Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. The King William was built around 1670 and is one of a group of three houses that were initially a refuge for impoverished women before being converted into a public house. The pub was known for its association with King William IV, who reigned from 1830 to 1837, and was likely named in his honour. n 2019, the pub closed, and it's now a large modern home with historic charm - log fire, massive DVD collection for family movie nights, sunny courtyard with fire pit, and parking for 4 cars.
