We thoughorly enjoyed our stay here. It was like being back in time. This vintage hotel is sweet and very characteristic of the period . It was established in 1895. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Host, Carmen, was so accommodating and is attentive to all your needs.

I booked a 10 day stay at Christine’s B&B for a friend. It was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment of arrival, we were greeted by the warm and welcoming host, who went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. Their attention to detail and responsiveness made us feel right at home. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast - truly an over-the -top affair! Each morning was a beautifully presented feast, featuring homemade delights. The atmosphere at the B&B is tranquil and inviting, rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend Christine’s B&B to anyone looking for a pleasant stay with outstanding hospitality and incredible breakfasts.

We have stayed here many times. It has everything we need. Perfect location for us to be near our grandkids. We enjoy chatting with the friendly hosts. We'll be back for sure.

Mostly everything was excellent about my stay at Christie's. (Christie is their surname, which a lot of commenters seem to confuse). The daughter and father are warm, welcoming and personable. Comfortable beds. Basic cable. Lovely dog, Dusty. Considering the price, great value. There is one caution that maybe is not warranted for everyone unless you are sensitive to smoke (like I am, in an extreme way). After getting there, I had to go back many comment pages to see if I was just crazy in my belief (since no one else was making this comment recently) but I found a few saying the same in 2024. If you are sensitive to residual cigarette smoke then know that this accommodation does have it. I'm not saying they're smoking in the house but it's definitely (at least) there from the past. I don't think my young daughter noticed it, so perhaps it's undetectable to those who are not sensitive. But I would have taken a pass had I known, since it messed with my palette and sinuses.

We stayed two nights and appreciated the cleanliness of the room and property. The main house was lovely and KC the doodle was an excellent greeter. Very kind and welcoming hosts. They made delicious breakfasts (I especially enjoyed the tea options and scones).

Our first impression when walking through the front door of Nonie's home was, "Wow. This place has character!" Our room was large and comfortable, and we really appreciated the private bathroom with a claw-foot tub/shower. Nonie is a charming and helpful host. She suggested trying out a local restaurant that was superb. And she served a substantial and delicious breakfast. We highly recommend the Celtic Mansion to anyone passing through that beautiful corner of Cape Breton Island.

We stayed one night with Greg & Delores after travelling from Newfoundland on the ferry. What a beautiful space. Everything was perfect, we were just sorry that we did not get to stay longer. The snacks and the bottle of Raspberry & Dragonfruit wine that were waiting for us in our room, was such a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing, thank you again Delores. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!!

The inn is off the beaten path, on a lovely road, in gorgeous Baddeck. Our hosts were charming, funny, helpful, and they have a sweet doggy, Casey, who we loved to pet. The property is well-cared-for, clean, cozy, and has wide porches to relax on, a great common breakfast area. Breakfast was diverse and delicious. We only stayed one night but would love to return for a prolonged stay. 10/10!

Glen and Jan went over and above to make us feel at home. They were happy to accommodate my gluten free diet at breakfast, which was a fantastic 3 course affair each day! The large screened in deck was a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the beauty of the place. Jan recommended and helped us get tickets to the local music night in town. We were treated like royalty from beginning to end. Glen and Jan felt like good friends by the time we left.

Everything about staying at the Cozy Fox was fantastic. Amazing hosts (Leanne and Paul) and hospitality. Leanne made us breakfast in the morning. We sat overlooking the beautiful peaceful lake the home is situated on. Just stunning. Very clean, comfortable bed, Leanne gave us great recommendation for dinner in Louisbourg. Highly recommend staying at the Cozy Fox!

Loved talking to Leeanne, she is very interesting and has wonderful stories. Her breakfast was beyond wonderful. I would stay here again and definitely tell everyone about this gorgeous place.

my boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to this lovely airbnb experience while on a camping trip on the island. not only were we greeted with a welcoming smile but every detail of the heritage home was impeccable. our morning breakfast and cooked for us truly took our experience to the next level. I must stay if you're in the area!

Elizabeth n Daniel made us feel like we were family stopping over for weekend. Loved the old furniture and wood furnishings. We especially loved the cats and our rooms. Enjoyed breakfast with Bob n his stories! Media room was spacious clean and well furnished. Very hospitable and accommodating. A unique n pleasant experience!
