Relax and enjoy the peaceful hamlet setting where we are surrounded by fields and woodland. Listen to the birdsong, particularly in the morning and throughout the day. Enjoy the beautiful lanes and walk the footpaths, one of which is right next to our Cabin. Tavistock is a few minutes drive and full of foodie and artisan shops. Dartmoor can be seen and is only a 10 minute drive. Be sure to visit Brentor church (one of the highest in the UK 1,100 ft) with stunning views of Dartmoor from the top!

Stunning Views in Dartmoor, a Hikers Paradise

Our home is set on Dartmoor National Park surrounded by some of the UK’s most stunning scenery. The house is light and spacious with a well kept garden overlooking beautiful Dartmoor. Plenty of parking as well. There are many different walks straight from our doorstep, and many cycle routes. Ten minute drive away is Tavistock an ancient pannier market town. Five minutes walk to the local pub. So many Devon attractions within driving distance and about an hour to Devon and Cornish coasts.

A little unique gem full of character to enjoy

The Forge is a unique place full of character set at the edge of Dartmoor and only 2 miles from the market town of Tavistock. The Forge is a great place for cyclists and walkers, or if you just want to get away from it all. The Cornish Coast is not far and the city of Plymouth full of history is just a short car journey. Tavistock has the markets and lovely cafes and restaurants. The Forge has a log burner to snuggle up next too on those chilly evenings and a garden to enjoy.

A river to paddle in and lots of outdoor space with trampoline, football and table tennis. Set in 70 acres of farmland, linking up with local footpaths leading to fine pubs, and cycle routes. Dogs welcome. The historic cottage (grade 2 listed) was refurbished to a high standard. Renewable energy sources: solar and biomass.

Kingfisher Pod at Milemead is ideal for those looking to get away from it all. It is located in a tranquil, west-facing spot surrounded by wildlife, directly overlooking a picturesque lake. Milemead is a coarse fishery, and fishing is available to guests. We are located 2 miles from the historic town of Tavistock, 3 miles from spectacular Dartmoor and from popular mountain bike trails, making this a great destination for walkers, runners and cyclists.

Character cottage with all the home comforts located a short level walk from the beautiful historic town of Tavistock. Russell Cottage has been recently and extensively renovated to a high standard. This is a perfect base to explore the South West and Dartmoor. There is a clawfoot bath with a separate wet room shower (not visible in photos). Please note, there are no laundry fascilities.
