The Lower Garden District/ Magazine Street area is one of New Orleans' oldest and trendiest neighborhoods, with a mix of 100-year-old houses, cool shops, and restaurants. Walk to Magazine Street, the St. Charles streetcar, coffee shops, and the beautiful homes of the Garden District. Close to the French Quarter, but tucked away from the noise. City bus system close by, St Charles Streetcar within walking distance and only $7-$9 by Uber or Lyft into the center of the city. Parking outside right in front of the house. (Of course, on occasion, you may have to park a couple spots away, however it's rarely a problem to park right in front). This 1865 classic double-parlor, Greek Revival townhouse is owned by a local family. It has been carefully restored to offer visitors an authentic and comfortable hideaway in the heart of the city. It bolsters ten foot windows, ornate cypress molding, and two great porches. The street is quiet, parking is always available directly in front, and many of our neighbors grew up in the neighborhood. The police and fire stations are three blocks away, which adds a sense of safety and security.
