Had a fabulous (and alas, all-too-brief) stay at this architectural gem, located in a quiet and tranquil setting just a few minutes from the centre of Owen Sound. Sim was a wonderful host -- communicative and with lots of tips for things to see and do in the district. We aim to return as soon as possible!

This was our second stay at this home in Desboro. It is the perfect retreat - quiet, space, an extremely cozy (but not small) home. We were happy to be there in a snow storm with a fire, snowshoes, and pingpong!

We spent 2 weekend nights at this beautiful house in August. My husband said for him, it was the highlight of our trip to Tobermory. The place itself is warm, cozy, and truly full of charm and character. We were greeted by Reg, who was very kind and friendly. He helped us with various helpful directions and inputs. He also taught us the game of Crokinole which we played for multiple rounds and shared stories and laughs while at it. I will highly recommend this place and would love to be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Joanne’s cottage. It was super peaceful and very cozy. A great place to get away from it all. Joanne was very helpful in checking in on us and was willing to help in any way she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The enclosed back garden was also great for our dog and our little kids. All in all we had a wonderfully relaxing stay and would happily go back again.

Devan and Taylor, Thank You very much - we had a great family mini-vacation! From booking of the place to us leaving, communications were great, quick and clear. Location is great, 10-minute drive from center of Owen Sound, walkable to the nearest grocery store, many things to do nearby and in the area. The house itself is in a very private area, between trees with a beautiful view from a hill to the field and forest. Very quiet with millions of stars above at night. The house feels recently renovated, clean, fresh, very well equipped for daily family life. We enjoyed every moment of staying here, felt really like home. We are definitely looking to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hummingbird Cottage! Wayne was an attentive and friendly host and even dropped by with freshly picked Zuchini from his garden. The house is spacious and immaculately kept. The grounds are beautiful and far enough away from the road that you don't hear any traffic... or so the neighbours don't hear noisy kids lol. There is ample hot (HOT) water and a large bathtup. The porch is to die for (and has a place to hang wet items that is perfect after a day at the beach). If you are a nature lover, there are birds galore - bring your binocs!. The beach (which is a 5 minute walk with little ones - down a long driveway with a big hill) is quite sandy (not rocky) at this location. Wayne provides a wagon and there are chairs already waiting at the beach. Kincardine is only a 10 minute drive, which is great for dinner out, or that ingredient you forgot to pick up. One of the best stays we've ever experienced! Alex and Dixie were super responsive, and very accommodating with our very last minute additions to our trip. From the moment we arrived at the property, we felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. Alex and Dixie were proactive in making sure we could contact them when needed and ensured that we checked in and out easily. Lots of entertainment provided on site, and multiple hang out spots throughout the house. As the 13 year old said, "the beds were super comfy", and it's definitely hard to impress a 13 year old. Would recommend to anyone who wants a farmhouse experience with a large group of friends/family - a stunning home that has that personal touch you want during your stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Catherine’s property! The house was beautifully maintained, clean, and incredibly comfortable for our group. Everything was so thoughtfully arranged, we found all the essentials and more, which made our stay easy and enjoyable. The outdoor space was lovely, and there was plenty to keep both the kids and adults entertained. Catherine was an exceptional host, very prompt, responsive, and genuinely caring. Her attention to detail and hospitality really made a difference. We’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped getaway, and we’d definitely love to visit again!

Susan is wonderful host! She was always available for any query and issue for whole period of our stay and even before that! This AirBnB is at very quite place and you can emus and horses almost everytime right from your living room window! Beds were so comfy that i would like to buy same for my home!!!! Only unfortunate thing happened that we stayed there for tobermory trip but at wrong timings when it was a rainstorm there. Still it was great to do overnight stay at Susan's place. When we entered then it was clean and felt so fresh! Thanks Susan for everything and also grateful to letting us extend our check out time which was so needed after tiring rainy day at tobermory!

This place was perfect for our boys curling team. We were able to come and go, make meals and rest comfortably. It’s nice to have a place with multiple parking spots.

This was the perfect getaway location. loved the woody smell as soon as we walked in, and the area was a lovely haven for our weekend excursion.

Amazing experience! The Byre is exactly what it promises to be: cozy and welcoming! The ambience is great! Rustic, comfortable, relaxing… From the design to the cleanness, it was evident that everything was meticulously prepared and well-planned to deliver the best experience to the guests. Also, the Farm Store that is open to guests throughout the whole day has the best products! The pizza is truly amazing, as well as the other various products that are all made locally. If you’re looking to disconnect from the city for a few days, enjoy the sounds of nature in a cozy and welcoming place, then the Byre is the perfect option! We’ll definitely going to return! Elisa was a gracious and welcoming host. Very responsive and flexible; accommodated us with a late check-out which made our final morning that much more relaxing. The spa (a modest extra cost) was beautiful and very relaxing - far exceeded expectations! A great location in Grey Highlands

Our second winter stay at Hindman House. Last was an El Nino year - winter sure delivered this year but the long drive was always promptly cleared and Heather provided great instructions on accessing the property and helpful updates travelling in very snow squally Grey Bruce. Even if it was blustery outside, we always were very cozy and comfortable in the quaint welcoming cabin. The local Sawmill Nordic Sk trails benefited from all the snow as did our skiing experience this year. Loved perusing the freezers at the nearby Heat n Eat in Shallow Lake Village which supplemented our dining experience in Hindman's fabulous kitchen. Their offerings of soups and frozen dinners is exceptional. Hindman House has everything that you need for a wonderful winter stay - comfortable & warm beds/bedding, well-stocked and fully equipped kitchen, interesting collection of books and nature reference material, games & puzzles..... Looking forward to a 2026 winter retreat!

Janine's home and property is absolutely stunning! In the area for a wedding our group of 8 felt right at home and there is way more room than we needed. Bedrooms and all living areas are spacious and spotless, everyone complemented me for booking this space. We couldn't have asked for better hosts as they went above and beyond what I would expect. Our only regret was that we didn't book another night. PS. The sunrise from the back deck is perfect

The Shamrock Cottage was an absolute pleasure to stay at. As a group of around 20, we were extremely comfortable in the home and were provided everything we needed. Angus was a wonderful, responsive host. If you're familiar with cottages or farm house living, this property is no different and you can expect some of the fun quirks that come with that type of property. It was very clean when we arrived and the place was larger than the pictures made it seem even! Our group was happy to be able to stay and wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you very much to the team behind this property, 5/5 all around!

The place was beautiful and it was exactly like the pictures. The exterior area was also pretty. The house had all amenities and also complimentary stuff from the host which elevated the house to next level. The sleeping mattresses are also strong and good for the back. The only small thing happened was the dining area couch had a weak leg and it broke. I feel bad for the host but it seemed that the couch was on the verge of breaking anytime and we avoided sitting also but by mistake someone forgot. The person was fine with only few scratches on the knee as it was a low fall! Other than this the house is perfect getaway and I would definitely visit again. The warm welcome was highly appreciated and we enjoyed the entire time.
