We loved our stay on this houseboat. Plenty of room to spread out and we really enjoy having outdoor seating space on the canal. The neighborhood was safe and walkable with a 10 minute bus ride to Centraal Station. Ruud was a responsive and flexible host who made us feel welcomed in his home.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in Amsterdam. Das Hausboot hat eine super Lage und Ausstattung. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis hat gestimmt. Wir empfehlen auf jeden Fall diese Unterkunft!

I am thankful for Eric’s trust and hospitality, his place felt like home to us and was close to everything we needed (beautiful park, supermarkets, restaurants). Eric was a very thoughtful host and I really hope to be back:) really beautiful and joyful home, thank you Eric & family.

This houseboat is wonderful and the perfect chilled get away just outside the city centre. Hosts were great with communication and the houseboat was better than we could’ve imagined. Great location with every type of public transport right on your doorstep or if the weather permits a nice walk back into town. 100% would recommend!

The accommodation lived up to its promises. The location was beautiful, situated right by the canal. While it’s slightly outside the center of Amsterdam, it remains easily accessible. Karina was a perfect host—always responsive and helpful, providing great recommendations and a booklet with clear instructions. She even allowed us to leave our luggage there before check-in. We would definitely book again.

We loved our stay at Mares’ houseboat - it was perfect for me, my husband, and our teenage daughter. It was nice to stay in an area that was removed from, but easy to get to, the action of the city. We really enjoyed starting and ending our days with the quick and free ferry ride. Mares was very accommodating - she let us check in early and check out late, and she bought us a few groceries to get us started - she met us when we checked in to show us around. The whole stay was wonderful and I highly recommend it for anyone coming to visit Amsterdam!

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

Es war ein wirklich schöner Aufenthalt. Die Kinder waren von der Überraschung begeistert, dass wir als Unterkunft ein Hausboot haben. Dieses war ruhig gelegen, die Einrichtung liebevoll gestaltet. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und hatten viel Freude beim beobachten der Enten, Reiher und Schwäne direkt vom Frühstückstisch

Logement très paisible, les seuls bruits que vous entendrez seront ceux des canards et des oies. Le logement est fidèle à la description. Tout le nécessaire est présent pour passer un agréable séjour. Carla est très réactive. Elle nous a accueilli à notre arrivée et nous avait prévu des petites douceurs, ce que nous avons trouvé très sympathique. Nous recommandons fortement et referont certainement un nouvel escale lorsque nous reviendrons dans le pays!

We really enjoyed the opportunity to stay on a houseboat while in Amsterdam and Fern's home was comfortable and relaxing. It was also nice to see a less touristy side of the city - it's an easy tram ride from the city center. Pepper was quite charming and we were delighted with her presence and the patio was a little oasis. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a more authentic stay.

If you are looking to stay on the river in a quiet neighbourhood - on a house boat - it doesn't get better than this. I loved waking up, peering out onto the water. Each morning the rowers are out, people running along the riverbank - it's incredibly peaceful yet full of life. This is a real boat, not a floating house so you have to navigate different levels inside, getting on and off the boat etc. All part of the charm. Martin is a fabulous host. Note: this is the old school airbnb of old - its Martin's home, beautifully appointed, spacious and generously kitted out - with the comfort of a 'lived in' feel. The upper deck is just delightful, full of light and windows and you can sit with your coffee and watch the river-world go by. The area is surrounded by park, but just nearby is a lovely high-street with shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and deli's. Trams will take directly into the centre of Amsterdam - everything you need - highly recommended!

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

We had a wonderful stay! It was lovely to be on the water, interact with the wildlife, kayak, and sauna. We felt at home, which made it easy to settle in and relax. Thank you Mandy for your quick responses, recommendations, and sharing your beautiful house boat!

If you get the opportunity to book this lovely home, DO IT, and actually spend some time enjoying the peace and comfort of the place. WONDERFUL location with plenty to eat nearby and easy access to public transit. Exceptional library! Peaceful spaces where you WANT to curl up with a good book and watch the boats float past. 12/10 - plan to stay again! Note: not for mobility challenged guests. Take care with the stairs.

Wir waren übers Wochenende bei Tamara um einfach mal zu entspannen. Und genau das konnten wir. Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Wunderschön, gemütlich, toll eingerichtet und liebevoll gestaltet. Tamara ist eine ganz tolle Gastgeberin - offen, flexibel und immer zur Stelle bei Fragen. Die Lage ist toll! Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und suchen schon nach einem passenden Wochenende.

Die Unterkunft war sauber und ordentlich. Wir durften etwas eher einchecken und haben hilfreiche infos bekommen. Super nett 💛 Die Nacht auf dem Hausboot war eine tolle Erfahrung. Die Gegend ist wunderschön🙂

This one-of-a-kind stay in the impressive Schoonschip project gets my full recommendation. We felt instantly at home—if only we could call a place like this our own! Thomas was a 6-star host in a 5-star world. The covered parking spot just a few meters away was a real bonus. Highly recommend!

This boat was such a treat, beautifully presented, spacious, gorgeous views amongst other boats, easy walking around central Amsterdam. The facilities within the boat were top notch, stylish upstairs living space, extremely comfortable beds, lovely bathroom (with the bonus of an upstairs toilet too). If we were there in warmer weather we would have spent more time just hanging out on the deck. Heartily recommend.

OK, so yes, it is expensive but so glad I was willing to pay for it. Beyond our expectations and the most memorable place I have ever stayed in Europe. The host was amazing, answering questions even suggesting a place for a celebration of my daughters birthday. Large supermarket 5 minute walk, reasonable Uber to and from airport. Metro 3-5 minute walk that takes you everywhere you would want to go. We arrive on May day and the river was full of recreational boats. We enjoyed the rowers as well. Truly special.

Staying on the White Feather Suite was an absolute dream and definitely a weekend we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location was serene and peaceful, with beautiful views of the canal. The boat itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, tranquil and incredibly cosy. Every detail was thoughtfully designed—from the cozy bedroom, spa like bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. We especially loved waking up to the gentle rocking of the water and having our morning coffee on the deck. Vera and George were amazing hosts —super friendly, responsive, and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect stay, even surprised us with birthday cake and gifts on arrival. This was one of the most unique stays we've ever had and definitely one for the books. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of adventure, this houseboat is the place to go. We had a wonderful stay on the house boat! It felt like a very unique experience from other places I've stayed and felt very homey in addition to the beautiful surroundings of the canal and a nice walkable area. The Airbnb is in one portion/end of the house boat but I actually was surprised how spacious it felt inside compared to seeing it from the outside. The kitchenette area was nice for snacking and playing cards, really nice patio/garden out front where we enjoyed some beers Ayla and Jake kindly provided, and there is a room between the kitchenette and the bed loft that we used to put suitcases and what not. The bed was super comfy as well. Lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance, also rented bikes nearby from a place recommended in the host guide. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Amsterdam!
