The open coal fire makes the evenings extra cosy, making this a memorable holiday stay.

Acorn Cottage

Unwind at this unspoiled quiet, peaceful location in the Lake District national park. Our 17th century farm workers cottage has been renovated to provide modern accommodation whilst keeping its traditional character. 20 mins walk from the village of Ennerdale Bridge, with 2 excellent pubs & a cafe. Many walks and cycle routes from the cottage doorstep. Situated very close to Ennerdale Water & the C2C and wainwright coast to coast routes. Easy access to western fells and solway coast.

Relax at this unique and tranquil getaway. Ideal for two people, this cosy little cottage annexe is near to Cockermouth and is in the Lake District National Park surrounded by views of the Western Fells and views to the Galloway hills of Scotland. 14 miles to the beautiful Lakeland town of Keswick and in close proximity to the Western Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere, Ennerdale Water, Crummock Water and Loweswater. A beautiful beach on the Solway Coast is only 12 miles away.

One of two shepherd's huts located on our traditional working hill farm in the stunning Wasdale valley. The huts have everything you need to enjoy your stay in this beautiful part of the world. Wastwater shepherd's hut comes complete with a double bed, kitchen area with induction hob and a bathroom with shower. Perfect place to start numerous walks from the doorstep including many of the popular Wainwright hills such as Scafell Pike and Illgill Head. Easy access to the lake for kayaking etc.

The Barn, Mosser - For 2 adults and 1 child.

The Barn is a beautifully refurbished retreat in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park. Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. It has a small garden, unique open living space incorporating the kitchen and lounge, lobby, shower room and large bedroom. The Barn is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

Enjoy wonderful views of the Ennerdale fells, extending to Pillar and Steeple. The spacious, comfortable accommodation forms the main section of a larger semi-detached property. You will have the house to yourselves - we will be far away, but contactable should you have any questions or issues. It's self check-in and check-out. There are many good and varied walks nearby, as well as scenic drives and gastro pubs. You will need to bring groceries with you - breakfast is not supplied.

Our luxury detached Lakeland cottage in the village of Lorton sits in a hidden gem of a valley and is a year round destination . Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.

Hidden Haven - a recently renovated 1 bed apartment nestled in the heart of the historic harbour town of Whitehaven. This cosy first floor apartment overlooks a picturesque park, offering a relaxing base from which to explore. Whitehaven boasts some excellent visitor attractions, specialist shops, bars & restaurants which are all within easy walking distance, as is the marina - the official starting point for the C2C cycle tour. Ideally located to explore the beautiful Lake District.

It has a dog friendly beach, is great for fishing, has lots of wildlife and has the most stunning sunsets. In winter, enjoy cosy evenings with the fire lit. An ideal base for exploring the Western Lake District and Cumbrian Coast. It is surrounded by scenic walks and activities. It is close to St Bees coast to coast walk too. Please note- We no longer have a hot tub.

Granted UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2017, this area makes an ideal base for touring NW Cumbria, cycling, hiking fells & round lakes, climbing, canoeing, an en-route stopover for the Coast to Coast Cycle Route or a peaceful, romantic location for a countryside retreat.
