Brad was the most accommodating host with great restaurant, activity, and shopping recommendations. Gingerbread restaurant had the best food of our entire trip in CR. This house sits in a beautiful property, surrounded by gardens, large trees, and amazing views of the lake. Interior was open, clean, and all the amenities we needed. We loved sitting on the wrap around porch, listening to the bugs, watching the birds, and taking it all in.

We had a wonderful stay. Very clean, great location, and an amazing view of the volcano. Heydi was a great host!

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in diesem Haus! Jeden Abend konnten wir traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge direkt vom Balkon aus genießen – die Seesicht ist einfach spektakulär. Besonders begeistert waren wir von der großen Badewanne, die für pure Entspannung gesorgt hat. Das Haus ist geräumig und bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich hilfsbereit und haben uns viele tolle Empfehlungen für die Gegend gegeben. Ein weiteres Highlight waren die süßen kleinen Hunde, die uns immer wieder besucht haben – meine Kinder haben sie über alles geliebt! Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Lucia's place was a beautiful spot. We're so happy that we chose Nuevo Arenal over La Fortuna because it gave us a small Costa Rican villager experience while staying in an amazing house. Access to everything was great and very easy.

Greetings, I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. We loved the views of the lake and mountains. The view from the living room is a constant reminder of the incredible natural beauty of Arenal. We enjoyed how the morning light fills the house, especially the main bedroom. We cooked almost every day. Great stove and a well equipped kitchen was a plus and saved us a lot of money. The house is cozy with great views. The grounds are beautiful and enhance the surrounding natural beauty. We really enjoyed the quiet comfort of the house and the environment you have created. Wir waren als Paar in der Unterkunft von David. Es ist ein sehr privates Gelände mit zwei separaten Häusern. Ein Auto sollte definitiv vorhanden sein. Der Blick durch die Glasfassade oder auch vom Balkon aus auf den Vulkan sind faszinierend. Der Balkon ist sehr einladend, um ein kühles Getränk zu genießen oder Yoga zu machen - tolle Kulisse! In der Umgebung gibt es auch Restaurants, wobei ich hier empfehlen würde nach La Fortuna zu fahren (ca 20-30mim Fahrtzeit). Die Kommunikation mit David war einwandfrei, schnell und freundlich. Mögliche Aktivitäten für aktive Personen in einem Umgebung von ca 60km: Hanging Bridges, Cavernas de Venado, Rio Celeste, Mirador El Silencio.

Had a great vacation at this beautiful home, we are a family of 5 with 3 girls (15, 13, and 11). The kids loved having their own room and bathroom. The "kids room" is located in the back corner of the property with the pool in-between the main guest house and the kids room, worked out great for us. We loved the open air outdoor kitchen. House is nicely removed from La Fortuna but the main guest house does back to the road and can hear the traffic, while light, in the evenings and morning while sleeping, not a big issue. We spent our days exploring the area, loved the food at Jalapas, La Fortuna waterfall, rope swing, ATV and Hot Spring combo excursion (La Finca Lodge, check it out! Only 12 people at the hot spring), and Judah set us up on a white water rafting trip that was a blast! Pool was bigger than expected and enjoyed while we were on the property. Used the propane grill and outdoor burners. Beds comfortable. The grounds are very well kept and have a very nice walking path.
