We spent a really enjoyable time in this property! The space was not only comfortable and clean but turned out to be great for children as well. The kids enjoyed discovering the place and having fun with the amenities, and we enjoyed watching them having so much joy. I would definitely recommend this place to families who want to unwind and spend quality time!

Gostámos muito. A piscina privativa é um excelente ponto positivo. A Maria e o Nuno foram muito simpáticos e acolhedores. Foi uma experiência muito boa e esperamos voltar! :)

A Casa do Postigo supera todas as expectativas sobretudo ao vivo. Bem equipada, bem decorada e acolhedora. Só tivemos pena de termos reservado apenas uma noite.

This is our second stay at this property. It is situated in a lovely area below the hilltop medieval town of Castelo de Vide. The grounds are spectacular with trees, plants, rock work and charming details. There are several exterior spaces for quiet reflection as well as dining. There are views both large and small. A rooftop terrace is perfect for morning coffee accompanied by chirping birds, the tinkling of bells from the necks of sheep grazing near by, and the sound of the fountain feeding the pool. Or for cocktails at sunset. It is heaven! The house is quite large, with ample space for gathering both indoors and out. Suzanne, the hostess, is very responsive and helpful with suggestions about places to see, local restaurants and events. We will be back.

Foi como se de um retiro se tratasse! Era mesmo o que precisávamos: o descanso, a calmaria, a privacidade. Deu para colocarmos o bronze e a leitura em dia. Tomar o pequeno-almoço ao ar livre é uma coisa tão simples, mas na correria da vida não é tão fácil e na casa da Ana era obrigatório! Adoramos todos os pôr-de-sol que assistimos e esperamos voltar. Marvão é, sem dúvida, maravilhoso. Recomendamos o atelier do Paulo Gouveia onde compramos uma linda pintura onde a cortiça é a personagem principal. Terá especial lugar na nossa sala onde nos recordaremos para sempre destas férias repletas de paz e harmonia. Desejamos à Ana e ao seu espaço o maior sucesso e agradecemos todas as dicas e a garrafa de vinho saborosa que nos deixou!

The place was beautiful with amazing amenities. It was very relaxing and in a good location, not far from the main town. I would stay again.

Danielle and I really enjoyed our stay in Carlos and Isabel guesthouse. A few things immediately come to mind when reviewing their guesthouse, like the cleanliness of the house and the beautiful decor. Clearly all of the amenities have been well thought out to make you feel at home and comfortable. Unfortunately, it was too cold to use their swimming pool. One minor suggestion would be to add a streaming service with the TV. We found Carlos to be friendly and very attentive to our needs during our stay. The location is rural, but only a short 5 minute drive to the city of Évora. There are a couple of small villages within a few minutes drive. In fact Danielle and I enjoyed one of our favourite Portuguese meals in the village of Valverde.

Numa região ainda com muito por descobrir, o Monte Poejo apresenta-se como um retiro protegido e agradável. Um espaço amplo, adequado a brincadeiras de crianças e receptivo a cães.

I like to stay in unusual places, and this one did not disappoint. Located in the historic district but modern inside, within walking distance from the attractions and some restaurants to grab dinner, but also quiet and private. We loved feeling like the locals, and the atmosphere of the house.

We had a wonderful stay at Daniel’s place and we can highly recommend it. The house was perfect for our stay, and the pool and outside area were stunning! Daniel was extremely helpful and responsive, from the moment we booked. The house is the perfect location for privacy, but also in terms of distance from Evora and surrounding towns. Das kleine Steinhaus war uns eine sehr wertvolle Rückzugsstätte, um in das neue Jahr zu starten. Die Ruhe der Umgebung, die herrliche Natur im portugiesischen Winter waren wunderschön. Die Gastgeber waren zu jeder Zeit so überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und herzlich. Das hat uns beeindruckt. Im Häuschen selber findet man alles, was man für ein paar ruhige Tage auf dem Land benötigt. Vielen Dank.

Passámos uma semana maravilhosa nesta casa encantadora! A vista é absolutamente incrível — perfeita para relaxar e apreciar a tranquilidade da região. A decoração da casa está lindíssima, com cada detalhe pensado ao pormenor, o que tornou a estadia ainda mais especial. O senhor Kiko foi sempre muito simpático e prestável, fazendo-nos sentir verdadeiramente em casa. Sem dúvida, recomendo esta experiência a qualquer pessoa. Adorámos e esperamos voltar!

Adoramos tudo. A Maria Francisca e o marido são pessoas extremamente educadas, prestativas, simpáticas e sempre à disposição. O espaço deles é exatamente como nas fotos. Uma casa não tão moderna, mas com todas as comodidades e conforto. O ar condicionado também é excelente. Recomendo muito e assim que possível, voltaremos.

Escolhi o local para passar o meu aniversário em Évora com mais 3 pessoas e só tenho coisas positivas a apontar! A localização da casa é incrível, ficando dentro das Muralhas, o que permite a facilidade de acesso a pé aos locais de maior destaque da cidade. O ambiente é super acolhedor e familiar e a casa está preparada para garantir uma excelente estadia. A Maria é uma anfitriã super prestavel, preocupada e de fácil comunicação, e ainda me conseguiu surpreender ao deixar um pequeno bolo para festejar o meu aniversário! Não podia ter tido melhor experiência, recomendo muito 😊

A nossa estadia correu bem, a casa era muito acolhedora e era tal e qual as fotos. Fomos recebidos com pão, uma garrafa de vinho e azeitonas que eram muitos bons. Zona calma ideal para descansar, com um excelente pátio para fazer refeições ao ar livre e não esquecendo do jacuzzi. A dona Maria foi muito amável, fomos muito bem recebidos. Muito obrigado por esta agradável estadia.

Spent three weeks in this charming house. Absolutely unique place. Situated in a hidden valley with beautiful surroundings. Lovely walks directly from the house, nothing other than natural sounds make relaxing in the garden a real pleasure and the lack of light pollution makes for stunning star gazing. Daniel is an excellent host for whom nothing is too much trouble. We loved staying here and would recommend it unreservedly.

No words can describe how nice Carla is and how friendly and inviting she is along with her daughter. We felt right at home and her place was very comfortable, clean and the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. I recommend her place to anyone who wants a country side retreat with the most amazing views and not too far from the town centre. We will definitely be returning again and this time for a longer stay. Well done Carla 😍
