A great place to get away from the city noise. It’s a very peaceful location, hearing a car go by is few and far between.

The Saunna works well. If you have a pet with you the small fenced yard is great. But if you pet is small, beware of gaps at the gate and by house. Escape artist dogs should stay on a leash. The enclosed porch is very cosy. Over all a very nice space.

Great location to see the area attractions. Beautiful spot on the beach. The house was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone interested in visiting the area.

I have stayed here many times this past year and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. The house is homey and relaxing to stay in. The neighborhood around is great for walking, with a free winter trail on the golf course just steps away. I highly recommend this home!

My kids and I felt right at home at this location. It was clean and comfy with everything needed. The washer and dryer was a huge plus!!!

We selected this home to reunite our adult children and revisit waterways. It exceeded our expectations. Open floor plan made it so nice for meal prep, card games and lazy mornings. Each bedroom had fans and t.v.s. master has it's own bath. patio outside of sliders with table made outside meals nice. Everything you could possibly need from kitchen supplies to beach stuff provided. plenty of parking, enough room for pontoon. Large backyard. Firepit was very private, surrounded by woods. No nearby neighbors, but felt very safe. Boy scout park and short dirt roads short walk in either direction bring you to see beautiful sunsets. Had the power go out from fallen tree and Kayla responded immediately with updates. We would recommend this place for anyone looking to kick back with the family with all the room and privacy we needed to spend time with family.

The cabin is in a beautiful setting on the river . Eagles flew by every day . Very peaceful.

We stayed at Pond #8 which was a short drive from the main resort. We didn’t use any of the resort amenities because we enjoyed our cabin so much! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s the perfect wilderness getaway. The staff at check in/out were very friendly. We will definitely be coming back and staying longer.

Breathtaking views for a lovely winter getaway! Plentiful surroundings for snowshoeing along the lake, through the wooded yard and enjoying deer sightings. Hugh was always responsive and friendly.

We had an incredible stay at Rusting Maples! We stayed for 3 months while building our home. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to be! Very cozy and relaxing, we had everything we ever needed and more! I can’t say enough about it!!! We loved it!

The house was clean, comfortable and had character. We loved the location. It was close to town and other must see areas in Michigan. Being within walking distance of places to explore in Cheboygan was a big plus too. The yard was large and felt private in a quiet neighborhood. We were happy with our stay and would definitely stay again if the we get a chance in the future.

Charming and Cozy in an amazing location! I plan to return in the summer and enjoy the beach, fire pit, rockhounding, watching the freighters and exploring. The location is a great launching point for many day trips within an hour or two of the cabin. And the beach access really is steps away from the door! We played outside all day and then played Catan and Uno at night. The kitchenette had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is an entertainment center set up with Roku and a dvd player with movies and some games. The beds were both very comfortable with quality linens and blankets and great pillows. The porch is darling, birdfeeders all around and lanterns and lights for night. Kelly was the perfect host, very quick to respond, knowledgeable of the area, and a pleasure to communicate with! I highly recommend this cabin for one or two people. Perfect for a cozy getaway, beach fun and day trips. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Between the cabin that i had, and the northern landscape around the surrounding Thessalon area its probable one of the nicest places ive stayed. The lake is warm and crystal clear. Robin and her staff were the perfect hosts. If you stay at Northern Skies, i would also suggest you take the drive along 129 to Champleau. You will not want to miss that. Eric's place is exactly what an "up north" cottage should be. Cozy, rustic, comfortable, and in the middle of beautiful surroundings. We loved it! It was exactly as described and provided everything we needed. Eric was a great host, too. I mentioned that my husband and I were taking a weekend up north as a way to celebrate my birthday, and he ACTUALLY REMEMBERED! I walked in to find a birthday card and a token gift on the table. He also gave great instructions and local info, and stayed dialed in the entire weekend. As for the area, we drove to Harbor Springs and explored the Tunnel of Trees. We also biked the Little Traverse Wheelway from Harbor Springs to Petosky. And we checked out the fantastic bike trail right near Eric's place, which takes you to Aloha State Park. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

It was our second time here and it was just as nice as the first time. we had a wonderful long weekend on the water and relaxing by the fire!
