

Full Moon Eco Lodge is the perfect place to experience the true Sacred Valley and the living Inca village of Ollantaytambo. We are located in the heart of Ollantaytambo, but have a peaceful and quiet setting with views of the Sacred Valley.
The double room accomadates two individuals with a private bathroom. Included in the price is breakfast and use of *NEW IMPROVED WI-FI* in common areas.
  • Close to the centre. Host very helpful.

    Bogdan2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The location is easy to find and close to the village centre. The breakfast and the garden are nice and the communication with the hosts was fine. The were friendly all the time. The room was standard and the bathroom looked a little old but the water was warm very fast. It was alright for the price and we can recommend to stay here.

  • Cozy place, with a homey feel, enjoyed it here. Breakfast was a great added bonus. Great out door decor and breathtaking view of the stars. Bathroom is clean!

  • A short walk from the main town square of Ollantaytambo, one enters a doorway into the walled retreat of Full Moon Eco Lodge. You follow a brief pathway through lush gardens and overhanging trees to a peaceful tranquil getaway. The lodge building is inviting. The staff kind, thoughtful, relaxed yet attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a nice breakfast in a separate outbuilding. Restful hammocks available for relaxing and soaking in the sunshine and beautiful views. Great experience, lovely people, close to town, highly recommended.

    Jay2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • This really is a lovely spot, mountain right next to it, a wonderful natural style with the covered entrance walk, the hammocks and garden etc. Very nice and hospitable hosts.

  • Beautiful town in the Sacred Valley. The house is gorgeous, the staff are incredible friendly and helpful. An excellent choice if heading to Ollantaytambo!

  • Lodge looked exactly as in pictures! Beautiful place to stay. Relatively clean with a couple bugs here and there. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful for things around the city. Breakfast was very generous. Only thing is don't ask them to get you a taxi if you are planning on going to another city - go to the plaza and you can find one for a lot cheaper.

  • Our stay at Elder's place was fantastic, we loved it, it was very clean and Vilma and Elder were very attentive. the place it is very close to the plaza and it is very easy to get to. the place it is just like the photos, we would love to go back. ¡Hablamos tu idioma!

  • The listing said it was a double room, but it wasn’t. The WiFi didn’t work at all. There was no toilet paper, the shower floor had some hairs and didn’t look completely clean. One of the towels had a questionable brown stain on it. The sheets had a weird, musky smell. Other than all of that, Eusebia was very sweet and good at communicating. It was just an issue of cleanliness and not really what we expected based on the listing. This was a hostel that was not worth $40/night.

  • Highly recommended! Nice cozy room. The location couldn't be better as it's a 2-3 min walk to the main square and the streets are charming, antique, and very safe. Gina's family met me on arrival and were very helpful (the stored my luggage while I went to MP and helped me get a cheap cab on departure). PS: I don't speak Spanish so if you're in the same position, get a SIM card and use (Hidden by Airbnb) translate).

  • The place is located on the main road in Ollantaytambo. The room was small but there were no people except me so big enough. The main problem was no hot water in the shower and very stinky towels.

    Elwira2017-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Almost everything was perfect, I even had the room only for me when it was supposed to be for 4 people but I didn't like the fact there was only one socket in the room and the next day taking me last shower to leave, the hot water didn't work, the wifi is not good and I had to freeze myself outside the room in order to use it so the place has great potential but some stuffs need to be fix or enhanced.

CHASKA WASI Te va a encantar debido a the room made of pure stones, giving the feeling of being part of the mountain !! with the typical view of two tree called PISONAY, which has over 160 years of antiguedad.desde our place we have a path that leads directly to the Pinkulluna colcas. from where you can have a nice view of the town and in front of our door you can find a hundred niches that come from the time of the Incas, Come be part of this mountain and feel their energy!!!
when you get to Ollantaytambo first you imagine it is, be within the story. Walking through these narrow streets , all built with stones and have next to water channels , which were built in the Inca era. CHASKA WASI is within the APU Pinkulluna . so we have our own entrance on the colcas . opposite the hostel we can see the tree Pisonay with more than 160 years old. There are also hikes of 1, 2, 4 and 6 hours. quarries, Inca bridge, Intipunku , Pumamarka and native communities ( Willoc , Yanamayo Patacancha ) in general can ask how to get to places. Ollantaytambo is the last living Inca town!

