This place is beyond words! Spent 4 days...booked 7 for next year. What a gem! Beachcombing, on your own private cove, the setting, the view... saw habour porpoise, seal, eagles and of course lots of deer. An incredible getaway to disconnect. Only wanted to stay longer! The place is simply perfect! Even the fog is fascinating and atmospheric. Never slept better! Thanks Ashley! Much appreciated...see you next year Deer Island and Chocolate Cove! "The Healing Shack" worked out really well for me and for my dog. Quiet location and very private. We started each morning by taking a walk on a road that had beautiful views of the bay but with little traffic. The cabin itself was a bit quirky, but for me that was part of the charm. I texted Melissa twice with questions about the cabin and each time she replied within minutes. Although the cabin had a sleeping loft, I opted to sleep on the couch so that I could be on the dog's level and it was actually very comfortable.

We were blown away by this location. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Loved the hot tub and the deck with a view! The house was clean and well organized. It was also stocked up on just about everything we could need. Joel was a great host and very responsive and clear with instructions. The area is beautiful and we saw deer multiple times. Jasper beach was so close to where we were staying and was a great place to visit. We really appreciate everything and look forward to coming back!

I wish I could give this place and host more than 5 stars! Deirdre was incredibly sweet and extremely fast to respond to any questions we had. The cabin was cozy, clean, and just what we were looking for! Our trip revolved around hiking Acadia NP, and while this Airbnb was about an hour drive to the main part of the park, it was WELL worth it. It was away from the busyness and very quiet peaceful and private. Plus it’s only about 15 mins to the Schoodic peninsula! There’s a small path to some rocks you can sit on and relax by the ocean, which after a long day of hiking was perfect! Bonus- We were able to see the northern lights from there!! All in all this place was 10/10 and I highly recommend. If I ever get the chance to return to Maine, I would absolutely love to stay here again!!

What an absolutely gorgeous cabin and place to stay. Everything you could possibly want out of a cabin stay. Was only here for a few days for work but I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Hope to be back sometime. 5 stars!

Host was very nice and responsive, the cabin was in excellent shape, quiet and peaceful . Did not expect the owners of the property to also own a restaurant down the road, which completely blew us away with the food, atmosphere and service. I would definitely recommend someone to come check this place out!

This was such a beautiful place! I wish we could have stayed longer! If I ever get back up here from North Carolina, I will definitely stay here again.

The cabin was perfect, so clean and brand new. The location was amazing, private but still felt safe and secure. We enjoyed going for walks and looking for shells, it was all so peaceful. The house came with lots of toys and books for our 1 year old and also some items for our dog. Ashley was a great host, provided us with wonderful recommendations that were both baby and dog friendly which made the trip even better. Already miss the place and would love to go back!

This was the exact place we were looking for. Peaceful, rustic but with all the modern amenities, and a fire place that tops it off. Definitely recommend staying here if you are looking to leave the world behind a few days.

We had a wonderful time at the Spruce Lodge! Plenty of grass to play out front and a lovely little beach for the kiddos to swim safely and comfortably. The water was warm, the lodge was quaint and perfect for a "camp" style getaway. The two men in our group are both around 6'6 and could barely fit in the bathroom, so fair warning if you are (very) tall - you will have to crouch while using the shower! This was certainly no strike against the camp, though! The location is great if you are looking for something that feels isolated while still having people nearby. We had folks walking around and talking to us but we never felt like anyone was encroaching on our space. Please note if you have a dog - there will be other dogs running around on the property without a leash. Andy was attentive when we asked for him to limit the interactions that his dogs have with our kids. He was extremely considerate, supplied firewood and even started our fire for us! FANTASTIC Stay - 20/10!

Of course it is a little hard to navigate the backroads leading to the cabin (Apple Maps did a good job for me but several others were led astray) and of course there are many neighborhood critters living in and around the cabin, but that's what we expected going in! What we did not expect was for Lori and Rob to be SO kind and communicative throughout, and so accommodating of our many strange demands! 🙂 Our team of four scientists stayed here for two months over the summer (we performed lots of biodiversity surveys on the trails around the property and conducted a large-scale field experiment right outside the cabin). It was a lot of people for one small cabin, but everything went incredibly smoothly -- the abundant and beautiful nature helped keep us all in a good mood. ☺️ Next time we need dark skies and fireflies, we'll be back!

We loved our stay in Lily's Gypsy Wagon. The wagon was comfy and cozy. The location was breathtaking and we enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature all around us. The campsite had everything we needed including plenty of seating, a wood deck, a firepit and a grill tucked into the trees but overlooking the water. The beach provides an amazing view of the Islands of Acadia national park, and was in a constant state of transformation as the tide came in and out. Our stay was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Thanks Lily!

Kathy’s place was ideal for our trip to the area. Our third trip to the residence should be enough said.

Our stay at Patty’s place was great. The cabin is very cozy and extremely comfortable. The place has a great hot water heater which allowed our group to shower after visiting the park while others made dinner. It’s definitely a bit of a drive from Acadia, but Patty definitely makes this clear in the description. Overall, a fantastic stay. Could not recommend this place enough.

We loved every minute of our stay. The combination of rustic pragmatism and whimsey made this vacation spot idyllic. The outdoor lving spaces- deck with comfy furniture, grill, sink, jetboil, shower and bath were my favorite part. The design of the mini-house is spectacular. You'll find everything you need in the thoughtful layout of the cottage. Huge thanks to Terri for her excellent hosting. She was on top of sending us weather updates, local events/activities, etc. Cannot recommend this place strongly enough.

The boys and I had a great time four wheeling from camp. He did more than 200 miles in a weekend. Everything was described perfect and easy to get to.

Very peaceful, beautiful location. Quiet and restful. Good fishing in the lake. Nice hikes & walks nearby. Easiest check-in ever. Everything worked perfectly. Wish we had booked two weeks instead of one. Hope to return. One recommendation, bring enough food for a day or two on arrival. It's a looong way to a typical grocery store. The Dunbar Store on Rt 1 has a little bit of everything, friendly staff, and is fairly close.

The cabin is rustic, but it has everything you need for a pleasant and easy stay. The cabin was clean, the bed was very comfortable and warm, the bathroom has plenty of warm water. The heater was enough to keep the cabin warm. We travelled with our pet and she was very comfortable throughout the entire stay. The location is excellent! The farm is beautiful and has several trails to hike and enjoy the scenery. The area is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of fresh air. The cabin is about 10 minutes away from town, where there are plenty of good restaurants and friendly locals. It is also very close to the Roque Bluffs State Park. We had a very pleasant stay and Lisa was wonderful!
