The End is a beautifully refurbished retreat in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park. Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The End is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps TWO ADULTS and TWO CHILDREN. It has a large shared garden, unique kitchen and lounge, bathroom and ONE large bedroom (a King and two single sofa beds). The End is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. The ground floor contains an open plan living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There is a utility room accessed via a low stone doorframe. Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

Our cottage is a converted lakeland barn in the village of Pardshaw, near Cockermouth. Ideal for couples, walkers, cyclists, or families as a base for exploring the stunning Western Lake District. Loweswater is a ten minute drive away and Crummock, Buttermere , Keswick and the coast are all within half an hour. It's very cosy in the winter with comfy leather sofas and a woodburning stove, and there's a large 1st floor deck for Al Fresco dining in the summer.

Converted Barn, Patterdale in the Lake District

Welcome to Crook a Beck Barn, Patterdale a former Cart Barn which we lovingly restored during 2017. The Barn is located on the original coach road in the hamlet of Crook a Beck, next to the village of Patterdale, in the heart of the Lake District, in one of the most beautiful Lake District valleys. During peak season - April to the end of October, 7 nights minimum stay with a Friday changeover. Short breaks may be available so please drop us a message to ask!