  • The room was very beautiful and airy. Great location as well. It's only a few minutes walk away from the main square and the Ollantaytambo ruins. The hosts were very sweet and kind people. This place was the most expensive place we stayed at during our trip as we were two college students traveling on a budget but our splurge was well worth it. We wanted to stay longer as well but there were other towns and cities to visit. Would definitely recommend anyone staying in this town to stay here.

  • We booked and confirmed a two day stay with the host. We booked this establishment because they host is an author, Winn, and has written on a topic of personal interest. I wrote to the host before booking advising of my interest in meeting with her and in discussing her book. My reservation was extended accepted. I received an email from the host providing details of my booked room which included a private bathroom and also providing options for my airport pick up. We arrived at the airport and waited for an hour before realising that the host had not arranged our airport pick up. We then arranged privately for transport to the host accommodation. When we arrived, Luciana greeted us asking if we had made a booking to stay a the Casa. I confirmed that we had and that I had written confirmation of reservation. She checked her bookings and confirmed that, infact, we had booked. She asked us to wait in her living room and returned about 15 minutes later and led us to our room. When I enquired as to why we did not have a private bathroom as per my booking, she advised that AirBnB may have erred in the confirmation correspondence that I had received and promised that if her other guests did not arrive, that she would move us to the bedroom with private bathroom. We did not hear from her again on this issue until we left when she apologised for the mess up with our room and wished us well on our onward trip. During our stay, we were invited by Luciana to a talk on the history of the Incas by Wow. We rushed for the 5pm appointment - nobody arrived - not even Luciana or Wow. Needless to say, we never did meet Winn during our entire stay and no mention was made of my emails to her regarding our meeting and planned discussions. What an awful trip! And one for which I have saved for and planned for for many many years.........

  • The view from the room was nice and the house was located in a safe area of the small town of Ollantaytambo. Our second day there the water did not work for quite some time. The next day after that absolutely no water came on when I turned the knob for the hot water. I went down stairs and told them and they laughed and one person attempted to fix it. They said it would be 10 minutes. Waited and he later informed me it was working. It was not. I told them again and Stephen said it was fixed, it was not. I told them again and same thing. The water would flow for a few seconds and that would be it. After the fourth time I said something I never received a follow up. We showered with ice cold water and could hear a group of them talking and laughing downstairs instead of tending to the issue. It was all quite fustrating. Besides that, the bedroom was okay, sheets had hair on them from previous stays, and the bathrooms were never cleaned. Breakfast was okay.

  • We were a little disappointed. They arranged to pick us up at the train station, and never did. When we contacted them they didn't answer, so it was a long walk up hill with heavy backpacks to find the place. The sheets were lightly stained, no hot water and room was pretty cramped. I can usually deal with anything, but my girlfriend wasn't very pleased. On the plus side, breakfast in the morning and walking distance to the ruins. If you need a cheap place to sleep for the night, it gets the job done.

  • I am very appreciative with Edith not just with my lodging but because she helped me purchase my shuttle service from Cusco airport and my train to Machu Picchu. The lodging is very scenic with the view of the mountains and river. The room is quaint and cozy. The water pressure in the bathroom is excellent. I just wish the water is much more warmer. They have good dining area. Edith can easily be reached by What's Up. She is just 10 minutes away from Vistadome. I will travel with my husband next year and stay at Perú Quechuas Lodge again . Highly recommend it.

  • The location is beautiful. Wake up to a beautiful Vista. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful...even to try to teach us some Spanish. We used (Hidden by Airbnb) translate a lot...smiles all round. Easy to walk around town.

Our cozy home is a place to relax and feel one with nature. The house was constructed from natural and recycled materials that insulate the house, keeping it warm at night and cool during the day. We live "off the grid" without electricity and running water. We have hot bucket showers, potable water, solar lights, usb chargers, and pocket wifi. Our home is slightly removed from town (10 min. walk), surrounded by farms and mountains. We are in an ideal location for campfires and stargazing.
Tantakuy is a small house with a total of three rooms. The hosts' room is separated from the guests' room by the shared kitchen/living room. The bathroom is located outside of the house with a separate entrance. ***This listing is to book the entire guest space (maximum of 4 guests).*** The guest room has 2 single beds and 1 double bed. You can also book individual beds here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24010949 - single bed https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24162254 - single bed https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24200436 - double bed
The neighbors are few but very friendly. The house is surrounded by farms of corn, potatoes, wheat, quinoa, quiwicha and flowers. It is common to see local people walking by to go work on their farms. There is a dirt "road" that passes the house but it is very rare to see cars. There are some dogs in the area but they are friendly.
  • I definitely recommend Lucho's house and the whole experience! His casita ( Walking distance from the city market and the main plazza) is a master piece that he built himself in a peaceful spot facing a picturesque view of the mountains of the Sacred Valley... just amazing! Luis is very knowledgeable and can tell you a lot about the history of country ...and way more. We loved the Hospitality, kindness, flexibility and availability. My friend and I totally enjoyed our stay and I will come back again!

