Everything was great from beginning to end. Martian helped with the parking, was super friendly and helpful with deals and offers in the surrounding areas. Great place and the breakfast/service is awesome, super tasty and plentiful!

Pretty good location. Everything is just perfect considering the price, except the room is bit of cold, remember to bring warm clothes!

Booked at the last minute fory birthday - everything in our room was perfect and ready for us to check in early despite booking late in the night before - clean and tidy/the location is absolutely perfect close to the lake and the shops and pubs ect. Richard was a great host throughout and we even got to see the badgers in their front garden!

Excellent lodging in a lovely pub with a great selection of food and beers etc. Quiet location a couple of miles from Appleby centre. Highly recommended.

Raphaela and Steve were very helpful and pleasant. They encouraged us to let them know when we needed something. The cottage has a great bathroom and well-appointed kitchen and is very comfortable. We enjoyed the farm-like atmosphere—it’s so peaceful yet so close to amenities. And the grazing cows standing in the road to town were easily nudged with minimal mooing. We loved it!

We stayed here for four nights, and wish we could have stayed longer! It's so peaceful and cosy. The cottage has everything you need, including beautiful views and a wonderful fireplace. An amazing place to relax and unwind. Warm rooms, a good shower, and a suntrap on the deck out front. There is good phone signal (and WiFi) if you need it, but it's a great place to be tech-free. Close to all of the Roman "attractions". Anne and Maurice were very friendly and welcoming. We will be recommending to friends!

Absolutely lovely 4 night break in Station Cottage. It was clean, spacious and had everything that we needed for our stay. Mick was very welcoming and fun to chat with. The attention to detail in the cottage is very noticeable. We had wondered whether the proximity to the rail lines would be problematic, but it wasn't at all! We had a very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend, and if we had the opportunity, we would return. Thank you!

This holiday home is very well presented, and a great deal of thought has been put in to the guests requirements and ensuring their stay is a comfortable one .. this is evident by it's pristine condition on arrival and the 'little touches' throughout. The location and views are exceptional if you want to switch off from the world and just relax for a day or so. The hot tub is fantastic and really helps you to chill out whilst you're there. Fiona's communication is excellent and any queries sent across to her are replied to promptly ... she has a holiday home to be very proud of ! ... highly recommended 👍🏻😉

this was our second time staying at this beautiful cottage. Everything was was spotlessly clean, lots of wood supplied for our cozy fire on the evenings. Kiki and Tristen gave clear instructions for check in. we absolutely love this place and can't wait to return.

We absolutely loved our stay here for a family weekend with the kids. So homely and clean, with lovely views straight into the water. Great selection of children’s games and everything you could need during your stay. Would love to return in summer for the water sports! Kimberley was so helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

just back from 2 days in this beautiful place. photos do not do it justice at all, it's amazing, peaceful, spotless clean and private , also a great bonus is it has a private outdoor seating area for guests. I honestly couldn't fault it. Victoria was an excellent host and kindly left us some prosecco and cookies, very much appreciated, thank you. we will definitely be back again soon.

My partner and I stayed at Hilary and Peter’s cottage when attending a wedding nearby and we loved it! It’s a beautiful building set in a picturesque village and has been recently renovated to the highest standard. We only met Hilary (and the three dogs!) during our stay and she was the loveliest host who made us feel incredibly welcome and answered all of our questions about the local area to help us settle in as well as having a good old chat. The cottage was also fully stocked with breakfast food, coffee, tea and fresh milk which we really appreciated after an 8 hour drive! We only stayed for a couple of nights but we’ve already decided that we will try and make it back up to the cottage for a longer holiday soon!

I booked this accommodation for a newlywed couple, and they absolutely loved it! From the start, Louise was an incredible host—her communication was excellent throughout the whole process, which made everything smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was the thoughtful surprise she left for the couple—it completely made their day and added such a personal, memorable touch to their stay. The place itself is stunning, with beautiful views and a relaxed vibe that's just perfect for a city break. Would 100% recommend staying here. We had an idyllic stay at Jo and Mick's log cabin. Jo has really put her heart into the holiday home: it is immaculate and beautifully presented. The view of the pond and gardens to wake up to each morning makes your heart sing and the accommodation is calming and peaceful. Jo and Mick are lovely hosts. Jo very kindly gifted us home-made jam, chutney and flapjacks on our arrival, as well as milk, tea, cheese and crackers. This was really thoughtful and much appreciated. The cabin is well located for Longton nature reserve, Booths, Martin Mere, Ainsdale beach and Preston itself. Internet connection is excellent, beds are comfy, wet room/shower good and lounge cosy board games as well as TV (my two are now Scrabble devotees!). Jo really has thought of everything and her love and pride of the property shine through. Highly recommended and would happily stay again.

Great stay at Little Winton, ideally located for our visit to the area, delightful, beautifully presented property. Super hosts, highly recommend.

Mick is a great host and the house is lovely. And the garden on a sunny day was a real treat. Mick was very accommodating and have my kids a small trampoline to play on. Highly recommend staying here.

A lovely little cottage had everything you needed for a short stay and in a great spot in walking distance of everything around Windermere and boweness. Would 100% stay again in the near future.

Myself, my fiancé and our Labrador have just visited Lollybogs cottage for my fiancé’s 30th birthday and wow, it was just amazing! The cottage itself is beautiful and has everything you need, and the garden is just stunning with some gorgeous views from the hot tub (which was ready to get in at any time)! The bed was incredibly comfy too! The area was great. So peaceful and quiet, but only a short drive to Harrogate and other lovely places like Brimham Rocks. Sarah left gifts for my fiancé for his birthday and even decorated which was just lovely. She also left some treats for our dog which was a very sweet touch. We can’t thank Sarah enough for such an amazing stay and I would highly recommend to anyone!!!

My husband and I had a great time staying here. The cottage is absolutely lovely! I really appreciated the pretty and cozy decor and finishings. As an artist, Dorothy knows what she's doing and has created a lovely place to relax and unwind. We brought our road bikes and were thrilled with the rides that we did along Swaledale and up a bit out of the valley. The bath and the stove were very welcome after our rides! We are fully intending to come back here to stay longer. We also particularly enjoyed a meal at the Kings Head along the road in Gunnerside (can recommend the steak pie!).
