A truly spectacular home and location. Beautiful views, very private and quiet area. The house itself was clean, spacious & perfect for our annual family reunion. The WiFi & cell service were spotty, BUT that actually ended up being a positive for us! Such a great getaway lodge. One of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in!

Had an incredible stay at Carol’s cabin. Perfect lakeside getaway with an incredible view. Carol thought of everything - even had fresh baked bread waiting for us! Worked great for our group of 7. Would absolutely recommend.

The cabin was a wonderful place to stay. The owner was very responsive and provided good information about things to do. we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others! The house was peaceful and homey.

This home is just amazing. From the sunrises to the sunsets, definitely most amazing view. I have been to TN many times but this home just made this experience such much better. My friends were amazed on every aspect of this home. From the bedroom, bathroom, living room area , balcony just everything makes you feel like you are in touch with nature and so peaceful. Everything we needed to feel like at home this home had . Communication and details about the stay were very cleared . I am already planning and looking forward to being back .

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is spotless, has everything, and is in a great location for accessing the park. A surprising must visit is with the horses, goats, chickens, dog and cat. You won’t bother anyone by visiting and the goats, horses and chickens will take you right to their treats. The dog will bring his stick right to you so you can toss it and he will fetch. Say “drop” and he will lay the stick ay your feet. Mayrene bakes a wonderful lemon poppy loaf and left us six farm fresh eggs. Really had a great time and if we are in the area again we will book with Jack and Mayrene.

I loved this little cabin, and Linda was the sweetest host. I was in an accident a week prior and dealing with rental car issues and she offered to let me reschedule (I didn't have to). The cabin is in a beautiful spot and very cozy. Being able to bring my dogs made life a lot easier, and I greatly appreciate Linda's hospitality and kindness after checkout.

We had a great family filled weekend here and plan on making it a yearly deal for us and hope to stay here again. Beautiful cabin , we all felt so at home. Great location to anything you need or want. We rode Windrock Offroad park in our jeeps and had a blast. The back yard is heavenly with a beautiful creek and plenty of space for our dogs to run. Definitely one of our favs so far 😊

We stayed here on the way to the Smokys. It’s a clean and cozy cabin with a nice view of the river. Good communication from the host. We would stay here again.

Beautiful place. Very cutesy. The hosts are very helpful as my dog had gotten free and ran off and they were friendly as he came running to them. Since their home is at the end of the driveway, anything we needed was easy to access. The host also made sure to check on things we might need due to our longer than usual stay. Evenings were so peaceful in the beauty of the secluded forest during out stay.

We would stay again if we come back

Thank you for sharing this piece of heaven with us. Our family and dogs enjoyed this peaceful and comfortable place. We had gorgeous weather and loved sitting next to the creek to watch the dogs, drink coffee, read a book and even created a little homemade boat race. The porches were also great gathering places for playing a card game or conversation. This place is wonderfully decorated and everything was clean and comfortable. We brought our own bottled water and did have 4 wheel drive vehicles. Thank you for the upfront and excellent directions. I was very happy to have arrived in the daylight as coming in at dark would have been extremely challenging. It was very helpful to let us know in advance that we would not have service once on the driveway. Screen shots of all your info was key. Thank you again for sharing this special place with us. We would love to come back again in the fall.

We had an amazing vacation staying at Russ’s house in Tazewell! The house is beautiful and the view is amazing. The house was exactly like the description and had all the amenities that you would need on vacation! Russ is very friendly and responsive and gave us great local recommendations, especially visiting the Cumberland Gap! We highly recommend this house and would definitely book again!

Great house with lots of room and fun for everyone!

This was a last minute booking and it worked well. Would recommend it for a quiet stay. Only thing I noted was the lighting inside was very dim. Outside lighting was great.

I loved everything about my stay here! It was super private and not too far from restaurants/attractions. Andrea and Aaron were fabulous hosts and I would definitely rebook with them again!

Siempre que vamos en familia buscamos una casa linda donde nos sentamos como en nuestro hogar, porque tenemos dos bebés. La casa es más hermosa que en fotos! Si quieres un lugar tranquilo y hermoso en forma de cabaña para unas vacaciones este es el lugar. El anfitrión es la persona con la que he tratado desde que estoy usando esta aplicación de renta! Tuvimos problemas con el carro al salir para entregar la casa y él fue de mucha ayuda y muy comprensivo. En resumen salir y tomar café en las mañanas en la terraza y mirar lo maravilloso del paisaje y los pájaros de fondo, hermoso… Hacer parrilla, encender la fogata en las noches y hacer Mashmelos con los niños, una experiencia única. Llevamos varas de juguete para los niños para que pensaran que pescaban en la orilla. Mis hijos son pequeños pero disfrutaron mucho el viaje al igual que toda la familia. Gracias por prestarnos su casa y que sintiéramos como nuestra casa.

Joe was gracious enough to let us stay for a month while we took care of my mom after surgery. The cabin is very cute and inviting, but doesn't run on the smaller side. We met 3 of the neighbors while we were there and they are all very nice. The short walk to the lake was a fantastic bonus.

My family and I had a wonderful stay 🤗 The cabin is beautiful and cozy and the view was stunning! We spent a lot of our time out on the balcony enjoying the view, walking our dogs around the area and in the living room watching movies 🎥 Only complaint is that when we arrived after driving 15hrs to get there, the cabin was unfortunately dirty. Very dusty, dirty bathrooms, bedsheets were stained and did not look or smell washed at all, trash and clothes left over from previous guests were littered on closet floors. It looked like the cleaning crew was not in the mood to do their jobs 😅 We arrived around 6pm, very tired from our trip and had to put all our bed sheets to wash and clean all the mess left behind :( Our host was kind enough to refund the cleaning fee. (Also the WiFi was VERY slow) But we did not let any of that ruin our trip so overall we had a great time! 🌟

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heron’s Hideout, and it was an unforgettable experience! This charming, modern cabin offers breathtaking views of rolling hills and the serene Norris Lake. The scenery alone makes it worth the stay — relaxing on the porch and watching the sunset was beautiful. The cabin is wonderfully cozy and well-planned, with every detail carefully thought out for comfort convenience. The layout is open and spacious, and the large windows allow you to enjoy the great views. The wood upstairs had a lot of charm, while modern amenities and an ultra-modern downstairs ensure a comfortable and fun stay. I had never been in a house with so many TVs! The host was also very welcoming and gave helpful recommendations for things to do in the area. It was clear they genuinely care about their guests having a memorable stay. I highly recommend Heron’s Hideout for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with stunning views and a cozy atmosphere. It’s a hidden gem!