Pura vida!

  • Luis’s place is absolutely amazing. It is far enough away from the main town of Ollantaytambo to feel completely secluded in the country, but it is at the same time a very easy walking distance from the town. I planned to only stay my first night in the Cuzco area at this house, but ended up deciding to rebook for 3 more nights. I fell in love with the Ollantaytambo countryside in large part because of this hostel. Luis is an amazing host, and the whole experience is absolutely memorable. He showed me so much in the area. I did not expect so much for this stay. Absolutely book with this hostel.. PS: The home has 3 main rooms, and the hostel room is not attached to the host’s bedroom.

  • Lucho’s place was better than expected and he is an extremely friendly and nice person. We had a great time. Definitely have to go there with an open mind as his place is unique and different from your typical hotel.

    Jonathan2018-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Luis’s place was everything we could ever imagine! Secluded from the busy streets of Ollantaytambo but close enough to walk to any place you’d like to see in the town including the ruins and the train station to Machu Picchu. Luis offered many stories about the culture of Peru and was extremely easy to communicate with. His place is very warm at night surprisingly and staying here makes you appreciate the simple things. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Ollantaytambo!

  • What an experience! If you're looking for a truly unique stay in an incredible part of the world you can't pass up a chance to stay with Luis. His house is incredible. He built it himself over the last year. So many personal touches. The earth walls kept it much warmer inside than I expected on such cool nights. The view of the valley, the mountains, and the fields out his front door is breathtaking. Luis was a gracious host, offering to pick us up in town and drive us to his place (though it's only a 10 minute walk from the center of town). He also helped us better understand his choices to live off the grid. It's amazing how little we need to be happy. Thank you, Luis, for sharing your world with us. If you're visiting Machu Picchu, there's no better way to relax after the long hike than with a stay at Luis'.

  • Lucho is such an amazing person, with whom we had the pleasure of having wonderful conversations with. The house that he built is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous view of the stars at night. It was fun hanging out with him and the neighbour's dogs Sully and Jackson! Lucho provided some great local advice on where to hike in the area and where to eat. Lucho was especially helpful when we had trouble finding our bus to Hidroelectrica. We wish we could have stayed for longer! We'll definitely be back. Thank you again for everything!

  • The rooms where as depicted. Very clean. The breakfast was good. There is a bit of house on street but nothing too anoying. Extremely close to the Ruins. Host were delightful and kind.

  • Good location in Ollantaytembo, right down the street from the train station. Had a breakfast there before we went to Machu Picchu. The rooms each all had a private shower which was great.

  • This was extremely close to the train station, which was very nice as we had to catch the train early in the morning for Machu Picchu. Jose made us a great breakfast and also packed us lunches for our Machu Picchu trip. His father helped us go around to Maras, Moray, and Chinchero, and was very kind. The family overall is very welcoming and friendly, highly recommend!

  • We had a great time in Ollantaytambo. The place is right across the street from the local ruins, which were beautiful, and very close to the train station. Downstairs there is a restaurant with Amazing wood fired pizza. Just be sure to let them know you will be wanting pizza so they can have the oven hot for you. Breakfast was delicious and Jose was very friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

A piece of History in Time, this Inca store house is a place for artists, garden lovers and people of all types who enjoy nature or history. With flowers and fruit trees everywhere, we are home to many hummingbirds. A couple of blocks from the main square and 10 minutes from the train and ruins
Definitely the best place we stayed on our tour through the sacred valley.
  • This room was super private as it was in a separate building than the other rooms. It is above the kitchen so it was super handy to grab a cup of coffee in the morning. The view out the window was excellent. I also liked the exposed beams and wood flooring. The bed was comfortable and with the extra blanket that was provided I was able to keep warm as the nights here got very cold. The shower is pretty warm from the beginning, but if you want the HOT water you have to wait a bit (worth the wait after the MP hike). Breakfast was eggs and fresh bread with jam and butter. I cooked for myself the day I went to MP (5am), but the other two days I was able to request what time I could have it prepared for me (8am). But the absolutely best part of this place is the entrance to some great hiking/ruins is right around the corner literally and it's free. Do not pass up the Pinkuylluna ruins! You do have to cross the courtyard to use the bathrooms/showers. There was not a proper coffee maker that I saw, it was only instant coffee, but I honestly didn't look very hard because the instant was actually not that bad. I should mention that I only booked two nights and ended up requesting a third because I truly loved my little private cottage :)

Ressourcement garanti !!

