The house was spotless with plenty of room downstairs for us. The main bedroom was large and lovely with an ensuite shower/ toilet. The other 2 bedrooms were smaller but perfect for our needs. All beds were very comfy. The kitchen/diner was VERY well stocked with everything thing we could have needed. Lovely welcome basket with fresh bread and milk with some goodies too and a fresh bag of coffee. Lots of little thoughtful extras, like books, games, doggy items, beach towels and a fab record player! We loved sitting in the garden in the morning and evening. Hardly noticed there were neighbours as it was very peaceful despite being a residential area. We loved our stay and if back in the area would definitely stay again. Immaculately clean, lovely place to stay! We were only staying one night much to my 3 year old wanted to stay forever!!

We loved this place, it was perfect for our six year olds, they loved the garden, the spacious rooms and it was a great location to base ourselves while we explored to NE - we will be back xx

Great hosts, offering a pristine, fully equipped cottage in a great location. We’ll certainly look to use it of free on our next trip if it’s available, which will hopefully be soon. Parking is right outside the property but a little tight for access. Not a problem for us and neighbours were considerate and helpful, but anyone who’s not keen on reversing might get stressed. That said, there’s loads of free parking available nearby on the street and we’d be happy to use this tbh. It’s not a long walk, c20yds or so. I was daft enough to leave something behind and Georgie was very quick to let me know she’ll get it in the post to me. Very pleasant and helpful hosts. We loved it. Thx Chris and Georgie

So we're just back after a lovely stay! Property is perfect for two adults and ideal as a base to explore Northumbria. House has everything you need, Well equipped kitchen with fridge hob oven grill and microwave. Nice dining area. We loved the log burner which really heats up the living area!! Huge bed upstairs and nice bathroom with shower and plenty of towels. Would definitely recommend this property, especially if you are a beach lover!! The beach is just a few steps away from the front door. Top Tips. Local B&M sells bags of logs which are very cheap we paid £5 per bag. Watch out for the hot water in the kitchen, it can get super hot.

Perfect place to stay if exploring Newcastle and surroundings. Sandra had thought hard about what her guests might need and it was all available for us.

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

We had a fantastic stay here over the Easter weekend. Lynn and Louise are fantastic hosts always really responsive and went above and beyond in leaving an Easter welcome basket with treats for the kids. The caravan is clean and exactly like the pictures and description provided. We didn’t use the site amenities but the caravan is located close to the main entertainment centre and pool. It is only few mins walk down to the lovely large sand beach which the kids and dogs loved! Overall we had a great stay here and would happily recommend!

This is a lovely place to stay, in a quiet part of the countryside. Shared amenities, including games room, gym and pool, are excellent. The cottage itself is spacious and comfortable, with all the essentials we needed for our holiday.

Beautiful caravan and very clean. Looks exactly like the photos. Well decorated and little extras. really helpful things like salt and vinegar and shower gel. right on the sea front with a 10 walk to get feet on the sand. Beach was amazing really peaceful and lovely sunrise view. A lovely few days stay 💚

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

A wonderful weekend break at Swallowtails. The accommodation was tastefully decorated and extremely clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Set in a beautiful rural surroundings and countryside walks. The local village has a couple of good pubs within easy walking distance and are dog friendly. Lots of great places to visit within a short drive. The hosts were extremely helpful and respond quickly to any queries. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay in Whitley Bay at Claire’s caravan. On the edge of the park closest to the sea so great views of the coast and lighthouse. We were lucky with the sunsets - they were beautiful! Recommended!

Kevin and Jane's communications were brilliant. The house was amazing, everything you could think of was catered for and more. Home from home, comfortable, clean, spacious. Doggie treats and human treats were left out for you. I really can not recommend this place enough, it was superb. Fabulous place for peace and quiet. So close to the beach for walks with the dogs. Everywhere we walked to was really catered for dogs. Some great places to walk to on the beach. Accomodation warm and cosy just as described, host made you feel at home with nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy parking outside the house. The house is beautifully decorated, every thin you could need is supplied. Beds very comfortable and nice clean fresh bed linen and towels. Lovely bathroom and powerful shower. All in all a lovely home, close to beach and easy access to other places of interest. We absolutely loved our stay at The Hideaway! The location was perfect, and the cottage had everything we could possibly need. It was a bit more compact than we had pictured, but so thoughtfully laid out that it still felt cosy and comfortable. Packing and unloading weren’t entirely straightforward, but the option to park for free in the main car park or down by the river was a real plus, both were very convenient. The surrounding area is stunning, with beautiful riverside walks leading to the castle or the beach. The local pubs are delightfully dog-friendly, and everyone we met was so kind and welcoming. A big thank you to our host, Elaine, who was incredibly responsive and helpful, it made our stay all the more enjoyable. We're truly grateful for such a lovely experience!
