Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. The accommodation was really lovely, warm and comfortable with amazing views. We enjoyed the walks from the door and Melrose was wonderful. The lemon drizzle cake, wine, flowers and milk were very kind.

This property is fantastic, home from home, everything you need and more. Lovely kitchen dining area, and a great outside space with a large hot tub! Hayley’s instructions were very clear with regards to check in and she is very responsive! Great host! Would definitely book again ☺️

We loved our week at Ivy Cottage. Our boys loved the football nets and we all loved the hot tub! The house had everything we needed and we really appreciated the little added extras that made it feel very homely. Great location too. We’ll be back!

I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Thanks Ben, we had a great weekend at Stanley Cottage. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches, dog treats, human treats, phone chargers, hair straighteners, bathroom products!! The cottage was very comfortable and the hot tub a welcome pause, thank you.

We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

We went as a family for a 60th birthday. Anna was such a good host, very informative and very helpful. The house was so well laid out for such an occasion, the kitchen was a hub of activity making family meals . It was so nice to feel right at home from the start. All the facilities have been carefully thought out. The hot tub was a very welcome addition. The house is in an ideal spot for days out in beautiful Northumberland. we had a really relaxing 3 days in a beautiful home and will definitely return.

Great stay in Philippa’s place, very cosy and set out in the countryside. Would definitely come back for some quiet time.

Lovely decorated cottage. Close to shops, beach and harbour, always space to park. The cottage was clean and fully equiped. Penny was always in contact and helpful and one little problem she took care of super fast. We enjoyed our stay and would definitly come again.

Outstanding cottage, would love to come back soon! The photos don’t do it justice! It’s even better when you’re there. Spotlessly clean, beautiful kitchen/dining room and comfortable bed. The views from the back garden were fab! I can’t recommend this enough, would have happily stayed there longer and will definitely return. It was a lovely gesture that Kate even baked for us!! We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was clean & tidy, loved the wood burner, the bedrooms were lovely especially the master bedroom…very comfy bed. Loved the garden with lots of different seating areas, beautiful view & very peaceful. A 2 minute walk up to the town for shops, restaurants & bars & a 5 minute walk down to the dairy milk bar for fabulous ice creams & milkshakes. Lots of gorgeous near by walks too. A lovely stay & would definitely book again. Thank you Pam.

Beautiful cottage 5 mins from beach. Very clean and tidy, milk in fridge on arrival for a much needed cuppa. Good communication from Nick. Would stay again.

Lovely and peaceful place in the countryside, what a place to unwind and relax. Great enclosed back garden big enough to play with our lab Wilf. Beautiful front garden, and adjacent walled garden belonging to the main house. it all gives Secret Garden vibes. The cottage itself is very well equipped, comfy bed and furniture. If we return to the area I'd stay here again in a flash.

Lovely cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, Diane has thought of everything and the little extras like the dog blankets/bowls were very much appreciated. The wood burner made us extra cosy when we had a rainy evening. Great to have parking and somewhere near to exercise our dog. An ideal location , we had days out to Kielder Forest & Seahouses as well as exploring the Roman fort sites. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will be back. Thank you.

What a lovely cottage! Julie and Nigel's cottage is a real home from home, and it matches the photographs perfectly. Thoughtfully decorated, and made to feel homely with blankets, pictures, books etc. Homemade bread and delicious muffins, plus milk and tea and good coffee were most welcome. I appreciated the use of Eco friendly cleaning products and shampoos etc. Comfortable bed with cotton duvet cover and comfy pillows. Big, fluffy towels were great. There are maps and suggestions of places to visit and eat. Julie sent me some recommendations too which were helpful. Friendly neighbours who are keen to share information too. It is perfect for two people - and our dog was made ever so welcome too. Julie and Nigel were responsive to messages right from booking to the end of our stay. Thank you Julie and Nigel for letting us stay in your lovely home.

This was the perfect accommodation for us for our first holiday with a toddler. The house is immaculate and spacious with everything you could possibly need. The location is also ideal for being a stones throw away from so many things to do. Newbiggin beach is literally less than 2 minutes walk from the house, and is very pretty. Although for a toddler I would recommend one of the beaches slightly further up the coast for softer sand. Peter was a great host, clear instructions and quick responses to any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

Highly enjoyable stay - very easy checkin, great location, very nice cottage. Really easy to get around (with car), Bostock bakery just 5 mins down the road Highly recommended for a nice trip away - Edinburgh was a 40min drive too

Just wow! We’ve just got back from a simply amazing stay at Pam & Richard’s beautiful cottage. Some highlights for us were: 1) the little touches from treats for the dog to home baking, we felt so well looked after 2) the beautiful surroundings, it was so peaceful, no photos can really do it justice 3) the cottage itself, the beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless and it had everything you need. Pam and Richard were just lovely, and whilst they’re just next door, they didn’t impose at all, we had some brilliant recommendations for walks and food. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you both! x

For our first family holiday to Northumberland we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay. Candi’s cottage is in an ideal location for Bamburgh, Seahouses and Holy Island, to name but a few. In fact, before arriving, Candi messaged me with some recommendations, which went down a treat with the family! As for the accommodation itself? Immaculate! The kitchen and main bedroom are much bigger than they look on the photos. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated (recently?) and look lovely. The kitchen has all the utensils you’ll need- even some Tupperware which we used for our picnics! Although we weren’t in the house for long each day, having the Smart TV was a nice touch to wind down after our excursions. All four of us (2 adults, 2 children) slept well and really enjoyed our time in Candi’s cottage. The girls especially appreciated the sheep themed cookies that were left for them. They also loved cartwheeling up and down the garden. A great stay- thanks Candi!

We had a great family gathering to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary with our eldest son and his family next door in #12 and our youngest and wife with us. I am partially disabled due to a fall after our initial booking and expressed my concern about the showering facilities before arriving. Michael responded to this by adding grab rails, shower stool and mat before our arrival. Full marks for that. I had also been concerned by the prospect of climbing stairs, but managed them well enough. The cottage was light, bright and very clean . It is 5 minutes to Cullercoats Bay beach, albeit down a steep hill. There is Co-Op store 5 minutes walk in the other direction. Didn't try the Queen's Head but did go to the free jazz lunchtime session in the Cullercoats Crescent Club and was made most welcome. We would use this cottage again if the occasion shoud arise.

We booked as a last minute bank holiday get away, the cottages was cosy and homely and had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Andrew was a great host and the cottage guide was very informative. The location was ideal for exploring Northumberland.