  • This place is the perfect gem. Upon arrival Marta was waiting for us with a warm smile and walked us up to our room. Our room was very clean. She laid out our activities during our stay and did everything to make sure we were taken care of. She even cooked breakfast for us. This place has excellent location. Highly recommend staying here if you have plans on going to Machu Picchu. Bill and Nic were fantastic. We had lots of questions in hopes to make the most of our stay and they were always quick to respond (before and during our stay).

We were welcomed by Marta and she was fantastic, giving us really nice insights about Ollanta and the things we could do. We really appreciate that because it made our stay.

  • Loved Martha. Martha is a housekeeper in Ollantaytambo; she speaks good English (she taught herself) and she want let you be taken for a ride (for example, she told us the real price of taxi going to another city, which was 5 times less than other hosts have suggested we payed). Martha will tell you stories from her childhood growing up in the area and laugh with you at breakfast. The house is conveniently located near free ruins and has a big green area.

  • Out stay in the rustic garden was great! We loved marta the host who took great care of us and cooked us breakfast of organic eggs, peruvian bread and cherry jam. Nic and bill were very accomodating in helping us get transportation from the bus stop. We did share a bathroom 50 steps away from our room with the other guests but it was not a problem. This place is a little gem.

Location Information: Once considered an afternoon stop-over on the way to MachuPicchu, more and more visitors are deciding to make Ollantaytambo the primary destination from whence they can experience the Sacred Valley and all it has to offer. • Our 17 day trip to Peru took us to Casa De Wow for two nights and they turned out to be two of the most special of our trip, thanks in large part to Winn. She was an amazing host who put up with out many questions and she taught us more about the culture and people of the Sacred Valley than anyone else we encountered. It's rare to meet someone so willing to share themselves and really connect with you when they are busy running a business for people who will likely be gone in 48 hours, but Winn in one of those very special people who you easily connect with. We felt very at home at Casa de Wow - it's a very welcoming, comfortable place and I'd love to return. The rooms were beautiful with attention paid to everything and comfort level high. The breakfast was awesome - eggs cooked to order, which was rare everywhere else we statyed. Loved the TV room since we needed a break one afternoon - lots of DVDs to pick from. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Ollantaytambo and you'd be doing yourself a favor to cut out a few days of Cuzco in exchange for this amazing town and B&B. It was simply magical!!

  • Casa de Wow is an amazing place to stay in Ollantaytambo. First off, Winn couldn't be nicer. She was just over the top accommodating, friendly and just overall a good person. Although I didn't get to talk to Wow much, he speaks to you through his amazing art, clothing and furniture. It's everywhere! The casa? It's sooo nice and super cool. Wi Fi, hot showers, good breakfast, walking distance to the plaza, and nice hosts, i can't ask for much more. The bonus? Winn is from the same area that i currently live, so we had lots to talk about. If you find yourself in Ollantaytambo I highly recommend staying here.

  • Casa de Wow was the perfect home-base during our time in the Sacred Valley. Winn and Wow are warm and open people, totally helpful, friendly and accessible-- lovely all around. Winn was the best host you could ask for: She goes out of her way to make sure your stay is a great one (for example, packing breakfasts to-go for early-morning departures to Machu (Website hidden by Airbnb) like visiting a friend. Ollantaytambo is a super-charming town set in a breathtaking mountain valley. It's filled with beautiful Inca stonework and historic sites, amazing babbling canals running down almost every street, and wonderful hikes in the surrounding hills and mountains. Basic necessities can be found in the town, from ATM machines to a local market and grocery stores. There are plenty of restaurants, mostly aimed at tourists, offering good, serviceable food, though don't expect any groundbreaking meals (little surprise that in such a small town, most of the locals eat at home...I'm sure that's where the truly great food is). We highly recommend Casa de Wow!

  • I really liked Win and Wow;s place! the property is beautiful, our double decker bed was built by Wow (Website hidden by Airbnb) was very charming! Winn actually walked up the the main square to meet us there and take us to her home. She is very friendly and the locals love her. She gave us a the map of the area, her recommendation on places to eat and to shop. The locations is good, only about a 5 minute walk form the main square. The hot shower is fantastic and it is very peaceful place to rest..In fact , they urge guests to be quiet after a certain time at night to enable everyone to enjoy a good nights sleep. Loved it! Pity we could only stay the night, though..

