The cottage was perfect for our family get-together for a weekend in Mudgee. The cottage is clean and well equipped. The living area and the main bedroom have air conditioning and the other bedrooms very well working fans, which was important on a weekend with temperatures in the high thirties. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Our little one loved collecting eggs and wandering through the garden (and the sculpture garden too). It was close to town but still felt secluded. The studio is bigger than i expected, with a door separating bedroom and living room (so the baby could be in a different room which was amazing). The main house was just next door which would be a great opportunity for larger groups to join.

Great place for a peaceful getaway, has an off-grid feel while still providing the all the comforts we needed. Its just you, the vast countryside, with cows, roos and the occasional deer roaming about. There are hiking trails within the property with amazing views. The living area has AC, and we found that placing one of the fans in the hallway helped direct the cool air toward the bedroom.

The Studio at Peter Van Gent's winery is really only suited to guests who want an idyllic location with clean amenities and serious comort. The views are beautiful from every window and the close proximity to lots of wineries and restaurants mean that while you might want to soak up the privacy and romance of the accommodation, the region's best offerings beckon across vast hectares of verdantly-fruited paddocks. This place is something special!

From our initial online booking to check out, communication with Jill was outstanding! We holidayed with a group of families and absolutely everyone enjoyed their stay. The property was simply beautiful (especially in Autumn), the house was impeccably clean and the fire pit and pizza oven were a huge hit! Jill’s pizza dough was the best we’ve had, and the kids all enjoyed making their own pizzas! The children also enjoyed running around the property and collecting the chicken eggs every day. Was the perfect long weekend getaway, just 5 minutes drive from town and several wineries! The kids said “when are we going back to Mudgee?”

Our third stay at Whimbrel - we love it here! The house is well appointed and well kept, and Valentina is a brilliant, easily contactable, communicative host. As a guest you check yourself in and out, Whimbrel is the only residence on the property and you have it entirely to yourself - which we appreciate. If we are coming in and out late at night the only ones we are disturbing are the local wombats. A home away from home (with better views)! Has everything you could ask for - comfy beds, spacious lounge, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, a peaceful garden to relax and have a cup of tea in the mornings, and a cosy firepit outside or fireplace inside for the evenings. Quiet, but not isolated - we still have good phone/internet reception on our (Telstra) phones. Lots of solitude, very quiet, large property with neighbours a good distance away. Literally a few hundred metres down the road from the glorious Capertee National park! There are so many beautiful places to visit from here, Whimbrel is right in the middle of the Capertee birdwatching trail, if you are into that (we are). Capertee being so lush and green this year we saw an abundance of birdlife and wildlife during our 8 days. As for shops, it is a scenic drive 25mins up the road to Kandos IGA for all the groceries and essentials, and on to Rylestone for a Mexican dinner at Pepinos (highly recommend the chimichangas!). The only issue with this place is that you won't want to leave! Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us :)

After a hectic Christmas this was the perfect getaway location for our small family and exactly what we were looking for. Private, peaceful, and left to our own devices to explore the farm or jump into nearby Mudgee. Pick some eggs, say hello to the cows, or just blow bubbles in the wind - our 4 year old enjoyed it as much as we did. Hit the spot for what we needed and matched what we read on the description. Would recommend.

The property was lovely. Very secluded, cozy, and comfortable. Was nice to spend a weekend there.

The location, amenities, and hosts were absolutely fantastic. Hillside is set in a beautiful and tranquil spot — the perfect place to unwind. I’ve never stayed at an Airbnb where so much care and thought has gone into ensuring a completely stress-free stay… until now. From the freshly squeezed orange juice and bottle of milk in the fridge to the little chocolate bunnies at Easter, every detail was a thoughtful touch. It’s clear that Anna and Norbert have put a great deal of care into creating a space that truly caters to their guests — and they’ve absolutely nailed it in every aspect. Leo the dog was a hit with our kids — incredibly friendly and full of character! We’re already planning our next trip and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hillside to anyone looking for a peaceful escape, seamless comfort, and the warmest, kindest hosts you could hope to meet. Don't forget to try the wine, its very good!

