Lovely spacious and comfortable cottage. We found it an ideal place as a base for further exploration of Central Otago. Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed just one night at Sarah’s place and honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer, it’s such a beautiful and peaceful spot. The space has everything you need, and the spa pool under the stars was absolutely magical. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was Sarah herself. We were dealing with a very stressful situation, my partner had an important online exam and our laptops failed us at the worst possible time. Not knowing anyone in NZ and with only hours to spare, we were in panic mode. Sarah went above and beyond to help us. She kindly lent us her personal laptop and even offered a room in her own home with the best internet connection so the test could be completed smoothly. We’re incredibly grateful for her kindness and support. Sarah is a wonderful host and person, and we can’t recommend her highly enough.

Lovely cosy house with plenty of space for a family of 4. Very clean & kitchen well equipped. Lounge & bedrooms very comfortable. Easy to find & convenient 4 square down the road.

Worked perfectly for our stay. Really appreciated the Jack & Jill bathroom. Host was wonderful with lots of local recommendations and very responsive. Thanks for the continental breakfast, it came in handy in the morning.

We loved staying there, great for kids with sporting equipment and big backyard with soccer goals. Highly recommend.

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

The cottage is part of a working vineyard, and one finds serenity and feels restful. It is exactly as described. Jen was a wonderful and thoughtful host -- she was responsive, esp. when we brought to her attention small glitches that are bound to happen despite the best of intentions, and she promptly help us to take care of the small glitches and even added a surprising personal touch to make our stay that much more enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay; we got to explore the Central Otago wineries, and got to enjoy the sunset at the cottage sitting on the porch in the back. Jen's cottage is between Alexandra and Clyde, and within short driving distance to some great wineries and to other parts of Central Otago. I find Alexandra an easy and pleasant city to shop for produce if needed. I look forward to staying with Jen again if I visit Central Otago in the future.

This place is the “Four Seasons” of rural NZ. Located in a vineyard and a short walk to Lake Dunstan, this cute little cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts have thoughtfully designed the space and furnished it with all mod cons to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. The stand out feature is of course the outdoor hot tub which we got to experience on a chilly autumn night after a long day of travel. Just ensure you let the hosts know so they can fire it up and have it ready for you to jump in. Can’t wait to tell family and friends all about this place so they can also experience this little slice of paradise.

Thank you so much Cathy - your place is absolutely gorgeous and you’ve been incredibly hospitable. The apartment is well-equipped and so tastefully designed, as is the terrace and garden. The ambience of the place has made my stay so relaxing. I’d have loved to stay longer! It’s also situated in a very peaceful area, right by Lake Dunstan with a walking path, and minutes drive to Cromwell/vineyards.