  • The staff at Casa de Wow!! is wonderful. They are flexible and helpful. Winn has a wealth of knowledge about the people, culture, history and geography of Ollantaytambo. The facility is fun and funky and is full of handcrafted charm. It is in a perfect location for walking the village. We would definitely choose Casa de Wow!! again!!

  • STAY HERE! Stop your search, you want to stay at Casa de Wow!! We were only there one night, but it felt like home by the time we left. The beds are made out of eucalyptus TREES (not wood!) and the whole place had a very earthy, homey vibe. Hugo is arguably the nicest Air BnB host I have ever had, and even took my mom and to his favorite star gazing spot just outside of town when we ran in to him while we were aimlessly walking around (trying to adjust to the altitude!) His English is very good from spending 10 years in England, so if you don't have Spanish in your skillset, that's another added bonus. Plus, the wifi is strong and the breakfast is good. THANK YOU for making Ollanta our favorite part of the trip!

  • Florence and Graham are perfect hosts. The rooms are small but very homelike. There is hot water and the beds are really good. Graham is very proud of the fastest internet in town (somehow he managed that all signals are pointing to his house). The breakfast is delicious, they sometimes even made their own bread. They gave us excellent tips for restaurants and excursions. Unfortunatelly my girlfriend get sick while we where there. But Florence was so nice and made her tea with herbs from their garden and Graham decided to cook a fresh chicken soup for her and the other guests. We are so grateful for their help. We highly recommend this house.

  • Graham and Florence are the most gracious and welcoming hosts! Our stay at casa patacalle felt like a night spent with old friends. Florence's breakfast spread was by far the most delicious, fresh, and lovingly prepared meal of any bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Clean, comfortable, private accommodations (with beautiful views!) and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere are found at Casa Patacalle. Enough good comments cannot be made about our stay here. Thank you Graham and Florence for our best night in Peru!

  • In the days/weeks leading up to our stay, Graham was very responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions and all signs pointed to this being a stay just as great as the reviews said it would be. But in reality everything seemed different and I was very disappointed. The first night we arrived was the last time we saw anyone on the property for the three days we stayed. Jose (?) asked us what time we would leave the next day, but that was the last we saw him. In the morning, no one was there to provide the "delicious breakfast" we'd read so many great reviews about. No one present when we got home that night either, and no one around when we left the next day either. I would say overall the place feels a little unfinished and, consequentially, not clean-- but we did have a nice view of the ruins from our balcony. There were bugs in the room, and the first night we found a scorpion in our bed (which jose removed!). It's kind of an indoor/outdoor place so that's probably unavoidable but check before you get into bed! Graham mentioned that he was out of town on an emergency, so I'm not sure if all this is the norm or just an off few days for them. Looked like the potential for a great stay was there, we just didn't get one.

  • What an amazing place!! This has been our favorite place to stay thus far in our trip. The house is very authentic and the decor is magnificent. Victor was a wonderful host and breakfast was delicious. The garden is very peaceful and cared for very well. We can't speak more highly of this place. Thank you, Victor!

  • Our stay at Casa Patacalle was absolutely fantastic, by far our best hotel/AirBnB experience in Peru. Florence was perfect, she made us a packed breakfast for our long day at Machu Picchu that was great. The next morning when we ate breakfast at the house I think it was the best hotel breakfast I've had anywhere in Peru or otherwise. We were also given wonderful recommendations of some ruins off the beaten path to visit and how to get some amazing fresh juice for 3 soles at the market. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the water in the shower was quite hot after just a couple minutes. I somewhat regret writing this review as I don't want to share this wonderful place with the rest of the world.

  • Eddy’s place was perfect! We were there the night before we left for Machu Picchu and then stayed here again after returning from Aguas Calientes. Some prior guests said there was noise but we didn’t experience this at all. Breakfast was perfect too :). Highly recommend!

Full Moon Eco Lodge is the perfect place to experience the true Sacred Valley and the living Inca village of Ollantaytambo. We are located in the heart of Ollantaytambo, but have a peaceful and quiet setting with views of the Sacred Valley.
This room accomadates 1 individual with a large bed. Included in the price is breakfast and use of *NEW IMPROVED WI-FI* in common areas.

