What a fab house this is. We stayed for 6 weeks and did not want to leave. Jo was always on hand if we needed anything but the house is so well set up that we rarely did. The location is fab on a quiet back street but a COOP, Indian and nice bar all within a few mins walk. The house is really well presented and has everything you’d need for a short or longer stay. The hot tub is a great addition and the garden feels really private. All the bedrooms are a great size and perfect for couples. I can’t rate this place highly enough! Full 5 stars from us!

The house was immaculate and exactly as listed. Everything we needed was there! Perfect location with gorgeous surroundings and the hot tub is nice and private. Lovely place for a relaxing weekend, perfect for families too. We will definitely be back!

Such a wonderful stay! This cottage was neat and spacious, as was the garden out back. The hot tub was clean and well-maintained, felt great, and was easy to operate. Town is just a short walk through some really nice and scenic fields, with a Booths supermarket, a number of tempting restaurants, fun little shops, and interesting history all within easy reach. Really relaxing, quiet, and comfortable.

All good but I have to comment the bed mattresses were a little too hard for us all.

We stayed with our Rottweiler for my partners birthday and exceeded our expectations. Spotless lodge, thoughtful layout and safe for dogs, the snacks were also a really nice touch, perfect stay

Just back from three nights and we had such a wonderful time. The property is in a great location with it being walking distance to bowness but also secluded. Kitchen amenities all great, excellent spec bathroom and very clean all round. We had a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. Highly recommend and we will be booking again.

We stayed here with our two young children for two nights, and we had a great time. A nice, peaceful site, which helped us to relax. The lodge had everything we needed and we would definitely return. Great location within easy reach of the castles and beaches.

Nick went above and beyond in supporting our trip. We were 10 adults 6 kids, for me the old worldly feel & nature showing through every window was unreal-Every room felt unique & special. Some family messages below to help summarize the home :) •Aged 11: The house was lovely one of the best experiences I’ve ever been to, it is a massive place and it was a really nice fun place in a little town •Aged 45: It was a wonderful stay and exactly as described. Beautiful peaceful surroundings, very close to village but feels like we were out in the country. House, Beautifully decorated, big but yet felt very cosy. Everything you could possibly need was provided for. Outside amenities included a hot tub which was the icing on the cake of a magnificent property •Aged 74: Such a wonderful ambience for a family gathering so peaceful •Aged 43: Nothing like having you're own personal hotel for a weekend :) Aged 12: I want to live there, it was gorgeous. We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Jerry was super responsive and responded within minutes whenever we needed something, which was really appreciated (even around midnight 😅). The house is beautiful, very well furnished. Hot tub was a favourite and the river is incredibly scenic.

We booked on the day we wanted to arrive. Dispite a last minute booking our hosts were friendly and sent all the information we needed quickly. It is a beautiful, relaxing and well equipped home. Sitting out on an evening was lovely and the hot tub was the cherry on top! Lovely relaxing home surrounded by trees, even saw a fox one night.

The house is absolutely gorgeous, with a very homely feel. All the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything that you could possibly need was provided. there was 14 of us ( all adults) staying there for one week, we get together at least once a year and hire properties of this size throughout the uk, and we have all agreed that this has been the best one that we have stayed at to date. We were very lucky weather wise and we enjoyed spending time on the balcony taking in the view which is beautiful. We have two chefs in our group and they have said that the kitchen facilities are excellent. The lounge is rather tight for 14 adults, however I suspect that it was larger at some point and has been reduced in size to accommodate the bedroom next door which caters for disabled guests, the size of the lounge did not cause us any discomfort. There are plenty of of board games provided for all ages, incase the weather keeps you indoors. We would absolutely recommend a stay at this house.

Lovely nights stay, the lodge was spotless clean and had everything we needed. Slippers, robes and the goodies left were a wonderful bonus. Will definitely be back!

this stay was perfect. the drive past Barnard castle is beautiful with loads of little cafes/pubs/shops ect in the village. On arrival it was super easy to check in and everything we needed was provided. host Julia was so friendly and responsive and made both me and my partner feel so welcome. will be back again!

My family and I stayed Monday to Friday, fabulous site, the lodge was perfect for us and the staff really helpful. Lovely stay.

A spotlessly clean cabin in a beautiful location. Photos are accurate of what to expect, a home from home with a hot tub and morning visits from squirrels! A short drive from otterburn and other local villages. Set in beautiful surroundings and not overlooked by other holiday makers. 10/10, we will be coming again!!

lovely place to stay! will definitely be booking again in the future loved even the small things like having games for to play with, welcome package, having wifi and also speaker to use. The only thing we said was that we wish it had abit more privacy around the hot tub but that’s just personal opinion thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable stay

Absolutely amazing stay could not recommend enough! Hosts were fantastic and very friendly. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the river which is just a short walk away from where you're staying is 100% worth the visit. Youll not be disappointed. We will most definitely be coming back!