What an amazing, beautiful place ! This your home away from home. Beautifully decorated, all essentials included, fire pit perfect as looking up all the multiple stars you don’t see in the city. Cows, horses, Chooks, kangaroos - such a very special, calming and perfect place to spend a few days. Our hosts, Nicole and Andrew, you made our stay extra special with your knowledge and suggestions about the area, the extra touches you provide and your warmth and friendliness !! We will be back !!

Great hideaway for a few days, has everything you need. Far enough to be peaceful, but close enough to Mudgee for local shops and of course the wineries. It was great to have the fire pit going of an evening whilst enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine

We stayed at Tamara’s property and had a wonderful time. Location is private and quiet but close enough to drive to town if need be. House was very clean and aesthetically beautiful, and all the amenities worked well. Absolutely would spend time there again!

Had the most amazing stay at Kathy and Saxons. Beautiful creek setting, outdoor seating, fire pit, welcome pack, exceptionally tastfully decorated rooms..just everything was lovely. Highly recommend and would go back again.

We had a fantastic stay at Odd Frog Airbnb! The views were stunning, and Fiona, the owner, was very responsive. The kids loved the big yard to play in and enjoyed seeing the chickens on the property. A peaceful and family-friendly getaway—highly recommend!

WOW! Highly recommend. My family of 4 stayed at Sally & Mark’s place for the Easter long weekend. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cottage was rustic and beautiful with comfortable beds and living areas with stunning sunrise views. Sally and family were absolutely amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming. My 10 year son loved the farm life and adventures with the cattle. The dogs were also very friendly and a big hit with the kids. Easy drive into Dubbo for the zoo and exploring, and also the local pub was a good feed. We definitely will be back to stay!

We stayed in The Cotrage, and we were two adults, two kids and a small dog. The place was just beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings, with beautiful fields and trees and flowers around. The short walk up the hill to the firepit was a wonderful way to start the day with our dog. We were fortunate enough to meet Melissa and she was super friendly. We also got to know her dogs who are all just lovely! The kids got to feed the two horses each morning with a carrot or two as well. Very near the lovely town centre of Mudgee (like a 5 min drive) with its great cafes and shops and all amenities. Great stay and would highly recommend!

The place is perfect for a quiet getaway away from the usual busy life. The address in the Google maps takes you about 4 mins away from the place, so ensure you are keeping an eye out for the detailed instructions provided by the host. There are alpacas, farm animals and starry sky for a peaceful night.

The cottage is located in a pretty valley and it has been beautifully restored. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We hope to be able to stay for longer next time.

Words can’t describe how incredible YEATES Estate is! We stayed in the loft & every detail was thought of, down to the luxurious bathroom amenities, comfortable lounge area & private veranda that overlooks the property. The YEATES family are extremely helpful & we were very lucky to be the only guests staying at the property this weekend, which is very unusual.! The weather was incredible & the complimentary wine tasting on arrival was welcome after our drive from Sydney. We will definitely be back.

We had half an idea about how beautiful Warramba was from photos we’d seen, but were unprepared for how enchanting it was in person. The sum of all the little details made for such a magical stay. Butterflies on the ariostimon, swallows and butcher birds nesting, a loveliness of lady birds resting in the lavender, blue banded bees floating through the garden and squeals of delight from the little people enjoying the pool on hot days, fun on the swing while mum and dad bbq’d, space to run and their first campfire marshmallows. We spent the evenings watching the moon rise from the top of the hill, while the cows munched happily around us, before soaking in bubbly baths and snuggling up in soft comfy bedding. Such a restorative and special place. Thank you so much for having us.

Our stay at Skimstone Winery was amazing. Rebecca and her husband were delightful hosts and the accommodation they have on the vineyard is just beautiful. We enjoyed a tasting at the winery itself (which was fabulous!), and also explored the beautiful vineyards and walked along beautiful river that runs along the rear of the property. The home itself was beautiful- highly recommend!
