The Bassett House, originally built in 1802, this large historic farmhouse was elegantly remolded in 2018. North Haven, CT is centrally located and just minutes from Yale, Quinnipiac, UNH, and SCSU as well as shopping, the best restaurants, hiking trails state parks and beaches, and many local attractions including various vineyards. We are sharing our "happy place". Cozy, family-friendly cottage has everything you need to enjoy a lovely vacation in a quintessential New England town. Ideally located between Guilford's famous green, gorgeous harbor and town beach, easily walk everywhere. High-season/weekend rate reflected in general view--check for actual. Recommended for groups of up to 4 (5 if with kids). Second bedroom (king) is open to living area-we provide a folding screen for door area and curtain for “passthrough”.

The apartment is private and in a separate wing of a converted factory complex which includes an owner occupied building and artist studio in a quiet residential neighborhood. One bedroom on the ground floor with full bath nearby. The other bedroom is in the loft with queen bed with a daybed in the sitting area for two extra guests. We gladly welcome clean, well behaved pets. ($50 pet fee) Pet sitting and dog walking available for an additional fee. On site babysitting also available.

Outside, you can enjoy the breeze from the Riverfront Deck, Sun Bathe, Crab or Fish on the Lower Dock, watch the Eagles fly by, or wander about the wooded property. Bring or rent a Kayak and paddle down the river right to the Long Island Sound.

Originally from Russia (hence the name “Beriozka” meaning Birch Tree) I live in Stamford CT. About 7-8 years ago I’ve discovered Chester/ Essex area and fell in love. I’ve been coming here during summer to enjoy river rides, during winter just to see snow on the ground of old towns and needless to say during fall – when all the beauty of nature unfolds. Then came an idea to have an own place here and when an opportunity came to buy this small cottage on Cedar Lake I’ve jumped on it.

Traveling nurses, academic rentals happily considered! A beautiful, modern one bedroom apartment on the second floor with a gorgeous view of the Indian River and tidal marsh. It is 600 sq feet, completely renovated, with a queen size bed, a well-appointed kitchen & bathroom. Walking distance to the Clinton train station. Stays in-season include use of 2 kayaks or SUPs per day (2 hours) provided by Indian River Kayak from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
