My family and I were blessed to find this place! It felt like home away from home, was so cozy, and the surroundings are beautiful even with it being so cold and nothing in bloom yet. The fire pit was the perfect size and awesome to enjoy with Michigan doing what it does best. It was the perfect place to have a quick and much needed get away.

This was our second stay here for a family get-together. It is comfortable and liveable, great service from the hosts.

Our stay at Jason’s cabin was a 4/5 experience. While the cabin had potential, several issues impacted our visit. The biggest problem was the misleading description: we assumed each cabin was private based on the photos, but the fine print revealed it’s actually a shared community space. We spoke with other guests, and they had the same confusion. One cabin was told the sauna was private, while others were given shared-use instructions, which felt inconsistent. The hot tub area had a red ant infestation, and I ended up with several bites. Additionally, the property has multiple hosts, leading to unclear communication. One of the other occupants even shared pictures showing how unclean their cabin was, which raised concerns about cleanliness across the property. In our cabin, the floor was coming apart, which was disappointing. Knowing all this now, I’d consider staying again if I were more inclined to being social and sharing space with others. However it wasn’t quite what I expected

This log cabin was perfect for our group of 12, offering ample space both indoors and out. The basement was a fantastic hangout spot, and the expansive backyard provided plenty of room for activities. Being right on the golf course was a definite plus, and the indoor hot tub just off the back porch was a relaxing treat. We especially appreciated the multiple outdoor seating areas and the convenience of the large driveway and welcoming front porch.

The place itself was nice and updated providing us with everything we needed. We loved that it was so close to everything. And it was a bonus to have the pickleball court, firepit, and hot tub.

Really wonderful stay! Beautiful property, house, and amenities. The house was very clean and there was tons of space! It was a great treat to have loads of games, ping pong, and other accessories in the garage- great space. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with dishes and utensils which was very handy. The pond view, trails, and yard space was truly wonderful! Fantastic stay :)

This place completely exceeded our expectations!! So many thoughtful details and just an overall beautiful place to stay. Perfect spot to get away to and be able to relax the whole time. Will for sure be returning next year for another stay!

Cute log cabin, a bit rustic, but it added to the charm. Portia was very responsive to questions & helpful.

This property is beautiful and quite. It's a great place to get away from the hustle back home and disconnect from all the technology (although there are TVs in two of the bedrooms and good wifi if you need it). And the resturant recommendation that was about 10 minutes away was great food! I'd definitely recommend this if you need some time to just be with friends/family, play games, enjoy the lake and nature!

The cabin is nestled on a little slice of heaven in a private, forest setting. A ‘deer-family’ visited us frequently. Ample amenities. We didn’t realize that the ‘unattached-second bedroom/sitting room’ was ours to use until later in the trip because we didn’t realize what the unmarked ‘extra key’ opened. The cabin is small, but for two adults and a dog, it was quaint, cozy, clean, and adequate. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinners everyday. The dog and the evening storms kept us in at night. The roads were easy to navigate and we spent a lot of time playing in South Haven, Saugatuck, and Fennville. The lakeshore overlook was a bit scary with a dramatic and steep drop-off so if you had young children or a rambunctious dog (oh wait?! That was ME!), be forewarned. Otherwise, the view was outstanding. We really enjoyed our time and hopefully someday our paths will cross again.

We loved this cabin! Very quiet & peaceful. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but we were still close to several cute towns. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We would absolutely stay here again!

Staying at the kal-haven outpost cabins was everything I hoped it would be! We came up for my birthday weekend and it was wonderful; everything from the peacefulness of the campsite, to the delicious, free coffee and chats in the morning, to the bikeable trail right next to the campsite into town (we rented bikes from the outpost), dog friendly-cabins/campsite, to helpful staff (thanks Heather and Robert!), clean communal bathrooms and showers, and flexibility with check-in and check-out, I couldn't have asked for a better long weekend. Thanks so much; we'll be back!

We stayed for a long weekend, the cabin was super cute and had everything we needed and more! We spent a good deal of time playing the many games there, especially the street fighter game! We also used the bikes provided and loved exploring the nearby trails. We will plan on coming back when it's a little warmer so we can take advantage of the lake!

Liz was an absolute wonderful host! We booked this Airbnb to celebrate our mom’s birthday and mine and my husband’s anniversary and it was PERFECT! We had access to plenty of water toys and kayaks! Every night we sat in the enclosed patio and enjoyed the views. Liz even left us fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers that we used to make a beautiful garden salad! We are vegetarians so it was truly a treat! We would definitely recommend this home to any family and we look forward to renting here again!

We really enjoyed our visit - it was so lovely to have a view of the pond, enjoy the firepit, walk through the woods, and of course check in on the chickens, goats, and llama that we could also see through our windows! It was very quiet and Bill was very helpful in answering our questions. We soaked in the jacuzzi while it snowed and rained outside and found the kitchen to have all the cookware and utensils we needed (we brought our own salt, pepper, oil, etc.) Thank you!

We had a nice time relaxing by the lake would definitely stay here again. Very convenient walking outside and lake is right outside the door our family and little baby enjoyed it up here

Great spot, close enough to more touristy areas for activities, public beaches and restaurants, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Our family of four had more than enough space and we really enjoyed the place. The property’s pool was great, and the private beach was really nice as well. Dena was always responsive whenever we had questions. Thanks for sharing your space with us!

Dana's home was very much what I expected and what I hoped for—the lake is beautiful, the cabin simple but charming and comfortable, and very central to fennville, close to saugatuck downtown. Dana was also very responsive to messages. I love this area and this was a nice place to stay for the kind of calm trip I wanted. My only complaints are minor. There were some wasps coming in/out of the cabin. Some signs in the grass about pesticides made me think this was a known issue the hosts are trying to deal with. The wasps weren't much of a bother, but I think a little heads up or some Raid in the cabin would have been good (Dana offered to have some sent over, but our stay was very brief). The bedroom is also a little tight, but comfortable enough for a short stay. Overall, I was very happy with the stay.

Great host and a great location for any occasion

very responsive host, place was super cozy and clean. everything was the way as listed and worked. it's a bit secluded but you're only 10-15 minutes from places to eat or the market.

Dennis was very communicative and kept in touch throughout my stay. I even had a tornado warning one day and Dennis messaged me within minutes of me receiving the notification to make sure everything was still good. Could not have asked for a better place. It was super close to my aunt and uncle so it was very convenient but for most people they will love how secluded and peaceful it is.