  • we stayed just 1 night so we didn't meet the big boss, though the place is very pleasant, clean and confortable, we had a good time with the volunteers helping there, they leaded us to Elder's bar, we enjoyed the athmosphere ( especially the pole that goes from the first floor to the ground) a fine place to stay

  • I really enjoyed staying at the Full Moon Lodge, and wish it could have been longer. It's in a very peaceful location and is a very comforting atmosphere. The room was very clean and read when I arrived, and it was very close to the main plaza. I would definitely try to book this location again.

  • Booked and paid for my room well over two months in advance. Arrive at the lodge after a long day of traveling and attempt to check in at reception, only to be told "That's weird, we are completely full tonight." Turns out a big group had come in and occupied all the rooms, and they had given my room away to this group. They did not attempt to contact me or compensate for this at all. I was then walked to a hostel a few blocks away and was told that's where I would be staying that night. They knew the owner of that hostel or something. I was really disappointed, I had very much been looking forward to my stay here. I guess it goes without saying that I would not recommend this place- spend your money somewhere else.

  • What a relaxing place! We were at the end if our 2 week holiday in Peru and had a wonderful time at full moon lodge. It is very close to main square 5 min walk. The people were very friendly. We relaxed in the hammocks and sat around the fire at night looking at the stars. Love the yard and the dogs. I would stay again when I return to Peru. Brigitte

A piece of history in time, this Inca store house is a place for artists, garden lovers and people of all types who enjoy nature or history. With flowers and fruit trees everywhere, we are home to hummingbirds and great views of the ruins. A couple of blocks from the main square and a 10 minutes walk from the train station and ruins.
Just read what the last three reviews for this house have said.... Definitely the best place we stayed on our tour through the sacred valley.
  • We had a good nights stay at bill and nic's. Martha, who hosted us was very kind, gave us good advice on what to do in ollantaytambo, and feed us a delicious breakfast. Room is pretty and clean. Bathroom is not part of the room but just across a small courtyard.

  • The place is very beautiful. Its an inkas architecture and its very tidy and flower y.I couldn't enjoy the lovely garden cause they were cleaning the grass.I met the blackcute (Website hidden by Airbnb) room disappointed me a bit.It had a small Window abd I think it was overated for the price I gave. The communication with the hosts was beyond excellent and immediate. The real gem in this place was mrs Martha! !! A wonder ful helpful friendly lady who tries the best to help you.I think its a nice place generally. I would recommend it to anyone needs tranquility through a beautiful house.

  • Bill & Nic's home in Olly is amazing. The setting is quiet and serene, clean, and well-located - just a few minutes to the main square and the base of the hill which leads up to the granary ruins. Martha is lovely and took care of us very well. Bill & Nic helped us coordinate a collective and a taxi, which was quite helpful. We had a wonderful stay and wish we could've stayed longer. Highly recommend!

  • Alexander is a caring host. The room is acceptable with hot water and reasonable pressure. Well located to the main square. Good towels and pillows, and good kitchen facilities upstairs. Ollantaytambo is a great place full of history, and a rewarding destination independent of MP

  • This is a great value for a place to rest your head after exploring Machu Picchu and the surrounding sites. Basic amenities - there were some issues with hot water on one night, but overall this is a great deal.

    Carla2018-09-01T00:00:00Z

Manuel was a wonderful host. The house is located close to everything, on the side of the hill overlooking Cusco with nice views. Manuel's dad Daniel is a tour guide - they both made our stay much easier by showing us all the sites of Cusco and organising our trips to Macchu Pichu and Lake Titicaca. We greatly benefited from the private tours organised by Manuel and Daniel - it allowed us to see so much more than if we booked ourselves with a larger tour group. We found the language barrier a problem at times as we don't speak Spanish but Manuel & Daniel both speak very good English and were able to translate for us during our stay which made our trip run much smoother. Whilst the accommodation is basic, I would have no hesitation in staying with Manuel again. We felt right at home with Manuel's family.

Clotilde, her husband Nino and their son Nils are probably best hosts I had for 3 yers using Airbnb. They met me at 5.40AM(!) on bus station, were extremely helpful all the time and went out their way to ensure I d have best experience in Cuzco. House is brand new, all apartments super clean, you have your own bathroom, there is always cold drinkable water. Super nice kitchen to use. House is conviniently situated with walking distance from Terminal Terrestre and airport. Centre is 10 mins on bus or 4 soles on taxi. You have acces to the balcony from your room, from where 7th floor) ks a beautiful view of Cezco. Super offer for this money in expensive Cuzco. I'd definetely come back in this house and to this lovely family.
