Close to Halifax and its historic Piece Hall or Hebden Bridge with its vibrant arts and crafts scene. We are dog friendly with excellent walks for dogs and their people. Dogs must not be left unattended on the during your stay. Carr Cottage is cycle friendly with classic road or off road routes right rom the doorstep.

Beautiful 17th century cottage, in the heart of the Pennines. Situated in Todmorden, West Yorkshire our beautifully restored cottage built in approximately 1665 and overlooking the vibrant market town of Todmorden and only 5km away from the artisan and beautiful town of Hebden Bridge. It provides an ideal base to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire including; Howarth, the home of the Brontes, Halifax, including the Piece Hall and Shibden Hall, the home of Anne Lister and the Pennine Way.

The Old Stables

The property is a beautiful conversion of what was once partly old stables and partly a billiard room .It’s modern but cosy with underfloor heating, a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely bathroom. From the property the centre of Hebden Bridge with all it’s many attractions is just 3/4 of a mile walk (although be prepared for a steep hill) If you want the countryside then it’s on your doorstep, a few yards puts you in the Colden Valley with it’s rich industrial history and fabulous views.

Located in the quiet Bradshaw village, our historic cottage was originally built for workers at the nearby brewery and is conveniently located for visiting Halifax and exploring Calderdale. The Old Brewer's Cottage offers luxury, self-catering accommodation for up to four adults. We are dog friendly for a maximum of two dogs, in a perfect setting for walking and outdoor pursuits near by. The annex is on two levels, entrance, open plan kitchen, dinning and living room. Upstairs is open plan with a double bed with an en-suite shower room and a separate walk in wardrobe.

Although surrounded by spectacular views the train station in Sowerby Bridge is a 5 min car journey away to reach further destinations including Manchester or Leeds. The hosts live next door and are available if needed.
