Very nice place to stay and with 2 good access points to the mountain. We were worried it would smell like animals bc it is pet friendly but it did NOT smell. We would definitely stay here again.

The cozy basement suite was so nice and spacious with its large living room area & the gas log fireplace. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything. There are plenty of towels for shower and hot tub. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing. Brad is the kindest host that we have ever met and he was very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants - he even offered to pick up dinner for us! And he gave us a beautiful calendar for 2025. Thank you, Brad & Susan, for an amazing stay! We will not look for another place on our next ski trip in the area (and hopefully it will be available since the words are getting out about this amazing place).

Nancy's home is the perfect getaway. This is our second stay and I hate it took so long for us to be able to get back here. It is so peaceful and relaxing. She is such a gracious host and quick to respond to any questions we may have had. While this stay had mostly cloud filled mornings, I know the sunrises here are unforgettable. Set your alarms... you don't want to miss them. You're on vacation, you can always lay back down. Grandview restaurant nearby shouldn't be missed either. Whether you are visiting area locations or simply chilling at home you will enjoy every second of your stay at Blue Moon Manor. Anytime we get the opportunity to visit the area, Nancy's calendar is the first thing I check for availability. The only sour point of our stay was having to check out and head back to the coast.

This little cabin was in a gorgeous location! Right next to the snow tubing and not far from grandfather mountain! The views from the hot tub were amazing! Brought our two dogs and they loved it! The patio with the hot tub was fenced in so the dogs were able to hang with us while we were relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely would recommend and plan to come back!

We were able to relax, which was most important to us during this much needed family vacation. The cabin is so cozy and adorably appointed. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. Amy was right about the deer. They were so friendly and beautiful to watch. The road was very amenable to morning strolls and afternoon walks, the views were breathtaking. We hope to make this a new yearly tradition. Thank you so much, Amy. We highly recommend Amy’s cabin.

I absolutely loved my stay with Nancy. One of one host and experience. Stunning property! She was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful. We had a wonderful time talking with her and learning about the area and her property. Her home was gorgeous and full of places to explore and things to do. I'll definitely be returning and taking pottery lessons next time!

We had a wonderful time! It’s located very close to Sugar Mountain ski resort (5min or less) the views are spectacular (2 decks) and kids really enjoyed the many deer. Fully stocked kitchen with k-cups! (THANKYOU) Very close to the grocery store-food lion.Loved our stay, would absolutely visit again! *Some tips for other travelers* It is on top of the mountain so expect lots of tight turns and some narrow roads but I had no trouble finding the location and parking right to it. There is a downstairs neighbor so if that’s occupied- you can hear everything below & door shuts heavy so reccomend bottom bedroom, put your heavy sleepers there :)

We have rented homes on Watauga 15+ times and this so far has been our favorite. It’s very obvious how well the home and outside is cared for. The patio, furniture, and dock are all so clean. I have found that a lot of places lack that part. It was so nice to be able to paddleboard and kayak without paying extra. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and plan to return for future visits if it’s available!

Great place, walkable to sugar mountain lodge. The bed was very comfy. It was about an 8 minute walk or 1 minute drive to the lodge. And the ski locker was a great amenity! Will stay here again for sure!

Love this cabin! This is our second time staying here and it’s a joy. The fire pit is a good time and the DVD selection has some classics for entertainment. Off grid feel with access to a good hike down the road.

We absolutely loved this place as a get away for a couples’ weekend so much so that we are planning to return with our children this summer. It’s very homey and has everything you need to disconnect from things and relax. We can’t wait to return!

I have stayed here so many times. We could stay for a week and never leave. The environment is inviting and the creekside amenities are amazing. It’s such a pleasant, restful experience. I will be back soon! Darren

Great location just a short drive to many attractions and just a short walk to downtown. The place was clean and just as described. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay there the past few days. The condo was well laid-out and decorated nicely with a welcoming feel. Everything was clean and comfortable. The kids had a great time in the pool and hot tub. We hope to stay there again in the future. :)

We had a great stay at this condo, Avery was very helpful and communicative and answered any questions I had very quickly. The views were stunning, the area was beautiful, we would definitely love to come again.

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

Perfect place to stay on my snowboarding trip, extremely clean space, beautiful view, and immediate access to the slopes. would definitely recommend, and if i find myself at coming to sugar mountain again i would absolutely stay here.

Whitney & Jay were great hosts—responsive and helpful when we had questions. The space was just as shown/described in the listing. My family of four enjoyed our stay during spring break and our first time skiing during Sugar Mountain’s end-of-season March Madness. We made such wonderful memories here. Be sure to enjoy the most stunning sunrises and sunsets from the balcony.
