We had a very enjoyable stay at Mark and Jillys Airbnb. The property was very well designed with everything you could want in it. Great location for walking and cycling and Mark and Jilly made us feel very welcome.

Nic and Julie’s place was very homely, very tidy and everything, the kitchen, the bedrooms, was of a high quality. Julie was a very friendly and responsive host, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us out with anything we needed. Would’ve given 6 stars if I could have.

We felt at home the moment we arrived. The house is beautifully laid out and the furnishings are very good quality. There is good off-street parking (and a charging point if needed). The history of the place (it was Roman camp) is fascinating and prompted a visit to Vindolanda, which is about 30 minutes away. It was ideally placed for our planned visits to Newcastle and Durham and we would definitely like to return.

What a fantastic stay we had! Lee was super helpful and patient when we needed to adjust the dates of our stay not once, but twice. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, and the kitchen extremely well-equipped with everything we needed for self catering. It was great to have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The projector in the lounge was a fabulous, fun addition (my 10 year old watched a lot of YouTube on it...) and it was great to have a regular TV in the kitchen too. Of course, the highlight for us was the hot tub and swim spa -- absolutely outstanding, lovely and warm on arrival (and again, spotlessly clean). Our kids are 12 and 10 and LOVED the swim spa pool. The hot tub is incredible, and my husband and I enjoyed that as the sun was setting (the lights around the garden fence are lovely). The variety of bubble/jet settings were great. Having Lidl, Aldi, and Iceland a 3 minute walk away was very handy, and the big Morrisons is just a few minutes' drive.

Great place to stay, did exactly what we were looking for for a lads' weekend. 7 of us so loads of beds and plenty of space in the living area (photos make it look a bit smaller than it is) with a well equipped kitchen. Would have been comfortable with 10. Great facilities, well cleaned. Shame about the weather otherwise we'd have made use of the decking - great outdoor space.

A really lovely and comfortable stay. Really good location for weddings at the Middleton Estate. Loved the character and thought that had gone into the restoration of the stables. Beautiful space - thank you for a lovely stay.
