Brockram Barn is simply stunning. We had a wonderful family holiday - there was everything we could possibly want, and more! Of course, the hot tub and table tennis were fun extras, but Harriet had thought of everything and equipped the home to an extremely high standard and, as a family of five, we had plenty of space. We loved the area and did many of the suggested walks and activities, plus a few more! It was so good to be amongst the sheep, surrounded by green fields and wildlife with beautiful, ever-changing views. Thank you, Harriet and family, for a truly great time!

I booked this property to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday with family. Everyone loved the house and everything that came with it. We struggled a little to find the property but Julie was helpful over the phone. Julie & her husband welcomed us and had kindly set up beers in an ice bucket for arrival which was a lovely start. All the rooms / living room / games room / kitchen all very clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything to cook easily & big fridge for all the food for everyone. Iron & iron board / hairdryer easily found. We had trouble lighting the fire on the outdoor table but they were quickly round and rectified it and got it going. We thought it was great that the wood / coal / fire starters were included as we did use the fire pit and BBQ multiple times. The games room was brilliant, the pool table and darts board was a hit! The location was amazing and the views were spectacular. This home was exactly what it said on the tin. We were all blown away by it and had beautiful weather to make the most of the outdoor area. The only thing we did notice was that there wasn’t enough wine glasses & champagne flutes. Not ideal when there was 8 women so we had to use half pint glasses. We could have also done with more dishwasher tablets to last the stay. Apart from that it was perfect. Thank you.

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful 6 days in this beautiful and charming cottage. It’s well kitted out, clean, has stunning views and is full of character. It’s easy to find. It’s Quiet. The hot tub was an excellent addition and in a perfect spot. The only downside was that it was quite a drive into the north/west lakes but we did know that and expected it to be the case before we arrived. There’s lots of lovely nearby walks too. I’d definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed, it’s a lovely place to stay.

We had a lovely weekend at Moss Side Farm, we travelled with friends, small children and dogs. The contained garden was perfect for the dogs and the farm was lovely to take the children to see the animals. The accommodation is really homely and a good size. Louise is super friendly and helpful, and arranged an extra cot for us which we really appreciated! Would totally recommend this place for a quiet weekend away.

Mark and Ruth were lovely hosts and responsive. The cottage was perfect - cosy, peaceful, and beautiful with the private access to lake making it a true gem. We’ll definitely be back!

A huge thank you to Jackie, John and Cooper 🐶 for everything during our stay this week. The accommodation was perfect for us and felt like home from home. The little additional touches were most appreciated. The location was perfect for walking our dogs, getting a train, walking into Kendal or getting in / out of Kendal by car. We would love to come back when we are next up visiting family in Kendal.

A lovely quirky house as described, well equipped with everything you might need. Sandra was quick getting back with any queries and it was lovely to meet her as we were leaving. Once we had parked the car didn't use it again until we left. Lots of local info in the house, very central to Keswick. We had a great time and would definitely like to go back again 😊

Me and a group of friends stayed here over Easter and it was the most incredible place. Anton and Penny were so helpful and lovely. The complimentary breakfast and food at the pub was so delicious and the yurt was so cosy, clean and well put together. Would definitely come back to this Airbnb. Penrith was a 15 minute drive away and the village was very picturesque. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with some very helpful hosts

We loved spending Easter weekend in this lovely home. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed both the wood burning stove and the nice sunny terrace after exploring Cockermouth and the Lake District.

Superb location and the perfect base for exploring the area. I only wish I had more time to enjoy Cate’s place and its beautiful surroundings—it all looked absolutely stunning. I had a quiet coffee outside one morning before heading home, and it was incredibly peaceful. Inside, everything was just as expected and fully equipped. Cate also left me some of the best brownies and cookies I’ve ever eaten—such a thoughtful touch!

It was clean, warm, and had everything for a comfortable stay. Views are extraordinary from the outdoor sitting area and from the annexe. Safe parking and easy to find address with clear directions. We had a very nice and quiet stay here.

Wonderful place in a perfect location of Keswick. A short walking distance to the shops and the lake. Certainly enjoyed taking the dog out for his walk with all the parks near by and a stroll to see beautiful views of Derwent water. The beds were comfy and the place was nice and cosy. A good variety of entertainment in games and books for the kids as well as ourselves. Having our own parking space was very convenient. We saw a lot of cars taking forever looking for one. I will definitely look at staying again when we next visit 😀

We really enjoyed our five nights at Rattlestones. It is in a fabulous location, right in the centre of Grasmere with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants right around the apartment as well as many walks and things to do and see. We’ve always done a flying visit through Grasmere and didn’t think we’d find so much on our doorstep, we didn’t move the car for the whole stay! The apartment is well stocked, clean and the beds are extremely comfortable, we slept very well. There are lots of lovely cafes for coffee and cake or lunch and a few evening eateries, we enjoyed Lewis Bistro, Tweedies and the 1769 pub. We did many walks- Grasmere lake, Grasmere to Ambleside (and then got the bus back), Alcock tarn (very steep but amazing views), Easdale tarn to name a few and recommend them all. Grasmere was very dog friendly. We would definitely stay at Rattlestones again if we stay in Grasmere. Highly recommend.

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

Immaculate premises , responsive host and an excellent hot tub . Couldn’t be faulted in any way .

We had a great stay at Whitbarrow. We have visited the resort before on many occasions. We had some minor issues in the accommodation which were swiftly resolved by Seasons staff. Kal and Anita were great to communicate with leading up to and during the stay also. Very responsive and helpful. Good facilities onsite too and helpful staff. Thank you

A really lovely cabin with everything you need for enjoying a few days in the Lakes. We loved the location, very close to Ambleside and not far from Grasmere and Windermere for shops. Loads of nice trails available as soon as you leave the estate. We stayed with two kids and it was perfect, would love to visit again!

Our group of 7 adults and 3 kids really enjoyed our stay. The place was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. It provided the perfect getaway and we will definitely be back.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.
